Alright, a little angst idea came into my head and now I need to share it.

So we all know Darius wears these long gloves in his S2 design.

And it's kind of excepted that they're just for the ✨aesthetic✨, or to fit into his germaphobe character. But do you remember when we all lost our shit over Hunter wearing gloves? Because what if one of the reasons he wears them is to hide scars from Belos/missions?!

But like there is so much angst potential if we apply that to Darius!!

We know that the previous golden guard was Darius's mentor, and that Belos has a habit of killing off his grimwalkers in really brutal ways. And well, witch burnings were a thing.

Imagine, Darius seeing the man he looked up to, trained under, and loved like a brother, go up in flames before his eyes. Imagine him plunging his hands into the blazing fire, to save him, to help, to do something. Imagine him being pushed away by heavy hands, his mentor shouting at him to keep himself safe, to run.

Imagine him seeing his hands covered in burns up to his forearms, scars healing magic couldn't fix. A constant reminder of the night he lost the person closest to him, the worst night of his life.

Anyway, gloves are cool.

Its that time of week again. It's The End of the World With You time. This show is really pushing the idea of living in the moment. All of these characters are haunted by their pasts and have no future to look forward to, so they are helping each other heal in their current situations. And it is so eye opening watching these damaged characters be vulnerable and lean on each other in a way that other shows are not. Maybe it is because of the inevitable end that everyone is facing that forces this message to be at the forefront of what is happening. But I think Ritsu and Masumi are finally realizing that the past and future are not as important as what they want right now. And it is so fascinating to pair that with Yuma who is a teenager and clearly acts like a teenager where every little inconvenience causes him to feel all his emotions. He is so expressive and reactive while his new "parents" are quite opposite, especially Ritsu. And i think Yuma yelling at the meteor might be foreshadowing. This show started out very rocky but it has surprisingly found its stride and is so good.

Whats your favorite part of being an elf?

What a complicated question, haha!

Let's start with there's no one way to be an elf. This sort of experience is different for everyone, and the field is so big that it's entirely possible that my experience is going to be entirely different from anyone else's.

With that in mind, my favorite part is that everything is a collaborative effort. There's this sense of being part of something greater, everyone is a valuable part of a whole and it's beyond satisfying to see everyone's hard work come together to make Christmas happen. I'm very lucky, my job takes me through just about every department daily and I get to interact with so many people, sometimes when I wake up in the mornings, I have to take a minute and just lay there and think about the scale of all of the people I've met and interacted with.

I guess my favorite part of being an elf is just how small and yet how precious my role is, and that's in part because of all the wonderful people I get to meet just like you. :)
