Surviving a day in school with Judd

so, let’s say your boyfriend has one of those rare days where he decides to actually show up to school

He’s so, so tired in the morning

I’m talking slow blinking, yawning and constantly leaning his forehead on stuff to try and catch a quick nap in class or while standing up

He’s also constantly complaining, acts like it’s your fault he has to be there

He will be following you around the entire time too

No one will talk to you willingly the whole day because Judd is just always standing broodingly behind you

You’re getting something from your locker? Judd is standing there, scowling and leaning against the lockers besides yours so no one except you can get to their stuff

You’re talking to your friends? Judd will still just stand there a bit behind you, glaring at your friends or using his whole body weight to lean on you

Even if you’re talking to his friends, he’s not that talkative, he prefers just to let you lead the conversation

He does actually have those, friends I mean, like people he can hang out with if you’re not available, or people who host parties

You’re definitely getting initiated into his friend group as soon as you start dating, they’re all kinda like him anyways so you’d fit right in lol

But omg he’s so clingy at school

He just misses you between classes, yk? ),:

After the first classes, he’ll be more awake

You can’t tell if that’s good or bad tbh

It’s not like he actively goes out of his way to disturb classes or anything, but he’s definitely not an ideal student either

Like, he’s not one of those annoying kids who purposely talk really loudly or throw stuff or whatever

but he will sit with his feet up on his desk if he feels like it, doesn’t respond when he gets called on, will call the teacher a colourful variety of curse words and ends up getting kicked out and send to the office

Maybe just don’t call on him and he won’t insult you? 🤷🏻‍♀️

(He’s also literally the worst partner for assignments ever)

That’s in his own classes at least,, let’s say you share a PE class with him and it will very quickly turn into “hey let’s skip and go fuck in the bathroom”

The days were Judd shows up to school is definitely the days you get in trouble/ and/ or detention

Okay but that’s another thing, the other half of the day he will just show up outside of your classes

Either because he got kicked out of his or he has a break or something, he’ll just stand outside and wait for you to come out so he can drag you somewhere and yk,, get all the horny out of his system

Maury also straight up refuses to deal with Judd’s school, as soon as he enters he’s doing his best to convince Judd to find you and have sex or something instead

Omg,, the many, many, poor people you’ve traumatised in the school bathroom or parking lot

(He will also fuck you in his car in front of the school lmfao)

You usually eat lunch with Leah or your respective group of friends, but when Judd’s there you’ll eat with him

(You probably have to pay for his lunch🧍🏻)

Sometimes, though, he’ll drive you two out to get McDonald’s or something

Leah will sit with you at lunch too, so she can bully Judd for showing up or rant to him about something or whatever

Also if anyone’s bothering her, Judd is the best way for her to get out of talking to them

After lunch, you have a class with Leah so he’s once again left to his own devices

He reluctantly goes to his own class because he doesn’t have anything else to do lol

Unless it’s a teacher that’s really really nice, he gets kicked out again

The man literally spends the entire school day just roaming around because he keeps getting send to the office lmfao

He would probably try to get into the school’s vents as well? He’ll crawl over to where your class is and bother you by throwing paper or something through the vent

You’re just sitting in class, and suddenly a bunch of small paper scraps falls from the ceiling and lands in your hair

You look up, only to see your boyfriend grinning and gesturing with his head for you to leave the room

Leah sees it too and has to do her best not to burst out laughing 🫣

Surprisingly, he shows up to after school detention

Definitely not because you dragged him there and told him it was his fault for getting you roped into it as well—

You two sit in the back, and you try to do your homework while Judd naps

Sometimes you’ll share headphones or Judd will steal some of your notebook paper and draw on it

Judd is super distracting literally by just existing, he’s the loudest quiet person ever if that makes sense

When you’re finally out of school, Judd is by default expecting yet another rendezvous in the back of his van

It’s actually kinda fascinating how much the guy can go in just one day—

But anyways, he’ll drive you home or to his house or wherever you wanna go

Sometimes you come with him to pick up Nick from school

Okay so here’s one of Judd’s secrets

He can actually drive like a normal person 😮

I mean, sure he’s always a bit above the speed limit and a bit too close to hitting ppl walking close to the road, but he almost only drives like a race car driver when Nick’s in the car

Because he knows Nick hates it lol

You would have gotten used to it by now, because you know he isn’t actually gonna hit someone

But Nick doesn’t know that

Driving really, really fast is probably also a way for Judd to destress or wind down after a long, and boring, school day

He’ll pass the fuck out when he gets home from school

Well, he’ll knock back half a Jack daniels and raid the fridge and then pass out

You’re more than welcome to anything in the birches fridge yourself, so if you’re feeling particularly nice pls make him something sustainable

His idea of a proper meal is literally a bag of chips— I’m so stressed

Anyways, congrats. You made it through a whole school day with Judd lol

Don’t expect him to show up again tomorrow, though 🤷🏻‍♀️

i have many many thoughts about the portrayal of elizabeth (and henry) in adaptations of frankenstein and they need to be broadcasted immediately. feverish incoherent raving about this subject under the cut. tw for very brief mention of SA

so. elizabeth lavenza. by the time of the wedding, elizabeth is rather obviously portrayed to be just as morose and brooding as victor is, she just isn't as susceptible to episodes of mania and psychosis so it doesn't seem nearly as dramatic compared to victor's trauma. she's been through the gutter herself, being an orphan for starters, then being adopted into a family and having to assume the role of caregiver in the frankenstein family because of the coercion of her dead mother to not only take her place as the maternal figure in the family but also marry her surrogate brother (or literal cousin, depending on which version you read). then her surrogate younger brother william dies, and the within weeks she has to watch her closest heterosexual life partner justine be unjustly hung by a corrupt justice system. and she vocalizes, actively, her pessimism and hopelessness in light of these many tragedies. tldr she's fucked up and rightfully so, and while she's a little less crippled by depression than victor, she still has the distinct appearance of being rather ill, listless, and tired, especially towards the end of the novel. anyways my point is in the novel, the most important thing about elizabeth is not that she's a woman and victor's bride. yes, that's obviously the purpose she was created for, but shelley went out of her way to give elizabeth an extremely definite and unique character. she's gentle and maternal like most woman in early 19th century literature, but she's also introspective, intelligent, and perceptive. she displays agency and self-awareness repeatedly (her guilt over the locket, going to the execution of justine even when alphonse tells her not to, waxing poetic on the failures of the justice system, asking repeatedly and rather pointedly if victor actually wants to go through with the marriage, obvious anxiety and solemnity concerning the wedding) we also have to take into account that elizabeth's personality is being relayed to us BY VICTOR, and he wants to see elizabeth as docile and femininely passive, even if a lot of her actions themselves in the novel actually seem to contradict that. also, i am peppering in that many people can (and have) made a genuine and convincing argument that victor and elizabeth are not in love and were groomed to accept their union by their weirdo parents - that they care for each other, but the text includes important nuances that make it evident that victor doesn't feel anything for elizabeth like that. it is a legitimate interpretation of the book - dare i say it's the correct interpretation of the relationship between victor and elizabeth. but that's another essay for another day and it's not SUPER integral to my rant here today. it just highlights the complexity of elizabeth as a character.

