sorry but thinking about the “if you knew the characters maybe you wouldn’t get harassed” post again bc like it’s so funny because like. i absolutely know c!prime better than that person. and that’s not bragging it is very lame. i have a playlist made of all their vods that i watch when stressed and going to sleep sometimes because it’s comforting to me i don’t know this shit from analysis I’m just very autistic. i have predicted Multiple Plot Points months before they happened.

i am not saying this to brag again it’s incredibly fucking uncool this is the opposite of bragging but like if you’re going to argue that i don’t understand c!prime you’re just like. factually fucking incorrect there. saying I’m getting people trying to trigger my intrusive thoughts bc i “am writing the characters wrong” isn’t just flagrant and vile victim blaming that presents making a personal artistic choice as worthy of ableist harassment, it’s also just fucking wrong. i literally wrote the logstedshire chase before the logstedshire chase. i had c!Dream’s exact motive for years when even apologists yelled at me and said i was wrong.

like i am not holding onto an opinion of these two characters completely contrary to what apologists to EITHER say for like the lols? like don’t you think if i didn’t seriously analyse them I’d stick to that instead of coming up with my own theories and interpretations that later turned out to be true? like, I’m not saying I’m the only one, that’s stupid, and I’m not saying this makes me good at anything but being autistic, but like. what i have been doing with c!prime is the Exact Opposite of not knowing about them and just projecting on them. like if you’re gonna criticise how i write them actually make sense and don’t just throw shit at the wall.

As much as I’ve always admired the sheer creativity and kind attitude of the DSMP fandom, it’s nearly impossible to overlook the weird™ behaviour, regarding c!Primers in particular, and although it has been said countless times before me, I’d like to throw in my two cents. 

The uncomfortable and frankly gross phenomenon of Bowspam, coined by Poppytwt, which portrays a romantic and sexual relationship between c!Tommy and c!Dream, is the reason I made this post in the first place. Unfortunately, some content featuring c!Prime is rather predatory, which contradicts the original source and the whole point of their dynamic. For example, if you type “Discduo” in the Spotify search bar, you’ll most likely find multiple “Discduo / Bowspam” playlists instead, which is obviously very gross, and appears as if the latter was still normalised to some extent. As much as this tag is disturbing in general, the more details you learn about it, the more problematic it seems. 

Originally, Tadca was nothing but a collection of warnings, so that those who felt uncomfortable with abusive content, could simply block it, but Poppytwt claimed the tag, and that’s when things got actually weird™. It happened because some artists drew a couple of weird™ comics by pure accident, and it was used as a proof that all c!Prime enjoyers ship them. Andy never intended for Tadca to be twisted into something so heinous, and for this exact reason, he asked everyone to stop using the tag because of harassment, yet strangely enough, he was the one receiving harassment for something completely out of his control. Unfortunately, it wasn’t an exceptional case, as many other c!Prime enjoyers received death threats and harassment from c!Dream apologists, just for authentically depicting an abusive dynamic; pretending that c!Prime was paedophilic, and sending tons of harassment was easier than admitting that their fave wasn’t as good as they wanted to believe. Weirdly enough, Bowspam enjoyers never faced as much harassment as c!Primers, even though their content fully matched that definition. Plus, c!Trinity also received a good share of criticism because some people believed that it was a second wave of Tadca, except c!Punz got involved in it too. 

Furthermore, it’s important to note that the c!Prime dynamic offers real-life abuse victims a voice, and it’s utterly disrespectful to sexualise it, as it may discourage them from speaking out about their situation because of a fear of being misunderstood, due to constant victim blaming in the fandom, and a misconception that any kind of abuse outside of family, is sexual. Fiction does have an important impact on real life, and unfortunately, some people forget about that completely. We should also remember that while creating c!Prime content might help some people cope with trauma and is often inspired by their own experiences, some people still choose to be weird about it, which I find extremely disrespectful.

in summary, michael joined the dream smp after dream was put in prison. because of his timing, everyone was closed-off and weary, and gave him little to no answers about anything. after his house got threatened with arson, he decided to move out of the greater dsmp/l’manberg area and into his own bunker. he has since started a radio show, title unknown, broadcasting in hopes people will either hear him and give him answers, or join him in his solitude.

c!michael is, canonically, a conspiracy theorist, especially when it comes to the previous events of the smp. he likes to blow his beliefs out of proportion when talking to others for shits and giggles, having managed to once convince foolish that he believes in the flying spaghetti god. he has, however, also shown to believe in aliens, so how exaggerated he “makes” his beliefs out to be is somewhat unknown! while people make him out to be this c!dream simp/apologist, that is simply untrue. in one of his first streams, he attempted to break into the prison to free dream, and the two flirted jokingly back and forth during it. while the prison break-in attempt is still very much canon, the interactions between him and dream are not, and he knows little to nothing about the man in actuality, much less enough to simp over.

c!michael’s chat manifests in the form of cc!michael’s mascot, pictured below! her name is alesa, and she’s his emotes and notification noises. what she is, no one knows, but she’s toted around in a little baby bjorn thanks to a client-side mod :] dsmp!alesa doesn’t really have a personality due to her just being a backpack/chat, but alesa the mascot is full of it! she’s snarky, with a sharp tongue and wit to match, and can be seen often clowning on michael light-heartedly. she’s also a graffiti artist! (note: alesa is not a cc, she is a character, so differentiating her from her dsmp self by adding c! in front of her name does nothing. instead, the more proper differentiation is dsmp! or dream smp!)

Hello, I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m here for the c!Dream angst.
