chuuya is probably the most loyal person you could ever meet. that definitely draws you to him because not many people are like that.

you are also a good match for him because you’re able to handle his…anger issues. you hold more patience than most, so you’re able to stay by his side until he’s able to calm down. however, chuuya obviously knows he’s so lucky to have someone like you, so he tries not to get mad so much or violently take it out. he would never hurt you, by the way, but he hates you even witnessing it.

chuuya is a gift giver, and you’ll definitely be receiving many pieces of jewelry. if he catches you looking at a necklace with interest or a few earrings in your online shopping cart, best know he’ll be surprising you with a present the following week. he’ll even buy a few matching pieces so you two can have pairs!

he CERTAINLY has good fashion taste too (i’ve been saying this since this work), so you’ll always have eyes on the both of you whenever you go out together. the ginger will also spoil you on shopping!! so be prepared to buy whatever articles of clothing you want.

be careful if you tease him. because he will always win the flirting game and leave you in a flustered mess—that’s exactly what he wants.

"Shut up, Chuu," you replied, straightening his tie. As you two were getting ready for a fancy dinner party, you had been going back and forth with telling each other silly pick-up lines.

"How do I look?" Chuuya asked when you finished. You two were glammed out to the max.

"Amazing," you giggled as you stepped back to admire the ginger and his complete outfit. "How about me?"

"Super badass for sure, doll," he replied with a handsome smile. You decided to do something different and show up in a blazer and dress pants, contrasting the others who were going to wear dresses. "But hmm...something's missing."

"Really?" You walked over to the mirror in the room, observing yourself. "What else do I need?" You touched the bare spot above your chest. You still needed to put on a necklace.

"Oh! I know what." Without saying, you moved over to your vanity to pick out a piece that matched your outfit, but Chuuya stopped you.

"Hm?" you asked.

"No need to look, I have something fit for the occasion." With that, Chuuya pulled out a new jewelry box.

Your lover certainly had a good taste for all things style, just like you. When you opened the box, you were greeted by a necklace that seemed could only work with your outfit━it was perfect.

"Hold up your hair for me." Chuuya helped place it around your neck. "There we go. You look ready to take over the world."

"Only if you do it with me," you chuckled, looking into his azure eyes. "Wait. I just thought of something."

"Go on." He smirked.

"Do you have a map? I just got lost...in your eyes."

"If you were a flower, you'd be a daaaaamn-delion."

"Okay, that one was kinda funny. But not enough to embarrass me."

He took your hand in his. "Hah. I know something that will."

"Try me," you replied, with a hint of hesitance.

"Nah, I'll save it for later. But I heard you singing in the shower earlier. You're so cute. And you have a really nice voice."

"Oh..." Now, that made you all shy. Were you really being that loud?

Okay so i realised im a fucking idiot and that i’ve been sending you shit through “?” And i have no idea where those messages go through so whoopdy doo ig but in my defence i wasnt able to send anything any other way bc.. uhh.. yeah my email wasn’t confirmed n all that. Im telling u man i’m a whole ass boomer rn🤦‍♀️ can’t even remember how to send an ask smh.

Anyways i only now finished reading svs because i’ve been putting it off in favour of reading different fics (works from other fandoms and… ooc soukoku fics. Listen i hate mischaracterisation as much as the next guy but i find them very entertaining okay) and AAAUURGGHH WHAT A BANGER. The way you write is immaculate if svs was a food it’d have a savoury taste like i’d be liking my fingers n shit. I found out about it when you posted on twitter you updated it (it was the smut chapter, by the way) and i was like “huh” and decided to read it and my god am i glad I didn’t skip over that tweet.

Idk if this was on purpose or not but verlaine is kinda cringefail in your fic and i love it. I am a firm believer that as badass as verlaine is he is undeniably embarrassing and i need MORE of that.

