normal brain: Ozzie, Slash, and Flea just scooped up Janus and raised him to be their lord magus, despite being human, because Janus was so powerful.

galaxy brain: The generals saw Janus use magic after being teleported to 600AD and just assumed he was a mystic/fiend too - they realized not long after that he was a human as he grew up, but they'd already put all their eggs in this one basket.

universe brain: The generals just. Never actually realized Janus wasn't human. They figured he was a fucked up imp or something - humans hadn't used magic for 12,000 years. Janus never said anything because he wanted to use them back, and he wasn't exactly about to admit he was the same species as their worst enemy. Post-Ocean Palace Magus shows up to raid Ozzie's keep for his shit, and Ozzie, Slash, and Flea are all like "Bro, what the fuck, why are you siding with humans, we thought you DIED" and Magus is all "I'm a human lmao" and then blasts them while they're still spluttering.

I had so much fun with the fabric selection and amount so I could get that really nice drape in her jumpsuit. I dyed the lining a pale green and used a semi-sheer main fabric to create that soft, not quite green not quite white color.

2010-2017 Schala had a great run, I have a lot of great memories with this costume.  It brought me a lot of joy and allowed me to express creative freedom in bringing a character to life that I’ve always admired. The costume is now mostly retired, though if someone were to ask me very nicely to bring her back one more time, I’d just need enough time to conjure a new wig as this one is trashed.
