Naked armadillo
"Anatomically speaking, it resembled the unhappy melding of an anteater (the face), a mule (the ears), and a tortoise (the carapace). I thought it overall an unlucky creature in the looks department, but Granddaddy once said that to apply a human definition of beauty to an animal that had managed to thrive for millions of years was both unscientific and foolish."
― Jacqueline Kelly, The Curious World of Calpurnia Tate

I'm finally done
The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock
There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated

Progress!
Major progress has been made with finally assembling the limbs together. Having some major issues with the spine though, it's obvious now that we didn't bend it into the right position at the beginning. We bent it to the best of our abilities and for right now it's still very wonky, you may notice the string holding the pose in place.
He's going to be a bit of a awkward fox but I think I did pretty well for a 1st attempt. His ribs and tail still need to be added.
I have to fly back to school tomorrow so I am depressed to say the project is going to be on pause for the time being.

Nvm, I figured it out myself and decided to share my newfound knowledge in the form of a badly drawn but easy to understand guide. So, enjoy
"Where do the ribs go?? An illustrated guide"
Shown are cat bones but it probably works for things with similar skeletal structures as well

Btw, if anyone has any interest in taxidermy, skeletal articulations, pelts, insects, and a variety of other things, check out my telegram channel! Im hoping to get this off the ground and start getting my own business going, so if you can reblog this and spread it around that would even be helpful.
