good and bad

Kensington grabbed one of the many pre bagged ice bags in her freezer and used one crutch to get over to her couch, she gently set down and put a pillow under her knee and set the ice pack on top and leaned her head back on the couch letting out a long sigh.

It’s been hell for her the last few months and her knee wasn’t getting any better but not any worse, truthfully it was her choice to continue to keep playing and she has being having an amazing season even it she’s in pain every day.

 Kensington knew she wasn’t playing her best but she was playing good enough no one really noticed, she just didn’t go to any of the practices that were mandatory and did a lot of weight room for her upper body and a lot of physical therapy sessions.

She can’t say her whole year has been bad because it hasn’t been all bad, she’s gotten really close with the team and their families especially as the team knew about her injuries and they were all helping her a lot.

Kensington switched most nights between Sideny’s, Kris and Geno’s houses as their wifes/girlfriend wanted to make dinner for her, Kensington didn’t mind at all.

Kris and Geno both have kids who all adore Kensington and it really lifts her spirits spending time with them and Sidney and Kathy treat her like their kid and Kathy just adores Kensington.

Braden also joined her most nights for those dinners, the two are both in their rookie years and have become closer, they share a room and sit together on the airplane.

Kensington let out a sigh as she looked at her phone, she knew she hasn’t been the best person the last few months. Barely responding to anyone and keeping most responses very short. She has denied a lot of times for her parents coming to see her because she knew she would have to tell them about her injury and it would make it real.

She did get to see her brothers slightly after they played against each other and she had dinner both games and they were short dinners so it wasn’t hard to avoid saying anything about her injury.

Kensington hasn’t seen any one of her boys since she played at boston in the beginning of November. She couldn’t see them during their christmas break as they were heading to the WJC, and she didn’t play any other games at Boston. Kensington hasn’t gotten to see her boyfriend and best friends in months.

Kensington knew once the season was over she was going to have to go through a lot of conversations and tell everyone what’s been going on.

Pacific Sea Nettles (Chrysaora Pacifica) are the most abundant sea nettle jellyfish in the BC coast

(According to someone in the San Francisco Warf Help center, it seems to be the same deal for San Francisco too)

The Oldest Sea Anemone in captivity is named Big Bert, who is 67 years old (She's been around since the aquarium first opened). You can still touch her on certain days (when she's not resting). Corals do not senesce, and can live forever if taken care of properly

The best places to go to see jellyfish in Vancouver are Boubdary Bay and Jericho Beach (especially Jericho Beach).

Will let out a long breath as the call didn’t go through to Kensington once again, they have barley talked the last few months and when they do actually talk both of them are so busy there’s barely any time to talk and Kensington has been off lately seemingly distance.

Will hated how he didn’t know what was wrong with his girlfriend and he hated how he wasn’t sure what to do to make everything better.

Will has been itching to just get on a flight and show up at her door and finally see her in person but he was to afraid with the chance if they see each other and Kensington breaks up with him.

He didn’t even think she loved him anymore and was to nice to break up with him.

January 10, 2025

Will walked to his apartment door and saw the mailman, “Will Smith?” The guy asked and Will nodded and the guy handed him two box’s.

Will smiled at the guy and shut the door brining the boxes to the kitchen and grabbed a knife and started opening the rectangle box first.

Will saw was marigolds, Kensington’s favorite flower, he gently took out the very large bouquet of flowers and smiled softly.

Will gently set them onto the counter and opened the other box and saw it was pretty stuffed, he first pulled out a pile of clothing items, he first saw another Kensington jersey in the color he doesn’t have yet, and a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt that smelled like her perfume, he set them onto the counter.

He pulled out the next little bag and saw the bag was filled with all of his favorite candies.

Will pulled out the next thing and it was a frame of Kensington and him during the summer both of them smiling brightly at the camera and Kensington all wrapped up in his arms, Will gently traced his beautiful girls face before gently setting it onto the counter.

Will smiled softly seeing a new jelly cat and it was a blue bunny and he noticed the white ribbon tied on the ears as little bows and he knew Kensington did that.

He picked up the card at the bottom.

Will felt his stomach drop as he realized what this was all for their one year anniversary. that was today.

“Shit.” Will cursed running a hand in his hair he can’t believe he forgot and his girlfriend who he thought didn’t love him anymore did not forget. Will knew he was wrong and he was an idiot for thinking that Kensington didn’t love him any longer.
