ime never associated theirself with any infrastructures seeing as their ability to have so much control over individuals propped the people of tokyo up to be puppets

they knew of the white-clad and evangelist, keeping their abilities hidden. one slip-up and they would have to fight that entire factor and more

however the rapid and random appearances of infernals tested them each and every day

on a particular day while on a leisure walk, ime heard the recognizable wails of a human turning into an infernal in an alleyway, eyes flitting to the direction it came from

not even a second later, an individual behind them burst in flames as well, falling to the ground in agony as the flesh burned off

it was hell on earth—the fire, screams, souls no longer tied to an earthly vessel

ime didn’t associate with the fire force, holy sol temple, or haijima. but they did associate theirself with the people affected by the appearance and action of infernals

the accumulation of infernals in the area put ime into gear, their dark brown irises disappearing to only show the white of their eyes glowing

an infernal clamped onto ime, arms wrapping around their body.

the creature was turned to dust from the single touch

a white flame flickered inside ime’s body, growing to an unimaginable temperature

checking their surroundings, they saw most of the people had left the premises

company five made their arrival a couple seconds after the infernal was put down

the focal point of the fires were located near ime, making the vehicles turn down the street where they stood

a beam of a white flame emitted from ime’s mouth, mowing down a good portion of the internals coming their way

“and who is that?” hibana inquired, their interest piqued immediately

the lack of fireproof gear and proximity to the creatures either proved an unpowered civilian’s stupidity or posed the immense power of a pyrokinetic teetering the line between idiocy and bravery

either way, hibana wanted them cleared from the grounds immediately

“not sure captain. i’ve never seen them before,” tokuyama replied, bringing the vehicle to a halt. “what should we do?”

hibana was unresponsive, petal pupils enlarging. fascination etched itself into their features

ime finished off the rest of the infernals on the block using hand to hand combat. their hits never connected due to the overwhelming heat of their body dissipating the infernals’ vessels instantly

“captain hibana?” tokuyama repeated, concern growing. “we should act now. more infernals were reported across the town.”

blinking theirself from the trance, hibana spoke, “take the squad down the parallel streets and take out any infernals you see. make sure the civilians are evacuating correctly. don't let them get in a frenzy and make things worse.” they opened the passenger door and stepped out, heels clacking against the ground.

“captain, what about you? i know you love your research but approaching pyros you know nothing about is very different from capturing an infernal”

“lieutenant, i believe i gave you orders.” hibana shot a glare at the man. “do you need to be disciplined in the middle of an emergency?”

tokuyama diverted his gaze. “...no. sorry captain. we will secure the streets immediately.” face reddening, the soldier pulled off, leading the rest of the squad to the other roads

hibana continued their strut towards ime, confidence wafting from them with every step

sensing the approaching human energy source, ime dampened their own inner flame, reducing the heat they were emitting.

one look at the fire force garment worn and irritation swelled up

they walked past hibana without a word, searching for any more infernals wandering the area

the captain fell flush with embarrassment then quickly gathered theirself reaching out their fan and tapping ime’s shoulder

“excuse me. any particular reason you aren’t in uniform? which company do you belong to?” hibana probed, eyes shamelessly scanning the broad full-figured individual

ime turned around, making hibana’s confidence resurface for a moment before the captain set their eyes on the individual

piercings were centered in the middle of their shaven brows as well as a single stud in the center of their bottom lip. the bridge of their nose was adorned with a jewel too

a hardened expression contorted ime’s face, a small scowl and dark eyes directed at hibana

yeah….the words hibana were going to say got swept the hell away

there was this aura that flowed from ime and caressed hibana’s entire psyche and gently brought them to their knees—mentally—with no hesitation

okay bc hibana x tsundere dom byeeeeee these niggas would be too much

“i wouldn’t let myself belong to a company, that unhinged cult, or those engineering shitheads at haijiima even if my fucken life depended on it,” was ime’s response, voice modulated and low

hibana was stuck between finding the reply arousing and disrespectful, the two emotions tussling wildly as they stared at ime, trying their best to sustain their supreme demeanor

