Day 93 in my 100-day project, Imaginary Places. This night I had a lucid dream. And it was a wonderful experience. Because it turned into a dinner with my father, who passed away 12 years ago. In the dream he came to my home, a bit sad and hungry. I told him to sit down while I prepared a stew for him with his favourite ingredients – manyok, carrots, garlic, potato, green pepper, big chunks of ginger, parsley, and green lentils. I served the stew with some brown rice. When the dinner was ready I suddenly realized it was a dream, so I took the opportunity to talk with my him while we enjoyed the food. I told him how everyone was doing, sent their regards, and shared my love for him. We had a beautiful moment. About the art: Yes, I know that Adobe Fresco has a perspective grid and also I know how to use it. However, I do think my wonky freestyle perspective works better for my imaginary places. Boy-oh-boy-oh-boy, has this salmon-clad, sassy lady got some news to share with y’all tomorrow.🤗 (And, no, diamonds are not involved 💍- well, at least not for now. It’s not always about romance - unless you count the passion you’ve got for your own life, people) Nope, I’m having a pretty glorious career moment over here tonight, and we’re celebrating the news fittingly at the newest INKO NITO restaurant on Third Street with “Hottie” sushi rolls, cocktails so cool they could make me cry (if I hadn’t already tonight), and a baked potato done a way that would be downright sinister if it wasn’t so sensational.🔥🔥 So, that’s all I’ve got for y’all now, folks...but I just had to share a little spark of the magic I’m feelin’ over here as I sit with the comfort & discomfort of my dreams - like i’ve done since 2000 - watching my dreams come true on one of my all-time favorite streets in LA.💓 Hey, life - yeah, you.😘 You’re sweeter than even the sweetest dessert I’ve ever tasted.🍡 Thanks for that.
