Well....
I've had a really hard time finishing any kdrama recently and I have no idea why. I'm done with uni for a while, this should be the time when I catch up on everything, but I just don't feel like it.
Unfortunately, I have yet to finish Unlock My Boss, I have also started watching Brain Cooperation (Brain Works) and Island. I haven't gotten past episode 4 on both. I've also yet to finish the show Namjoon was on. Also stuck on episode 4.
LOOK, I will do it at some point. However, I found it interesting that I got stuck on episode 4 on three out of the four shows I was watching.
Interesting fact: A lot of Asian countries consider the number 4 to be bad luck. China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam are all very superstitious, but the reason why they consider the number 4 to be bad luck, is because it has an alternate meaning of "death/die/dead". Or could have that meaning in specific cases. (I'm no language expert, but if anyone could explain in more detail, please.)
Often in those countries, in elevators the button for the 4th floor is recplaced by an "F", or is just missing in general.
Anyways, I thought this could be interesting for someone. Idk who.
I'll finish those shows.

Floods were estimated to be the costliest disaster from Asian countries including China and India. China lost $18.4 billion due to floods, followed by India ($3.2 billion) and Thailand ($0.6 billion). India lost $4.4 billion due to storms, followed by China $3 billion and Japan $2 billion. In 2021, over 80 per cent of the extreme events were floods and storms. Floods in India, China and Afghanistan caused the greatest number of fatalities, highlighting the high level of vulnerability of Asia, especially to floods. In India, during the monsoon season, the heavy rain and flash floods resulted in about 1,300 human deaths, the report cited.

BEATING MOSQUITOES
BiograView was contacted by QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute with a media release of this Pacific alliance to combat mosquito-borne diseases.
With all the hype around Covid-19 it is easy to forget other diseases still prevalent in the world.
It is great to see so many international organisations working together to combat the still-present, mosquito-borne diseases.
Twelve international…

Two Asian countries that should be on your bucket list
Traveling to Asia is something that everyone should do. Asia has lots to offer, from cheap fantastic cuisines that are different in each of the Asian countries, to intriguing cultures and friendly people. Millions of people from all over the world visit Asia and backpackers prefer Asia for the cheap costs of living in most Asian countries. Are you curious about which two Asian countries you…

Most Asian countries prioritised adaptation in climate action plans but there is a need to do more to achieve early warnings for all, the authors of the report wrote. Strengthening the early warning systems can play a pivotal role in taking anticipatory action, enhancing preparedness and reducing the impact of these hazards, it said. Data on loss and damage is required more than ever as funding for loss & damage has made it to COP27 agenda for the first time ever in the history of UN climate negotiations. A realistic estimate can still be made about the number of days the country recorded extreme weather events.

I'm sorry, this was bothering me enough to send in an ask.
The stupid question is: how strict is Earth-Kingdom-is-China vs Fire-Kingdom-is-Japan generally? I mostly ask because although none of the canon characters use real Japanese names, but it feels like everyone uses Japanese names for Fire Kingdom and Chinese for Earth, which makes Chinese Wanyi for Zuko's ship not fit in.
I mean, the waters are muddied from China's historical domination over the area, and it's a really great pun, but I woke up and my brain wouldn't let go of the entirely petty issue.
Ugh. Sorry for the stupid ask, especially since I don't come bearing any like funny trivia with to mitigate with. Please feel free to disregard as well, especially since I'm too cowardly to link to my actual tumblr account.
There's absolutely no strictness, because that's a fanon division anyway, and not one I adhere to. Fanon is fake and we can make of it what we want, and I want the pretty ship name!
