the man who falls – secret origins (1989)
[ID: a twenty year old Bruce Wayne while on his journey to becoming Batman. In the first picture, Bruce is shaking hands with a recruiting officer for the FBI. Bruce is wearing a pink suit and red striped tie. He's smiling politely and is shown in a lower angle than the older man that's smiling eagerly at him. The narration box says, ‘Bruce entered FBI training.’ In the second photo, Bruce is frowning as he walks down a set of stairs. Behind him is several people in business wear as Bruce is in a brown suit with a green tie. The narration boxes say, ‘He stayed in it for exactly six weeks. During that time, he'd learned much about writing reports, obeying regulations, analyzing statistics, and dressing neatly... And nothing else.’ The last photo is outside of a flying airplane. The narration continues, ‘The experience confirmed a suspicion he'd long had: he could not operate within a system. People who caused other people to fail did not recognize systems. He left for Korea that night.’ END ID]

Your hands are still slightly shaky by the time you all arrive at Kirby's - the sounds of the gun echoing out through the old abandoned barn, then watching the Gale Weathers fall onto the wooden floor, ruined any fun you believed you were going to have.
There’s a clinking in the kitchen that catches your attention, eyes darting towards Robbie who stands and grabs a bottle of amber liquid. Kirby makes her way over, plopping in the middle of you and Jill.
“Stop fidgeting,” The blonde nudges your foot with hers. “You’re making me nervous.”
“What even happened?” Jill shakes her head.
“Chaos! Utter chaos.” Kirby reaches over and grabs a few pieces of popcorn.
“The sheriff's wife, man. She told us to cancel and we didn’t,” Robbie looks like he’s about to have a breakdown. “And now this? What are we supposed to do?”
“Robbie, calm down. It makes sense.” Charlie steps into the living room. Your brows pinch together.
“Makes se… How would this make any sense? Enlighten us.” Your eyes narrow at the boy. You curse him for being pretty - because then you can’t stay mad at him too long.
He paces as he starts to ramble. “This is what the reboots do. T-they one up the original ending.”
“The Woodsboro Murders ended at a party. So, in the remake-” Kirby starts before Charlie finishes for her, feeding off of her own knowledge.
“So the party is the false ending,” He points at her, Red Bull in hand. “New rules.”
Kirby brings the glass towards her lips, brows lifting as her green eyes travel around the room, smirking. “Exactly.”
You sigh a bit, shaking your head. “Okay, no offense, guys, but I’m gonna put in Stab 7. No one cancels my film festival.”
“Are you serious?” Your brows lift slightly, watching as he turns and grabs the case that was resting on the cabinet.
“I-I don’t know if I wanna watch that. Especially after what happened to Olivia.”
“Oh, come on! It was her favorite.” Kirby points towards the television.
“I think I have to agree with Jill on this one,” You scratch at your neck. “It just… it seems a little too soon to be watching this movie.”
Kirby opens her mouth but Charlie is cutting her off before she can say anything more, eyes cutting over. “Oh, wow, Kirby. You got some classics here.”
“Yup.” She smiles. You shift in your seat, eyes cutting between the two. Kirby had been your best friend since middle school. She had known all your little secrets and you knew all of hers.
Except, there was one secret you hadn’t quite told her.
Your very hidden feelings about Charlie Walker - a boy who has been awkward since he’d moved and went to Woodsboro Middle.
You knew she wouldn’t try to do anything with Charlie if she knew - she’d even encourage you to shoot your shot.
And if you shoot that shot, you’d be let down. Because Charlie is head over heels for your friend.
“‘Suspiria’. ‘Don’t look now’.”
“You know it,” She smiles. “I could answer any question you ask me, cinema boy.”
“Oh, yeah?” He turns and steps a bit closer towards the open chair on your right side. “Who played leatherface first?”
“Gunnar Hansen.” She shrugs.
“Wow,” He plops down. “Did…did you just feel that? That charge that went between us just then?”
You look down at your fidgety hands, browns pinching together slightly. You felt like you were intruding.
“Oh, that was just me,” Her voice lowers slightly, a smirk on her face. “I have powers.”
“So sexy.”
“Alright,” You stand from your seat, clearing your throat. You suddenly wished you’d just stood without saying a word, because then no one would’ve acknowledged you. “I… I’m gonna go lie down. Or use the bathroom. Or something.” Your hands slide down the sides of your jeans, feet marching towards the archway.
You flinch when you see Trevor, humming softly as you turn and look at Jill. “Your little boyfriend is here,” You then glance at him. “You're lucky she doesn’t get a restraining order on you. I would.”
You walk past him, jogging up the steps. Your eyes catch Charlie’s, frowning at the forlorn look on his face and the downturn of his plush lips. You shake your head, looking away as you walk into Kirby’s bedroom, shutting the door and taking a small breather to yourself.
🔪
You feel like you’ve had enough time to take a breather - almost an hour and you still haven't left your spot on Kirby’s bed.
You stand from the soft comforter, slowly making your way down the steps, careful not to go over any creaky steps. You stop when you hear a conversation.
“Couldn’t you make a move?” It’s soft and slightly whispered, but you know it’s Charlie.
“I just did,” It’s Kirby. They’re alone. You peek out quietly, watching as she scoots closer, her finger pinching at the sleeve of his shirt. “‘Cause you’re actually really cute. Especially when I’m scared… lonely… and drunk.”
You want to look away, but it's like a train wreck honestly. You just can’t.
They flinch apart when Trevor walks in and you have to force yourself to stop thanking him - because, well, he’s Trevor. A little parasite that can’t seem to go away.
So you thank him in your head. Especially when he gets sidetracked, eyes catching a scene from Stab.
“Oh, dude, I love this part of the movie.” He chuckles, sliding between Kirby’s legs and the coffee table, plopping down. You're quick to hide yourself when Charlie gets up, walking down the small hallway.
You frown, following after him quietly. “Charlie?” He stumbles in his steps, turning towards you. “You okay?”
“Uh, yeah… Terrific.” He nods. You glance over your shoulder, before looking back at him.
“She’s playing you.” You blurt.
“What?”
Your eyes close momentarily before you shake your head. “Kirby… She’s…” You step a bit closer. “I love her to death, but she’s not the type to just settle down,” Your eyes glance over towards the window, watching as the leaves rustle in the breeze. You smile a bit.
“I am though.”
His mouth parts slightly as he stares at you, your eyes finally darting back. “You…you never said anything.”
“Yeah. Not even Kirby knows. I just… I knew how much you liked her. It kind of seems selfish for me to even be telling you after-” You’re cut off by a pair of lips and a hand cupping your jaw. Your hands lift slowly, palms resting on his chest as he tilts your head, thumb digging into the soft skin of your cheek.
You didn’t want to pull away, but feeling slightly fuzzy and lightheaded makes you - lips still puckered slightly and slick. You laugh softly, eyes opening as you stare up at him, pushing some hair from his face.
“Sorry, I should’ve-”
It’s your turn to stop him with a kiss, but it’s too quick and has him chasing your lips with his. “It’s okay,” You whisper, nodding against his forehead. “I've been waiting a long time for that.”
“How long?” There’s a small smirk on his lips that has your heart skipping a beat.
Your teeth pull at your bottom lip before answering, his eyes watching the movement. “9th grade.”
“That long?”
“Mhm,” Your fingers mess with the button on his shirt. This is almost silly - you're finally having your moment while there was a killer running loose.
Better late than never.
“That l-” You wince feeling a sudden sharp pain through your back. There’s a sharp sound that makes your knees buckle, hands gripping onto Charlie's arms.
“Hey… Hey, what’s-” His hand lands on something wet, a gasping breath makes his eyes shoot behind you. His eyes widened at the sight - the signature ghost mask and the knife which was coated in blood. He watches as a drop falls to the wooden floor before he hears a light swoosh of the knife, which he narrowly misses, pulling you into him.
He drags you towards a door, opening it and pulling you inside. He slams it in time, dodging in time as the knife stabs through the door.
He locks the door and turns around, his stained hair running through his hair. His eyes track the blood that stains the painting on the wall from your back, your eyes dropping shut.
