Hey there, I hope you’re having a nice day. I’ve had this idea for a while, and I think you would do great with it. Just let me know if it is too much. I tend to ramble a lot when I think of an idea I really like. So this starts when Robin starts her search for clues on Sky Island in Jaya. While searching, she notices she’s being followed by a cloaked figure. She then leads her pursuer into an alleyway and uses her devil fruit to subdue them, but before she can knock them out, the person shouts "Oi Bin-Bin, calm down!" She freezes there was only one person who had called her that before she pulls back their hood in disbelief only to reveal (Male reader childhood friend) who was the only person to accept her on Ohara besides the scholars she’s shocked and nearing hysterics asks how they’re still alive he then explains how his parents had a bad feeling about the evacuation ship and had him wait in a small boat and to flee if anything happened to the ship he wanted to get her but his parents said it was to late and that she was most likely already on the evacuation ship after fleeing to a different island and grieving his parents and friend he heard about her in the fake news the government put out and while he wanted to go out and find her right away he knew he would probably make running away from the government harder with how weak he was so he spent 10 long years training himself up as a capable fighter and becoming a bounty hunter to hopefully get information on her whereabouts. He was searching for without any progress for a long while until by chance spotting her on Jaya he was tailing her just to confirm his suspicions but immediately knew when she used her devil fruit on him after the both of them calm down he asks her what she is doing on Jaya and after hearing her story happily offers his aid to her and the straw hats. Again I just have to say sorry for how long this is. It’s been bouncing around in my head for a while, and I do understand if you can’t do it since it’s very specific, long, and probably pushing the boundaries of a reader fic a bit. Just get back to me when you can, and thanks for your time. This is also my first time requesting something like this, so hopefully I didn't screw up too badly again thanks :)

The atmosphere in the bar was oddly comforting. There were only so few customers and not a pirate in sight which was odd due to the town they were in. The sound of smooth jazz music played from a small band of three stationed on a small stage in the corner of the bar. It was barely big enough to fit the three of them.
The bar was located just on the outskirts of Mock Town, a pirate’s play place! Yet there was only one pirate in the place. Rather than making a muck out of the place as most pirates tended to do in this town, she sat at the bar nursing a bruise on the side of a man’s face.
“I am once again deeply sorry. I thought you were someone else,” Robin apologized, holding a pack of ice wrapped in a towel to the man’s cheek.
“I should be the one apologizing for sneaking up on you like that,” The man had put forth an apology of his own, smiling through the stinging he could still feel from his cheek, “Didn’t expect to get smacked into next week though.” He laughed a bit. Seeing him still so happy, he was still the same as when they were kids.
The Strawhats had landed on the island of Jaya. Separating from the group, Robin had gone her own way in search of clues that could lead to more information about Sky Island.
However, from the moment she stepped off of the Going Merry, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she was being watched. But from what she could see, there was no one around. But the feeling never went away, rather it intensified as she traveled further in Mock Town.
This time, she had caught a glimpse of her pursuer, a cloaked figure who was obviously skilled in this but having the government pursuing her for years at this point, she was even more so.
Robin lead the cloaked figure down an alleyway. Upon seeing them out of the corner of her eye, she wasted no time crossing her arms. Stray hands had appeared out of nothing, holding the figure in place at the entrance of the alleyway before another hand appeared to smack the figure.
“Who are―”
“Oi Bin-Bin, calm down!”
The nickname made her freeze. She pulled back to the hood of the cloak onto the shoulders of her pursuer, revealing his face and stinging red cheek to her. The hardened look in her eyes was replaced by a look of disbelief.
“( y/n )?!”
“I mean, I think so.”
She uncrossed her arms, the limbs disappearing into flower petals, releasing the now-uncloaked figure, Robin’s childhood friend, ( y/n ).
Before the man got a chance to even explain himself, he was met with her sudden yet warm and loving embrace. He felt her wrap her arms so tightly around him, that she buried her face into his shoulder. She needed to feel that he was real, that he was truly there with her...that he wasn’t dead like she believed for all these years.
He was real. He was alive and well. He was truly there.
He returned her embrace, feeling just as she did. They were reunited at last.
( y/n ) lead Robin to the very bar they were currently in, letting her in on the secret of it being his temporary hideout while he was on Jaya. He told her of the deal he sprung up with the owner. In exchange for using the bar as a hideout, he’d catch any pirates giving him trouble.
“I’m a bounty hunter these days. I try to keep my cover under wraps to not scare any potential targets, you know?” He explained.
Robin removed the ice pack and placed it on the bar in front of them. It was almost as if he knew what she was thinking. He turned on his stool to face the bar. He raised a hand to grab the bartender’s attention for another drink.
