exactly what it says on the tin title! after watching @skittlesplays manually resize hundreds of recolor files on stream (and trying to do it myself...), i decided that the only solution when it comes to editing textures for ts2 was... photoshop! here are 9 photoshop actions geared towards 4t2 conversions, but hey, maybe you could use them for other stuff too 💖

i made these for personal use and have been using them on and off for the last few months, so i suppose you could say they've been sufficiently tested... the actions included aren't final though, i might go back and add a few more as my areas of expertise expand 😅 more info and instructions under the cut, long post warning! 👇🏽

How to Install These Actions

open up photoshop and click on the big 'play' button in the corner. that's the actions tab. then click on the little down arrow and 4 lines in the corner of that subwindow.

select 'load actions' from the list, and navigate to wherever you've installed my .atn file! then that's it, you've got them installed, easy-peasy.

How to Use These Actions (1 at a Time)

open up the texture that you want to edit in photoshop; for this example i'm using a dress i'm 4t2'ing from the throwback fit kit. now it's time to decide which action you're gonna use to make this texture compatible with ts2!

as the texture is 1024 x 2048, i'm gonna use the 'texture clothing: 1024x2048 to 1024x1024' action to downsize it.

ta-da! now it's a reasonable size!

How to Use These Actions (Dozens at a Time)

now for what this set was really made for: editing a ton of textures at a time! just go to file -> automate -> batch...

and navigate to the textures you'd like to batch-edit. here's a few things you should probably keep in mind: - checking 'include all subfolders' will edit ALL the textures from that filepath onwards. - if you set your destination as 'save and close' as pictured, all your files will be autosaved after the action has been run. - so if you don't want to live on the edge, like me, and are afraid of running the wrong action, just open up one of the files you're batch-editing and check which action should be run on it before you do the other files.

and behold! all of my textures have been cut down, and a bunch of my time saved 😎

Examples of Stuff Each Action Can Be Used For

in case you were curious! the first two actions, i mainly use for objects. a lot of ts4 cc creators have their texture sizes set to 2048x2048 or even more, which is way more than (my) ts2 can normally handle. i mean, that much for a candle? geez! so these two actions are used to cut down those textures and not kill your graphics cards.

these are for cas stuff, like clothing, hairs, and accessories. alpha creators tend to have larger texture sizes, but ea's are almost always a cool 1024x2048. just make sure you check before you run the actions!

trim is... i honestly can't remember the last time i used trim, just... if you need it, it's there

the last two actions are for floors and walls! floors are set to autosave as .bmp; walls are up to you. the texture sizes are made to match homecrafter's.

and... that's about it! lol. i know this isn't normally what i post, but i figured that since a lot more people are getting into 4t2 converting recently, these actions might help y'all.

The Sign - Ep 8

We all see you Tharn, how you are eager to be petted and kissed, like Namami! For a second, but still, because, like a true cat, you stopped it for reasons known only by you 😭 100% cat behavior 😆

I have mixed feelings after this episode 👻 On the one hand, it was very interesting, we learned a lot of new things, most of my wild theories turned out to be true, there were a lot of funny scenes that made me laugh out loud. But this episode left me feeling very unsatisfied. For so many reasons:

Phaya looks terrified after waking up from a nightmare. And after a short conversation they both just go to sleep like…..roommates lol Tharn should have hugged Phaya and comforted him, I would give my right kidney for Phaya cuddling up to Tharn like Tharn was cuddling to him before. This scene begs for Tharn to comfort Phaya!

Phaya and Tharn spent a 💞🔥 night, confessed their feelings to each other, and Tharn even said that he made an important decision for himself and Phaya. And their morning after after all this was… nice. That's all. Phaya, Tharn and we deserve better!