He falls to his knees quickly, holding your face. “Hey…Hey, no. Come on, stay awake. Stay awake for me.”
You choke on the metallic taste, the room growing fuzzier. Your pinky twitches, blinks heavy with tiredness that you never knew you could have.
He watches as your eyes close, head lolling in his bloody palms. He quickly shakes his head, muttering to himself as he pulls you close, your limp arms by his side, head leaning on his shoulder as his hand holds the wound punctured into your back.
The door finally bursts open, a scream erupting from his throat as his hair gets snatched into a ponytail, yanking him backwards and into the ground.
There’s a ringing in his ears and his vision blurry with spots. His hand slowly lifts, pressing against his forehead as his face screws up.
“You want me to make my move?” His eyes snap open, eyes meeting green ones as Kirby kneels over him, bloody knife trailing under his chin. There’s a smile that slowly creeps onto her face. She lifts up, arms lifting over her head.
“No… No, no, please, no.” It’s whimpered and his feet kicked from under her weight, head shaking.
“Here’s my move, cinema boy.” He gasps when the sharp end penetrates into his chest.

日傘 モモ
I've been writing a scene in the blorbette's backstory with Momo over the past couple of evenings. Momo is great! She's not actually a person, she's a parasol. It's right there in her name! 日傘 Higasa (Parasol) モモ Momo (Peach).
I will probs never get to play Momo in the game, because one can't have too many alts you know? They take up a lot of time c': BUT. With the power of crimes I can still take screenshots of her!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More about Momo under the cut for those interested c:
For those who don't know much about the Blorbette's backstory, aside from being trapped in a forever cycle of fixing and ruining each other, Ren and Oli are operatives of Zancefer's super secret organization. CARGO or the Curio and Relic Guardianship Operation. Essentially, Zan likes to keep tabs on powerful and interesting things that crop up in the game and generally, keep them out of Sharlayan hands so those old coots at the Forum don't just lock up all the cool shit. The Slanted Shelves is the sanctioned part of this organization. But, Zan has never really been one to ignore something just because it's unsactioned. So as a result, he gets Ren and Oli (and Cal and Leon) to poke their noses into all sorts of things they probably shouldn't be.
And that's how they met Momo! Momo is a living, breathing part of Uncle Zan's collection!
She's a character who features in a pretty large portion of the Blorbette's backstory. I based her on Japanese tsukumogami folkore. I extrapolated the idea of her from the Kutsutsura – the shoes which can take either a human form or an animal form. (In human form, they look like a court noble wearing a shoe as a hat. In animal form, they appear as a round, fuzzy thing with a fur boot for a nose.) Momo is, as her name suggests, a parasol. After her original owner was killed during the fall of Doma to the Garleans, Momo was abandoned to rot. However, thanks to her having been cared for by her former owners through generations, she acquired a spirit soon after the death of her mistress, whom she had loved dearly. Swearing vengeance, she made it her mission to murder as many Garlean soldiers as possible! And she was really good at it! (Especially if it was raining!)
Eventually, her existence became known to Zancefer. So, because he's a very busy man, he got Cyfrenne to look into it for him. This was what a large portion of her time in Othard was actually spent doing, and it's why she was living over there instead of going back to the Studium and studying for an Archonship like she was supposed to. Instead, she was trying to work out what the hell Momo was. But she did, eventually, and Ren, who has quite pale morals to begin with, became friends with the murderous parasol and somehow convinced her uncle to employ her as his retainer in Othard. The mystery of Momo was actually only solved shortly before Ren returned to Eorzea, currently, she lives in Ren's old apartment in Shirogane, and is strictly sworn off killing Garleans ( :c )
Momo is sweet, but not actually being human, she doesn’t have a very firm grasp on what’s right and wrong, and precious little care for social norms. As a result, she takes a lot of guidance from Ren and Oli on how she should behave, but she doesn't always pull it off. Anyway, I love her and I don't get to talk about the other characters that make up the Blorbette's backstory much, and I will probably be finished up with the arc she features prominently in soon, and I am sentimental about it lol. So please enjoy this random Momo lore c:

Secrets, Secrets are no fun
Tumblr media
Prompt: The eldest of the seven sins has kept a lot of secrets. Some due to duty, some to appease his brothers. But behind closed doors, they eat away at him. Especially when it has to do with the one person he lost. Thankfully, a certain human is there to listen, and to help.
Pairing: NA
Genre: Angst
TW: Sad Luci hours, mention of drinking, angst, a lot of angst, some flashbacks, Michael being an a**hole again, my hatred for Celestial Realm and some religious trauma is shown here. It’s a bit of a long read as well, so…
Tumblr media
So apparently, my brain’s decided that the big man upstairs is a jerk in the game, and now it won’t think of literally anything else. What brought about this thought? Well, I just remembered that they don’t really specify what kind of illness Lilith’s lover had had for her to risk her life and bring him Celestial fruit to heal him. What if the origins of the disease were… Celestial?
Tumblr media
It was a quiet night in the Devildom. Silence stretched throughout the House of Lamentation, where a sliver of moonlight entered through glass windows and danced across hallways that seemed devoid of life. Not a sound could be heard; even the wind ceased its merciless hits against the old house for one night.
Lucifer hated these kinds of nights.
Silence was almost unheard of in the House of Lamentation, home to the seven Avatars of Sin. The strongest demons in existence had equally strong personalities. There was never a dull day in the life of the seven brothers, neither before nor after the fall. And in a weird way, Lucifer was grateful for that. Being caught up in his brothers’ shenanigans meant he wouldn’t be left to his thoughts. For his thoughts, the eldest quickly found out, weren’t exactly the most pleasant place to dwell in.
How long had it been that way, he wondered, staring at the golden liquid that sloshed around in the glass that he held. The surface of the liquid reflected his flushed face, nose and cheeks tinted a shade of red only Demonus, and more recently, the human who’d managed to master him could bring out.
“Lucifer?”
Speak of the human, and they shall appear. Crimson eyes looked up, only to meet a pair of (e/c) eyes. Lucifer looked at them as they rubbed the sleep out of their eyes with one hand, the other holding the corners of the blanket that they had draped on their shoulders. Their hair stuck up in all directions, the sight bringing a small smile to the eldest’s face. Then again, their very existence brought a smile to his face.
“What are you doing up at this hour MC? Not wandering off to explore the house, I hope,” Lucifer teased. He wasn’t drunk enough to slur his words, but he certainly wasn’t sober.
They frowned. “You’re drunk, aren’t you?” they scolded him, and Lucifer stilled. It wasn’t the slight disappointment in their voice that caused him to tense. Rather, it was the way they asked the question. It reminded him of someone he’d lost long ago, someone who had the nerve to scold him and get away with it back when he was still an angel.
Stop it, his mind scolded him, eyes vacant as he watched them walk over to him and take the glass before setting it down on the table. They’re not her. They are their own person, and it would do you well to remember that. They are MC, not Lilith.
Lucifer felt their hand on his head, subconsciously leaning against the warmth and comfort. A low rumble started in his chest, one that could almost be mistaken for a purr. He liked being with MC.
Low chuckles brought him out of his reverie, the demon tilting his head to look at the one who dared to laugh at his vulnerable state. His eyes softened as they landed on the human in front of him.
The next few minutes were spent in silence, the only sounds being Lucifer’s occasional purrs. It was a different kind of silence, one that Lucifer found he preferred more than anything else. Just him, with a bit of liquid courage running through his veins, and his human.
A whine escaped Lucifer’s throat when the human took their hand back in favour of turning his head towards them. “What’s wrong Lucifer?” they asked.
What was wrong, indeed. He was Lucifer, the right-hand man of the future king of the Devildom. The strongest of the Seven Avatars, the mighty firstborn.
The fallen angel, the one who lied to his brothers, the one who started a war for his sister, yet lost her. The one who-
“I killed her.”
His voice sounded far-away and raspy to his own ears. Lucifer took notice of how his confession affected them. Their pupils were blown wide by the sudden mention of their ancestor, and their eyebrows tilted slightly in confusion. Lucifer wondered momentarily if he could get away with kissing them while they were like this, but shoved the thought away. It would be unbecoming of him to do something of the sort, especially after what he had revealed.
