happy new years to everyone, but especially these two and their meddling dragons!
and a lil new years message is under the cut!
i wanna say thank you for the all the kindness i've received in the passing year from all of my beloved mutuals and followers. the fact that ya'll have stuck with me through all my fandom hopping and droughts in art uploads means a lot to me. it's been very encouraging to see how much people enjoy my work, along with all the sweet comments people leave in tags, and it really helps motivate me figure out how to do my art full-time. i have a lot i wanna do this year, ( like build my portfolio so i can finally pursue professional work, ) so i hope everyone will continue to support me going forward! 🥳✨

I love your Diana so much but Please🥺 give her body hair 🥺
The lack of body hair had been a conscious choice originally because I wanted her skin to seem more like clay than animal (thus all the texture too). However the moment you sent this I went 😳 omg hairy Diana 😳. I am a firm believer in Diana having a lot of body hair in other interpretations, and I’m going to experiment over the next while to see how I can a) better render her skin to be clay-like, and b) see if body hair works.
But in the meantime, have some hairy Diana! ❤️

You are somehow so so good at drawing expressions idk how you do it but good job
ohhh thank you. its one of my favorite things to focus on in my work! a lot of it is spending time observing how separate features express different emotions on their own (eyebrows being raised/narrowed, etc) and then figuring out which combination of those individual features would best translate the emotion im looking for across to the audience. does that make sense? idk
even things like face angle and distance/perspective can also help to set the emphasis on it so like the character can be drawn smaller in a panel with more empty space around them to help amplify like, stunned surprise (in this example) as opposed to a more close up view to show more intensity. it works outside of comics too

And yes baby, they are making a return next year!! And offcial date for the return of my comic XD
Here's my little Christmas gift to yall, as I've been a bit quiet about my comic lately, but do not fret! It is nkt canceled or discontinued. This fire is still going!
The comic is planned to go back to it's once a month schedule, but hopefully the wait will be worth it :>
It's already Christmas for me rn, idk what time it is for yall, if Christmas is over or barely even started, but either way, merry Christmas to yall, or just happy holidays if Christmas isn't something you celebrate hehe

I’ve realised I have two main art styles, a cartoon style and a more (kind of but not really) semi-realistic style. I wanted to try comparing them to see what each look like when drawing the same character and how could I not choose scarecrow
