REBELS JEDI TEMPLE GUARD UPDATES / Challenging fun begins!!
Well well, I will not get my custom made boots I ordered from the boot maker, till after I get back from my trip to the con. I am going in 9 days time, what to do??? Make your own!
The above 7 photo’s detailing my rushed weekend alternative to having no custom made boots. I did not grumble too much.. Wink.. In fact I actually employed my costume design education into full use, after dusting the rust off my fingers and the how too drape - then make a pattern. ( Not so easy.)
Two days and two rug burned knees later, viola! This is what I have come up with, ( see photo’s above )
Still yet to finish them, I’m 3/4′s the way through, and feeling way more relaxed as ‘I will’ now have a pair of RJTG boots... Feeling smug.
Just another glitch in the matrix of my plans.
Now that I think about it, everything happens for a reason in the end and I have to say, I’m really enjoying the process!

Let's now talk about those boots.
They were pretty simple, really.
Purchased a pair of knee high boots from ebay and cut the toes, heel backs and tops of and saved the material.
Using the cut material I sewed the belt supporting flaps for each one.
I sewed the top supporting flaps to the tops of the boots.
it took me two years to find the right rectangular studs for her boots.
You can find them here: https://www.studsandspikes.com/stud-rectangle-small.html
With the studs in place it's time to put in the belts.
Took a while to match the color and texture of the boots to some vegan leather but I did it and stitched the belts.
Almost forgot the toe flaps! Also made from the scrap material from the boot tops.
There was a stitching line up the middle of fang's boots. So using a back stitch I stitched a line up the top of the boot to give this appearance.
Next I made some finishing strips for the edges of the toes. Sewed those on and added the toe flaps as well as glued some more vegan leather to the edge of the soles to give a finished look.
Same was done to the heel backs.
Using a button hole stitch I made the slits for the belts to slide through.
Sewing the buckles onto the boots, I slid the belts through the supporting flaps and there you have it! Finished boots for Fang!

Me and my school went on a surprise trip to Disneyland. I had cosplayed Puss in Boots to school that day and my friend had accidentally cosplayed Ramona Flowers, while knowing nothing about Scott Pilgrim. I wanted to cosplay Ramona so we looked all around to find a bathroom to change in, but we couldn’t find one.

Thanks to a bit of help from Raven's Leather Designs I was able to make the upper arm bands.
Anarchy Girls also helped purchase the boots.