so. for some fucking reason, writers do not understand this when they are adapting the novel, and do not want to apply more than eight seconds of critical thinking and the absolute shallowest 3rd grader levels of reading comprehension to this character, so they simplify her from what she was in the original novel, freshly complex, opinionated, and introspective to boring useless incest lady. victor is never portrayed with the same amount of nuance he deserves in any adaptation (also another essay for another day), because adaptations also have a very surface level reading of him as "guy who was ambitious and played god which immediately cements him as an irredeemable self-aggrandizing asshole and/or a raging insufferable narcissist who's a dick to everyone around him EXCEPT for elizabeth" but at least SOME adaptations are able to kiiinnnddaaaa capture the sympathy meant to be felt for the character in the novel. not so for elizabeth. her character in basically every adaptation can be boiled down to this: "omg victor my brother let me hammer in that you are my brother. im just going to stand here and look clueless and annoyingly naive for the entire time im on screen/stage. im just a little girl and idk what's going on victor but im gonna stay blindly devoted to you and ask numerous but completely useless questions 🥺 let me stare at you with tender worry in my eyes and treat you like a child even though we have absolutely no romantic chemistry and you're an objectifying dick towards me and we have nothing in common and the audience is actively dry heaving as we sensually make out for no other reason than to have characters in this movie sensually make out. im basically a carbon copy of original-novel-henry expect super boring and super useless because im a woman which means the doylist explanation for why im here HAS TO BE ONLY for the main character to fuck me and to hold the attention of the male viewership. now time for me to get SA'd by the creechur for basically no reason" we can observe something approximating this in basically every frankenstein adaptation i've ever seen: kenneth branagh's (my enemy) 1994 film, the 2004 hallmark miniseries, the musical, and the ballet. also in the 1931 film, but that one isn't really trying to be book-accurate so it doesn't really count for this rant.

with this understanding of elizabeth, writers then attempt to artificially generate more romance between these characters, mostly by, yes, replacing a lot of henry's role in the novel with elizabeth, hence why we see so many adaptations (1994, 2004, ballet) make elizabeth nurse victor back to health in ingolstadt instead of henry, which generates... so many problems. one problem with this is that it just sorta ruins henry's original role in the novel in one go. writers recognize that henry is supposed to be victor's character foil, but now they don't have much for him to do so he can demonstrate that role in the story since they gave all of the romantic tension moments to elizabeth. meaning that in adaptations you can tell the writers didn't really know what to do with henry because he's reduced to a comic relief bumbling idiot (1994, ballet, 2004 to an extent) with his only personality traits being "random xd" and "morals good playing god wrong!!!! 😠" (2004, musical, several independent stage adaptations). they keep him as a character foil, but just replace all of his compassion, tenderness, and devotion with elizabeth, while effectively draining henry of all of his original appeal and charm and stamping those traits onto their already stripped-of-all-nuance elizabeth. so now both henry and elizabeth are not only extremely different from their original roles in the novel but extremely, woefully less charming and complex. this especially pisses me off because it's explicitly stated in the book that henry was victor's only friend precisely because he was victor's intellectual equal, so seeing henry reduced to a smiley idiot and/or stupid generic male side character with Morals fills me with a visceral rage. writers will also sometimes make victor and henry meet in college (ballet, 1994) and try to strengthen the bond between victor and elizabeth by making it appear as though she was victor's ONLY childhood friend and companion. other times, victor and henry will be friends pre-ingolstadt (2004, musical) but most of the relationship development will be between elizabeth and victor. those two have all of the tender bonding moments while henry is just kinda inexplicably there sometimes. but i digress. this post is supposed to be about elizabeth. but IF YOU NEED A CHARACTER TO BE A SUNSHINE SOFT OPTIMISTIC LOVER FOR VICTOR IN A FRANKENSTEIN ADAPTATION, HENRY IS ABLE AND WILLING ARE YOU STEPPING ON MY BALLS

elizabeth is somehow more complex and powerful as a female character than the literal adaptations produced almost 200 years later. in adaptations, the most important thing about her is somebody else. the development of all of her character traits (which usually never go beyond standing around and looking helpless) are solely dependant on victor. she feels more like an appendage of the protagonist than an individual with thoughts and experiences separate from victor, and her character is loosely defined and flimsy so the writers can have her conform to her actions in the book whenever it's convenient and then change things up entirely that completely contradict her characterization in the book whenever it's convenient. i have no idea why the fuck this keeps happening with frankenstein adaptations (it's misogyny) and because it isn't looking like guillermo del toro's film (from what ive heard) is going to be super book accurate, i dont foresee too much of a shift in frankenstein adaptations.

look i get it. it's a movie/play/ballet which lasts like 2 hours and you have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it. i understand you have to make sacrifices for brevity and these characters are, frankly, a lot less interesting and exciting than victor and creechur. people didn't come to see john hughes levels of charm and complexity in the side characters, they came to watch the creechur do scary shit and for victor to say IT'S ALIVE 😱 and be an evil mad scientist you love to hate. they came for their values of "it's wrong to play god!!!" and "too much ambition bad!!!" to be re-cemented even though that's not even the original point of the novel. which is why imo if you're going to adapt frankenstein in a manner that does justice to the beautiful and sublime subtlety of the original novel, it needs to be either a miniseries or a REALLY LONG film. it's a short book, but it's very eventful, and imo for an adaptation to work you have to let the audience sit with it. which is why you all need to donate to my gofundme so i can produce an honest to god frankenstein adaptation. in fact, im running for president in this year's primaries :3

A/N: I am late as usual and just watched Encanto and needed to write something because I love that family with my whole HEART. I'm not sure how much I'll write for it, but feel free to send me prompts for now and maybe I'll fill them!!