“I think you’ve had too much to drink Lucifer..,” they said, their voice fading away at the end of the sentence to watch his reaction. Lucifer shook his head, a few strands of his hair hanging over his face as he bitterly chuckled. “No, you don’t get it. Nobody ever will. I’m the reason she’s gone MC.”
Lucifer knew he must look pathetic as he glanced up at them. But there was no one in the room beside them, so it should be fine right? Just this once, he could let go of his inhibitions, he could rely on someone else, right?
The feeling of their thumb stroking his cheek quietened down the part of his brain that wished to stop; to hide away the broken parts of himself that lay beyond the fortress that was his pride. Tears filled his vision as he recounted the day he’d found out about Lilith’s human lover.
“You are henceforth forbidden to set one foot outside your room.”
“You can’t just ground me Lucifer! I’m not a kid anymore!”
“Throwing a tantrum will not help your case, Lilith. You should be grateful that Father and Michael decided to overlook your actions. But I do not condone of them.”
“But I love him-”
“Enough.” Lucifer’s tone of voice indicated that he was done with the conversation. Turning, he walked away to do his duties, heart hurting at how rashly he had to treat his beloved sister. It’s for her own good, he tried to convince himself, putting a gentle smile on his face as he met up with Michael. The Avatar of Humility, the most favoured angel couldn’t let something trivial as this get in the way of his duties.
“I heard yelling. Is everything alright?”
“Everything is fine. Lilith is merely… displeased due to the punishment I’ve dealt out.”
“Don’t be too harsh on her now, Luci~”
“It’s not harsh. And how many times do I need to tell you to let go of that horrendous nickname?”
Lucifer pressed his hands to his eyes, the pressure bringing much-wanted relief for the dull ache in his head.
Lucifer saw the twins helping Lilith to sneak back to the Human Realm. No doubt to meet her lover.
He had every right to stop her, stop them… but he didn’t. He could use this opportunity to see what kind of man was able to enchant his sister so thoroughly that she’d disobey even him.
Following Lilith posed no problem. She wasn’t even the slightest bit aware that her eldest brother was hot on her trail. It was making sure no one else blew his cover that was harder. Even when disguised as a human, Lucifer had a certain ethereal aura around him. One that had humans making way for him in the crowded market, many whispering about his too good to be true looks or his suspicious behaviour. Lucifer paid it no mind, instead choosing to pay attention to the scene in front of him.
The man with Lilith had said something silly, clearly evident by how Lilith seemed to be howling with laughter. Even in the hustle and bustle of the crowd, Lucifer was able to clearly hear the sound as clear as spring water.
Maybe he shouldn’t have been that harsh with her after all.
The human watched on, unsure of what to say. Lucifer clearly seemed to be thinking about something, something that was related to Lilith. But what could have made him think that her death was his fault?
“The day I followed Lilith to the Human Realm…” he started, and the human sucked in a breath at the pure pain in his voice. “I was followed by someone else as well.”
Lucifer brought his eyes to meet their gaze, debating whether to reveal what he had never told anyone before. After a few moments’ deliberations, he continued in a soft voice. “It was Michael. He found me while I was observing Lilith and her lover. I swore him to secrecy, but of course, his loyalty to the Celestial Realm had always been greater than his relations with other angels.”
Lucifer sighed, a melancholic smile dancing on his lips. “Michael… he was favoured by Father nearly as much as me. He went and told Him everything.”
Lucifer saw their eyes widening as realization dawned upon them. “Did He..?”
Lucifer nodded, watching from the corner of his eyes as they brought a hand up to their mouth, trying to conceal the shock they felt. Of course, no mortal would think that the highly exalted Creator would be so cruel to his own creations.
“It was Him who inflicted that incurable disease upon her lover.”
One sentence. Lucifer never knew uttering one sentence would feel so freeing. The burden on his shoulders had not lessened by any means, but now he didn’t feel as alone. “They made her choose between her love and the Celestial Realm. Lilith knew that it was a test. And she chose him.”
“The Angel Lilith is hereby sentenced to death for the crimes of stealing Celestial fruit and altering a human life.”
The courtroom was in an uproar, but Lucifer didn’t register any of it. He watched wordlessly as his sister, the youngest of his siblings, was led out of the courtroom, enchanted chains tying her hands and feet. Their eyes met for the briefest of moments, and his blood ran cold at the expression on her face. It was as if she had already resigned herself to her fate.
Lucifer had never failed before, but they say even the mighty fall.
“I failed to protect her,” he breathed out, tears slowly falling from his garnet eyes. “I failed as her big brother.”
Lucifer walked through the corridors of the prison, an unpleasant feeling thrumming through his veins, begging to be freed. He had been to visit Lilith after the trial.
He knew of their scheme.
“You,” Lucifer spat out as Michael came into his line of vision, the latter turning to give him a fake, sympathetic smile. “How is she-”
“Don’t say a word, traitor.” Lucifer had thought he’d keep his word.
Michael’s expression became neutral. “That term is best used for the one inside the prison walls Lucifer,” he said calmly, his eyes taking in the other’s form.
“Why you little-”
“Now, now. There are people watching here. You wouldn’t want to sully your image in front of all these angels, now would you Lucifer?” Michael sneered, effectively stopping him in his tracks.
Lucifer felt their pity-filled gaze on him and looked away, some stubborn part of him still wishing to hide. That is until he felt their arms around him, their sweet and unique scent enveloping him like a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer, chasing away the chill that had seeped into his bones and his heart.
And for the first time since the Fall, Lucifer let himself fall apart and truly grieve.

Ch-3: The beloved's wedding bells
Aarnika's exile made her feel grateful about the ample amount of freedom she had with herself. Only her mother cared about her whereabouts, and she never minded where her daughter went or who she was meeting. The queen trusted her daughter to behave responsibly, so apart from her motherly concern about her daughter's well-being, she was okay with whatever Aarnika did in the Kanakgarh palace. She had no problems with Aarnika going to Dwarka to attend Krishna's wedding, and had only asked her to be careful so that nobody from Mahishaka could know about her presence in Dwarka.
The palace originally belonged to the king's sister who died an untimely death after the birth of her firstborn. Since then, the palace was taken care of by some servants and caretakers until Aarnika arrived.
The Kanakgarh palace was splendid. Constructed out of sandstone, its walls and pillars well decorated with beautiful designs and sculptures that enthralled guests and other visitors. Aarnika's arrival had caused some buzz in the small city and after some time the locals had befriended the princess and would often send some of their handmade crafts or fruits from their own lands to her. As she lived alone, after managing the city affairs regarding trade and security, she would be found strolling in the city lanes talking to her people or would play with the kids. Sometimes, she also helped to solve minute disputes which made people like her even more.
The women liked to call Aarnika as Rani Aarnika, but she would politely ask them not to call her as their queen, but they never listened and in the end, she had to agree to let them call her their queen. Somewhere inside her heart it made her feel happy and proud that these people had accepted her so easily and loved her so much.
"How much distance do we still have to cover?" Aarnika asked one of the palanquin bearers.
"Half a prahar, my princess. I suggest you to to sleep inside and we will wake you up when we reach the entrance."
Shaking her head, she replied, "How can I sleep when all of you are tirelessly walking? I had told you that I would use the horse and then board the palanquin when we enter the city. Nobody listens to me."
The palanquin bearer, a strong burly man smiled and answered, "Our princess must have the finest entrance. Besides, the sun would be too harsh on your skin. We will let you use the horse in an hour after the afternoon sun redues its glaze."
She could address her broken heart in private after coming back from the wedding. Without wasting any time, Aarnika had packed some of her possessions to visit Dwarka and attend Krishna's wedding while also harbouring a secret desire to meet his bride, Rukmini too see what kind of lady she was.
Aarnika was absentmindedly tracing over the scroll. She had carried it with her and had already read it a hundred times, with each count, her heart felt heavy with the pain of losing out on a loved one. What was worse was that she could never tell him about her affections. Perhaps, her heart would have felt a little more lighter if she could tell her feelings about him instead of sulking in her one sided love story.
But do we always get the things we desire for?