My one criticism for svs is that we needed more adam scenes. He should have been added like really, unnecessarily early on in the fic and act as a third wheel in the fic. But like a third wheel soukoku did not want or ask for but he’s just kinda there they can’t really get rid of him. Chuuya and dazai in their divorce arc arguing and adam is in the background thinking “i could crack a really funny joke from this” (on that note i added the lines “Adam’s blabbering makes more sense now, so they act as if nothing has happened. “When I lift this veil, you will seal the deal with a kiss.” He can’t stop himself from laughing, “I hope you enjoyed that joke too.” “We didn’t,” Verlaine says from across the shrine. “Paul be quiet.”” In my “collection of fanfic lines I chuckled at” in my notes. He’s so silly i love him. I love how he laughs at his own jokes he just like me fr.)

Anyways here are like two extra svs doodles. I keep thinking about how you said that chuu can fluctuate between genders (literally) and its so… zamn.

And reading the scene where verlaine is brushing chuuya’s hair inspired me to draw this

I have no idea how long chuuya’s hair is supposed to be like idk if it’s “yeah his hair is a little longer than it is in canon haha” or “yeah mf got some LONG ass hair looking like rapunzel”. Also I don’t remember if his lil ribbon was red or blue but.. i jus went with blue and i didn’t know if the pearls were supposed to be like on his head or woven into his braid so i just went with the latter. And again ALSO i know he was barefoot but i’m not drawing his fucking dogs okay.

Verlaine is cringe-fail on purpose tho and I'm glad you saw that because I see him as an incredibly pathetic person who can't do normal human things. He would like bite open a metal can or rip it open with his hands because he doesn't know what a can opener is. He is that type of guy.

The art is just immaculate bro like straight-up BEAUTIFUL. Chuuya's literal genderfluidity is something I'm glad people like cause when I imagine divinity I think of someone not bound by sex or gender and whatnot plus I just don't think he'd give a fart. so like....world's most wonderful tits...but he's shorter.

Was in a protective mood night before last. The first is kind of an image I've had for a while somewhat inspired by Drac stopping Ericka from going into the cave and offering to go first, albiet it kinda morphed into looking more like him defending her in HT3. I just liked the idea of even though he's now the less powerful of the two him still being protective. And of course while I was drawing that the second image came to mind. Any excuse to draw Ericka being the fiercely protective badass she is, I will gladly take.

Also somewhat inspired by a pic of @bees-self-ships Cook/SI ship where Hook defends her SI.

Dazai

Dazai was looking out of the window, observing the passing scenery. He loved train rides. They somehow calmed him. Observing the fast approaching trees and watching them zoom past, was a favorite pass time of his. You and Dazai had gone to visit a client in the neighboring city, and Dazai had insited on traveling via train.

Both of you were sitting side by side, shoulders touching, as you shared one ear bud each. You were playing the music today. Your choice in songs was quite diverse. You could vibe to chaotic metal, noisy edm, soft guitar songs and  famous classicals like Beethoven's Für Elise.

Today, you had decided to play soft songs. They had a calming effect. It was much needed too, as your mission had been quite tiring.

Dazai felt a weight on his shoulder. Moving his head to the side, he saw your sleeping face. Your cheek was smushed on his shoulder, and stray hair was strewn a over your nose and forehead.

He smiled softly at the adorable sight. He gently nuzzled his face on your head, craving your touch.

He was never so possessive and touchy before. You had completely changed him. Now, he couldn't stand being away from you for five minutes. He always needs to have some form of physical contact with you. It can be as simple as a touch of your shoulders, or your hand in his, or as elaborate as a bear hug, or a gentle kiss.

It was the rush hour, so you both had to share a booth. The man sitting opposite you both kept stealing glances at you. Dazai, ofcourse, noticed this. He decided to ignore it. He knew how beautiful you were. It was obvious that a beauty such as you would gather male attention. He had encountered so many men and women that had tried to woo you. But you had always stayed with him. You loved him, afterall. And he loved you. So he pretended to not have noticed the man's glances. Unfortunately, he can't control who should and shouldn't look at you.

"Nice woman you've got there, lad!"

The man spoke up. He was looking at Dazai, trying to get a reaction out of him.