Scenes from their past lives. Hmm. First of all, I find it strange to insist on calling Wansarat a girl when the series shows Tharn as a man. I know they didn't want to show Phaya (Billy)'s romance with Wansarat (Freen) so as not to damage BillyBabe's Brand Couple™ image, but there is a very simple solution to this problem: they could have hired another actor to play Garuda and Freen to play Wansarat! And it would even make sense, because at one point Phaya himself says what does it have to do with him, since he already loves someone and it's Tharn - a guy, while watching himself and… Tharn on a fantasy TV with us 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Maybe it's just me, but I don't see any great love between Garuda and Wansarat, certainly not like between Phaya and Tharn. Like, they met, bam! they're a couple now, then in a very soap opera-ish (which makes it a bit comical) style, they both die. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this story lacked depth, emotions of these characters, their feelings. The most emotional scene was Chalathon's horror when he killed Wansarat. I just... I just don't believe in their love being powerful enough to want them to be together again, to create new reincarnations 🤷‍♀️

Ok, enough with tis negativity :) What I liked about it:

There was no awkwardness between them in their mornig after scene, they are both adults, they are both smitten, Tharn tries hard to hide how mushy he feels and I love his sparkling eyes and hidden smiles. 🥰 I like that Phaya immediately suggests moving in together, it's very much in his character. (It's a shame that there is no conversation about their relationship status, I think Phaya is the type of guy who immediately wants the rest of the world to know that Tharn is with him)

I love the abbot, how uncompromising and badass he is, how he has no qualms about fucking up the deity he serves, talking back to him, reprimanding him and how he uses his superpowers. He's super cool.

The training scene was great:

Khem is fun and a little shit in combat, but very skillful

Thongthai ending the fight and winning it with one, well thought, well placed, killer sentence 💀😎

Khem who puts being Thongthai's boyfriend above everything else, including his pride, him winning the fight, everything. The scene where he beats himself with Tongthai's hands: 10/10

teasing Tharn but again in such a nice, friendly way 😊

astounding detective work in figuring out where Tharn spent the night

Phaya coming to Tharn's rescue and stopping any situation that might cause Tharn discomfort 🤩

Phaya kicking Khem's ass and CALLING THONGTHAI TO HELP HIM AND THONGTHAI WITHOUT HESITATION JOINING IN KICKING KHEM'S ASS 😆😆😆 it was SO FUNNY

Yai telling Phaya to take care of his baby brother and Tharn smiling shyly and sweetly and not protesting at all! 🥺 ok, just kill me now, too much uwu 🥺

The scene of Tharn and Phaya by the river, how Tharn takes care of Phaya, them holding hands, Yai feeling happy for them and the scene of him making a heart gesture with a random guy 😆 I also really liked Phaya's panicked look when he doesn't see Tharn. The strange thing is that Tharn, who pulls Phaya away from the water, promises to take care of him, is stressed by the whole situation, when later doesn't see Phaya for a long time does… nothing. He's not even aware that Phaya's gone! Well, it's not the first time that Tharn is a victim of the plot and what currently suits the scriptwriters, and it probably won't be the last 😑

I liked Phaya saying: cool story bro, this cgi is nice and shit, but what does it have to do with me, as I already have a sweet boo back home, who is a whole ass DUDE (I know, I checked thoroughly last night) and also my whole world 😤 I love him for that 👌 I really wanted to make it clear that Phaya fell in love with THARN, not someone else's reincarnation, even if that's technically the case.

I liked Tharn's fight with that masked guy.

And I liked Tharn in white shorts and Phaya's oversized clothes. Phaya also served some sexy looks in this episode 👌

Absolutely perfect, heartbreaking scene of Tharn's anguish. I love Babe's voice in the scenes of his despair, his voice cracked just as much when they were pulling Phaya out of the water during their training, as it does now. It's... wow...

And finally, the question… what exactly are Phaya and Tharn paying for, what was the abbot talking about, what is their karma, what did they do wrong to keep paying for it? Because this story shows that they are both victims of OTHER PEOPLE, and that karma should be a bitch only towards Chalathorn?! Am I missing something?