Mirabel hid sometimes, when it all became too much. She was certain no one noticed - everyone used to her being in the way, to her overwhelming urge to try to be of use. It always surprised her when she did it, because it was usually for the smallest reason. The last straw breaking the camel’s back. A change of tone. Someone ignoring her, or snapping at her, or the whole house moving to a rhythm she couldn’t keep up with and she finally realized she was tired. And so she hid. Not in the nursery, because that didn’t seem like hiding. Anyone could find her there. She didn’t want to be found.

Not immediately, anyway.

“There you are.” Mirabel caught the anxiety melting off of Luisa’s face when she looked up to find her crouching down to peek at her. “Only you would think to hide beneath Dolores’ bed.”

Mirabel grinned sheepishly. “I figured no one would expect me to go for the person who would hear me even approaching the door.”

Luisa laughed, delighted. “That’s clever. Too bad she could hear your breathing and told me to check on you. Scoot over.”

Mirabel did what she was told and didn’t bat a single eyelid as Luisa lifted the bed so that she could crawl under it too. “I’m fine,” she said before her sister could ask.

“You’re not.” She knocked their shoulders together as lightly as she could, but it still jostled her. “It’s okay. I don’t blame you.”

Mirabel wasn’t used to people noticing, except her mother. Even if they did, most of them kept quiet about it; her lack of powers as hush hush of a topic as Bruno’s existence. Antonio’s big day was approaching and the house was a whirlwind of preparations that she wasn’t getting included in. In fact, Abuela was probably two mistakes away from tying her to a chair to keep her from intervening. It was quite humiliating.

“Humiliating to be able to sit back and relax?” Luisa said when she’d finished ranting.

“To not be of use.” Despite her frustration she didn’t miss the way something flickered across Luisa’s face which she couldn’t fully interpret. “I don’t mean to complain, I promise-”

“It’s good to complain sometimes.” Luisa wasn’t looking at her, instead opting to pick at a speck of dust on the floor which only she seemed to be able to see. “It’s better than hiding.”

Mirabel buried her face in her arms, suddenly embarrassed. “I don’t mean to hide.”

“Hey.” A poke to her side. “Look at me.”

“Don’t wanna.”

Luisa let out a laugh. “Come on. Please.” She dragged out the word, almost singing it. Mirabel could picture her grinning, the way she would when they were younger and Isabela had pissed Mirabel off so that Luisa had to try to save the day. Luisa always tried to save the day. They were alike in that way, only at least her sister usually succeeded while Mirabel always failed.

Another poke to her side, as if Luisa could sense she was wallowing. “Mirabel.”

Mirabel whined, burying her face even deeper so that her nose was almost touching the floor. Maybe she should’ve found a better hiding spot.

The poke was suddenly aimed higher, which was definitely on purpose, and Mirabel cried out and tried to move her arm down to shove Luisa off, only Luisa grabbed it before she could and poked at her upper ribs again just where she knew it tickled.

“Luisa!” Mirabel shrieked, already laughing, realizing how close her sister’s now continuous pokes were to her armpit. “Don’t!”

“Should’ve looked at me when I asked you to.” She could hear Luisa’s smile in her voice, although she couldn’t see much as she’d knocked off her own glasses in her attempt to roll away in a space that was way too small for this type of activity.

Still she tried, rolling over to the side which Luisa was torturing to try to block her attacks, which of course just led to Luisa going for her belly, hugging her close in the process so that Mirabel couldn’t move away at all. Whatever she was saying through her laughter, Luisa ignored. Mirabel wasn’t entirely sure it made sense anyway, her words jumbled and choppy, her giggles bubbly and loud.

“I wonder how Dolores hasn’t burst in here yet, since it sounds like I’m murdering you.”

Dolores was, unbeknownst to them, standing just outside the room smiling at the sound of her cousins.

Is it just me or does Monty not get enough flack for the stupid reason why he hates Rapunzel?

I understand (although I don’t agree) that he doesn’t like the pub thugs in the castle and Rapunzel being barefoot, struggling with change as an older man who likes tradition, but surely that’s something to take up with the King and Queen or blame the government for, not the 18 year old Princess, who was traumatically kidnapped, abused her whole life and is just now integrating into society?

I know that him and Raps do become friendlier with one another over time, but I do feel like Monty was victim-blaming Rapunzel. He was basically doing what Cass did in season 3 but here’s the difference:

Cass had been Rapunzel’s friend, she’d known her for years and they were having MAJOR friendship issues, Cass’ mind was being warped by a literal demon and she also had some implied mental health struggles that she was dealing with at the time, those factors DO NOT excuse her words or actions, but they do help to explain them and show that Cass potentially doesn’t understand the weight of what she’s saying (due to ZT getting into her head).

Monty on the other hand was a grown-ass man, who had never met this girl before in his life, the only knowledge he had of her was that she’d been kidnapped and isolated for 18 years, he had no one influencing him think/say those things or treat Rapunzel badly, he just did it to be cruel and he’s nice to everyone except her!

Imagine treating a girl who’s been through one of the most awful things that could happen to a person, like dirt when she’s trying to be kind to you and purposely giving her lollipop that fell on the floor.

I’ve seen so many YouTube reviews saying that the episode teaches a good lesson about that not everyone has to like everyone, and it’s on them if they don’t like you, you don’t have to change their opinion, which it does, I love the episode’s message, but I just wish that they’d given Monty a better reason to hate Rapunzel. A less cruel and unfounded reason.

2012 Leorai Rant

there’s so much discourse about whether 2012 leorai is considered incest or not and i kinda wanted to throw my two cents in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i grew up with the 2012 series, and as a kid, i was a hardcore leorai fan. now as an adult, i’ve become neutral to the ship (though it will always hold a special place in my heart for nostalgic purposes). overall my thoughts/perspective on leorai have changed a lot over the years. i’ve grown to ship them more with other people (‼️ aprinardo and shinirai supremacy ‼️) while still loving and appreciating their canon dynamic. personally, i don’t view their relationship as entirely platonic or romantic. on one hand, i believe leo and karai do love each other like family (the same way all the turtles love april and casey like family) but they also connect on a deeper level that’s too intimate to call them “siblings”. it’s not as black and white as them being either brother/sister or boyfriend/girlfriend. to me, their relationship has so many layers it’s too complex for labels. which is fine because labels are overrated anyway. but that’s just my opinion.

i completely get why some people (especially those with adopted family members) think the relationship is weird, and i also get why some people see no problem with it. at the end of the day, it all depends on an individual’s life experiences or personal preferences.