“well then…well then you-” hibana’s mind struggled to form a sentence under ime’s unwavering glare. “get out of the area. our squad can handle it. you’re just a civilian and you need to evacuate,” they demanded, proud their voice stood its ground

but that shit did not matter

ime’s browbone rose, piercing glinting

“fuck that.”

ime’s eyes flickered to white and they began hovering off the ground.

hibana blinked once and ime was taking off into the sky descending into the road nearby, ready to aid the civilians

a very disoriented hibana stood, skin hot with embarrassment and the prominent arousal churning in their abdomen

“that…motherfucker”

“for the last time old lady, your sweets have too much damn sugar. you tryna kill me or what?” benimaru stopped walking, irked

the lady gave them a wide smile, wrinkles protruding, persistent in her attempt to offer the youngin some delicacies

a staring match ensued as always

the breeze grazed benimaru’s black tresses before they sighed, grumbling thanks as they took a hold of the basket

“have a good day benimaru-chan!” the elderly woman yelled after them

benimaru smacked their lips looking at the basket. “at least she made a bit less this time. maybe a new recipe too? hell if i know…i’ll let the twins get to it before-”

their nose twitched, a scent making their steps falter, eyes flitting to their right

the individual caught benimaru’s attention, gaze’s meeting each other’s

kayode’s fully black eyes crinkled as they gave a smile, gesturing to the pastries at their stand

“would you like to try a cup of degue? i will let you have the first cup for free,” their silvery voice spoke, black henna decorating their exposed dark brown skin

benimaru diverted their gaze, an unfamiliar thump in their chest kickstarting their heart into turmoil

they nearly ran off into the direction of their home, not giving a response

benimaru wondered why they weren’t alerted of the new resident’s presence considering their position as the town’s representatives

also yes, a part of beni needed to know who that was soon and konro would most definitely have that knowledge if not anyone else

stepping into the household, hika and hina hopped into view, ready to pounce on the snacks

“these goodies better be up to par or the grim reaper’s not letting her slip through their hands again!”

beni furrowed their brows as they set the basket down. “seriously, who the fuck teaches you to talk like this. shit.”

catching a glimpse of konro, beni left the twins to food while they called out to him

konro turned, a soft smile on his face. “back from your walk? how many times were you stopped this time?”

“do you know the new vendor?” benimaru interjected needing to get straight to the point. too forward, they thought. “why don’t i-we know about them?”

konro smiled, heading towards the entryway of the building. “you’re right. we don’t know much about them. and as protectors of the town we should find out more right?”

“why are you talking like that?”

konro shrugged. “dunno what you’re going on about.” he cleared his throat, side by side with his friend as they moseyed down the sidewalk. “so this vendor. did you taste the food?”

benimaru narrowed their eyes. “no. are you drunk or something? why are you acting like that?”

konro waved a hand dismissively. “just that you usually don’t ask about new vendors. you get told about them. ya know they don’t interest you much. but...i guess things can change with you.”

beni narrowed their eyes at konro, caught in his inquisition. they went silent until they came across the familiar vendor stand

kayode handed a customer a cup, laughing at something that was said

“i’m guessing this is it.”

beni blinked. “what? you-” their jaw clenched. “it’s just our job to know who resides in our town.”

