I'm 35, have a BA in Psychology, Mc's in informational sciences, worked in the hi-tech industry for 6 years as a Sourcer (HeadHunter). Love the research, hate the managers and meetings. Now I'm about to start a small soapmaking business, to live a nice slow life. But, I do realize I have to do something else in order to pay my bills, and I thought about content making...and it's kind of embarrassing, like.. I'm not 16, I studied, had a career, worked for very nice companies, I do love to read ...and...that is what I'm doing with my life? I have a few hobbies, I love reading, makeup,cooking, travelling, but it seems so stupid just to see myself telling it on a camera...and, of course, what my ex-colleagues would say? she went nuts without a job? I know it's stupid, but I as a cynic human being myself can actually hear what they would think of me, cause I would think it about someone doing it. It's a bit humiliating. From the other hand, I do like makeup (and books, and traveling, and cooking) and I would like to talk about me (for a change). Today I catch myself really going passive aggressive about my manicure master that started to tell me things about me. Without me asking her, like, people don't mind to tell you what to wear, what to think, what to eat ? And I'm like always thinking about not to be overwhelming, to make sure we talk about interesting topic for a second person, but it seems no one cares the same thing about me. So, yea, maybe to make this content it is a challenge to put myself out there and fuck them all?to tell my truth? it certainly takes amount of courage to put yourself out there, and I'm more on a shy person side, but I just so tired of people telling me what to do and how to feel, what to wear and etc. If anyone here, WDYT?