note: if two people are biologically blood relatives, then an intimate/sexual relationship between them is 100% incest and i do not support or condone such behavior.

in this particular case however, i believe there is a difference between real incest and what society views to be incest. imagine two people have been dating for a while and then their parents fall in love and decide to get married. are they supposed to just turn their feelings off for each other and break up because they are now “technically siblings”? i’m sorry to break it to you but that’s not how emotions work. emotions are complicated. and frankly it seems wrong to try to force two people to think/feel a certain way about each other just because it’s what society excepts. i have always been a firm believer that people should be free to follow their hearts and love who they love. if there is no blood or biological connection involved (or any other illegal factors), then i see no reason why people can’t be free to choose how they get to view a person or how they wish for those relationships to develop. because in this case, love is not a crime.

in a way, the same can be said for leo and karai. first impressions count for something, and leo had already developed feelings for karai long before he found out she was splinter’s daughter. i know most people would disagree, but just because they view the same man as a father figure does not make them obligated to view each other as siblings. just because mikey CHOOSES to view karai as a sister does not mean leo is obligated to view her the same way. same goes for raph and donnie. from what was shown in the series, those two (especially raph) hardly considered karai to be a part of their immediate family, much less considered her a sister. and that’s their right. as much as i’m sure we all wanted to see the turtles and karai come together (and trust me i did too), donnie and raph had valid reasons to dislike/distrust karai and they shouldn’t be forced to brush their justified feelings aside and immediately accept her as a “sister” if they don’t want to. they may view her as an ally/asset to the team, but if they don’t want to view her as family, then they shouldn’t have to (though i’m sure they would eventually accept her in the future; whether or not as a sister or just a distant family member, we’ll never know).

i even once saw someone say that if shipping leorai isn’t incest because they aren’t blood related, then it shouldn’t be considered incest when shipping the turtles with splinter since they also aren’t blood related. that’s a really gross comparison for multiple reasons but mainly;

1.) the turtles are all MINORS and splinter is a grown ass man which is reason enough because W T F

and

2.) splinter has always viewed the turtles as his children and the turtles have always viewed him as their father. for him to suddenly take any kind of sexual interest in them is downright predatory, blood or no blood.

as for the whole “whether or not they share dna” debate, that’s honestly up to interpretation. splinter was never actually seen touching the turtles, so it’s not a canon fact that they actually absorbed any of his human dna when they mutated. and even if they had, the notion that this automatically makes them biological relatives to splinter is actually quite comical. that’s like saying the radioactive spider that gave peter parker superpowers is suddenly his new father. sounds silly, doesn’t it?

overall, i hate it when careless leorai fans make insensitive statements about adopted families, and i also hate it when anti shippers treat leorai fans like freaks just for having a different perspective on their relationship. if you prefer to think of them as brother and sister, then that’s cool. we’re all entitled to our opinions. what’s not cool is constantly harassing fans of the ship and shoving your “sibling” agenda down their throats (and vice versa).

to borrow a paragraph from @orokukarai’s rant:

If the ship makes you uncomfortable, whether it's for personal reasons or you're just not vibing, that's OK. If you personally see it as incestual, that's valid. But going around saying Leorai shippers all like or support incest is not true and there are many valid readings where they're not incestual even if you disagree with them. Some shippers probably do like incest, but then so do many non-Leorai shippers.

in conclusion, respect other people’s opinions. if you stumble across content you don’t like, block or ignore it. no need to comment hate or fill up the ship hashtags with negativity (and that goes for ALL fandoms).

Duckburg’s Girls

They did a survey a loong while back and asked girls which female Duck character was their favourite. Probably no surprise but is was Magica. And it doesn’t take long to understand why.

First of all, there are arguably barely any girls in Duckburg for some reason compared to the male population? 😭 And most important, more then half of the girls were created just for the sole purpose of being a love interest. Daisy, Goldie, Brigitta etc. Of course there are exceptions, like grandma Duck, Dickie and Della. Yet the size of their role compared to their male counterparts is debatable.

Obviously by now things have slightly, depending on the writer, changed. Daisy goes on her own adventures besides going on dates with Donald and Brigitta sets up another business every week with her partner in crime. Still I believe the lack of whatever non-existant female protagonist (that’s not a love interest) is something to think about. At least the dt17 production team did, which resulted in Della finally making her major character debut after decades.

Also it doesn’t help that some (Italian) artist tries to push in his oc as Gladstone’s love interest. Ehem.

Anyway, it is no surprise young girls would rather look up to Magica when she’s a rare example of a major female character that’s not there mainly to be in love.

He points fingers at everyone else except himself. When things blow up in his face, he’s quick to either run or place blame elsewhere. It pisses me off tbh. Sorry, I know he’s your celebrity crush of the week or whatever but he needs to grow up too. In all my readings he thinks R is immature and too intense for him right now but he’s immature with dealing with his feelings. Like okay? You’re attracted to R so you deny it because you’re in a relationship? You should’ve kept it professional from the beginning to avoid this. But deciding to kiss her during rehearsal knowing you felt more is shitty. You weren’t thinking about BB when he had your tongue down R’s throat. You weren’t thinking of BB when you were in your bed with your dick in your hand while R and J had sex in her trailer—

He knows that people called her unprofessional during the hate campaign so he knew he was hurting her by saying that. All of this over a kiss? Also it usually represents an older man since kings tend to be older and more experienced. Something that she wants. A King is very charming and a great partner to have. It’s kind of a good thing he shut down things? Because he’s trying to be loyal to his gf despite his growing feelings for R.

Tarot 2.0: not surprising with this girl. She’s trying not to let T affect her or her relationship. She’s blaming herself for thinking too much about the kiss. Poor girl doesn’t realize that T made her feel bad on purpose. She feels guilty because she didn’t protect her feelings or J. She carries a huge burden from this and is very self critical over it. So she doesn’t blame T for his reaction, she thinks he reacted appropriately and she was being delusional. She’s very delusional but not about this. I wish I could tell her that but she’s a love struck idiot when it comes to J.

More importantly, R and T are magnetic. They can’t let each other go no matter what. R would rather have T in her life than not at all. She’s very possessive of him and holding on tightly. She’s been hurt before so while it stings, she still loves T dearly.