(Phaya must have pleased and served Tharn well, since he did not wake up either when Phaya was being strangled and he tossed around in bed, or when he got up first in the morning 🤭🤭)

🧤 Stock sound effects play after almost every sentence. Noone can figure out where they're coming from

🧤 WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO YUU?? WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS ANNOUCING THINGS THAT HAPPEN??

🧤Makes the stupidest 'simple solutions' known to man with the worst materials and they work! But only for Yuu and oddly enough Kalim? Attempting to replicate their crafts always end in failure.

🧤 Probably the best at sneaking up on people and spying 🔎. Which confuses the hell out of everyone because once they're told they're there they realize Yuu is literally just standing 3-5ft away with a hole cut in an see-through umbrella 🌂

🧤 Yuu will not stop bringing food to class in the most convoluted, silly ways possible. Other students are baffled. They're allowed to eat food in class? But Yuu takes out a glue stick to chew on during class anyway.

🧤 Overblots are easy with Yuus collection of life hacks and crafts.

🧤Carter refuses to post the videos Yuu keeps trying to make and Trey no longer lets Yuu help him bake

🧤 Post Ch. 1 - Yuu makes Riddle elevator boot attachments with the use of hot glue. He's now about Jade height but it looks so tacky 😭, it did not solve his temperament problem like Yuu predicted it would and he can't get them off

🧤 Ch. 2 - Yuu gets information out of everyone easily -including Ruggie- with stupid crafts. (One is a giant cardboard box with a face on it) But does not figure out it's Ruggie controlling people until Midway through Leona's breakdown.

🧤 Ch. 3 - before departing to the ocean Yuu makes groucho glasses and mustaches out of hot glue, bubble wrap, and ductape. While Floyd and Jade stop and battle Ace and Deuce they swim in with no problem. Unfortunately they get distracted, end up bribeing the security gaurd with bubble wrap for photos of their adventure, and do not grab the photo.

Blorbo Ranking Top 20 for April—this one runs really long.

Once again, I've managed to butcher my rankings every single month. As always, top two spots go to my favorite men. Those are the only stable rankings I will ever have.

People who fell off the list: Ace, Zoro, Buggy, and Pell. I am shocked that both Zoro & Buggy fell off my list. They've both been staples and they somehow got replaced.

People who are new this month: Laboon, Killer, Rayleigh, and Penguin. I know I've had Penguin and Laboon on previous lists, but they might have been on January's top 10.

Folks who didn't change spots at all: Sir Crocodile, Wyper, Marco, & Mihawk.

Those who moved UP since March: Alvida has moved 1 spot into 3rd, Sabo moved 1 spot into 15th, and Bepo also moved 1 spot into 17th, Shanks moved 2 spots into 4th, and lastly Sakazuki moved 6 spots into 9th.

Those who dropped DOWN since March: Vivi dropped 2 spots into 19th, Borsi Baby dropped 3 spots into 6th, Kid dropped 3 spots into 10th, Smoker dropped 3 spots into 13th, and lastly Trafalgar dropped 5 spots into 14th.

Ace's spot went to Smoker and Zoro's spot went to Trafalgar. Vivi took Buggy's spot and Laboon took Pell's.

Sakazuki jumped ranks the most out of anyone who was already on the list but Rayleigh jumped the most for new blokes. Both older men made it into the top 10 of this list. Trafalgar dropped the most out of anyone already on the list and of the people who fell off, Ace fell the most.

While I did vote for more women this go around (Dr. Kureha, Makino, Nojiko, Perona, Bell-Mere, Laki) I still only have two women holding down the fort (my girl Alvida and Vivi). Alvida is still out here taking names and I love that for her, but that's as far as she can go on the list.