After getting bored with her musings about the future and about the wedding, she decided to clear her head and heart by looking out at the view outside her palanquin. Nimble fingers well groomed and adorned with alta and jewelled rings parted the shiny curtains of the palanquin. Aarnika's eyes were greeted with a majestic view of a green landscape of hills, forests, fields and small lakes.
The afternoon sun had reduced its glare and was peacefully resting by a hilltop. The green hills lead their shadows to fall on the road. She could see some men walking near the hill, carrying wood and axes. Some women dressed in sarees upto their knees were carrying wood on their heads with one hand and the other hand held their children tightly.
She closed her eyes for a brief moment after admiring the scenery around her. It felt peaceful. The pleasant sight had also calmed her heart. Being a princess, she had understood from a very young age that this lifestyle would entail meeting other royals and eminent dignitaries. As a young teen, she was always chaperoned with her mother when meeting officials or other important guests.
A small smile graced her lips as her mind drifted to the time when she had begun living alone in the Kanakgarh palace. An eminent scholar was to visit the princess and she was freaking out as the days neared to his arrival. Luckily, she had received him well and had also learnt a lot from him along with the heavy discussion and debate they had over various topics. From then on, her confidence had increased to talk and handle people on her own, but it still did not drive away her jitters whenever she had to meet someone new.
And for someone, she had romantic feelings for, coupled with meeting the person at their wedding after so long, the jitters had increased.
She closed her eyes and mumbled, "Devi Parvati, please let me not do or say anything stupid there."
With her eyes closed in prayer and the gentle winds that were now blowing, it took no time for the princess to fall asleep. Her mind began showing Krishna in her dreams and all her fantasies she had about the charming young man, but in the end, just like all beautiful dreams have to end abruptly with someone waking you up, the princess was not spared either.
"We have reached, rajkumari ji."
She hurriedly opened her eyes and rubbed her face. Peering slightly outside her palanquin, to see Dwaraka, all her drowsiness vanished in a jiffy as the golden city stood in front of her in all its glory.
It was said that the city was far more beautiful than Indra's swarga. Large golden palaces, its walls and pillars decorated with coloured stones to light up at night. The archways were decorated with precious stones, making them gleam all day and night. With the wedding preparations, the city appeared to have decked up like a new bride. The markets, the city squares, homes, each place was buzzing with activity.
People of Dwaraka were quite fashionable it seemed. Aarnika observed how so many wore the most expensive of fabrics, even the children. Men and women equally wore a lot of jewellery. Camps were placed in the entire city to allow arrangements for musicians and performers for the soon to be wed couple.
"Rajkumari, I think it would be better that you use the palanquin. Look at how grand everything is! Your arrival too must be memorable," Sukanya said, as her eyes twinkled at all the grandeur of Dwaraka.
Aarnika smiled and asked the palanquin to be put down. Motioning for her horse, she said, "Which is why, I believe I must ride a horse. I don't think any lady would choose a horse to enter with all these heavy sarees and jewels. Besides, I also want to see the palace closely." Maybe also see Krishna once?
The servants relented and let her use the horse. The path to the entrance too was beautiful decorated with colourful flags and banners. On the side of the road, stalls were installed to serve refreshments for guests who were coming from far away palaces.
The horse trotted to the entrance gate and Aarnika who otherwise was completely taken by the decor and beauty of the city had suddenly began to feel nervous once again. So many people were going to be there. Princessee, princes, kings, queens and other high ranking officials. She was here alone with neither friend nor family.
I should have used the palanquin…
She saw a young girl dressed in a shimmery golden blouse and skirt, a loosely draped purple dupatta over the shoulder, standing at the gate with some servants who were scurrying around with flowers and seals. Krishna had sent a seal to Aarnika too which would function as some sort of identification for the important guests.
Aarnika fetched the seal from Sukanya and rode to the gate. The girl dressed in gold smiled at her and asked one of the soldiers to examine the sea. "You have come alone, princess, it seems."
Shrugging, Aarnika replied, "Oh yes, I couldn't get my family to come with me. Also, I am glad to have some alone time here. My parents won't go looking around for suitable matches, so I can breathe."
The girl laughed, her dupatta stealthily slid down her shoulder which she hastily picked up. "I feel you. I am quite young, but I too have some older ladies pestering me to look at some princes of my age who have come here to make an alliance. Nice to meet you, princess, I am Subhadra."
The princess gasped. "Krishna's youngest sister, aren't you? I am so sorry, I couldn't recognize you earlier though I did think that you must be someone from the Dwarakan royal family – my god, I should have known you."
Subhadra was the most pampered child in the family. The brother duo, Krishna and Balaram doted on their sister and so did the elders. As a child, her chubby cheeks and sweet talk won over every person who met her. The fifteen year old princess looked no less beautiful and Aarnika was sure that once she would reach adulthood, her beauty would be talked about in the entire Aryavarta.
Brown doe eyes looked at Aarnika, an adorable pout on her pink lotus petal like lips. "Earth to you, princess. May I have your name too? I might be around you in the wedding to save myself from the ladies."
"I am Aarnika from Mahi-"
"It's you?! Kanha bhaiya told me about you. Salutations to Shiva, I finally got the opportunity to meet you. Did you know I had to annoy Kanha bhaiya so much just to get to know your name like come on… your brother is writing letters to someone so late at night after such a busy schedule, with a beautiful smile on his lips when anybody else would just want to collapse on the bed. You definitely would want to know who it is.
"And by chance, I found out that he was writing to some princess. I thought he was writing to his lover or something, and believe me, I had even asked him. Do you know what did he say?"
Aarnika's heart was beating too fast. She was sure that no way did Krishna hold any romantic affection for her, but she did want to know what he said about her.
"Pray, tell me, what did he say?"
"Subhadrey, you cannot know everything. You need to let fate take its own course too. Things are going to unfurl themselves on their own." Subhadra kept a finger under her chin and glanced at the sky. "My theory is that Kanha bhaiya can know the future. He always has this knowing smile on his face, as if he knows all the secrets of the Universe."
Aarnika looked down to the ground and smiled at the chattering girl whose attention had suddenly moved towards a figure clad in a red and green garment, their feet walking hurriedly outside.
"Bhratashree, if you are trying to meet your bride, I will let you, but if you are caught, it's not on me."
The person lifted the veil from their face and it was none other than Krishna. Wearing a red blouse and a green skirt, a green dupatta partially covering the head, he turned around and grimaced, saying, "Ever the keen eyes, isn't it Subhadrey? Wait a moment," He turned his eyes towards Aarnika, "You have finally arrived! I am glad you could make it to the wedding."
Aarnika's happiness knew no bounds. She was finally seeing him again after four long years. For her, these four years were akin to four births. She had noticed that the young lord had grown more handsome. Blushing, she replied, "How could I not come, Krishna? Besides, I always try to be with my friends in their good times and bad times while totally ignoring the fact that I have only two dear friends in my circle."
Subhadra feigned a mock gasp and sadly looked at Aarnika. "You don't count me as your third then."
Laughing heartily, Aarnika shook her head. "Okay, dearest princess, you are my third friend. Happy?"
A small smile played on Krishna's lips, his eyes twinkling with the knowledge of a future only known to him as he looked at his sister and Aarnika. The latter felt his eyes on her and shyly gazed at him when he said, "Subhadrey, take care of Aarnika. She is my special guest. Now allow me to leave to meet my bride in secret. Goodbye!"
Aarnika gulped and nodded at him, painfully aware that he would never be able to be hers, the last sentence had pierced her heart once again. Huffing, she asked Subhadra, "Well, where am I supposed to go now?"
"Oh my, I totally forgot about it. Come with me, I don't think anybody else is going to come now for a while and even if they do, the guards and some of the servants will take care of it. I will personally escort you to your chamber."
**** *** **** ***** ***** **** **** *** ***
The bride and bridegroom looked as if Vishnu and Lakshmi themselves had descended on earth to marry each other again. The guests showered praise and admiration at the couple. Some even compared their wedding to that of the Gods while some commented that the grandeur had surpassed the level of the residents of Swarga loka.