Tarot 2.0: oh he’s not as dumb as I thought! Still dumb, poor thing but not as dumb! He knows about R and T’s hidden feelings and it made him pull away slightly. I agree with him here actually. He’s not a therapist! Tarot 2.0: these two are hilarious! They dodged my question and their energy shifted immediately. Whatever secret it is, they really don’t want me to know. But I still pulled a love card here. How interesting is that??? Whatever the secret is, they’re happy about it! Distant but happy! It really connected them. Usually when I have blocks on secrets it’s because of childhood trauma (so the secret has been buried for so long!) or it’s a hidden secret or inside joke between the couple. It may be an unspoken secret between them. Perhaps they didn’t talk about it but they know about it? Does that make sense? Like a secret can be shared information or you can look at someone and know exactly what they're thinking without using words? I think that’s what’s happening here. Meeting someone and having a life changing kiss. Okay. Now I feel bad for really criticizing him earlier. He’s trying to be a good boyfriend to BB but that’s a type of kiss he wasn’t expecting. I sympathize with both of them god damn. Being in a relationship and a kiss changing everything is very painful. The guilt is eating them alive. I see why T hurt her feelings. It wasn’t the right thing to do but I understand why he was very harsh about it. He could have handled it better but they needed a reality check at that moment. And he’s sorta of right? They should be professional about this. The kiss wasn’t professional and they needed to remain focused. J was on set too. Disaster avoided and movie saved! No scandal. I see his vision now.

Okay I know this was a couple days ago, but you are logged a lot of horse things. Are they your favorite animal? (feel free to go on a long rant if you so please)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am vibrating!! Yes, horses are my best friends and favourite animals of all the ever and I love them so so much!! They're just like me fr!!! Tall kitty

Horses are the best and I've found that they're actually a lot like really tall cats!! They like to snuggle until the moment they don't, they like to cause problems on purpose, and they really like to feel like they have some control over their own situation. They are being ever so gracious in allowing you to do things that they have decided ahead of time are okay for you to do with slash to them. And, like, don't tell any horse I know that I said this, but they're kind of right. I'm (approximately) 120 lbs; any horse I ride is about ten times heavier than me, give or take. I'm not winning that tug-of-war unless the horse allows it. That physics will not track

I'm gonna start talking about anxiety here and it doesn't get really heavy anywhere but I'll put a read more button in anyway just in case 💕💕 (pictures and gushing about the horse I'm currently riding are also at the end though!)

Okay but so basically though, the way to succeed in an interaction with a horse is to assume they are scared and to let them know over and over again that you won't let scary things happen to them. Scary things include horrifying horse-eating squirrels, terrifying horse-gobbling pigeons, petrifying horse-devouring shadows, Large Noises that could have come from any of the aforementioned things, etc. I figure it's probably good strategy for prey animals to assume that basically anything can and will hurt them, but it also means that horses tend to be very spookable. I shit you not that I have ridden a gelding (boy with no balls) who spooked away from a jump because he saw his shadow right in front of the jump and thought it was dangerous

That said, obviously some breeds are going to spook more easily than others, and depending on training and background there are many many horses in the world who are very good at ignoring such terrifying things as "small children who make noise" and "leaf, blowing in the wind", and even "being the first in a line"

And as someone with a whole metric shit-ton of anxiety (now medicated, thankfully), the idea that I have to be the brave one who looks at things rationally and says "no, actually, nothing here eats horses" has always helped me a lot. If I can say that well yeah public speaking is kind of terrifying, but nothing here will eat me except socially, and I can recover from the social horrors. Probably.

Anyway the horse I'm riding now is named Gracie, just like my cat!! And for a very long time she was a brood mare, meaning she lived in the field and had babies and that was most of what she did for her life. She was trained when she was very young, but for some reason her owners decided not to put any more effort into training her, but now she belongs to my coach, so she gets to play with me! We think that whoever trained her taught her that being good meant going fast and that if she is being good that means she should be going fast? Anyway, in the last few months, she has relaxed admirably!! She enjoys the work, and she thinks that I am a Good People, and she usually stands still for me to groom her 💖💕💖🌻💕💖

She gets incredibly sweaty every time we ride together, even though I tell her often that we don't need to run so fast. It's less and less motivated by her own anxiety though, so I'm happy that she's happy 😊

Also, fun fact! Horses cannot vomit! Vomiting is my least favourite bodily function, whether I am doing it or someone else is, so I am extremely happy about that! Yeah yeah being unable to vomit means other health issues I don't care!

So, last night, as I was woken up by my husband's dumbass 3:55am alarm (?? WTF???) My mind inevitably wandered over to Outlander, and I just started thinking about Frank Randall.

The books are so... Wishy-washy about him. Or, I should say, Claire is. Because what we know of him is from her POV, at least for the most part. Could she be considered an unreliable narrator when it comes to Frank??

On one hand, she stays mostly neutral when telling us about her hands being burnt on the teapot and instead of being concerned about her, Frank is ashamed by her language and apologizes for her, admonishing her instead of acting concerned.

She's seemingly seriously anxious about Frank wanting to kiss her sometime after Bree is born. She seems to fear it, but knows it's coming. Then she spends a horrible day where nothing goes right and as Frank enters the house after work, he merely asks her to improve the way she looks. (Thankfully, she lugs a wine bottle at his head.)

Then he creates this headstone ... And we aren't sure for what purpose. Was it to acknowledge her marriage to Jamie in some odd way? Was it to make Claire believe he'd died at Culloden? Was it made simply to get under her skin?? I mean, some of those possibilities are more likely than others. But anyway...

What I'm saying is that from what I gain from the books (the show is entirely different where it concerns Frank) Frank's kind of an asshole, and he is more in love with the idea of a doting wife and 'perfect' family than he is with Claire - before or after she goes back in time. They go on a honeymoon... And he... Drags her around Scotland so he can go searching for his ancestors? What a giant snoozefest.

(I dunno. I'd be less than thrilled about that, myself.)

And all Claire usually says is, 'I loved him.' or 'He was a great father.'

Even in DOA she and Jamie are talking about masturbation and he asks how often she did it, and she only says, "well I did live without a husband for two years."

Claire.. from what I gathered, you and Frank slept in twin beds??? Were you intimate with him *that* often? I only ask because there are huge gaps in our knowledge except what sorts of vague comments Claire makes.

I dunno. Maybe I just wanted to rant about Frank because I'm a little pissed at my own husband at the moment, and this has taken my mind off it... Sort of.