Still don't know why Mihawk is hanging out on the list, he is not a blorbo and neither is Killer. And I completely blame you for putting both Sabo and Rayleigh in my brain. At one point I had both Sakazuki and Rayleigh matched up and my solution for figuring out who to choose was to say "which old man would I rather screw me into the wall?" Rayleigh apparently. HE WAS NEVER ON MY RADAR. Why, why, WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME QUIN?!?!?!?!?

Added bonus, the horrible decision I had to make:

Generally speaking, if a woman goes against one my blrobos she'll lose because the blorbos I would let do unspeakable things to me whereas the women I want as gal pals. Buggy isn't a blorbo either but I ship him hard with Alvida which is why I vote for him and I'm devastated he's off the list. I owe Alvida an apology. Kinda bummed Thatch didn't make the list again. And someday the people who run that site will add Aramaki because I accidentally added him into my brain.

I'm a sucker for plant powers plus he has the shirt allergy, so I didn't really have a prayer. Plus he has a sword and apparently my "type" is "carries at least one sword". Other proven types are: red-haired, white-haired, facial scar(s), missing a body part, and any combination of these.

Ok so I’ve seen so many posts floating around about opportunities for canon verse Steve to catch a cold and the one that has me in an absolute chokehold is in S3 where they’re spying on the Russians in the rain. I mean??? Come on….

Well. I’ve come to say look no further. @butyoumakemesohot and I are collabing on a two part “series”. I’m making a little something for S3 and she’s doing one for S4 😎

Also this was so hard to write because it’s before Steve and Robin really become close friends so at this point they’re more like coworkers who talk. ~KB

Steve flicked away some water from his eyes as Robin looked down from the roof with binoculars. Not that it made any difference - he, Robin and Dustin were thoroughly soaked to the bone.

It was pouring rain, the way only Hawkins could in the summer. When Robin had said she cracked the code earlier today, Steve was the first on board with their plan to scope out the mall that evening. But now, soaked and sniffly, he was regretting that decision.

“Snf how much longer do we have to be here?”

“Until we find what we’re looking for!” Robin said, not moving her eyes from the binoculars.

“Well… find it faster. It’s wet and snff cold SNF and I want to go home.”

“Stop complaining!” Dustin elbowed him.

“Ow! Hey! SnFF I have a cold and you dragged me out in the rain. You’re lucky if I don’t get pneumonia…”

Robin sighed, exasperated, “You don’t get sick from being wet, Dingus.”

“Gimme the binoculars.” Dustin made a grab for them, Robin taking them off her back and handing them to the boy.

Steve shook his head and lifted a hand to comb the hair out of his face. Robin looked at him, perplexed.

“Why do you have that stupid look on your face?”

“I’m snff gonna snehh sneeze…”

“Don’t you dare!” Robin hissed through her teeth.

Everyone was familiar with how loud Steve’s sneezes were, and on top of this echoing roof? There would be no hiding that. Their position would be compromised immediately.

“Just don’t sneeze!” Dustin said as if it were an obvious solution.

“I can’t just nehhh not .. sneeze, Henderson…”

His breath was already starting to hitch. Robins eyes widened as she did the only thing she could think to do. She took off her Scoops vest and lunged forward quietly.

Laying on top of his back like a hug from behind, she pressed the vest to her coworker’s face, trying to pinch his nose and cover his mouth at the same time.

“HIH-MPSSH! H’MPTSCH!!”

The three froze for a minute, making sure the guards didn’t see or hear them. It seemed they were in the clear.

“There!” Dustin stage whispered.

“Umb a bless you would be ndice.” Steve rolled his eyes.

“No dummy, those are the boxes. Right there!!” He pointed down so they could see right where they needed to go.

“Alright. So we’ll just have to figure out a way to get back there!” Robin exclaimed as if it would be easy.

“Figure it out tomorrow. I’b going home.”

The bell at the front of Scoops Ahoy rang. Steve wiped at his nose with his already damp tissue and shoved it back into his shorts pocket.