“oh yeah, definitely.” konro crossed his arms, cocking his head slightly. “so, why don’t you go ahead and get that job done. i hear the twins fighting again.“

breaking off their stare at the new vendor for the third time, benimaru readied a rebuttal.

but the older nigga had skedaddled, figure running off into the distance before beni could speak

“fucker,” they muttered, fists clenching

kayode had turned around, fixing up some more cups of the different beverages and desserts

“that offer is still up if you want” back facing benimaru, kayode declared before pouring a thick substance into a small mug

“who are you? when did you move here?” smooth benimaru, interrogating instead of accepting a kind offer. nice start.

kayode set the cup down, turning around. they set their black eyes on benimaru, features mellow

their garments differed from that of tokyo, traditional west african garments adorned their wide frame, black and gold designs printed onto the clothing

“have you ever heard of the divine flame shinmon benimaru?”

the captain grew rigid, their name spoken with a tone that made their chest tighten.

they found theirself walking closer to kayode. “i…i haven’t.”

“it predates the very sun we live under and countless others.” they stepped out from behind the merchandise, grabbing a cup of degue, hands supporting the cup from beneath and the side. “my ancestors were born from that flame and have passed down that essence for billions of years”

speechless, beni fell into kayode’s black gaze, feeling a scorching heat envelope them in comfort

benimaru dipped into another consciousness for a moment, a darkness surrounding them, their pyrokinetics stifled

“how did it taste?” kayode pulled benimaru from their domain, a warm smile stretching across their face

beni looked down at the empty cup, the remnants of the sweet liquid on their tongue making their body tingle. then they raised their gaze to kayode, a blush creeping across their skin when they felt the desire to be entrapped in that heat again

“um…it’s…” mind blank, beni felt their face rush with more blood and only handed back the cup. “thank you.” shit, just talk, at least say something else

kayode murmured, “have a good day, shinmon benimaru”

Good Memories

Benimaru Shinmon x Chubby!Goth!GN!Reader

Summary - Watching Shinra and Arthur training with my boyfriend, Benimaru, brought back distant memories from when we were in our training days. What sweet memories they were.

Type - Fluff!!

The two young boys from company eight have been visiting more and more for training from Benimaru. It was fun to watch them fight and learn better ways to use their powers. It reminded me of when Beni and I used to train. Of course we still did, but this was a different type of training. Shinra and Arthur were still learning everything that their abilities could do, still trying new things to see what works best for them.

It was very different when we were that young. The higher ups would always criticize me for the way I dressed and looked, saying that I shouldn’t be in this field of work. Beni would look over his shoulder at me to see my reactions. He wanted to comfort me but really didn’t know how. He wanted to make all the horrid words stop but just couldn’t, not right now at least. Not while he still couldn’t fend for himself. Though, all I would ever give is a harsh glare and the promise that they would eat their words. I’m pretty sure that attitude was why he fell for me in the first place.

“(Y/n)!” I heard my lover call out, pulling me from my memories. I blinked a few times, fully coming back to reality, before looking towards him. “Why don’t you come help out?”

“Sir, is that really okay?” Shinra mumbled, an unsure look covering his face.

“A knight would never lay a finger on a (prince(ss)/royalty)!” Arthur exclaimed. “Even if they look like a vampire!” Benimaru glared at the two boys as I walked closer.

“What do you need help with?” His arm wrapped snuggly around my waist, squeezing my hip the way he always did. It was the only PDA he ever did and it was mostly for him. That action told me he needed a break from people, that he needed a second alone—or, preferably, a second with me alone.

“Show them why you’re ranked so high in this company.” I couldn’t help the smile that came to my lips as he began to walk away.

“Can do, darling!” Once we were alone, it was quiet. “Well, are you guys going to attack?”

“I…I don’t wanna hurt you.” Shinra spoke, making my head tilt.

“And what’s that supposed to mean?”

“I-I mean- It’s just- You’re-“ He couldn’t get a single word out.

“You don’t look like a fighter!” Arthur finally spoke.

“I assure you, I am. Now, treat me the same as Beni.” It took few more seconds of worry before Arthur charged forwards. I waited for him to get close before activating my fire. Being the same generation as my boyfriend really was helpful. Without even moving so much as a finger, the blonde was sent flying away from me, crashing into a wall. His head popped up from the rubble with a confused expression.