Also I am sorry if this is an incoherent mess and I am well aware I may be getting things wrong 😬

I hate how parts of the fandom like to paint Bluestar as an unreliable narrator. And based on what? Sunstar saying he wouldn't have made Thistleclaw deputy anyway? Her actions post-betrayal? Something else? With Sunstar, I blame it as being a weird writing thing since Bluefur never even once reflects on it anyway (could've been interesting if she had), but even without that, I feel like criticizing her actions in BP to this harsh of an extent is completely ignoring literally everything that goes on in the story, including the fact that Goosefeather—for as much as I love him—never gave her a break once he revealed the prophecy to her, nor did Thistleclaw ever give her a reason to trust him. And don't even get me started on her Clanmates, who either expected her to get together with Thrushpelt just because he liked her, avoided her whenever she got upset for a long period of time, or just weren't close to her in general.

Really, it's no wonder she ended up with Oakheart.

And coming back to Thistleclaw, the fact that some people actually think he would've made a good leader when he didn't mellow out even at the time of his death as a warrior is just extremely naive at best. The fact that he was willing to have a kittypet kit nearly killed simply for not knowing better should say everything! And I actually really like Thistleclaw as a villain, especially in concept, but god do I hate his defenders!

I agree!

Bluestar is not an unreliable narrator. The closest she gets is expressing dislike of Thistleclaw but that doesn’t change the things he does. Disliking another character does not make one character an unreliable narrator. I think the closest example to unreliable narrator warrior cats has is Nightheart, because he repeatedly projects his insecurities and believes in his head that cats are avoiding him and not wanting to be near him when that may not be the case. Bluestar does not display the same kind of thing towards Thistleclaw except when she calls him arrogant a few times as apprentices which is potentially subjective.

The entire point of Thistleclaw’s character is to provide someone to rival Bluefur that realistically could become deputy but at the same time is also a horrible choice that would lead ThunderClan down a path of death and ruin. That is the entire reason his character was conceived, that is his core role in the narrative. There was never going to be a point in his character arc where he could have mellowed out and become a decent leader because that goes against his sole purpose in the narrative.

i’m at ep 32 and i feel quite frustrated for TTJ. this is probably going to be my most incoherent rant but here it is anyway:

- throughout his life up till meeting li susu as ye xiwu he has been labeled as essentially an abomination

- right out of his mother’s womb, he is a “murderer”

- when was revived after taking his caregiver’s blood, he is a devil baby

- his caregivers just saw him as a promise they made to their late queen, a duty they had to carry out, to just keep him alive. at the opportunity for a better life they would kill him

- when he was sent to the other kingdom, he was a hostage prince

- he was never seen as an individual or his own person deserving basic respect

- when he emulated xiao lin’s behaviour, he was still scorned and called a dog, people have already made up their minds about him regardless of his actions

- he ended up riding the currents of life wherever it took him and excepted any form of hardship as the life just is

- then li susu as ye xiwu comes into his life and looks at him. really looks at him for who he is. took an interest in what he is eating, if he is warm enough, if he was happy

- ye xiwu didn’t just keep him alive, she made sure that he was living well. the charms that she taught him had no other purpose to TTJ other than to bring joy

- even in the phase when they took turns capturing each other when TTJ was escaping to the jing kingdom, she was selfless in her attempts to save TTJ

- of course as the viewer we knew she did that to prevent the devil god from coming to life before the devil bone was extracted but from TTJ’s perspective, his wife genuinely wanted him to lead a good life

- when he became emperor, he was on cloud nine. he was being Good and that clearly made his wife happy, so then he was happy

- fast forward to her betrayal to go over to xiao lin, it was a grim reminder of his life as a hostage prince that it did not matter what he did, he was second class and clearly nature trumps nurture

- jumping all the way to the bone extraction, his entire world crumbles because all of a sudden he learns his experiences were a product of forces completely outside of his mortal life

- it’s not even twisted account of events like being labeled as murderer just because his mother passed from giving birth. it’s literally being charged for crimes he did not do. to TTJ that devil god is a totally different person! it’s not him!

- he loses the love of his life like that and when he survives the 500 years, he’s given a new name

- new name new chance at life correct? no.

- again he’s been reminded time and again that the devil god is inevitable. he is inevitable and he only exists to become the devil god.

- who the hell is tan tai jin or chang jiu min? clearly no one seems to care except for the fact he is a stepping stone for the resurrection of the devil god.

- who cares if he suffered all those years, choosing to do good and not succumb to the evil voice in his head

- who cares if he chose love and life over destruction

- because no matter what he chose at the crossroads of his life, the love of his life no longer sees him for who he is right now but obsess over who he was expected to turn into

at this point if i were TTJ, if everyone claims i’m the devil god well fuck it might as well turn into him. if 500 years of sacrifice can’t convince you then might as well turn into the person you think i would be and maybe then you’ll really look at me again

I’ve GOT to gripe, but like. Let me just say. Stiles and Lydia as bi/pan solidarity best friends is my EEEEVERYTHINGGG. There’s some moments between them that I SOOO love, except it’s only the platonic ones (n if you’re me, you’re reading intended-to-be-romantic scenes as platonic on purpose bc hey you’re allowed to care for someone’s safety and well-being in a FRIEND way OKAY). I need them 2 be bitchy best friends so much, that’s my lifeblood.

But romantic stydia…. SO truly bad. I hate the early 2000s-2010s trend of “guy being straight up creepy and obsessed is an endearing trait” thing they use to introduce it. Then stydia didn’t even exist after like, season 3a, but all of a sudden they NEED it to be the center of season 6a so they bring it back in a WHIRLWIND. Stiles saying “remember I love you” kills me bc like. Brother you have been dating Malia. You fully were not even interested in Lydia anymore I HHSGHSGGGj. They had to REAAALLY force that one convo in 5a (?) where Scott, Kira, Lydia and Stiles go to Eichen and Scott and Kira basically exposition at each other about how they’re soooo good together (what. why. where is this coming from. show me your proof Scott. SHOW ME YOUR PROOF!!)

Not to mention it undermines the other relationships so much bc hello? Out of Scott, Malia, and Lydia, Lydia is the LAST person that would be likely to bring Stiles back. They absolutely had the weakest connection out of everyone there. Also the panic-attack-stydia-kiss— NOOOOO nononono. BAD SO BAD. I FHJSHJFUckin digress.

I’ve said this before but I reaaaally really hate how Lydia’s arcs are often completely thrown out when love interests are introduced, and that still definitely happens with Stiles. Suddenly in 6a her entire character revolves around him and how much she loves him and needs him and Totally Has The Whole Time !! HHHHUH ?? Because MEANWHILE we’ve had a big arc about Lydia coming into her own and realizing her powers and that pretty much grinds to a halt once stydia starts trying to be canon.