Subhadra, apart from running around near the mandapam, tagged along with Aarnika to escape from the royal ladies who were hell bent to secure Dwarka's lovely princess for their sons. Aarnika, being the demure and reserved one, stood at one side, looking at the rituals and smiling at Subhadra. Sometimes, her eyes drifted towards Krishna.
He lovingly looked at his bride, Rajkumari Rukmini, the princess of Vidarbha. Rukmini looked resplendent in her bridal attire. Aarnika had no doubt that Krishna would fall in love with her at first sight. Sometimes the couple would sneakily look at each other, and Rukmini would blush when Krishna met her gaze.
"I never told you how these two are getting married right? Rukmini bhabhi asked bhaiya to abduct her. Pretty brave, don't you think?" Aarnika was too lost in her own world of heartbrokenness to hear Subhadra.
"Didi? Are you alright?"
That broke Aarnika out of her gloomy state. "Huh – what? Were you saying something? I am sorry – probably the journey has made me feel tired so early on."
Frowning slightly, Subhadra cautiously looked at her. Aarnika's eyes had reddened at the corners slightly, her fair cheeks too bore some red shade.
"Are you crying? Did I upset you?" Subhadra touched Aarnika's arm gently. Her touch caused Aarnika to shed some more tears that had pooled near the corner of her eyes.
Tear laden blue eyes looked up at the gentle eyes of Subhadra. It had been so long since someone had asked her that question. It had been so long since someone had touched her with so much tenderness. All these years, as a child, Aarnika would go to her mother for comfort after hearing relentless insults or scoldings by her father. Growing up into a woman, she realized that she was on her own. She could not see her mother's pitiful look at her each time her father demeaned her in front of everyone.
Thus, she decided that she would stand upright with an iron back, take every insult, every bitter word against her on her flesh and her heart and bring herself to achieve something great. She would build herself with the strength which her mother wasn't able to provide.
But the quest for greatness has never been an easy path. It's filled with hardships, failures, tears and loneliness. Only, hope makes the heart survive through days of toil and turmoil and sometimes the company of loved ones make days easy to breeze by.
Talking to Krishna fetched great solace to Aarnika's heart. Sometimes she wondered if it was love for him or was it her desperate wish masked in the form of love to have someone in her life who would care for her, someone who looked at her with admiration and saw what she was capable of.
Someday, perhaps, someday soon, the princess too would find her people, but not today. Subhadra was still young and was someone she had just met today to tell her about her life. And one must not be too sad at a wedding.
Smiling through her teary eyes, she replied, "Nothing, princess. Watching your brother's wedding made me teary eyed. If at all I get married, I would need someone to look at me the same way, he is looking at the princess."
"You are lying to me, didi. These are tears of hidden pain you nurse inside your heart. I am not that young to not understand this." Subhadra passed her a comforting smile. "If you need someone to listen, you can always look for me."
Aarnika blinked and shook her head at her, saying, "How are you kids talking like grown ups huh?"

We met Subhadra. Okay we need to move away from sad parts now so I will write some happy chapters soon until the great grief appears in her life again.
I would love to be pen friends with him (Krishna) lol and something tells me that Subhadra and Aarnika are going to have a great bond (story badhane hetu dosti plot)

I just finished reading "I'll See You On The Dark Side of the Moon" and my h/c heart loved it so much. Can I get the director's cut for that?
Also, I saw your tags on an anon post. I am also ace! I didn't think I'd run into any other ace Milex shippers here ❤️
Awww thank you so much! 💖 That story (and the whole Milex Big Bang experience) was very special for me so it always makes my day to hear from readers who enjoyed it!
I technically do have a 'director's cut' ending for this fic 😅 Because it was written and edited over a period of months, it had plenty of time to morph from a traditional psychological horror into a story that was more concerned with Alex and Miles's relationship and Alex's desperation to return home. This meant that by the time I got around to writing the first draft of the last chapter, the ambiguous ending I'd had in mind from day one was starting to rub me the wrong way, especially after the intensity of the events leading up to it. After a lot of internal debate and some feedback from my lovely friend who read the early drafts of each chapter, I eventually settled on a more hopeful conclusion which I still feel was the right decision.
Enough time has passed though that I'm happy to share the original ending for curiosity's sake - the only major changes were in the last few paragraphs of the chapter 😊
A soft thud rudely interrupts such pleasant fantasies.
They break apart, rosy-cheeked and breathless, casting an eye over the bed until the source of their interruption presents itself. Miles’s battered copy of ‘The Restaurant at the End of the Universe’ has slipped from its perch and is now resting precariously against the bedrails, its pages splayed open and threatening to crease beyond repair the instant they hit the floor. Alex rescues it mindlessly - just in time to spare it from slipping through the gap - and brings it closer, recognising the neon imprint of the title from his childhood.
Without really thinking, he flicks through the yellowed pages, glancing at the dense passages for only a moment before throwing the book aside, blinking away the faint stirrings of a headache.
“You okay, love?” Miles asks, seemingly out of the blue, until Alex realises he hasn’t said anything since their untimely separation. He looks over at Miles, basks in his beauty in the sleepy morning light, and can’t quite bring himself to believe that he’s real. That he has chosen to spend the rest of his life with Alex of all people, when he could have anyone he wanted.
“Kiss me again?” he asks, hoping that his desperation for reassurance is not as obvious to Miles’s ears as it is to his own.
“You’re insatiable,” Miles chuckles, but his eyes are warm and his hand cradles Alex’s cheek with a gentleness that makes him want to fall asleep, safe in Miles’s arms. A persistent beep resounds in perfect time with the pulse drumming in his ears, and Miles’s eyes glance in the direction of the snitching monitor.
“The nurses’ll be thinking you’re in trouble.”
‘Oh I am,’ Alex thinks, but he elects not to mention it. Truth be told, he can’t bring himself to care, especially with Miles gazing at him as though he’s just unveiled the secrets of the universe.
It isn’t long before Miles grants his request, kissing him with so much care and love that their surroundings melt into oblivion. Alex finds that this is a rather pleasant state in which to exist, and so he ignores his creeping exhaustion and the slowly awakening aches across his body in favour of letting his mind be consumed by the man he loves more than anything in this world and beyond.
As he loses himself in the sweet taste of Miles’s lips and the pleasant burn of stubble against his cheek, Alex finds that he’s almost capable of forgetting the way Douglas Adams’s words had danced maniacally across the page, defying all attempts at comprehension.
Almost.

Terrible Fic Ideas #12: The Accidental Warlord, The Prequel
I absolutely adore The Accidental Warlord and His Pack series by @inexplicifics and all the fics inspired by it. Nearly all of them, though, start ten or fifteen years after Geralt has become the Warlord of the North. So naturally I wondered: what if Jaskier was there from the beginning? What if Jaskier provided some of the impetus for Geralt to become the Warlord of the North?
Just imagine it:
For some reason I imagine Jaskier and Geralt meeting while Jaskier is on break from Oxenfurt, so for the first two years or so they travel together only during the summers. It's only during their third year together when Jaskier, newly graduated, is able to travel with Geralt into the fall.
Geralt is expecting similar growing pains to their first travels together - Jaskier forgetting to pack an autumn-warmth cloak, constantly complaining about the crisp northern nights, &c. He's not expecting to spend weeks tracking an unknown monster near Ard Carraigh with a habit of abducting pretty young men and women - worrying about Jaskier every second they're apart, because he's just the right sort of pretty and trouble-prone - only to discover the King of Kaedwen's awful habits.
On the night before they're meant to part for the winter, Jaskier makes some comment ("It's a shame you can't just kill the monsters shaped like men."). This leads to a discussion about how some Witcher schools do assassinations, but "That might solve this particular problem, but there's no guarantee the person who replaces him will be much better. Not everyone has a Witcher's sense of right and wrong."
The end result of this discussion is 1) Geralt decides to take Jaskier with him to Kaer Morhen, because if he's left to make back to Oxenfurt on his own he's likely to get taken by the King of Kaedwen, and 2) he decides to ask Vesemir, ‘We kill monsters. What about the ones that are shaped like men?’