“Ahoy, sailor! How can I hehh help- HAESSSH! ISSSH! HAKSSHIEW!”

The two girls at the counter grimaced, “On second thought, we’ll go to Baskin Robbins…”

The window to the back room slid open, “Switch with me Dingus, you’re scaring away all our customers!”

“I ab ndot! … iKSHew! snlorff”

Steve slurped back congestion and Robin gagged as she shut the window and walked around to the front.

“Bless you. You really weren’t kidding about that cold.” She tried to make light of it, feeling slightly guilty her antics may have contributed to making it worse.

Steve shrugged, “Been happeni’g a lot m’bore since I started hanging out with the kids.”

Robin pulled a couple napkins from the dispenser on the counter.

“Blow your nose, moron. I can hardly understand you.” She chuckled.

She felt a panic in her chest as he did as he was told.

“Hey, why don’t you go home? I can finish up here.”

“I can’t ask you to do that Robin.”

“You aren’t asking. I’m offering.”

“Are you sure?” Steve asked again.

“Yeah. It’s what friends are for.”

Steve thanked her as he grabbed his backpack and headed out. Robin couldn’t stop hearing that word echoing in her head.

✨I can only speak for myself, but I’m alright! Sorry to have just vanished without a word. I honestly didn’t intend to and always hoped I’d get back into the swing of this

Last year I started a new job that is really physically and sometimes emotionally exhausting. I’m very happy there!! But I also have 2 part time jobs on top of that, so I’m just a wee bit burnt out and tired lmao

I've been Chronically Offline for a while, not just here; working 5-7 days a week without weekends or holidays means my free time is quite limited. And yeah, that free time has not included Heso at all, so I really can’t answer any questions about the game from the last year even when I am rarely around :/

So like... when will I come back? Will I come back? Big shrug. I do love the game and this community, I just don’t have the energy for it like I used to. So don't get your hopes up, I guess. Sorry

Heeey, anon. It's super sweet of you to have sent in this ask, so I thank you for your concern. To answer your question, I'm doing fine, too. Like Mod Kara, I've got a job as well, but unlike her, I'm as online as ever, so what's my excuse?

Well, I haven't exactly touched anything Heso-related in... since the last time I posted actual Heso news, whenever that was. At one point, I sort of just stopped opening up the game and mostly left things up to Mod Kara. Truth be told, it's been a long time since I've actively been interested in Heso for a variety of reasons, ranging from my issues with the game itself, my current dedication to other interests, and the admittedly less-than-ideal way that I perceive this blog that I've owned for the past 5 years.

I'm aware that my explanation isn't as... justified as Mod Kara's. She's not active because she genuinely has too much on her plate at the moment, while I'm not active for reasons that can essentially be boiled down to I Don't Want To. Because of that, I do feel some degree of guilt for not being around for people who follow this blog, so I'm not going to bother defending myself. All I can really say without going full-blown TMI is that there are a handful of different factors that contribute to my lack of motivation, and I simply can't take responsibility for a long-term help blog when I'm like this.

Does that mean I'm quitting, or does that mean I'll be back one day? I'll just repeat what Mod Kara said above: Big shrug. I've learned a long time ago that I'm wildly inconsistent, so I'd feel like I'm lying if I committed to one particular resolution right now. And thus... I guess you could say this is a really belated hiatus announcement?

(inb4 anyone asks if we can just get new mods on board: that would be the obvious solution, but those things have only led to mods being cyberstalked. out of the question.)

~Mod Ichi (I’m sorry if I’m late!) As for me... it’s really been a mixture of things! I’ve made a lot of big steps in my life and I’ve gotten a lot more busy at work now that I’ve taken on more roles. I also recently got married so that’s awesome! (Planning the reception party has been so stressful aaa...) My wife and I are also looking to move into a new place soon, so that has also been taxing.