Dazai merely glanced at him, giving him a look that said 'mind your business'.

The man shifted his full attention towards you.

Smirking, he leaned ahead a bit, trying to get a closer look at you.

"You wouldn't mind being a good boy, and sharing this lovely lady, would you?"

That was it. Dazai snapped.

The man felt a cool sensation below his jaw. He looked down to find himself face-to-face with the barrel of a gun. His eyes widened, and he gulped.

Dazai leaned forward, ensuring that you weren't disturbed, and spoke near the man's ear.

"Leave before I feed your brain to the stray dogs."

His low, dangerous voice, and murderous gaze was more than enough for the man to stumble out of the booth, and run away.

The slight movement and the man's scared apologies and 'Please don't kill me's stirred you awake. You blinked, looking at Dazai.

"What happened?"

He smiled at you, shaking head, and planting a kiss on your forehead.

"Nothing, love. Needed to take care of a pest. Everything's alright."

You look at him, confused, but nod your head anyway.

"Ok."

"I love you, Y/N."

"I love you too, Osamu :)"

Chuuya

"That's the last of them."

You say as you kick a man on the head, knocking him out.

Chuuya walks over to you, admiring the large number of men you had successfully neutralized.

"That's...amazing, love."

He pecks your lips.

You try to shove him away.

"I'm all bloody, Chuu!"

He grins, hugging you.

"So am I!"

You giggled, giving in and wrapping your arms around his waist. You and Chuuya had been tasked to take down an organization that was meddling in the Mafia's affairs. When you both got to the location, you realized that there were many more men than they had anticipated. It didn't matter, though, as both of you were extremely skilled at combat, and had strong abilities. It was tiring, nonetheless.

"You did such a great job, Y/N. I'm so proud of you."

Chuuya said as he kissed the top of your head. You were the most badass woman he had ever come across, and he was smitten. Your fearlessness and bravery always drives him mad. He loves it when you take control of the situation, and effortlessly drop your enemies to the ground. Swag practically flowed through your veins.

But everybody has a soft side, and he was the lucky guy who got to experience yours.

When you didn't answer back, he looked down, only to hear soft snores.

'Did she fall asleep? While standing up?'

"Y/N?"

He says softly, only to hear no response. He chuckled at your adorable form, and picked you up, bridal style.

He began making his way out of the now ruined building, avoiding the rubble and the multiple bodies strewn across the floor. He could have flown out of here, but he was too tired to use his ability.

On his way out, he encountered a woman. She seemed to belong to the organization. If he remembered correctly, she was one of their founders. He hadn't seen her in the place, so maybe she just arrived to the scene.

"Well, well, well! Look what we have here!" She said, taking a step closer and peering at you.

"What a beauty! Bet she'd look much prettier on my bed. Don't you think so, Mr. Executive?"

Chuuya snapped. He activate his ability. The woman felt a sharp object on her neck. Chuuya had used his ability to hold a dagger to her neck. Multiple blades floated in the air, a red glow surrounding them, as they aimed themselves at the woman.

She chuckled.

"Don't get me wrong, dear! You took everything from me. I deserve a good time, don't you think?"

Her smug smirk was wiped off her face when a teeth shattering punch shook her face. Chuuya stood before her, his blue eyes piercing into her with malice and poison.

She stumbled back into the wall, falling on the ground.

He walked up to her, grabbing her hair and forcing her bleeding face to meet his gaze.

"You want a good time?!! I'll show you how great a time you can have in the dungeons!"

She spat out blood.

Chuuya bent down to her level.

"I'll make you beg for death when I'm done with you."

He knocked her out, calling for backup to take her into lockup.

He looked back to see you sleeping soundly inspite of the ruckus he had just caused. He had used his ability to keep you floating safely in the air, and allowing him to move and strike the disgusting woman.

He smiled at you.

"I'll never let anyone hurt you, darling."

He said, softly kissing your forehead.