The bartender passed down another glass of his usual, sliding it right into his hand. Though before he could take a drink, he stared at the drink for a bit and continued, “I have no plans of turning you over. That would be going against my entire goal of becoming a bounty hunter in the first place.”
“Your goal?” She repeated.
“I became a bounty hunter to find you, Robin,” He admitted.
“Why...why would you do that?”
“Because I didn’t want to be a burden to you. When I saw your wanted poster, I was filled with so much rage. And there wasn’t a damn thing I could do it because I was just some little kid. I wanted to find you, to...to be with you but I knew I’d just make it harder because I was so weak,” He admitted before taking a large gulp of his drink. He went on, “So I trained. I trained to be stronger so I wouldn’t be a burden to you. So I could hold my weight and not put you in any more danger. So I could protect you the best way I knew how.”
He took another large gulp of his drink. As the cold liquid went down, he realized just how cliché he sounded, “Wow, I practiced this speech for years for this very moment when I finally got to see you again. And they still come out weird, huh?”
Robin shook her head, “No, they’re not weird. They’re really sweet. All this time you were training and looking for me. And I thought...I thought you were...how are you still alive?”
She noticed his face drop for a brief moment, before he put on his usual grin again, “My parents were suspicious of the evacuation ship, rightfully so. My old man said it felt off. We made plans to evacuate ourselves, but I was the only one who made it out. I don’t know what happened to my parents, but I like to think they’re happy that I made it out alive.”
“( y/n )...I’m so sorry.”
“My pain doesn’t even begin to compare to yours. If anyone should be sorry, it should be me. I just I could have been there to―” She could feel just how heated he was thinking about everything she had gone through at the hands of the world government and the marines.
In only a matter of seconds he had gone from the joyous soul she remembered him being through their childhood to a seething mess ready to explode at anyone. It was a side of him she had never seen, imagining he had picked up such anger over the years after the tragedy that separated them both.
She placed her soft hand on top of his. The man’s face had completely softened at her touch. His anger seemed to melt away at her touch. Despite it all, she was here now, sitting next to him.
“You’re here now.” It was all she needed to say. It was what he dreamed of her saying for years. And to finally hear her say it, he couldn’t stop the tears welling in his eyes. Though he tried to play it off as best as he could, “It’s dusty as hell in here! Some just fell into my eyes!”
It was squeaky clean in here. Not a dust particle in sight. She knew he was crying, “No matter how old you get you’ll still pretend like you don’t cry, huh?”
“Sorry, Bin-Bin, but I don’t cry,” As he’s trying to wipe to tears from his eyes and trying to hold in a sniffle. She laughed, “They would love you.”
“They?”
“My crew. They’re a bit rowdy and disorganized, but they’re good people. You’d fit right in,” She mentioned, “We’re actually here trying to find a way to get up to Sky Island. But I have yet to find any leads.”
He tilted his head, “Sky Island? Doubt anybody in town would even seriously look you guys in the eye if you mentioned that. Maybe that Cricket guy who lives on the other side of the island could tell you something.”
“Do you know him?”
“Wouldn’t say I know the bastard, just have had the ‘pleasure’ to meeting him and his goons after they thought I was after their gold or something. Not a fun time, three on one is not at all a fair fight.”
Robin pondered on the idea for a moment, “Do you think you could show us the way. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you this time.”
“Are you asking me to join you and your friends?”
“If you want to, of course. I know you have a job to take care of around here,” She made note of, “Besides, we still have a lot of time to make up for, don’t we?”
He grinned. "We do. And I plan on making up for every second...ouch." He could feel his cheek stinging. She picked up the ice pack again, gently placing it on his cheek, "On it."

Just to minimize my chances of being genuinely misunderstood OR deliberately misinterpreted, and crucified for something I don't think, How Dare You Say We Piss on the Poor website etc...I'm gonna say this right up top. I absolutely understand why people don't like Thessaly as a character, if anyone does completely unironically stan her as some kind of feminist hero who Did Nothing Wrong uwu, I personally see it as a bit of a red flag. I don't like terfs real or fictional. In a vacuum, I could even completely sympathize and agree with the people who want her cut.
HOWEVER.
It's really something to me to see people clamoring for her to be cut, because she carries and expressed an ugly indefensible prejudice (transphobia) in words towards (1) person. Meanwhile Hob fucking Gadling enacted one of the most violent forms of antiblack racism I can even think of against thousands no, millions of people, the ripple effects of which still affect billions more today. Just a little light idk, profiting off the fucking slave trade and had to be told by someone else that it was bad...and he's a fan favorite.
People are saying Thessally being Dream's love interest reflects badly on him or is somehow endorsement by the narrative (?!?!?!?!?!? Didn't she (SPOILER ALERT AS IF IT MATTERS BY NOW) help participate in his extended assisted suicide? She's not painted as a great person to me just another character what are y'all SMOKING whatever fine. It's fine this is fine.) But shipping Dream with Mr. Former Slaver is not only not verboten or frowned on widely in the fandom but its THEE most popular pairing by far. So...why the difference?
