Sometimes I just think about how when we get the trailer (hopefully) we’re going to see Izzy again. We’re just. We’re going to see a few frames. Of just. Izzy, standing or sitting like the small little gremlin he is, making his complicated microexpressions. Maybe he’ll even talk and we’ll get to hear his voice again. We might get his dialogue. And the best part will be that we have almost no context aside from what we have from S1. Like there is so much speculation we can do from just a few frames.

I am so excited to see him again. I want just a tiny taste of him. A little tease so I can get fucking hyped for when I get the full meal that is season 2

the way theyre so out of sync with each in where they are in the relationship (stede is 100% in but ed is hurt and overwhelmed, whereas when they first kissed ed was 100% in but stede was overwhelmed) but they're so weirdly in sync in their view of themself (ed desperately wants to be someone different to improve his view of himself but doesnt know what that is and stede is trying so hard to be different, to be his idealised view of himself - a pirate - even if that doesnt suit him) and when they move too fast theyre liable to just run away (stede to mary, ed to a fishing boat) they keep coming back to each other theyre always circling each other they absolutely love each other but theyre both so bad at dealing with it

I’ve got several bones to pick with the latest decisions of the Armorer and Bo Katan this last episode - one of them being how ridiculous it is that she can remove her helmet and walk both ways, but Din, rightful Mand’Alor, is an apostate for the same crime under dire circumstances, and went through hell to redeem himself - and it all comes back around to the hypocrisy.

Bo Katan is told she can remove her helmet, walk both ways, unite the Mandalorians. She is quite clearly the worst possible candidate for this. This isn’t an attack on her character in particular, she’s proven herself these last few episodes to have some care and honor.

In the beginning of the season, she said it herself, how the rest of the Mandos she had gathered had left her because she did not have the dark saber. She had given up because of this, changing her mind on a lot of beliefs because of this. Why would they follow her now? Why wouldn’t she even mention such an obstacle?

I think that now she feels empowered again. Now she has more of a basis to lead, with a mission from someone as important as a Mandalorian Armorer. She can unite her people now that it’s convenient. And there’s certainly some character development after she has seen the mythosaur and spent some time with the Watch - and I’m sure more to come - that she feels some sort of obligation and loyalty, I hope.

It’s similar to the Armorer and her decisions on what is acceptable and what is not in terms of the creed. What redemption is impossible, or not even needed - based off of convenience. She had let Bo Katan in knowing she did not willingly walk the Way. Knowing that her bathing in the waters wasn’t purposeful but a technicality, not even bothering to find out if she respects or follows any of the other tenants that seem just a little more important - yknow, the care for foundlings and all that?

Yes, Bo Katan proves herself later on - but not at first acceptance. The scene where she’s welcomed screams of cult tactics is all I am saying, which I might bring up in another post because there is a lot to unpack there. The point is that if this creed is law, and you start making exceptions, where is the line drawn after? Why is it alright for newcomer Bo Katan to be the exception to maybe find more Mandalorians, but Din wasn’t forgiven for considering his foundling more important in the order of tenants? What does it mean for the rest of them to now follow this creed, when it isn’t so strict in its honor?

It’s just. The hypocrisy of it all. Bo Katan, barely upgraded from outsider to Mando in the Watch’s eyes, getting the pass to take off her helmet because she’s walked both ways while anyone else would be shunned and exiled, given a task for redemption that is impossible in their eyes to complete. It is impossible for anyone else to have walked both ways, sans Din. And Bo Katan willingly upholding this duty so soon after she threw fits about how these same people fractured the Mandalorians, how it’s their fault they are all scattered. After the rest of the Mando’s had left her because she doesn’t have the dark saber.

Not to discredit what character development that Bo Katan has seemingly gone through, but past patterns only go to show that this will not last. It reads like just another quick turn around of her beliefs and morals.

#i think they’re ultimately using eachother as means to an end. we’ll see #but it’s telling. so telling just how unbreakable these supposed unbreakable rules are. crazy how the line blurs huh #cant wait for din to accidentally unite everyone a lot better. then for bo katan to challenge him for the saber #and the armorer……side eye….SIDE EYE…….#like I know they’re a cult it’s been established and as honorable as their creed can be they’re still cultists Ryan!#convinced that the armorer is letting this happen because of the mythosaur thing. if somebody starts saying how they’ve seen Jesus #the religious leader is gonna believe they’re a prophet yknow?#are my religious issues and distaste of bo katan giving me a bias…? maybe #and who knows maybe she’ll surprise me. she seems to be going through an arc of finding honor and the importance of family #but again. been there done that it didn’t seem to stick. so we’ll see #the mandalorian #the mandalorian spoilers #the mandalorian s3 #bo katan kryze #din djarin #the armorer #children of the watch #sw #Star Wars #z speaks

Oh gosh so many to react to /pos

Macaque spent a lot of time either on the moon, in the Jade Palace, or in the wilds. He thinks Wukong's sense of enviromental hygiene is appaling for a monkey with his own treasury. Is def the one of the pair who starts organising/tidying up anywhere they go. Pigsy starts yelling like Gordon Ramsey if there's any mess in the kitchen or pantry area - chef habits.

2. Nezha mentions that he's part lotus around Sandy, and the big blue softy cant bring himself to eat lotus roots ever again. Wukong stayed vegan for a long time, but sometimes a monkey needs some protein. Macaque meanwhile has infact eaten other sapient beings, granted if they were already dead.