The Voyage So Far: East Blue (Part Two)

this is one of my favorite little character beats in east blue. sanji and zeff have an entire conversation and then zeff mentions, “by the way, that kid can’t swim” and sanji is like “WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T YOU TELL ME SOONER!!” and is in the water in like three seconds flat. 

and, of course, zeff’s fond expression once sanji isn’t around to see.

we don’t see sanji smile like this too often- and when we do, it’s most often related to food in some way (like when he feeds gin, or in his wci flashback when sora says his food is good). it does things to my heart.

kind of reiterating myself from the last post, here, but usopp really does do a lot of cool things well before his water 7/enies lobby character development, just not as many when compared to his crewmates. which is his problem, really- he can’t stop comparing himself to them long enough to recognize he’s pretty cool by any reasonable metric, he just happens to be on a ship with nine of the most badass people on the planet and so his metric is completely skewed. 

anyways he shoots a fucking bomb into arlong’s face and that’s completely sick as hell.

zoro left alone in arlong park is so funny. he got nearly cut in half like two days ago, and instead of just leaving like a normal person when nami gives him the chance, he chooses to wipe the floor with all the fishmen around and then hang out on arlong’s throne. also, that shirt isn’t his. he stole it. presumably off one of the guys whose asses he just kicked. 

there’s really something to be said about nami’s expressions in arlong park. she’s clearly acting to an extent in most of her scenes prior to her breakdown, but at the same time, god, it really doesn’t look like it. nami in this arc is a really great example of reread value- on a reread, all her coldness and cruelty becomes barely-restrained pain and desperation. 

i really, really love one piece’s sibling relationships. and there might be a little bit of bias here, because i’m a big sister myself, but i love how varied they are, how real they feel, both adopted and biological. nami and nojiko don’t agree on everything, and they come into conflict more than once, but at the same time it’s plain they love each other so so much. 

bellemere is up there as one of my favorite flashback characters, together with corazon and roger. i love her a lot. 

i’m not even doing a thorough reread for this post, just skimming through volumes and picking out moments, and genzo telling nami that she’s fought well and there’s nothing more she can do still made me cry. 

nami has been fighting on her own for eight years, with the lives of her entire village and her only remaining family resting on her shoulders, with them unable to do anything but watch as she runs herself into the ground for them. this is where they decide they’d rather all die than have to see her start all over from scratch for them. 

arlong park is an amazingly written arc, and it pummels my heart in a new and different way every time. 

i really like that zoro, sanji and usopp all follow luffy’s lead in how he chooses to handle the arlong park situation. luffy waits for nami to ask for help, and as soon as she finally does, it cuts around to show that it’s not just luffy there- all four of them were just waiting for her word. it’s the first time the crew is entirely united for a common goal, and it feels really good. 

i really am never gonna shut up about usopp’s character development, huh. 

i really like the way the scene of him getting up the nerve to face down chuu is constructed- him rehearsing excuses and explanations cut together with memories of his crewmates (and on the next page, later the cocoyashi villagers as well), moments of theirs that he obviously admires. the one that hits me the hardest is him thinking of nami, in the moment she stabbed herself to save his life. that’s how he gets up his courage- from his admiration and respect for his crewmates’ bravery.

i think about this moment a lot. it’s one of my favorite luffy moments, and also one of the ones i think is most representative of him as a character. he’s such a delightful, laid-back person most of the time, but he loves the people he’s decided are his so much, and god help you if you hurt them. 

i think about this a lot, too. 

luffy is dumb as rocks in a lot of ways, but he’s pretty damn intuitive when it comes to people. he handles nami’s situation in exactly the right way, by waiting for her to ask for help instead of just barging unasked into the war she’s been fighting alone for years, and he handles this exactly right, too- by destroying what’s effectively her prison cell in a permanent, visible way, where she can see and know that she’ll never have to sit at that desk ever, ever again.

i just- i love luffy, so much. 

i talked about oda’s use of negative space to emphasize heavy, impactful moments in the last post, and this is maybe the best example of it yet in the story. look at this panel: the future pirate king, the stand where the last one died, and absolutely nothing else but empty space and luffy’s words: this is where the great pirate era began.