Like where are the same fans who are saying Thessaly shouldn't just be more clearly shown to be wrong, she shouldn't even be in the show at all when it comes to Hobert's crimes??? Yes, transphobia is indefensible. Isn't racism?
And I hear the cries of "it's fiction!!!" Already rallying (if anyone who needs to hear this even sees it lol) to which I say:
HORSESHIT. I KNOW you don't, deep down, really agree because if you did, why get upset about Thessaly being included??? Why does what she said to one person matter if it's Just Fiction You Guyze. Fictional characters are allowed to do bad things and fiction isn't reality sweaty....except when you only apply that standard to fictional racists you like and simp for, but fictional transphobes you don't are SO HARMFUL they shouldn't even be portrayed in fiction.
Like. Give me a big fat BREAK. This looks like bullshit, no? I'm sorry, but I'd love for someone to try and give any other explanation besides one personally offended you or hit home for you, and the other doesn't.
And if that bothers you or you feel like it says something negative about you...idk what you want me to say??? You can't control how other people perceive you and that's how people outside this majority-of-the-fandom bubble see it. You don't need to respond, I just wish and genuinely hope this gives you a moment to think about why fans who ARE bothered by both (and not just paying lip service to being bothered by the one but railing against the other) are so frustrated with people saying everyone is welcome but in practice only bending over backwards for the comfort and emotions of themselves, and people they can easily relate to.
You don't have to like Thessaly (I don't. I find her an interesting antagonist, I don't stan her. And frankly that's not the point of her character) but you'll pardon me for feeling more than a bit cynical and side eying people's motivations for what seems a...pretty obvious double standard, on what fictional crimes related to real world issues matter to y'all, and which clearly don't. Either actually bring the same energy to the table for fictional people who committed atrocities, even if against a group you're not part of and thus don't feel the need to empathize with, or just carry on, but accept that you don't have the SLIGHTEST room to talk about cutting characters who do immoral things. And you also need to accept that you look like a hypocrite when you do.

tornado and rainbow for the emoji asks! for all of them if you’re up to it, just Maria and Arianwen if you’re not 💖
Hooray, thank you so much! 💗
(OC Emoji Asks)
🌪️ TORNADO - what is the biggest change you've ever made to them? how have they changed from their original version?
Ooooh this was really challenging because I had to go back and think about what the earliest versions of them were like. From what I can remember:
Wen likes Alistair a lot more than she used to. She was much meaner to him in my early drafts. Their bond developed slowly, but I am so glad it did--I think their friendship is really important to her character development (as is her friendship with Morrigan, tbh, though I don't think I've posted about it as much here). But initially her dislike of Alistair was deeply tied to the trauma of her wedding--and because she'd already killed everyone involved, he was an easy target for her anger. But I ultimately feel like...idk he is just such a sad puppy of a man in the beginning of the game that she couldn't help but feel some sense of kinship. And I mean---her dog likes him, how bad could he really be?
Maria was a lot less...Well! Maria was in the periphery of both Your Fate For Mine and Wander, and while I don't think she is a dramatically different character in either I do think her voice is a lot more distinctive now than it was initially. She's funny, but I think the humor is a lot more performative than it was initially (which is not to say that none of it is genuine--only that more of it is a front than I gave her credit for at first). (I would write her part in Your Fate dramatically different now, especially having written her "in case I die" letters, but that is a totally different question).
Emma has stayed mostly the same, but I think I let her be funnier in Wander than I do when I write her now. But then she has been through some shit since then, so--maybe it's just natural character development. I've leaned into the researcher/scientist bit though, I think.
Salshira: The original concept for Salshira was "someone who would despise the idea of having a soulmate," and I think--given that most of what I write for her is after all that---she is a lot more mellow now than she used to be. Feels like she has to put up less of a front for sure.
Elowen: Well! I am sure she's changed the most, but I would have to write her fic again to know how and it is so long. I think she is sadder and wetter than she used to be, but she also sacrificed herself in the Fade because she felt guilty about the death of the Divine. So. Maybe she hasn't changed all that much after all.
🌈 RAINBOW - what advice would they give to their younger self?
Wen: You cannot bend your head so low that anyone will forget it still belongs to you. Never, ever stop fighting. None of them deserve your compliance.
Maria: Love the world around you as intensely as you can. You never know what you will miss once it's gone.
Elowen: Tell them you will not, under any circumstances, be the First. You are too young to carry the clan on your shoulders. Be a child while you can still be a child.
Salshira: You deserve to live just as you are now. There is nothing wrong with you. Nothing.
Emmaera: Don't let Papae go into the ruins alone. Under no circumstances can he touch the mirror.