Next was Shinra. He tried to come at me from above. I waited till he was above me to do what I was going to do. As he came closer, I changed the air pressure. This made it denser around me, effectively making it much harder for him to actually get towards me. He struggled in his spot before putting his flames out. That send him flying right next to his team mate.

“What?!” They looked over towards me as I smiled. My feet lifted off the ground as I laid back, using my fire to make me float in my place.

“So you are a vampire!” Arthur accused, making me burst out into laughter. With the wave of my hand, I had them floating too.

“All this talk about not wanting to hurt me and you can’t even touch me? Isn’t that pathetic?”

“How…How are you doing this?” Shinra asked as I dropped them in front of me.

“Heat flow. By using my fire to heat up or cool down certain places, I can basically levitate things.”

“That’s so cool!” The shark toothed boy exclaimed with stars in his eyes.

“Now, do you guys still think I’m too weak? Or will you actually treat me like an enemy?” They both gave the correct answer and began attacking again. For a few hours we continued like this. The sun had set by now and they looked exhausted. Benimaru came back out to see me floating in place as the two boys struggled to even move their arms.

“I see you did a good job.” The compliment made my cheeks turn red as a smile came to my lips.

“Of course. You did trust me to give them a good lesson.”

“You two,” Beni spoke towards the kids, “go inside and get food. Konro made diner for you.” They struggled to drag themselves past the cloth door. Once they were gone, Beni turned to me. This time with a gentle smile on his face. “Now, for us.”

“Do I not get diner? I worked my ass off doing your job!”

“No, you do. But first we’re going to the bath house.” He moved closer to me before wrapping his arm around my waist once more. I didn’t notice it till he got closer, but he was carrying a bag that was probably full of clothes and bath things.

“Oh wow, aren’t you just the romantic?” He didn’t respond as we began to walk. I didn’t mind. Benimaru was never a man of words, he was a man of actions. The action of bringing us to the bath house showed that he was thinking about me. The way he washed my hair and body showed how he cared. His gentle hands were always so warm and calm against my skin, making sure to touch every inch of me. He even remembered to grab makeup wipes.

As he dragged the wipe across my face, his other hand would hold my chin. My eyes would stay closed as he just stared at my features, taking in every one. He loves how I do my makeup, loves watching as I carefully put it on every morning—but he also loves when he could see me like this. So completely me, something that no one other then him could see. Once we both were clean, he pulled me into his lap and leaned back to relax.

Though, these actions weren’t the only ones he took to show he loves me. When people whispered, saying we shouldn’t be dating because of the way I looked, he would make sure they didn’t ever repeat those words. People who aren’t from Asakusa tend to look down on our relationship. It was something I had gotten used to back when we first became friends, though he refused to do the same. No, he needed everyone to know that I wasn’t someone who was to be messed with or spoken about like that. To Benimaru, my appearance didn’t matter because that wasn’t what he fell in love with. He fell in love with my soul, it was only an added bonus that he also loves the way I look. The gothic clothes were unique for Asakusa, making me stand out in the best way possible and he loves that my hips were the perfect place to rest his hands. Everything on me just fit so perfectly against him or in the palm of his warm hands.

“Seeing Shinra and Arthur training like that reminded me of when we were that young.” I spoke calmly, head resting on his shoulder.

“We aren’t that old, darling.” He chuckled out.

“I know, but it was a while ago that we were in their position.”

“Thank fuck we aren’t there anymore. I hated some of those higher ups.” He pulled me a little closer, eyes not really focusing on anything in particular.

“Good thing they aren’t here anymore.”

“If they were, then I’d kill them for everything they said to you.”

“I know you would, and I love you for that. But I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job of proving them wrong.”

“Of course you have. Look at you.” He didn’t know how to say what he wanted to but that was okay because I knew what he meant.

“Did you bring my comfy clothes?” I asked, lifting my head up and bringing my hands from the water.

“Why?”