the theming of beginnings and endings in loguetown is so, so good, and it could almost be summed up with this panel alone. it’s at once the ending of the story’s east blue prologue and a new beginning- the beginning of the crew’s infamous reputations, of the quest for the one piece proper, of the entire wider story that opens up with the entry into the grand line. the end of roger’s era, and the start of luffy’s.

i love the atmosphere of loguetown so dearly. the thunder strike at the last moment, maybe a rescue and maybe sheer luck; the raging storm, the vow over the barrel, the declaration of dreams. i’ve said this before- there’s something so romantic about it, in the old-fashioned arthurian sense one piece uses the word. 

and we’re off for the grand line!

As the city of Yokohama sleeps, the Port Mafia didn't. Its trades and tortures didn't stop for anyway, not even the dark of night. Chuuya stood on top of a building, scoping out the situation as his partner, (Y/N), flew around the premises in her crow form to make sure they weren't being watched. (Y/N) flew back to where Chuuya stood, confirming to him this was a safe place to camp out for their desired target.

The two sat on the roof together, waiting to hear a noise in the silent street. As their backs rested on a wall, (Y/N) calmed her nerves and relaxed next to her boyfriend. "I miss chilling with you like this sometimes." she says quietly, resting her head on his shoulder. Chuuya relaxed his body as well, resting his head on hers. "Yeah, I miss this too..." he said, planting a soft kiss on her head. Their hands moved closer to each other, fingers intertwined once they were close enough. After a moment of silence, Chuuya spoke up: "(Y/N)...?" she replied with a simple 'hm?' nuzzling her head into his shoulder more. The man wrapped his arms around her, picking her up to place her into his lap. (Y/N) nuzzled her head into his chest slightly, before looking up at his face with a loving look. The look was returned to her and seeing the two in this position, you would never guess they were members of the Port Mafia.

Chuuya kisses (Y/N) softly, catching her off-guard but she quickly returned the kiss. She moved her body position, her legs wrapping his waist and her arms around his neck. (Y/N) kissed him first this time, missing the feeling she feels when she's around him. When she kisses him, she feels like nothing matters anymore; like the world revolves around them. Nothing makes her happier than Chuuya does. The kiss between the two of them became more and more passionate if every second that passed. (Y/N) ran her hands through her lover's hair while he moved his hands up and down her waist. Footsteps snapped the two back into reality, reminding them of their mission.

Chuuya picked up his beloved, whispering into her ear: "We're continuing this later. I promise you that." He let her feet reach the ground safely as to not fall by accident, after which he quickly scoped the building's surroundings while (Y/N) transformed into a crow and flew down to the city streets underneath them. The girl saw the man's face and instantly knew it was their target. Her screeches alerted the redhead on top of the building as her crows and other nearby vermins pushed the man into an ally way.

The man cursed the animals attacking him but stopped quickly when he felt his back his another person. He flinched away from Chuuya, pleading for his life: "Please! I have a family! I'll give you everything I have just let me go!" The man's voice was all over the place, his eyes showed tears forming. (Y/N) flew onto Chuuya's shoulder, transforming back into a human next to him.

"Really? Did the boss send his best agents to deal with you? What a waste of time. Akutagawa could have dealt with you." The girl scoffed, earning a chuckle from Chuuya. The man in front of the two was visibly distressed after hearing that name.

"Y-You two are with the Port Mafia!?" He exclaimed. Sweat dripped from his head like a waterfall as (Y/N) rolled her eyes.

"Let's just get this get this over with." (Y/N) whispered to her partner. She was ready to just leave the man in a ditch to die, but she knew the boss wouldn't have been pleased with that alone. The girl walked towards him and, once the distance between her and him was just right, (Y/N) smacked their heads together, leaving her with a massive headache and him unconscious. The man fell flat onto the floor as Chuuya chuckled, wrapping his hands around his partner's waist.

"Wow, I thought you hated using that method to knock people out." he teased, burying his head into (Y/N)'s neck. The girl chuckled in pain, knowing full well he was right.