The rest goes about as described in the original with the addition of Jaskier being present for most of the becoming the Warlord of the North action. Not the battles - he's very much left behind for those, pretty much alone at first and then with servants and workers and injured Witchers as the keep is repaired and turned into a castle worthy of a conquerer - but everything else. This too largely follows the course of @inexplicifics's original.
With, of course, the addition of a whole bunch of mutual pining. Jaskier has wanted Geralt pretty much from day one, which Geralt knows but politely ignored because desire doesn't mean desiring. Geralt's felt pretty much the same since the day he realized Jaskier wasn't planning to leave, sometime shortly before the Ard Carraigh hunt that started everything off. I'm not sure how they end up getting together - sometime after all the other Witcher schools have joined the Wolves, I think, all of which experienced surprise that the man who was clearly The White Wolf's Mate by scent and behavior didn't seem to realize he was (and, stranger still, The White Wolf didn't seem to realize it either.)
Needless to say, there is much teasing, and nobody realizes when they do get together because absolutely nothing changes between them.
At some time before they get together, though, Kaer Morhen should receive tribute directed specifically at The Warlord's wife, the Lady Julia de Lettenhove in the form of lovely gowns, expensive cosmetics, and exquisite jewelry. Because naturally the gossip has spread that far out of the castle. This naturally leads to much teasing, perhaps culminating in Jaskier wearing the best of it to dinner one day (and pulling it off spectacularly).
And because I can't help myself, Jaskier is first to discover that regular sex with a Witcher keeps you young. It's a secret he manages to hoard for decades before anybody thinks to question it.
But otherwise it's largely a how the Warlord of the North became the Warlord of the North fic, interspersed with a lot of how Geralt and Jaskier got their act together, the oblivious idiots.
Bonuses include 1) a northern kingdom sending a pretty young woman to Kaer Morhen to be the Warlord's concubine à la the start of With a Conquering Air. This naturally doesn't go over well for the kingdom in question, but the young woman eventually finds her footing. 2) At least three instances of Jaskier being referred to as the Lady Julia de Lettenhove in official communication, or confused for the man the Warlord is cheating on the Lady Julia with, or the Lady Julia disguised as a man for whatever reason. And 3) Jaskier's family actually being okay with all of this. (Yes, they were a little weary when he started the wandering bard thing, but as he was a younger son - indeed, younger than than his nearest sibling by a full decade - they indulged his whims. As his brother and then nephews inherit and Jaskier remains slowly aging in Kaer Morhen, his family comes to view him as a distant eccentric but loved uncle.)
And that's all I have. As always, feel free to adopt this poor plot bunny, just let me know if you ever do anything with it.

II. H I S T O R Y
TW: MENTION OF MURDER
you have been the pride and joy of your parents ever since they welcomed you to this world. as the firstborn child, you were meant to carry the carstairs name and continue to uphold the values and beliefs that the family held dear for the past centuries. you had been a promising child, of course, which made your parents proud - being part of a renowned family in the shadow world, however, the standards were higher. like most nephilim child, you grew up dreaming to become an esteemed shadowhunter, and so you dedicated your learning years - your youth, training and hoping to become just one.
at the academy, you learned so much in quite a short time. you excelled in your studies, and unlike the other young boys who went in at the same time as you, you genuinely liked learning. you spent hours at the library, reading books, learning anything and everything you could learn. it was then when you learned so much (at least, what you were allowed to) about downworlders - how dangerous most of them are, their origins or creations, and why the nephilim have always had an unstable relationship with them. for you, though, it was hard to judge them without really encountering them yourself. and so you remained curious about their kind, sometimes almost neutral to the judgment that your people often held against them.
and then one day, you had been sent on a mission. you were meant to track and kill the accused (albeit, unidentified) downworlder who had been terrorizing the southern part of the city. you were young then, and it was your first mission out on your own - no instructors to assist you, just you and your crossbow. perhaps it was the nerves that got to you first, and when you found yourself only a few feet away from the culprit, you could not bring yourself to kill it. to your surprise, this one looked just as normal as you - only, they had a rather ethereal glow about them. your mother warned you against them and their tricks, of course. but how could you kill such a thing when they did not cause you harm when they easily could?
so you went about claiming that the downworlder escaped - only, you let them escape. what's more was that you somehow managed to get past their guard, and the two of you started to meet in secret. perhaps, you were a fool - not as intelligent as you thought you were, but by the angel, you did fall in love. you fell so in love, you almost forgot that you were treading on a thin and fragile line, between two worlds that should never and were never meant to be together.
for a year, this was your secret - a secret so dark, you never could properly tell your friends about it, either. although they knew your fascination about downworlders, you also learned how to say something so serious in such a lighthearted manner. you never could tell anyone about them, and never did have the chance to for one day, they just stopped coming to your favorite meeting place. it was as if they just...vanished, disappeared without leaving any trace of their existence behind. to say you were bitter about it would be an understatement, but worse than that was you could not allow yourself to grieve about someone whose presence in your life was a secret. they would never understand - or worse, it could be the end for them.
you lived for your family, and so you could never be the one to bring them disgrace. if you were to bring your secret to your own grave, then so be it. but then a treaty was made, and with the accords signed, you wondered of the possibilities that you have always thought of - perhaps even dreamed of in the past: shadowhunters and downworlders coexisting, centuries old of animosity and mistrust set aside. but with peace, usually comes tension, and then war. maybe your hope was that of a fool's, but better have even a sliver of that than nothing at all.

Cats, Carats and Killers (Urban Tails Pet Shop Mysteries) by T. C. LoTempio #Review / #Giveaway - Great Escapes Book Tour @RoccoBlogger
Tumblr media
Cats, Carats and Killers (Urban Tails Pet Shop Mysteries) by T. C. LoTempio About Cats, Carats, and Killers Cats, Carats and Killers (Urban Tails Pet Shop Mysteries) Cozy Mystery 4th in Series Setting - Connecticut Publisher ‏ : ‎ Beyond the Page Publishing (March 19, 2024) Paperback ‏ : ‎ 182 pages ISBN-10 ‏ : ‎ 1960511556 ISBN-13 ‏ : ‎ 978-1960511553 Kindle ASIN ‏ : ‎ B0CVQWT72R There may be honor among thieves, but a long-ago diamond heist might hold the secret to a man’s murder . . . Pet shop owner Shell McMillan is thrilled to see everyone in Fox Hollow flocking to the local animal shelter’s fundraiser, where they can get their old keepsakes and collectibles appraised and maybe even sell them for a tidy sum. But the event has drawn some shady characters as well, including Pete Martin, who seems determined to get his hands on a beat-up old jewelry box at any cost. Then Martin is found murdered, and Shell has to go from fundraising to finding a killer. It doesn’t take long for Shell to figure out that the jewelry box was concealing diamonds from a long-ago heist, and that Martin wasn’t the only one trying to get his hands on the stash. But to figure out who wanted him dead, she’ll have to uncover who was behind the original heist and who knows where the rest of the gems are hidden. It’s as dangerous a case as Shell has ever faced, and if she’s not careful, her search for the missing stones will leave her stone-cold dead . . . Dollycas's Thoughts Shell McMillan owns the Urban Tails Pet Shop so it makes sense for her to co-sponsor a fundraiser for the local animal shelter organized by her mother, Clarissa, no less, now a partner at Seconhand Sue's. Clarissa has convinced Gerard Antoine, the host of a local antiques appraisal show and huge animal lover and supporter of no-kill shelters to come to Fox Hollow to appraise people's "treasures" at their Appraise for Strays event. An old jewelry box draws quite a bit of attention. It has even brought former Fox Hollow resident Pete Martin back to town which wasn't a smart move because he was later murdered. Shell soon learns about a diamond robbery that happened in town several years ago. The thieves were never caught and the diamonds were never found. With all the interest in the old jewelry box, Shell thinks there has to be a connection. But why kill Pete Martin? To find a killer and hopefully the gems she has to look into the old case which could put her right in the killer's sights. If she finds all those carats it could be curtains for her and her cats are going to need new caregivers. ____ We are back in Fox Hollow, Connecticut with Shell and her lovable cats, Purrday, Kahlua, and Princess Fuzzypants. They have a new friend, Cleopawtra. After some of the cat's hijinks, Shell finds herself right in the middle of a cold case and a new murder. Shell has turned out to be a talented amateur sleuth even though her homicide detective boyfriend, Josh Bloodgood wishes she would leave the investigations to him. Ms. LoTempio does a marvelous job capturing the cats' personalities and their humans' lives. The mystery was a tangled one with puzzling clues to figure out and follow. I was happy to follow along as Shell and Gary worked through the clues. They did as much research and snooping as necessary and had some feline assistance, but Shell is alone when the last clue falls into place and I must say WOW! What a showdown! Cats, Carats, and Killers was a fun read! Wonderful characters and an intriguing mystery kept me marvelously entertained. I figured out part of the mystery before Shell, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the story one bit. It was a Perfect Escape! I can't wait for the next book because Shell's mother already has a new idea at the end of this story and I know Ms. LoTempio will take that idea and run with it delightfully for her readers to enjoy. ‘Moving’ Episode 20: Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Zo In Sung’s Characters Find Their Happy Ending
Tumblr media
The Disney+ original series ‘Moving’ has come to an end with its 20th episode, delivering a satisfying conclusion for the characters and the viewers. The superhero action drama, based on the webtoon by Kang Full, starred Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Zo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, and other talented actors as people with hidden superpowers who fight against dark forces.