“My skin is getting all gross. We’ve been soaking for too long.” With a sigh, he wrapped his arms around my back and under my legs before standing up.

“Yes, I brought your comfy clothes.” Once out of the water, he set me down. “Go get changed, I’ll wait for you at the front.”

“Okay!” Leaning up, I placed a gentle kiss to his lips. That same small smile he always had covered his face as I pulled away. He gently slapped my ass as I walked towards the changing room, making me stick my tongue out at him before shutting the door. My heart fluttered in my chest once he couldn’t see me.

Benimaru has always made me feel special, ever since day one, and I doubt that would ever change.

Also! I actively chose not to make this a piece where Reader is insecure about their body because I don't think there is anything wrong with being chubby! I see it all the time where when a Chubby!Reader is requested, the story is centered around insecurity and poor body image which I'm not a huge fan of. As a person who doesn't see other people as just their body and instead their personality and morals, I believe that everyone should love their body and who they are! Idk, I just really hope that who ever requested this enjoyed it!!!

the streets of asakusa grew dimmer as the sun dipped further into the horizon— allowing dozens of shimmering lanterns to glow throughout the already darkened facility. a party brewed within the seventh tonight; featuring traditional food, ridiculous games, dancing, and other types of entertainment. soon becoming hushed with whispers as smooth melodies played from sound instrumentals. even the savory aromas of ikayaki, baked squid, wafted through the evening air prompting more members to gather and engage in the delicacy of liquor. when the clock hit twelve, everyone had already been wasted.

crescent-shaped ice began to melt inside the mini-glass of sparkling water. with a deafening sigh, you leaned sat upon the countertop and watched as the night began to wither away. a small smile rose upon your plush cheeks as the captain stood between those thick thighs and poured yet another two shots of sake. grinning like a psycho, he served the drink and both of you downed them like alcoholics. humming lightly, the words finally come out, “waka— stop, before we get too drunk.”

“it’s a little too late for that,” he responds in a low tone. acting purely on unspoken emotions, he leans forth and pecks the cushions of your cheeks. they gaze against the skin before pressing against the collar bone. his finger moves the fabric of your blouse aside to kiss your shoulder. any conversation had been lost in physical translation the moment you relished in his touch. this happens nearly every time a celebration comes around. the both of you become overly clingy of each other. completely disregarding the others.

which is hilarious to think about considering the king of destruction hardly has time to waste in a committed relationship. ironically, however— he couldn’t deny the obvious attraction held for the healer hired several months ago. never thought that quote, first impressions are everything, would matter in life but it did with winning the captain over. he remembered the day vibrantly; with him entering the hospital ward, heavily injured and exhausted, wanting to be at peace. and here enters the prettiest nurse he’s ever set his gleaming orbs on. a young woman, with gleaming skin, nubile hair, pretty lips, and pretty eyes. enamored by your stunning mien, he’d watch as you move with grace to mend his wounds. honestly, he’d be strung by your beauty and body type— plump from head to toe, plush cheeks, arms, stomach. everything. took quite a while for him to act on it though. since he has been very subtle and earnest with the presentation.

anyway— back to the story at hand. shinmon benimaru couldn’t hold water. intoxicated after only a few drinks. passionately planting kisses upon your glossed lips of yours. those lips, sweet boy— those lips work wonders against your own. moving with a passion. his large hands run down the sides of your stomach, unintentionally squeezing the pudge. molding his fingers into it. pulling away, you lightly run your own hands through his onyx locks. pulling gently, which induced a husky grunt.

“don’t tease me [y/n],” he scolds breathlessly, eyeing the male sternly. the intensity of his gaze made you melt into that of a puddle, igniting a flustered reaction by having a hunger-like expression flash across his face. “it won’t end well for you.”

admiring his honesty, you smile softly before seductively baiting him, “good— i don’t want it to.”