But to be honest, it’s also because on my end, like Mod Ichi, I’ve also been interested in other things. Between work, my social obligations and my other hobbies, my attention has been pulled in a million different directions. I feel really bad and I’m sorry to all of the folks who still follow the blog and look for news / updates.

Emulators!

The days are getting long and time is getting wonky – I want an emulator because I want to play some cool games! 😎

I have been intently researching and thinking about emulators for a few days now and I feel like I want to pull the trigger on a handheld solution soon.

I’m between getting something like Retroid Pocket 3+ or an old android phone with a controller accessory.

The nice thing about an old phone would be that it would have a much nicer screen and slightly better performance. The nice thing about the Retroid is that it is a dedicated handheld.

I had come across emulators before but felt far too intimidated by the setup process to do anything about it, but I’m not in a place that I am willing to put in the work to figure out how to get the gaming console of my dreams (or close to it).

If there’s a chance that I can play so many of my favorite systems – even GameCube and PS2 on the same device – I need to see it through!!

Part of the reason I’m interested in securing some sort of gaming situation is to deal with the long days. The days still feel heavy and I feel very little motivation to do anything at all. The only thing that has been giving me excitement is games!

Once I can figure out an emulator situation, I think I’ll spend some time reconnecting with my inner child through games 🥹

I  love this. Because I hope that even if you may not have a good day today, that you remember that the beginning is always just the start. It takes great courage and bravery to take the first step to even start your day. Life is a gift. When you choose to get up and try each day, to me it means that you can see the value of yourself. That is precious. You may feel the beginning of a day difficult but it is not the end. There is no all or nothing. There is always more and a chance to start again and as many times as you need. 💪 The beginning of something just means you are just closer to the limitless pathways that will be opened for you to walk. It’s your choice.

This is the second lyrics I loved so much:

These hit me hard and I had no idea this was what I was hearing for a while until I looked up the lyrics. I felt a solemn feeling with the track and these lyrics just validated that feeling. I thought about Yoongi, Bangtan, and ARMY. The don’t forget who cries when you’re laughing part really touched my heart because I wonder if everyone has these thoughts. When someone is laughing someone out in the world is crying. I feel like Yoongi was talking about how at times there is only so much you can give but then you feel like giving more because you don’t know if someone out there is relying on your presence to even smile or go about their day. It’s sweet. It’s like repaying back someone who has given so much to you. I feel like when Yoongi said to not forget those who scattered flowers on the road, he may be referring to ARMY. The ones who made the path less thorny. This is just me but it felt so figurative also to people who you wish to reciprocate the same care and love they have given back even if you are having a hard time. I love this track a lot. But with these lyrics I wanted to say that I hope we can keep just grabbing flowers from our own paths and throwing it at each others paths. Hehe It sounds funny but I think it’s cute. 🥰 I may have many gorgeous flowers growing in my path right now and I got many but I don’t mind sharing them if you give me some of yours in return and I don’t mind if it’s a bunch of dandelions. I will accept them with care. Flowers are nice and many things in this world are nice but when shared with the right people it is very fulfilling and it makes any path worth walking even if it may be lonely at times.💜

ok so there has been major progress in the Sheep Plays Hockey saga: i have successfully gone to four (4) adult learn to play hockey sessions!

impressive, right? im winning at life fr fr

so a few points of interest in no particular order:

my first session, we started by doing laps around the rink and transitioning from forward to backward skating on the blue line. ok. fine. i can do this (<- lying). cue to me doing an absolute belly flop slide right next to the boards where this coach ass looking mf was just leaning and chatting with the instructors. i think i surprised them lol. dude was super cool about it and gave me very earnest advice about center of gravity and how to better balance (really nice guy, i think he felt bad for me 🙃)

side note: everyone is so supportive!? like honestly i just showed up one day and was like "sup i want to play hockey" and everyone made an effort to get to know my name and everything. Completely different from my experiences with figure skating where everyone did their own thing!

