First Impressions
Isn't it interesting that before Do-young and Dong-soo speak another word to each other they study the other's hands? At first I assumed that it was to show them both fidgeting, but we're not here for face value interpretations so let's dig in a little deeper😏. From the very moment that we're introduced to Do-young he is holding a baseball, something that is very symbolic with his past and identity. After all, we literally just saw him use it to kill a fly a few seconds ago, an indication of the killer instinct that he showed even when he was younger. But in this awkward moment of silence Dong-soo is seen caressing his wedding ring, a symbol of his marriage and love for his wife, which we see later in the episode when he threatens her co-worker for sexually assaulting her. These two items are very important to our characters but why does it intrigue the other? Perhaps we'll see Do-young use Dong-soo's martial relationship to to lure him away from his morals and deeper into his corrupt world? Perhaps, we'll see Dong-soo adapt Do-young's violent antics as he progresses up the criminal ladder? I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Also why are people hating on hyun woo like it's his job to unconditionally love hae in when she has been emotionally unavailable in their marriage for so long? You can consistently see that he's always the one reaching out when things are happening while she defaults to an icy exterior first leaving it for him to figure out what she is actually feeling.
If he doesn't communicate well she's even worse at it but that's the point of this story they need to work that out and the writer is doing a good job of showcasing how these characters have valid feelings in their own right.
The way ppl are dumping on hyun woo's experience and feelings seems to be because he is a guy and that's just giving me the ick like please.

Doyoung just set up a date to compliment how good he looks in a suit. Well I definitely know what was going on in the writer's mind. It is always the thriller or crime dramas that have the most gay plots, it is not even hidden anymore.
From "you look better without glasses" to "it suits you well" Doyoung is taking all the leaps.

THE FLY
I find it interesting that already in the first episode we're getting a common thread between Seo Do-young and Han Dong-soo, something that gives an insight into their morality and nature, in this case being how both of them react to a fly.
In Do-young's case, he immediately throws a baseball at the insect after noticing its presence. Now what's interesting is that the fly had not been buzzing around or causing a distraction, yet its mere existence irritated Do-young so much that he sought to kill it.
His ease and lack of hesitation to kill the insect shows just how apathetic he's become towards death and maybe even murder. It could also forewarn how he treats those that get in his way or even those that become a vexation.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Dong-soo treats the fly with more patience - he gives it a chance. We can tell from his expression that the fly is an irritation to him, yet he opens the window to let it out, giving the insect a choice, one it doesn't take and this is where we see a shift.
Tumblr media
At first he tries to smack it away, a failed attempt that spurs more irritation. Then he tracks the fly's movements before pouncing and catching it in his hand, an action that resembles a predator hunting its prey.
Tumblr media
This is enforced when we see him tightening his hold on the fly, squeezing his fingers so much that we see them redden. Why does he do this? Catching the fly was enough, that probably even killed it. Yet something spurs this action, someone...
Do-young.
In this moment we get shown the scene where Dong-soo refuses Do-young's offer to work for him stating that, "There's a line I shouldn't cross" to which Do-young replies, "A line? There is a line to cross. You haven't seen the bottom enough yet...Does this hurt your ego? Then keep on living pathetically."
Clearly these words rattle Dong-soo and what follows is the savage murder of this insect at the hands of someone who had just sworn that there he would never cross the line. And yet without even being in the same room as him, Do-young has already started to influence/bring out the worst parts of Dong-soo, he's made him cross that line and soon he'll see the bottom.
Tumblr media
Funnily enough, after both of these characters kill the fly, residues of it remain on their hands, evidence of their actions tainting their skin, marking them both with death and binding them through a shared sin - murder - perhaps the first of many.

Woojin being fond and exasperated but unfazed by and even proud of Gunwoo’s “heart of a boxer.”
Tumblr media
These two really. Their relationship is truly something to die for. Woojin unconditionally supporting Gunwoo’s decision. That soft, knowing smile, knowing that Gunwoo did not and would not betray his ideals. Knowing they deserve to have that money after everything they went through but still being fond and unsurprised as Gunwoo turned it down.
Recall, this is the same guy who risked his life for money inside a safe because there were “billions on the line.”
Tumblr media
These two I swear.
Everyone go watch Bloodhounds! You won’t be disappointed.

Lee Do Hyun Crying Scene (The Glory)
youtube
Lee Do-Hyun crying in his expensive car w/ his expensive watch on his wrist is my sexuality now.
But seriously (on a more serious note) he's such an amazing actor, be it in The Glory, The Good Bad Mother and 18 Again he did such an amazing job. I think he's super underrated and with the acting skills that he showed in this scene - along with the scenes of the last episode - he would be perfect as the ML in a drama/crime/thriller
