Yaku always has to remind Asahi to keep his head up, not to be so self conscious. Asahi has to remind Yaku to calm down a bit and stop kicking people Morisuke please

Asahi is kind of like a personal stress reducer for Yaku. His presence off the court is very calming in general once you get past the ‘unapproachable’ exterior, and always has good advice for dealing with rowdy kouhai.

Asahi melts every time Yaku plays with his hair.

Nishinoya is their biggest shipper. He automatically approved of Yaku, as a fellow libero, though he was quick to warn Yaku that he would not hesitate to rip him a new one, should he even try to break their Asahi’s ‘glass heart’(Asahi argued that he could take care of himself, face bright red). Yaku took this completely seriously.

A lot of people(read: Kuroo, Daichi and Suga) find their height difference absolutely hilarious, since it’s a case of ‘gentle giant and angry midget’, as Kuroo so eloquently put it.