"Yeah but it's fun to do and I feel like a badass." (Y/N) admitted to him as she turned around and wrapped her hands around his neck. "Let's get this asshole to the boss." she said, letting go of Chuuya with a devilish smile. The man looked at her while she walked over to the unconscious body on the floor. He was smiling to himself, glad that someone like her loved him and much as he loved her but his little moment soon ended. (Y/N) whistled at him, yelling "Chuu, get your ass over here and help me with this fatass." She had underestimated how heavy he was and overestimated how strong she was, which lead her to this predicament. Chuuya chuckled while shaking his head at his partner, before walking over to help her.

chuuya week day 2 - motorcycle

Inspired by dead apple chuuya having a hella cool bike

Please read I promise I’m a decent writer

The sound of a roaring engine pulled her from the daze her phone had trapped her in. She had been diligently waiting for her lover to pick her up, insisting he do as soon as she caught wind of some trouble downtown, not being too keen on walking to their shared apartment through a crime scene. Looking up from her device, she gaped at the sight of a slick bullet bike topped by a handsome man with sapphire blue eyes and messy orange hair. 

“Motorcycle?” He looked her up and down briefly, tossing his discarded trenchcoat at her.

“Wear this so you’re not cold. I don’t have a lot of time so get your ass on.” She slung the black leather around her shoulders gratefully. It smelled like thick cologne and the subdued flavor of red wine. 

“Please don’t crash us into anyone, Chuu.” A brief chuckle escaped his lips like honey as she swung her leg over the seat, crossing her arms across his firm abdomen, hitching her chin into the crook of his neck, pressing her face into his shoulder. He scoffed at her remark, revving the engine as if to mock it. 

“You’ll be fine. Hold on tight.” And she did, feeling the breath escape her lungs as he propelled forward, weaving inbetween traffic faster than she’d ever gone before, ignoring 90% of the traffic laws and regulations. Luckily, there weren’t very many other vehicles, the dead of night being a catalyst of this. The glare of skyscraper lights reflected off of his motorcycle cleanly, and wind rushed through her ears vehemently as she cinched her fingers into his silky shirt. He had left in the middle of work to come pick her up, delaying a mission to ensure she made it home safe. 

Minutes passed and before she knew it, they were approaching the scene of her fear. Chuuya slowed to comply with the speed limit, attempting to avoid unnecessary confrontation with police force. The trenchcoat that was billowing and whipping around her aimlessly before fell calmly around her form, and she tugged it around her tightly. The scene was dancing with red and blue lights, the cops shoving a man into their vehicle. A splatter of something bright scarlet- blood, she assumed- was covering a portion of the ground like broken glass; she felt bile build up in the back of her throat at the grisly sight, but a shy question escaped the bounds of her tight throat. 

“What happened?” His face remained stone cold, refusing to answer her question. “Chuuya? Do you know?” Being affiliated with the local mafia had it’s perks, and information was one of them, positive or not. 

“An ability user was murdered… by their own ability we think.” That’s all he said on the matter before they had started speeding up again, racing towards their apartment complex. 

They arrived shortly after, and she stepped off of the bike with shaky legs and wind-mussed hair. 

“Ahhh… I don’t know how I feel about jelly legs.” She complained to the latter’s amusement. 

“Too badass for you?” She could hear the smirk in his voice. 

“Don’t flatter yourself,” She teased lightly, punching his shoulder, “You may be in the mafia, but I know you’re a soft baby with a cuddling addiction.” Humming affectionately, he propped his bike up and walked her to the door. 

“I’m pretty late back.” Staring fondly into his whirlpool eyes, she twisted a lock of his vibrant hair around her finger. 

“I wish you could stay.” He responded to her affection by touching her face, the other hand sliding down to the small of her back. 

“You’d be safer if I stayed. Promise me you’ll call if something happens with that scene down the street.” 

“I will.” His eyes flicked down to her lips with every word she spoke, fingers rubbing circles against the fabric of her shirt. “You should probably go.” He remained silent before dipping down quickly to press a hot, open mouthed kiss to the center of her mouth, relishing in the feeling before pulling away tentatively. 