‘Moving’ Episode 20: The Final Battle
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+) The finale episode began with a tense showdown between Lee Mi Hyun (Han Hyo Joo) and Jung Joon Hwa (Yang Dong Geun), a North Korean soldier who also has the ability to fly. Mi Hyun was in danger of being killed by Joon Hwa, but her son Kim Bong Seok (Lee Jung Ha) came to her rescue and fought against him. However, Mi Hyun wanted Bong Seok to run away, knowing that the North Korean troop leader Kim Deok Yoon (Park Hee Soon) was aiming a gun at him. Fortunately, Bong Seok was saved by Jeon Gye Do (Cha Tae Hyun), who used his electromagnetic power to kill Joon Hwa. Deok Yoon then tried to escape with the files that contained the secrets of the superpowered people, but he was chased by Jang Joo Won (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Lee Jae Man (Kim Sung Kyun) to the rooftop.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) Joo Won and Jae Man confronted Deok Yoon, who revealed that he had been working for Frank (Ryoo Seung Bum), a mysterious man who wanted to use the superpowers for his own agenda. Deok Yoon also confessed that he was the one who killed Jae Man’s father 50 years ago, when he was part of a secret mission to capture the superpowered people. Deok Yoon then tried to jump off the building with the files, but he was stopped by Joo Won, who grabbed his arm. Jae Man then shot Deok Yoon in the chest, causing him to fall. Joo Won managed to hold on to the files and pulled himself up.
The Aftermath
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) A year later, the superpowered people were living normal lives without being hunted by anyone. Jang Hee Soo (Go Youn Jung) and Lee Kang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon) graduated from high school with their parents’ attendance, except for Bong Seok and Mi Hyun, who had gone into hiding since the incident. Joo Won continued his chicken business with Kwon Young Deuk (Park Gwang Jae), a former North Korean soldier who became his assistant. Hee Soo entered the university’s physical education department and became friends with Shin Hye Won (Shim Dal Gi), a girl who had super speed. Kang Hoon visited Mr. Min (Moon Sung Geun), the head of the NIS, and expressed his desire to join the agency with one condition: to clear his father’s name from criminal records. Mr. Min agreed and revealed that Kang Hoon’s father was actually a hero who sacrificed himself to protect the superpowered people from Frank.
Tumblr media
(Photo : Disney+ Korea) Kang Hoon also met the school guard and his classmate who disguised themselves as part of Jeonwon High School, but in reality they were high-ranking NIS officials who had been monitoring the superpowered people. Bong Seok and Mi Hyun left town and lived a peaceful life in a rural area. They occasionally received letters from Hee Soo and Kang Hoon, who updated them on their lives. Hee Soo also told them about a superhero wearing a yellow cape who appeared in Seoul and saved people from danger. In the last scene, it was revealed that the superhero was Kim Doo Shik (Zo In Sung), Bong Seok’s father and Mi Hyun’s husband, who had been held captive by Frank for 50 years. He managed to escape with the help of Park Il Chan (Jo Bok Rae), a North Korean soldier who sympathized with him. Doo Shik returned to South Korea and killed Frank, who had been hiding as an American businessman named Mark (Daniel C Kennedy). He then reunited with his family and hugged them tightly.

Sun Myung Moon: “the central ideas of the Divine Principle have never changed” – 1952 DP Jesus married. 1967 DP Jesus did not marry!
On February 3, 1977, during a nine-hour interview with Frederick Sontag, Rev. Moon said that although the basic content of the revelation will never be altered, he will standardize the Principle by himself and leave it to history: Sontag: “As I understand it, the original Divine Principle was oral in nature. The earliest disciples told me that they heard it in sermon form, and the disciples in Pusan said that they were with you when the Principles were finally written down. In contrast to the very earliest writing, the present book is more elaborate, more detailed. Do you foresee the possibility again of any change, elaboration, addition, or subtraction of the present Divine Principle book? Is its form fixed now?”
Rev. Moon: “The expression of parts of the Principle here and there have been greatly experimented with. But from the very beginning to the end, the basic content of the revelation has never altered. For example, in “The Principles of Creation,” “The Fall of Man,” and “The Mission of Jesus,” the central ideas have never changed. I know there are difficulties in expressing certain concepts and ideas of our philosophy, so one of my projects, which will take a great deal of time and efforts, is once again to standardize the Principle myself and leave it to history. This job remains to be done. The Divine Principle is not the kind of truth that you have a conference about, and if people do not like it, you can change it. That will never happen.”[26] ___________________________________________

From the demise of heroes to the ascent of new kings, myths and legends are as intricate as they are alluring; each society has a unique tale to tell and a unique method of telling it. A legend is based on some truths that are then exaggerated to the point where actual people or events seem "larger than life." A myth, on the other hand, is symbolic storytelling that is not grounded in reality.
The creator Imana, the creator deity in the traditional Banyarwanda and Burundi religions practiced in Rwanda, Burundi, and other related ethnic groups like the Baha in Tanzania and the Banyamulenge in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was the sole God of the ancient Banyarwanda and Burundi.
Imana, according to their mythology, was the creator and protector of all Banyarwanda and Burundian people. Imana was revered as being all-powerful and kind. In one of the legends, she broke up a fight with a man who routinely avoided paying back debts by borrowing beans from different people.
Imana was the ruler of all living things, and she granted them immortality by slaying the Death Hunter. Death was a ferocious animal that stood in for death. Everyone was instructed to remain hidden while Imana was hunting so that Death would have no one to kill or seek refuge with. But one day, as he was out hunting, an elderly woman snuck into her vegetable garden and took some food. Death scurried under her skirt and followed her into the house.
She passed away due to death. Three days after the old woman's funeral, her hated daughter-in-law noticed cracks where she had been buried as if the old woman would awaken and come to life. She poured dirt into the crevices, pounded the ground with a large pestle, and yelled, "Stay dead!" She repeated the action when she noticed additional grave cracks two days later. Three days later, she could no longer pound dirt into the cracks. This signalled that there would be no more opportunities for men to live again. Death was now endemic or always present. According to a different legend, Imana punished the woman by allowing Death to cohabitate with a man. "Interfering in the normal course of material nature" is not something Imana does.
The Story of Man's Fall
The good Imana is opposed by the dreaded and lethal Ryangombe. This myth relates to the fall of man. Imana made the heavens and the earth when he was all by himself in the beginning. But unlike the heavens, which were a reflection of it, the earth was not the same and was marked by human suffering. But when Imana first created all living things, including people, animals, and plants, they all remained with him in the heavens, and at first, humans coexisted with Imana and consumed Imana's vegetation. And if someone passed away, Imana would revive them in three days. In those early days, humans were mating, life was prosperous, and nobody died. The fall's narrative starts with a woman by the name of Nyinakigwa. She and her husband were childless, which made her sad. She went to Imana and asked him to help her have a child after giving her situation a lot of thought. He listened to her pleas and decided to give her a child. But there was a catch: in exchange for him giving her a child, she was required to keep the child's origin a secret. As a result, Imana gave birth to three children for her: Nyinabatutsi was a daughter, and Kigwa and Lututsi were sons. Nyinakigwa was content right now, and she and her family were all getting along. She did, however, have a sister who shared the same condition and was unable to conceive. She became envious when she learned that her sister was a parent. She begged her sister to tell her where those kids came from and how she could have kids, and she eventually persuaded Nyinakigwa to divulge the kids' ancestry. She then went to Imana to request that he also give her children. Imana was now enraged with him because he had disobeyed.