Not to mention the fact that you get about 5 seconds of stydia being canon on-screen before it becomes irrelevant again, so whYYY did we do this in the first place ??? I’MMHDJGHJ

I may or may not make a more comprehensive version of this post at some point in the future, I’m not sure, cos this is just me off the cuff spouting my issues with it. Not as well articulated as I’d generally like. BUT. yea. I am a hater. my overall reaction to stydia is EUGH AUGH… ECK…. BAD……..

The Marvels

This movie had fun bits but was kind of forgettable and eh on the whole. However, it also featured one of the most blatant missed narrative opportunities I have ever seen, so here is a little rant about it.

So the film establishes early that Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) was devastated and in denial about losing Maria Rambeau, her best friend from her first movie, to cancer, and that she had neglected to come home to take care of Maria's daughter Monica Rambeau who got snapped in Infinity War and then traumatically returned five years later to find her mother dead.

Later, we establish that the reason she didn't return was largely because when she destroyed the AI that ran the Kree home planet Hala in (I think, I don't remember it super well) her own first movie, she inadvertently doomed the inhabitants of their planet to misery, and she had been stewing in guilt about how she ought to be fixing it somehow, without ever knowing how. The villain of the film is from Hala and ostensibly motivated by wanting to return it to its former glory by stealing other planets' atmosphere/water/sun.

To the extent that the movie has an emotional core or character arc, it's about Carol's guilt and loneliness and how Monica felt that Carol had failed her by not being there for her. When they're having their climactic fight with the villain at the end, Monica suggests that hey, Carol could totally just use her light-based power to revive Hala's sun. Carol says what, but I've never done anything like that, and Monica's like, well, I've done a lot of things I've never done before on this mission. Shortly afterwards, Monica sacrifices herself by going into a rift in spacetime in order to close it, and Carol is devastated when she realizes what she's doing, desperately flying after her and reaching out only for the rift in reality to close, leaving Carol floating in empty space, alone. Once again too late to be there for Monica.

Shortly afterwards we cut to Kamala Khan (who was also with them) coming home to Earth alone with tears in her eyes. She tells Nick Fury that they lost Monica, and that Carol went to fulfill a promise.

So now I think, ah. This is what this has all been about. This is the bit where we get the culmination of that emotional arc, right? Carol has once again lost everything and everyone, and she realizes she has this one way to finally atone for the mistake that has haunted her by trying to kickstart Hala's sun. Only, as we've established, she has never done anything like this. She would probably have no idea if she would make it out alive if she attempted this, but right now she's ready to attempt it anyway, because everyone's gone and Monica already died for this and she probably deserves it, right? We're going to have a climactic emotional scene for her, where she maybe has a final few seconds as she averts her eyes from the blinding light ahead to allow herself to grieve her friend and her daughter that she loved as her own. She's about to fly towards her final purpose believing she's probably not coming back, right? If she comes back it'll be after an intense scene of agonizing effort during which she'll need to find the resolve to move on despite everything, or else this is Carol's last movie, where we spend the film with her grappling with these inner demons and she perhaps manages to find some final peace in her last moments of sacrifice before we fade to white?

...No, what we get is a short CGI wide shot of her flying into a darkened sun, the sun brightening, and then her tiny form shoots back out at the top of it, just the same as before except maybe more glowy. Not a trace of emotion, effort or intensity in this scene whatsoever. Part of me is convinced surely they must have filmed it and then someone just decided to cut it because it didn't make her look cool enough, or something. Surely, surely, you wouldn't write the film with the active choice to make this moment so nothing.

Worse, with no emotional draw to the scene, it just leaves us with the hollow, aching sense of oh. So she could have just done that this whole time? All this guilt and all she had to do was just casually fly into the sun and out of it again which isn't even painful to her or anything? The only reason she hadn't done that already and saved these people untold suffering was that she just hadn't thought of it yet?

It wouldn't have been a great film even if it had pulled off that moment - the villain never quite landed, Kamala is fun and endearing but Carol is the only one of the three mains with any kind of arc going on and even in her case it's not super well developed. But I can so easily picture that scene as a genuinely strong and emotional moment that would have redeemed the film and made it worth it despite the rocky way it got there, and I'm very sad on behalf of everyone involved in it that somehow we got this nothingburger of a non-scene instead.

hhokay so to summarise, this is a tentative foray into @sparatus back yard to steal blorbos - specifically kidnapping desabrudas for the purpose of a not-quite-hatefuck for sinmas. Anyhow, this is set in my nebulous no-reapers verse where nothing bad ever happens except for the audience's amusement. Context: no-reapers crustyverse desolas retires when his daughter's born to become a gleefully self-indulgent stay-at-home dad, abrudas sticks it out for a few more years yet however. Anyways, without further ado, here's a snippet!

He just about managed to arrange his face to what he hoped was ignorant innocence before the doorway was filled by the broad shoulders and deeply unimpressed scowl of one Valis Abrudas. “Hey.” He chirped nonetheless, stretching out with a warm and affectionate rumble. Her eyes narrowed, mandibles dropping low to show teeth. “You.” It was said like an oath, one he met with continued innocence, blinking up at her as he let his subvocals waver towards cheeky questioning. From how she sucked in a deep breath, it was the wrong move. “Don’t you fuckin’ hey me, Desolas Arterius. Forget something, did we?” Had he? Feigning ignorance still, he took his time to act as if he had absolutely no idea what the hell she was on about. “Don’t think so?” He ticked the days events off on his fingers. “I did the laundry, washed the kitchen floor, dealt with the trash, cooked breakfast and dinner for kiddo. What more was there?” “What did we agree?” Her eyes bored into his, daring him to do exactly what he had planned - holding her gaze insolently just to see how far he could push her. “C’mon, it’s not difficult, what was the one thing we agreed on when you decided it was time to retire?” Ah, yeah. “Don’t remember.” He shrugged it off specifically for the grinding of teeth it earned him and reached forwards to grab the vid screen remote off the coffee table in front of him. “You know how bad my memory is, Val. Anyways, did’ya see the news? They’re going with that asari design for the council fleet flagship- the one that looks like a vertebrae? No great surprise I guess, it’s just so ugl-” His upcoming ramble-rant was cut short by the delightfully large hand that wrapped itself around his throat and made it very hard to find air to do more than end in a squeak. “Do you ever shut up?” She huffed, thumb catching under his jaw and pushing his head up so he was forced to make eye contact with her once more. And Desolas allowed himself a moment to appreciate just how fast and how silently she could move when she felt it necessary. A moment to really appreciate it even. The only thing he enjoyed more than watching her take overconfident little shits by surprise was being the overconfident little shit she took by surprise and wound up towering over. “Or d’you just like the sound of your own voice that much?” They both knew the answer to that one was a resounding yes; and, hey, if he’d been able to open his mouth to point out that she too liked the sound of his voice, he’d have done so. Pre-empting this though, her other hand had clamped over his mouth, keeping him from opening his jaws to remind her just how she loved it when he got going. Well, liked it usually.

