タイヤを変えたよ(後ろだけ)

シュワルベワンというヤツらしい。

タイヤサイズは純正の1 3/8から1 1/8に変更。

細くなってグレーチングにハマりそうだ。

チューブとラバーバンド？もかえた。

乗り心地は…正直わからないけど、

エアボリュームの関係で少し硬くなった気がする。

タイヤ交換作業自体はバイクや車で手組みをしてたので

そこまで苦労しなかったけど、

ディレイラーにどういうふうにチェーンが掛かってたかが

わからなくなりそこれタイムロスしたかな。

フロントはそういうものはないから15分くらいでできそうだ。

Final na to, I’m skipping the Laguna Loop Challenge (Gravel Bike and MTB) scheduled on September 10, 2023. I was supposed to train for a week then go on a long ride at the end of the week to see if I could get fit enough to ride 230 kms in 14 hours, but the nonstop rain prevented me from getting any training done. No one would want to join an ultra-distance bike race without proper training — ika nga eh “respect the distance” so it makes more sense to just skip it.

Also, I’m thinking about skipping trail running events for the rest of 2023 and focusing on road races instead. I realized that I don’t want to risk trail running in this weather so I guess I’m done with trail running for the year.

Moving on to running on the road, there are 3 events I’m pretty interested in: the Yakult 10-Miler Run on October 15, The Great UP Run on November 19, and the ASICS Rock n Roll Run on November 26. One good thing about road running events is that their venues are usually very accessible so I don’t really have to worry about transportation or accommodation. Let’s go!

there's a guy that passes by our street selling tortillas con chicharrones (IDK how to translate but it's yummy trust me) and I didn't NOTICE til my sister told me and I had to scramble to put on my slippers and grab my wallet and keys AND MY STUPID CRUSTY LITTLE WHITE DOG who I love very much kept barking and running around and almost making me trip and I didn't get to catch the guy and my mom didn't even FLINCH she was like "How did you not hear him ?? I've been hearing his horn for a while now" and I just went AND YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ???????? no one in this hellish establishment understands the wonders of las tortillas con chicharrones.... Last night I dreamed that I was riding my bicycle through town so that I could cosplay as Vergil from DmC Devil May Cry, a premise which raises several questions. I tried to figure out within the dream where I was going, and ended up with the explanation that I was headed to Target so I could buy a toy katana, which I was going to use as if it was the real thing. Y'know, using Lowercase-M Vergil's moves in the game and everything. Even in the dream I thought this was odd, but I didn't let that slow me down.

I got distracted from my journey by this airplane that was sitting in a parking lot under the trees, near a school in the town where I live. I boarded, for reasons the dream didn't care to explain; the interior looked like a bus instead of an airplane. There were these mesh barriers blocking the way to the front of the plane/bus, and I had to climb through increasingly narrow gaps while someone (another passener?) was babbling nothing about "the Mechanicus" from Warhammer 40k. In the dream I went "you mean like. the Adeptus Mechanicus?" (I should note that I'm not actually a fan of wh40k and only know bits and pieces through osmosis.)

After putting my seatbelt on and the airplane started taxiing through the parking lot, I realized that I'd left my bike unattended and unlocked. (And upright, even though it was clearly the one I currently have, which doesn't have a kickstand.) I frantically asked the bus driver who was piloting the airplane to stop, but he ignored me or didn't give any indication that he heard me or something, until I finally went like "screw this, I'm leaving" and woke up.

Lol finally got to check out Starbucks Reserve Hiraya yesterday morning. My brother went to the gym while I went out for a bike ride so we decided to meet up for coffee after our respective workouts. There weren’t a lot of people yet when we got there but the window seats were already taken so we settled somewhere in the middle. So yep, weekday morning — that’s the best time to visit Hiraya.

I ordered the Hiraya Latte which I found to be too sweet and creamy, I could almost taste the calories with every sip lol. I guess I’ll go back to ordering the regular latte on my next visit (whenever that may be).