Knowing she had broken her promise to Imana, Nyinakigwa turned on her kids and killed them. The sky dramatically opened after she had done this and her children had been destroyed, allowing the children to fall to the earth below, where they lived in great hardship and agony. Nyinakigwa was now overcome with sorrow as she realised that her choice had caused her children to live in a place of extreme suffering. The two women ultimately went to Imana and begged for his pardon. Imana thought about their request and agreed that the children would eventually have gone through enough suffering. He then promised that they would return to him in the heavens at that time.
In a different myth, God and a man, one of his creations, had ongoing conversations. Then, one day, God instructed the man that he was not to sleep on a particular night because God would grant him a long life during that time. The man was unaware that a snake had heard what Imana had said. And despite God's warning, the man did fall asleep that fateful night. The snake spoke in the man's place when Imana approached him with his good word and his promise of a new lease on life. Because God mistook the snake for the man, he informed him that he would die but then come back to life and that he would grow old but still shed his skin. All of his descendants would experience the same thing.
The man awoke and kept waiting for God to speak, but nothing happened. Then he turned to God and questioned him about it. Imana realized at that point that the snake had replaced the man. He acknowledged that what had been done was irreversible but noted that men would now kill snakes. However, both the man and his children would pass away. The snake, however, would lose its skin and reappear.

YOU'RE ONE OF MINE NOW !
bibi's note ; bibi being a neighborhood help <3 the first time tora has ever seen her place and it takes place when he gets outta juvie for the shin accident
it was a chilly fall day when kazutora was spending a day with bibyana and she needed to run a few errands, that turned into groceries, as well as cooking and helping her neighbors
"bibi, who's all this for ? I know you skip meals and all," pausing only to mutter, "whether I like it or not..."
she let out a hearty laugh, "you'll see, we're almost in the neighborhood!" as they arrived in the area it was much noisier. people calling out to the mature adolescent and thanking her for previous acts she did.
"oh miss kovačević ! the stir-fry was delicious! I have something for you later when you can stop by!" a man that couldn't be younger then 26, and seemingly familiar to the blonde female shouted to her.
she yells back in hopes her words make it over to him. "thank you mr kobayashi! i hope kotaro is doing better! i'll try to stop by later ! this one has me around his finger <3"
bibyana squeezes kazutoras hand in a loving gesture before explaining to kazutora their relationship. "he's my neighbor, a single father, so I help with his meals."
"I told ya to call me tatsuya, sweets! my surname coming from you makes me feel old." he jokingly says shaking, as he holds his arms around his chest.
"see ya tatsuya !!! I gotta get going !" she waves, letting the younger teen pull her along. "tora, baby. my apartment is right there." she points to a building they were just passing. he muttered a sorry under his breath, turning around, still hustling to her place.
"home sweet home <3" bibyana's sweet voice fills the chilly apartment as she goes to close the widely opened windows.
"so, what'cha want for dinner ?" his curious demeanor sparks her interest as he looks around, taking in the sight of her home. his new home.
"okonimiyaki!" his eyes light up after mentioning the meal while hers soften at how comfortable he already seems.
"sure, ya wanna go freshen up? the shower is across from my room."
after dinner, she ran a few errands, tora coming along as always. visiting mr kobayashi and seeing kotaro, his son. stopping at the convenience store for her vices and checking on ms omota and taking out her trash! (she looked over bibyana when she was younger)
"oh, thank you ms kovačević! who's the young one behind you?" miss omota's curiosity getting the best of her.
"this is kazutora hanemiya, he's gonna be staying with me from now on. similar situation to mine. and I told you to call me by my given name !"
"nice to meet you young man, take care of her for me." ms omota sent them off with a few treats as they returned to the apartment.
"sooo..." kazutora started, breaking their tranquil silence, "miss kovachevich, where're you frooom?"
she giggled, welcoming his slightly butchered attempt of her last name.
"kovačević, both 'c' make a similar sound but it's different. I have origins in europe. my neighbors took to my last name easily, which im still suprized about."
"and, tora, my given name. it's bibyana." her face contorts after speaking, something akin to embarrassment? not having heard her own given name pour from her lips in quite some time shocked her.
"bibyana kovačević" he testing her full name, "I like it. suits you." keeping his real question under his tongue, behind his sealed lips, swallowing it like a childish secret. "wanna go for a ride before bed?"
"always <3" she replied.

Sonic the Hedgehog: "Andrew's Empathy for Sonic" Scene (For KatarinaTheCat)
Andrew: Bluey!
Sonic: Oh. it's just you.
Andrew: Oh, thank goodness! I thought I've came in too late. I need to warn you.
Sonic: Warn me...about what, exactly?
Andrew: When I went back to Echidna Town to inform the Council of Ebon about my travels on earth instead of calling it "your world", they've lost their marbles, Earth is off limits, there is a secret military weapon hidden in your world.
Sonic: Oh, THAT.
Andrew:{stunned} W-what?! You actually knew?
Sonic: Yeah.
Andrew: I don't understand.
Sonic: Here, Have a seat. This may take a while.
{after many explanations later}
Andrew: So, you and Shadow are...related? but you don't EXACTLY look a like? And then you guys tried to save the ARK from falling into Earth but then Shadow managed to sacrifice himself for the greater good, then he just came back? Just like THAT? That's nuts, man.
Sonic: Uh-huh. As far as we can tell, Shadow just CAME BACK.
Andrew: THAT is super weird for an Arch-Nemesis. Enemies these days, they just don't give up. They're relentless. Lancelot already destroyed everything in the temple back at my world when Dean became High Priest. He took all those lives away rather than spare them.
Sonic:{Perks up with a sad look} Whoa, dude. I..I'm sorry.
Andrew: Don't be. If anything, I'm the one that should be apologizing. If I actually foresaw what was about to come, I would've saw for myself that your world had already been compromised for Militaristic Government takeover. I should've warned you.
Sonic: I've just gone to Cosmo back then. She told us her side of the story; about the Metarex, before she--{holding back tears} well, who knows what would happen?
Andrew: I can't even imagine what you children are going through. Literally, Like I've got no concept of it. With my whole family gone, I'd had to start things over with Haily Ranna just to keep the family name from facing extinction. {snickers nervously} Never even knew my grandparents.
Sonic: After the last few months, I'm speechless.
Andrew: The Resistance would want to hear your side of the story. a power struggle is brewing in the unknown parts of both our worlds.
Sonic: What kind of "power struggle"?
Andrew: The Resistance is trying to unite enough allies from different nations of the world to stop G.U.N. The thing is, nobody's even heard of the ultimate lifeform forsaking himself to save all of humanity. It's crazy. It just doesn't happen. THIS could be the advantage we're both looking for.
Sonic:{smiles softly} Sure. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Andrew: I don't get WHY you're smiling.
Sonic: just thinking about everything that I've through after so many years, how HUGE it all feels. for the fact, it's just a small part of something much larger makes it all seem more...manageable. I don't know. But it helps.
Andrew: Sorry to rain on your parade-- That also happens on your world, right? Anyway, once they've found out that Project Shadow has been unleashed, the Guardian Units of Nations are gonna come for you guys. Believe me, when they've set their targets on the thing that they've kept locked up for 50 years, they don't give up without a fight.
Sonic: Don't worry. We'll be ready.
Andrew: I hope so. What's the plan in the meantime?
Sonic:{remains silent for a moment; starting thinking; then just smiles}...finish Highschool, I guess.
Andrew: Oh. Alright. good. Sounds good...What's "Highschool"?