Okaaay. MFS Season 3 Episode 9, let’s go. Play by play, yeah?

Warning: Major rambling ahead. I warned you.

So as I’ve predicted… there was trial, Wade returns and exposes Silver, and temporary happy ever after happens.

I’ll start off by saying that Raelle was the perfect person to deliver that speech. She relates to both sides perfectly and that speech? So empowering. I’d go to war for her if she asks, lol.

Also. Go Wade! That was surely a badass entrance, exactly how I envisioned it.

…

And then we’re back at Fort Salem.

Cute Raylla as expected.

They’re perfect, your honour. I want the braids back, please!!

…

It’s all good…

And… Gregorio appears.

And I swear… I have nothing against the actor (he’s cute and all, his character is average at best) BUT Tally seems to have chemistry with everyone, except him. Some people even shipped Gloria and Tally, for crying out loud. But Gregorio? There’s just no spark there.

I understand that they had no time for a fully fleshed out story, but they could have left it out, tbh. It won’t change the story. I mean, Gregorio was in prison—not off to the sides fighting or doing espionage work that added to the storyline. Nothing. Nada.

Again, I’m ranting too much here, but this is just so unfair for Tally.

First off, Abigail, the playgirl who only cared about rising to glory and living up to her family legacy—now a true leader, a soldier who now understands the responsibility of wearing a uniform. In romance, she’s a one-man girl, fully committed.

Then, we have Raelle, Cession girl who was a rebel and hated the army and what it stood for—now, she had a full change of heart. She does what she does now, because it’s what’s right, and not because of spite. From a lone wolf who tries not to show her feelings, now she’s found her unit and found love and romance in Scylla… Raelle found purpose to keep living and fighting.

Then to add, Scylla our necro baby… former Spree agent—now working alongside her former “enemy”. She saw the bigger picture and saw error in her previously misguided ways. Another lone wolf who now found family and friends. Again, she found Raelle, the home she’d been longing for.

And then we have Tally… Now, don’t get me wrong. She is definitely the most developed character. From a naive girl, she blossomed to a woman who stands her ground for what’s right. She literally saw the world for what it is and still fights for it.

She was from a matrifocal compound, a virgin—and now, it’s like she swapped personalities with young Abigail. I don’t shame her for it (get it Tally), but it’s just hard for me to see Tally just suddenly sucking faces with someone that I haven’t seen her interact with and actually build a relationship with. It’s just so out of the blue. They didn’t even have a scene where they’re conversing and talking about something deeper. It’s all physical, no emotion. I hate that for Tally. She deserves more than that. This is like discrete character assassination.

Anyway, moving on…

My happy pills, Raylla… at the lighthouse. They’re so happy. They deserve this and so much more, my babies!!

The pre-wedding scene with Raylla and Nicte is also adorable. Nicte is still a hardass trying to act like she doesn’t care, but she does. She cares for the unit like they’re her own. MamaNicte?

And the lobster comment. Hilarious.

Edwin and Raelle reunion, yes! I wished it was more emotional though. They haven’t seen each other, c’mon. I expected more.

But then… Anacostia and Alder. Omigod, now this made me cry. When Alder “died” the first time, it was Anacostia’s cries of grief that killed me… and now, their reunion scene is just, wow. That hug was everything.

Then, that Adil and Gregorio scene… they have more chemistry than Tally and Gregorio does. My brotp, for sure, lol.

Also that Khalida and Adil reunion…so cute. I wonder what Khalida told Adil. Hmmm.

And the unit huddle—with Scylla! I am such a simp for these moments.

Abigail and that scene with her grandmother is adorable, too. She deserves this.

Then…of course, Alder and Tally scene. Alder’s words are so ominous. Celebrate loved ones while they can? All might change soon?? Why so grim on a wedding day??

Anyway,, the wedding!

What can I say.. it definitely shows that they’re rushing. I hoped we could’ve heard the vows or even the I do’s, but the whole thing’s like a music video, lol. It kinda took away a bit of the emotion that I expected to feel. It’s still cute though.

Then Nicte… I can’t believe I’m seeing her look so rattled. Wade is a great negotiator, no-nonsense woman.

Edwin and Raelle moment—always sweet. They deserve the world after the rollercoaster of emotions they’ve been through regarding Willa.

Then, Abigail and Jem Bellweather… there’s definitely something to unfold there.

…

Then of course, after happiness comes bitterness. Silver got out, surprise surprise. And Hearst is still a freakin’ psycho.

Btw, necro teacher is a badass! She doesn’t get much credit and appreciation but I see you, Izadora. You fought well. The only consolation now is that you’ll finally be with the Mother.

And I’m worried for Penelope. I hope she’d learn that it was Hearst who poisoned her and then she’d go apeshit on him. Hang on.. if he’s like a “witch” because of the stolen vocal cords, does that mean he can be affected by the witch plague?? I hope it’s his own creation that ends up killing him. That’ll be so satisfying.

Meanwhile, our beloved unit are enjoying a campfire. And yes, mamaCostia… I definitely didn’t predict “this”.

And Raelle singing to Scylla (and everyone)… gosh, you can see Raelle/Taylor’s nerves as Scylla/Amalia stared at her singing… and when Scylla looks, she really gazes at Raelle… her feelings are palpable.

…

It’s all so happy… then it’s gone again, as predicted.

…

But Raelle! Why does she suddenly look possessed and why is she bleeding?? Did Hearst do something to the Mother? And who’s back??

…

I swear, if something happens to any of them, I will have more and more words for you, Eliot.

Gosh, I’m so anxious for what happens next. There’s still so many to wrap up.

This episode already felt so rushed, I hope the last episode is at least not as much. I feel like they could’ve made better cuts to showcase the story, add some more to other scenes and leave out other that’s unnecessary *ahem*Gregorio*ahem*.

But I still have faith in this show. I hope this season ends with a bang.

And I think that’s all I’ve got. Haha.
