do you ever think about how shadowheart and lae'zel are two sides of the same coin.

both being indoctrinated for all their lives, being lied to for the "greater good" being used for someone else's purpose. following blindly what they were raised to believe in, expecting for their goddess and their queen to be compensated for their years and years of suffering for them and their endless work, all in their name.

and then, suddenly, they find they have been lied to and manipulated for years. shadowheart was so ready to keep going blindly until aylin tells her about the wolf, and you see the seed of doubt begin to settle in her. she feels something is wrong, and she throws everything she's ever been made to believe in down the drain, and surely this is not the first time she's felt like something wasn't right. and she is so ready to take back what was taken from her. it takes more time for lae'zel, she is. less ready to accept that everything she has ever believed is a lie. but shw gets there, and she is more calm after she accepts it and let's the lies go, and all she wants is the truth to be revealed and justice for her people.