side note on the side note: everyone found out i am a complete newbie pretty quick and they are soooo supportive of me. like i always finish way behind everyone during drills but they cheer me on and its actually so amazing.

glove taps can mean so much. enough said.

as i had never played hockey with a stick/puck before going to these sessions, my stick handling and passing could use some work to put it lightly. But! i have made some serious improvements and also gained some massive respect to the pros. the puck is literally my worst enemy rn. slippery fucker

my funniest accomplishment is making crisp tape-to-tape passes to the opposing team in 3 on 3s 🤪! (unlike geno, i do not make tape-to-tape passes to my team to balance it out so ummm oopsies)

my favorite accomplishment is probably figuring out how to stop on one foot! (umm lets just ignore my two-foot hockey stop we dont need to look at it) 😎😎😎

hockey gear Stinks. Bad. especially second hand gear! especially when the only place to hang it up to dry is right next to your bed! do yourself a favor and dont hang it up right next to your bed. i have yet to come up with a solution other than dousing it with teatree oil spray immediately after getting home from the rink but at least i am the only person who has to suffer it

shout out to the two men on my team during my last 3 on 3. they are the real ones. "just pass it to where no one else is, we'll get it" and then they did. kings!!

Overall, I have had a blast learning to play hockey so far. It has done nothing but encourage my obsession with watching hockey players skate. And now i can be like "hey, i can do that! not well, but i can do that!" and that is sooo cool fr. I literally vibrate in anticipation before my weekly sessions and it so so amazing. 🥰🥰🥰

entertaining more on the idea of integrating Emily’s flimsy allegiance to no one side, it would make perfect sense that she becomes a double agent in her AOT verse. LMAO. like, i think it would be very Girl Boss (™) of her to subtly manipulate all contending parties into working together. it would be inevitable either way, but i’d like to think her meticulous actions would make the process go a little faster. 😎✨  Emily wouldn’t even realize she’s doing it until the events leading up of the Rumbling, ie. the Attack Titan attacking Liberio. 

but before that, she spent years gathering intel for herself. a mission to reunite with her mother turned into rabbit hole of finding answers, solutions—feeding into her dangerously curious mindset. she has a box filled with notes, newspaper clippings, and copied pages of evidence. especially in her years of espionage, she has come to find pieces of the truth about the country she serves and Eldian history from the perspective of other countries. diving into such obsessive research does blur the lines of her morality, her purpose, her reason to do this in the first place. to play both sides of the same coin, disguised as an ‘us vs. them’ narrative. the hero vs. the devil. 

i haven’t quite figured out how she would end up working with Zeke and the Azumabito clan yet (and ‘side’ with Paradis), but i can totally see her doing that. 

and because she’s working for both sides, Emily would definitely be someone who’s hard to trust, and alternatively, someone who doesn’t trust others easily. everyone has an ulterior motive, and that’s a motto she goes by in all her verses. but when faced with a universal threat, ie. the Rumbling, people can count on her to bring people together... with her empirical evidence that we are all literally the same human race, just in different fonts!!!!

You sprinted down the road, briefcase clasped tightly in your hands. You grinned and skidded to a stop, the thick skirt slapping against your legs. "Wrecker!" You panted. You waved your arm, beaming brightly at the massive man. "I have it!"

The smile on his face was clearly visible from the distance he was at, and you had the sensation that no matter how far he was it would always be clear to you, that smile. He trotted across towards you, easily carried despite the bulk of strength he was. "For that one case?"

You nodded- law school had been enough to teach you books and reading knowledge, but it was really tough to master the experiences. Intelligence was knowing what to do and smarts was actually managing to pull it off.

You tugged a paper from your brief case and skimmed it for the solution you had scribbled down. "The whole fence fiasco! Cid is upset that her chickens aren't getting all the sun they need."

"Mhm." Wrecker nodded, encouraging, leaning heavily on the fence.

