I don't know why but it was stuck in my head all day When f!Leo is back, he's about to kill someone, die, later little Leo is suspicious about him, they hate each other (no, they don't, they are just stupid asses)

But god for some reason the way f!Mikey gets back, he just BLOWS everything, he's a walking bomb, that actually makes sense, he's an atom bomb due to the circumstances of his way of getting to the past and the city is lucky they weren't destroyed F!Leo can hold him expression better then Michelangelo does, and Michelangelo doesn't notice how his expression always changes, he just cries and knows that he will Little Leo is suspicious about him (as he should), but the moment he understands that he's the same Mikey, he melts. It tooks weeks for Leos, it took a day for Michelangelo (little (old) brother privileges huh) The way he just, almost blows the WHOLE island, that's exactly was stuck in my head about future Mikey The fact that he was a general, put demoted himself, he was the one discovering the way magic works with science and taught Donnie about it, just all these little mentions and details for some reason made me a bit alive today

One thing I haven’t seen talked about in Nimona is how young Ballister and Ambrosius are! Like we can debate their ages and all, but what I’d rather focused on is how they’ve only just got out of training by the time all those horrible things happen in the movie. They’re not the well-seasoned fighters they are in the novel. We’ve got Ambrosius getting distracted by autographs, and that asshole knight (whatever his name is) being himself, and Ballister clearly out of his depth while trying help Nimona and her arrow (dude. that is not what you should be doing with an arrow in someone’s leg). These knights are still learning, and it really makes the movie quite different than the novel. It’s refreshing, in a way, and arguably more impactful as these men struggle to learn not only what the Institution is but also how to just get through life and their jobs

#like the other thing I really wanna know is the world building behind the movie #who trains the knights? #do their parents train them? #does their family like take them on patrols and stuff #how much hands on work do they get before they’re officially knights #how often are they sent into the field #I WANT DETAILS #nimona #I’m gonna have to make another post about how interesting it is we have this dynamic in the movie #because the other interesting thing is in the novel #Ambrosius and ballister spend YEARS apart after ballister loses his arm #(presumably years) #but the entire movie takes place over the course of (maybe) a few months #mayyyybe if you stretch it could be a year #but I doubt it #and this really changes their entire dynamic #ballister blackheart #ambrosius goldenloin #OH #I also wanna know how much of their thought process is #‘remember my training’ #I want the details about them being brainwashed