“what a seductress you are,” he mutters in response. and at some point, you found yourself traveling down the curves that make his face, stopping at the base of his plump lips, and when he made the move to pull away, you grasp onto the chest of his robes. there he pauses, body coming closer unintentionally before he is leaning into places sloppy kisses upon your collarbone. hands caressing the pudge of your stomach, again.

releasing a subtlety sweet laugh, you swat his fingers away. shivering when at the intimacy. “should we go to the room?”

shinmon smiles innocently, this being because of the alcohol flourishing through his system; nothing else. “we should.”

thus insinuating another kiss. both bodies pressed together heatedly against the countertop, lips parting slightly to allow your tongue to slip inside. moaning into his mouth, he calmly wraps those arms around your thighs. gripping your body, and lifting you in with ease. his strength carried you as if it were the easiest thing to do. before walking down the hall and into his sleeping chambers for some personal alone time. and yes— it happened to be the best night of your life.

There they go again. Those slight giggles you hate to hear as you walk with Beni. It wasn’t something new but it wasn’t something you liked. Whenever women would see you with Beni, they would do 1 of 2 things.

You wanted to feel beautiful, to be complimented, to be beautiful.

You hear the the front door slide open and closed again. You rush to put on your clothes before he can see. You fresh out of the room as if nothing had happened. Here came your hunk of a man, how lucky could you be?

“Hey, how was work?“ you ask

“I-I’m fine really! Just feeling kinda tired i think I’m going to call it a night” without a kiss or hug goodnight you turn and walk away. You left Poor Beni stunned and confused.

You never turn down your favorite meal, ans you never go off to bed without a kiss goodnight. Something was up and you were clearly upset. He went straight to the one person he can trust with anything.

Walking into the kitchen Konro was over the stove. He turns and gives Beni a smile

“Hey, foods almost done. Is Y/N ready to eat? I know she loves this!” Konro said hopefully

“...She turned down dinner” he said in a disappointed tone “she’s been acting weird and I can’t really pinpoint why.” he leans against the counter getting deep into thought

“Well, I might have a theory but I really hope it’s not true..“

“Well?“ Beni wanted to know any kind of approach that would lead to solution to your problem. At this point he wants to know everything that bothered you to make it go away. To see you smile.

“Well..she’s been making comments on her weight and looks. I always tell her you feel lucky to have her but she insists she’s the lucky one“ he says with a guilty look, almost as if he felt sad to say it “..she’s been skipping meals or just cutting portions. I tried to- Waka?“ when he turned Beni had been long gone.

He quickly walked to your shared room sliding the door open. There you lied under the covers, you face facing the door. Beni closes the door and walks over to his side and sits

“I know you’re not sleeping...” you didn’t budge “Come on tell me what’s going on so I can help you” his hand came over your hip and that’s when everything broke. Your body shakes as sniffles slipped from your lips

“How can you love me when I’m so ugly..“ you sniffle out. Now Beni was in full boyfriend mode, his heart broke to hear you use those words. In no way were you ugly, he loved you more than anything in this world. He lifts your body into his arms and into his embrace. As much as you wanted to push away, you really needed him right now.

“Listen to me, you are NOT ugly, you’re far from that. What could ever put in your mind that you don’t deserve me?“ he asked brushing hair away from your face

“I-I always see so many beautiful women with thin bodies, and delicate figures...I could never look at beautiful and you...“ you sigh heavily “you should be with someone like that...not me-“ he had crashed his lips on to yours with force

“Don’t you dare put yourself so low! I love you, and you only!“ he stared deeply into your eyes

“you’re perfect how you are. You could be as thin as a stick or how you are now and I’d still pick you. You’re the love of my life.“ he kissed your nose

“Oh Beni...you really mean that?“

“I only speak the truth, besides“ he pulls you closer “I love your curves, gives you a beautiful shape. If you were as thin as those other women I wouldn’t have anything to hold on to~“ he smirked

“Beniiii“ you whine as your cheeks heat up. He nuzzles you neck laying a few kisses
