Desert sunset :-)
[ID: a digital painting n a blocky style of a desert landscape. A camel, scorpion, tortoise, fennec fox, cactus wren, and vulture are visible amongst various scrubby bushes and cacti. Rock formations form the horizon, over which the sun goes down in four “panels” from left to right. End.]

Sunrise Cactus Wren
I started this drawing on stream the other day and here is the finished illustration. I have loved birdwatching since I was a kid and I still love it. I get so giddy when I can identify birds on a trail, and so I love to draw them too!

Looking for a cactus by Todd Wynia
Via Flickr:
This little cactus wren was busy exploring Desert Botanical Garden this morning. Probably looking for a cactus to nest in. Or maybe it was looking for bugs. The cactus wren is the Arizona state bird. So stick that away in your trivia notebook 😉🌵

Here's the shirt I designed for the big Seames family reunion this past weekend. It's a cactus wren returning to its nest in a cholla cactus, and I tried to make the whole thing not too corny looking, which I think I succeeded at. The family were all very pleased. Attached also are a photo of one of the shirts, and a scan of the ink-on-paper drawing, where you can see how I intentionally drew half of the picture with inverted tones.