"And McGyver doesn't want to move the fence. So why not-" You tapped a finger pointedly at the paper, the teetering bundle of joy of knowing something, realizing a solution, burst in you. "Chicken wire! The chickens can get the sun they need and the fence won't have to move!"

Wrecker grinned brightly, reaching up to the hat on his head and knocking it back so it was fanned behind his head, the eye patch not at all taking away from the joy in his working eye. "Told ya you were smart enough to figure it out."

You grinned and raced ahead of him, turning in front of him, the hat on your own head bouncing as you walked backwards. Solutions were your thing, fresh out of law school, and you had taken it upon yourself to solve the little problems of this little town, quaint little Maureder Valley.

"Am I interrupting something? I hope not," You grinned, still walking.

Wrecker shook his head and thumbed his hat on, the callous pad of his thumb gently brushing on the straw. "Nah, I'm just getting some chores done." His hands reached out, clasping you as if you were nothing, and then he plunked you easily up on the ridge of the pen. "Gotta water the hogs. You keep talking!" His smile was bright, wide, and showed he was listening.

You grinned and kicked your legs against the sturdy wood of the fence and you chatted, happily, about everything and nothing and all that could come to your mind.

The unmasking of Spider-Man

Oh Dylan. You poor soul. You picked the one spideypool fic in the list which I know is not your jam. If you want to pick a different one I wouldn't blame you!

So this one. Wade accidentally sees Spider-Man without his mask

There's a city-wide event going on and Wade is just innocently admiring Spidey's backside and staying out of the fighting. He's got plans tonight and he doesn't want to be pulled into something he can't get out of to make it on time to the latest My Little Pony movie premier.

Also, as much as he wants to like Spidey, he doesn't have such a great track record in role models and what he hears about him is such a mixed bag that he would rather keep his distance until he figures out what's the truth. Is he an attention-seeking menace to the city? Or is he a friendly neighborhood hero who gets dealt a bad hand more often than not? With the big battle going on it's the perfect chance for him to lay this quandary to rest once and for all.

The heavy hitters are all off wailing on bad guys but Spidey is in the trenches, dodging debris and kicking bad guy butt and saving civilians and their pets ALL at a detriment to himself. He's bleeding and looking rough but he doesn't quit and he doesn't let his injuries keep him from putting everything on the line for the next person, and the next, and the next.

Wade's a goner. He admired him before but now he also respects him (which NEVER happens) and also maybe has a teensy tiny taj mahal-sized crush on him. So when Spidey loses his mask and Wade accidentally gets an eyeful of that doe-eyed, horrified face he does the only logical thing.

Before Spidey can flee he shouts, "Wait! I have the perfect solution!" He puts his gun to his head and pulls the trigger.

He wakes up and feels like hot garbage. Worse, the avengers are standing over him. And also Spider-Man. Ugh. Death by brain damage is the worst.

"Which one of you asshats did me in?"

"What are you talking about? Spidey said you shot yourself."

He narrows his eyes at Spider-Man. "Yeah I don't think so. I had plans tonight, er yesterday whatever. No way would I miss the MLP premier so I could feel like shit and forget half a day."

Spidey's eye go wide then narrow. "What do you mean?"

"Death by head injury is the worst. I lose hours of memories and it takes forever for hand-eye coordination to come back. I wouldn't do that unless I had a really good reason."

[What about all those times you-,]

"Shutting you up is a good reason."

SO Wade not only doesn't remember Peter's face, but he doesn't remember watching him fight and having his change of heart.

The rest of the fic is an agonizing slow burn of Wade being cagey and distrustful while Peter is trying to figure out 1) if he's telling the truth about the memory thing 2) WHY he would do that just to keep his identity safe especially bc he seems like he can barely stand him and 3) if he should tell him why he did what he did

They go back and forth arguing and mistrusting each other until..... well I haven't figured that out yet exactly so we'll see 😎