3. MK whenever they have to go somewhere vaguelly horrifying; "This Is fine." :) Can't wait till this little guy stumbles into Diyu.

4. Nezha holds the family braincell whenever Pigsy isn't available. I love how it's 100% in all their characters; Macaque would be the type to steal a car if it helped with the situation (no matter how petty). Wukong does not fear personal injury. And MK is basically a trash disposal unit when it comes to materials.

5. Wukong is 100% a "if my knee is gonna give me chronic pain, just amputate the leg"-kinda guy. Probably thinks its acceptable to take out your body parts for maintenace. He legit jokes about it during a Jttw chapter where he has to gut himself to show up some taoist priests.

6. Pigsy. Family braincell holder, and very tired of Wukong's nonsense.

7. It took Mei and MK a while to question anything in the TMKATI au. Mei chalked her comparatively dark complexion up to Macaque or Tang, and the scales and fire to whatever Big Bro Nezha was. Kid logic. There was def a period of time where Mei just knew she wa adopted, but the parents hadn't broken the news to her yet. It was an awkward conversation.

8. Erlang is stress incarnate. That third eye gives him images he does not want to see. Just radiates stress like a salt lamp. XD

9. Tbf we are talking about a manipulative murder monkey. MK introduces anyone to Macaque and it's like;

10. I don't know why, but I adore the idea of the Spider Gang post-S3 joining up with Red and the Demon Bull fam. Red probably admires Syntax's programming skills on the Spider-Bots, and offers him a job maintaining the Bull Clones... but DBK and Red are still a bit sore from New Years so they don't 100% trust or respect the spiders just yet. XD

S3:08 TBB Thoughts

Oh how I love "cool down" episodes. Juts a few things. -minor spoilers-

They gave Omega a new costume peice. Ah! So happy for her, she is a teenage girl finally able to concive a style for herself. She's been in unforms or living out a ship her whole life and she now has a home base. And other girls her age! (which i hope they show those sweethearts again). I just don't know how anyone could hate her.

Wrecker and Hunter in Louisiana. Like their own fan boats (ok who came up with skimmers with a pod-race engine on the back I love it). Complete with gators. Also the fact that Hunter is the impulsive one now speak volumes about his character journey.

Great fight scene. WISH THAT I COULD SEE IT! That whole thing was too damn dark lighting wise to see a damn thing. Geeezz

Also meditaion, SWs is always a fan of it.

Great episodes cant wait for the later half of the season.

anywayssss holy shit new episode was wild. was SO happy to see echo again so glad he got over his screen time allergy. ANYWAYS, rampart wasnt lying!! him helping the batch is so funny despite him literally hating clones, hope maybe he comes around to them and isnt such a bitch anymore. was literally SO scared echo wasnt going to disable the sensors in time for the launch but he he did it and i totally never doubted him!! ALSO SO HAPPY THAT ECHO GOT TO HAVE HIS LITTLE MOMENT GOD MY FAV CLONE NEEDS MORE SCREEN FIME. also why was like everyone hot⁉️ the animators had NO business giving rampart that beard good lord. BUT THEYRE ON THEIR WAY TO TANTISS WOOO!! ughhh seeing omega locked in the vault tho is so sad. i have no doubt she’ll be able to get out of there but im worried about the other kids. but the batch is coming to save them so i think they all have a chance. cant wait to see hunter go all joel miller on tantiss tho‼️ anyways im so scared their like all gonna die and leave omega to fend for herself 😭

Hiiiya! Quick observation: I don't think we ever actually see Az or Crowley cry in either season. Like, the tears never quite overflow not even during/after the final 15. I read films are careful to draw crying out, so they can signal an emotional climax, soo... omg, I cant wait for s3. Can I asked for your crying prediction? Who might it be first, and when? My guess is on their reunion, but who knows... eep!

Ahhh, we ALMOST got some crying in S2... I can't wait for the BluRays to come out so we can see it in higher quality to confirm, but if you zoom in on the GIFs of Crowley's confession, it looks like he's tearing up (and many suspect he is, given his sudden stop of speaking because he sounded like if he kept talking he was going to cry).

But I agree Nonny, I want full blown tears. I LOVE happy tears or tears of incredulity in ships, and I don't think they happen enough, for long enough, LOL. I also think it will be during their reunion, and my money is on Crowley, actually. We see in S2 just how bottledd up emotionally he keeps himself, and he nearly broke down in his confession. But I think he will crack FIRST, and then Azzie, because he doesn't like seeing Crowley cry, I bet.

THOUGH another thought, Aziraphale will be the first, when he realizes his mistake, and think that Crowley will never talk to him again... As someone who identifies strongly with Azzie, I get a feeling he has a tendency to catastrophize a situation if he feels he fucked up for good and there's no fixing it. As someone prone to that myself, I can speak to knowing how utterly empty one feels when they feel like nothing will fix anything, and we tend to just... hide and cry, because admitting you fucked up is harder than hiding away.

So yeah, if it's the reunion with a confession, Crowley will be the first. If it's Aziraphale, alone, dealing with the weight of all his choices, feeling helpless and like no one is ever coming to save him again, then he will be the first, alone.

Ahhh, and now I made myself cry 😭😭