“I’ll be back tonight.” 

“Of course.” Adjusting his hat, he stepped back towards his motorcycle while she pulled the jacket from around her shoulders, handing the folded fabric back to him. “Be safe.” The look he gave her bled longing and desire, but knowing his duty, he simply nodded his head, kicking off the curb and speeding back into the night.

[ friend 1 ] points out a strange walking person from afar. the person all ripped up, like someone from a movie scene. you look up to see many more of them, even seeing one if your school friends running away, one of them running after them.

that's when it hit you.

this wasn't anything normal.

this was the start of an apocalypse.

you and your friends scramble to stores, getting as much food and supplies as you can. your group decides to run to your parents house (because your house has the most food and an extra car, dw you have your license) when you guys get there, you all scramble inside, throwing all the food in a bag, getting money and the keys.

you look for your parents, but they were nowhere to be seen. their cars were still here.. you couldn't help but break down, one of your friends helping you. "(y/n) it's okay, they'll be okay even if it means they're here," [friend 2] comforts you, gesturing around you, "or in heaven."

you stop crying and put on a determined face,

"okay, let's go."

Whenever Heejin and Chuu are in the same radius, something just goes off, and chaotic flirting happens. Trying to outdo each other, and exchanging light hearted giggles and kisses.

Hyunjin knows she has no reason to be so jealous, but how could she not when her girlfriend was still wearing her shoot clothes, looking like a total badass.

Huffing, Hyunjin tried to distract herself with her phone. If she didn't look, she would feel the urge to get up and make a scene in the breakroom. Just tune them out.

Of course that didn't work out to well when a few gasps were heard around the room. When she looked up, she saw a wide eyed Jiwoo, covering her mouth and a sheepish, yet smug Heejin.

"You actually kissed me-"

"You moved your head-"

She didn't plan to storm out, but that's exactly what happened. She heard Heejin calling her name, but she ignored it. She needed fresh air or she was going to scream. Hyunjin didn't even make it outside before she felt her hand being grabbed, and she knew exactly who it was.

"Let me go."

"No, youre upset with me."

"Heejin..."

"It was an accident, we were joking around. Please trust me, Hyunjin."

How could she not trust her girlfriend, she trusted her the most with everything. Even if she didn't personally see it, it still hurt to think that someone else kissed Heejin.

"I do trust you, but please let me go. I need air." Heejin let her go, but didn't leave her side. She didn't want things to be awkward, she wanted them to talk about it. "I think you understand why I stormed off."

"I do." Heejin nodded, both of them looking out, it reminded them of the music video they shot in Japan, when they eye still strangers to each other. Before they officially debuted at 12. It was just the two of them. "It won't happen again. Watching you storm out, it was scary."

"You think I'm scary?" Hyunjin tried to tease.

"You're a teddy bear, but the idea of hurting you was what scared me the most."

the more i think about it, the less i think jaden jeong is a genius lol. i mean i already mostly stopped thinking that but like... like people say he’s responsible for scouting the members and putting them in units and stuff and we all love the units but.. we like the units especially because of their chemistry with each other as people, but if you’re looking at a pool of dozens of trainees and you want to choose twelve to arrange in three units with three different genre-scapes.. like... some of the choices are odd lol

we already knew that a lot of the predebut process was made up as it went, and we know that not all 12 members were selected ahead of time. like even by the time of at least yves and chuu debuting, olivia hye wasn’t even there yet. when she said that she was a trainee for one day, that doesnt mean she only practiced for a day with no prior experience and nailed it immediately, that just means that she was only an official blockberry trainee for a day, and even that is kind of obscuring the truth lol. it just means that blockberry was panicking trying to find someone to be the twelfth girl and none of their existing trainees were cutting it, apparently, so they scouted this member and took a chance on her. it’s not like they hired her normally and said “actually you’re ready to debut right now, let’s do that”, it’s probably that they were looking for someone who was already ready, and the reason it took a day is cause they had to take the teaser photos and get her ready and stuff lol. 

