My betrothed handed me a phone and asked if I’d like to call in our order for burgers tonight. I was like, “I haven’t looked at a menu- do you know what you want?”
“I want the classic burger, which is what you want too.”
“I- I might get something different!”
“You always look at the menu and get the same thing. You’ll want it without the onions or tomato, though. And they have tots, so you’ll get those.”
The mortifying ordeal of being known is so real. I feel both cherished and called out.

Yandere burger
yandere bunger
(yandere! burger chef entity x gn! reader)
"no- please... i'm too full... can't eat... anymore...."
"eat."
"i physically can't anymore-! that was my tenth burger...!"
the entity chef stares at you, voidless eyes glaring as he processes your words. how dare you. he's just trying to court you and you're rejecting him?!
who do you think you are?! some... some human he's so utterly in love with that if you just as much as glare at him he gets mad?!
....
yes. yes you are.
"eat. bunger."
"please... I'll die..."
the burger chef entity stares at you, unable to understand your words as he shoves a burger in front of you once more.
"bunger."

corpse paint has origins in black metal and we all know black metal is pretty important to toki's upbringing. so many jokes about black metal are made in the show because of its significance in metal culture & history and, yk, toki and skwisgaar are norwegian & swedish, scandinavian, similar to how black metal has roots in that region. anyways im just rambling but
basically you dont really see corpse paint with death metal performances. dethklok is melodic death metal, not blackened death metal, yet still regularly performs in corpse paint.
based on the shot of toki pointing at the dethklok logo in doomstar requiem and his overall artistic capabilities and nature (e.g. colouring for fun, being able to make and design his own websites, having a vivid imagination) i like to think toki likely had a large part in designing the dethklok logo, as well as coming up with many other important visual aspects of dethklok.
thats where the corpse paint comes in- me, personally, i like to think the corpse paint was toki's idea, which came from his upbringing around black metal.
black metal is very familiar to him. he grew up with Drep Du Selv next door, and his favourite band is behemoth according to a magazine interview.
so its not that much of a stretch to theorise the idea might've been his!! especially since earlyklok is never seen doing corpse paint, if im remembering correctly.
Tumblr media
the shot of toki's first venue is one without corpse paint! since dethklok does it so incredibly regularly now, i like to think it came later on, and was his idea.

Odysseus: It's a long story. Just hide, quick, please. Penelope: Oh, okay. Telemachus: I love how mom will hide from any authority figure under any circumstance. Odysseus: Oh yeah, she'd take him out if we told her too. Penelope: What? We're taking him out? Odysseus: Not this time.

I think my favorite thing about Midnight Burger (which is actually everything about it, it's my favorite podcast ever and one of my favorite things ever), is that the characters are allowed to ramble. They're allowed to make their touching speeches with too many metaphors and repeating similar sentences again and again.
I rarely see that happen in fucking anything! Characters shut each other down all the time, as if talking a lot is some horrible taboo or crime (is it a taboo? I am socially clueless), like in so many shows and movies and books, someone is passionately talking and is shut down with a "you're rambling" and reply with "sorry". But in Midnight Burger, they let each other ramble and talk and explain and technobabble to their heart's content (mostly), seeking clarification afterwards.
I love that! I really don't see that much! The more I listen to Midnight Burger, the more I love it, which is impressive because I already love it so much.

I think it's easy to tell just from looking at my blog that i like Termina way more than i like the first f&h, but if there's one thing the first game does undeniably better than the second one is making you feel absolutely devastated over the god that's being born in the game
I'm sorry but the girl's death hits infinitely harder than Reila's ever will.
Like don't get me wrong, her ascension to godhood is sad too, especially if you like Olivia a lot, and Reila wasn't terrible or even a bad person by any means
But the girl was a child, a little kid born from parents who did not give two shits about the kid herself and abandoned her in the worst place imaginable, at the end of everything she was twisted and turned into a diety because of a destiny those unloving bastards had set for her
Reila was young, sure, but she had her sister, she had friends, she got to study the things she loved, went to college, traveled the world. She had a good life
The girl didn't. Throughout her entire short life she only saw violence and suffering over and over again, never to experience any of the joys and fun every child should have in their lives and that's genuinely so upsetting to me

Bobtober Day 23 - Celestial
Text is a quote from Teddy from season 13 episode 4 of Bob’s Burgers and reads „Maybe I dunk myself in the ocean and purify me, right?“
Teddy’s feelings and perspectives in this episode are relatable I think although to a much less drastic scale. I think it’s pretty common as pattern seeking humans we see one bad thing after another happen in our lives and think there has to be a reason. It can be easier to blame it on something external like bad luck or a curse. The alternative, either looking at your own actions or just accepting the oftentimes cruel randomness of the universe can be hard.
I picked this quote because I felt something similar once when I was maybe 14 or so looking at a lake all lit up in twilight. Like that’s where all the magic in the world was and if I could just get to it I would find what was missing in me that everyone else seemed to have.
I didn’t end up jumping into any lakes and I think I was just feeling so separate from everyone else because of the undiagnosed autism.

i'd like to state that the subtitles whenever you watch aotd on a streaming site (can only talk about those since i havent watched it on dvd or any.. . purchased forms...) are incorrect when murderface says "good pep talk" to nathan after manipulating him into checking the news.
he doesnt say good pep talk. he says good rock talk. and that is something i cant get out of my head. the only character we see in dethperformance ever going through a rock talk is murderface. it's personal to him. not only that, but the rock talk he had with twinkletits was one where he dove deep into his most personal and horrific childhood traumas.
it has so much meaning to me that murderface refers to it as a rock talk, because in his eyes, rock talks will always be connected to when he finally admitted and began to face his fears and his own trauma- something thats a massive theme for nathan in army of the doomstar. i also think its fascinating because salacia is technically the one speaking (or, half-speaking) during that scene.
salacia wasnt around for the rock talk, he possesses murderface much later in the series. this further shows that salacia has been digging deep down into murderface's memories and subconscious, a lot more than people might assume. he didnt just take the information of where the army of the doomstar is- he went through everything.
and that shit is devastating to me. not even in his own mind is murderface allowed to have his own comfort and privacy. not even with his own traumatic memories. .....lord.