anyway that begs the question... why didnt bbc have that figured out in advance? we love olivia hye so it definitely worked out, but you know... what if it hadnt? why didnt they use any of the trainees that we know they had during the 1/3 and OEC debut eras... 

we know some members were there for a while before they debuted. jinsoul was there, and also choerry was a blurred trainee when heejin was in a loonatv covering let it go (i think? or was it haseul covering vivid? lmao idr). we all are pretty sure that yeojin was intended for 1/3 and vivi was intended for OEC, but they had to rearrange things at the last moment, leading to vivi debuting with 1/3 before her solo song, and yeojin not ending up in a unit at all (though she’s been taken in by OEC and if loona ever returns to subunit comebacks i really hope frog eye circle is a thing). but also like... was choerry a candidate for 1/3? love cherry motion was definitely written with her in mind since it plays on her stage name, but she was there well before OEC, she’s one of the trainees who was with bbc the longest, around the same time that haseul joined but after heejin and hyunjin i think. was love cherry motion originally just the upbeat pop parts and didnt have that OEC drop, and they had to rework the song once it was decided she would be a part of that instead of 1/3? 

and like none of the yyxy members were there for any 1/3 or OEC era stuff, cause if they were, wouldnt yves have been chosen for OEC? i mean come on, it’s a no-brainer lol... and if chuu was there, wouldnt you have wanted to pair her and lip together just like 2jin, to highlight their friendship? 

i think things worked out, and i wouldnt change any of the units now, except for adding yeojin to OEC lol. i’d be okay with new additional units with new names, but as for these specific units, i wouldnt want to change them. but the vibe they have due to having the members that they do is probably different than what bbc had in mind. OEC is lighter with the presence of choerry (and yeojin lol, cause like when they break up into groups of four for things like vlives, of course yeojin’s with them. she’s in the same room as them too), yyxy is darker with the presence of yves, yyxy is calmer and more mature with the presence of vivi.... 

like if 1/3 was heejin hyunjin haseul and yeojin then they’d be more quirky than sensitive, even with around you and let me in in their discography. but with vivi and haseul together, their vibe becomes the dominant vibe of the unit, i think. 

when lip jinsoul choerry and yeojin are together, the vibe is chaotic and rowdy mostly due to choerry and yeojin bringing out the weird side of jinsoul haha, but if they were lip jinsoul vivi and choerry, possibly yves too somewhere, then the mature dance music side of the unit would be highlighted more, and seeing them together would be a little less energetic and more... cool 😎

when yyxy are all together, the vibe is actually the most chaotic, cause they all both have nothing in common with each other and also somehow sooooo much in common with each other. both things are true. i hate these dorks lol. i love them. i cant say who could have been in the unit instead though... because like, since all of them were brought on later, like, we dont know the other bbc trainees who were considered for it initially. i think the vibe they were going for with the solo songs could be highlighted well by a member like jinsoul (with her actual personality, her goofy quirky personality instead of the badass thing they had her do in OEC lol... i’m talking about black-hair jinsoul not blonde jinsoul haha), but i dont really know. 

again, to reiterate, i love the vibes that the units currently have. i just think its funny that this probably wasnt what jaden had in mind, and it didnt go according to his plan. it’s better this way though! i really hope there are subunit comebacks one day, with music and concepts made by people who really get what each unit is like now that we’ve been with them for a long time. an OEC comeback that captures the fun of their personalities, like girl front but multiplied by ten. a 1/3 comeback that maybe delves a little more into their serious sides, more like sonatine than love&live i suppose, but with the mood of a sweet crazy love or something. for yyxy i would kinda want something like so what, actually haha. something noisy and dense, and charismatic too. chuu can handle that, lol. i think all the members were able to fit their solo song and unit songs well, theyre very talented, but for some of them maybe its not where they would have shined the most, you know? maybe something made more with them specifically in mind would sound different from their predebut solo/unit songs, but sound even better because of it. you know? i hope so anyway
