cSapnap going out for an adventure with cDream and coming home to an empty house - not knowing that cBad and cSkeppy were out getting groceries and thought they’d get home before him. He thinks they left and completely breaks down crying and crawling into his dad’s bed for comfort, feeling left again and he doesn’t know why.

of course cBad and cSkeppy get home an hour later and are horrified

I've decided that blind post-prison c!Dream is every bit as badass as canon post-prison c!Dream.

This time, Sapnap wasn’t going to let him get away.

Dream was half-running, half-limping across the field, fully kitted out in new netherite. The terrain was entirely in Sapnap’s favor; easier to pursue with nowhere to hide. He was gaining fast.

“Turn around and fucking fight me!” he called.

Dream did not turn around. If anything, he ran faster, practically tripping over himself—until his foot snagged something and he came crashing down. Sapnap was on him in an instant, cracking Dream’s head hard into the ground and shattering his mask as he wrestled for control of his axe.

Pinning Dream’s arm under his boot, Sapnap wrenched the handle from his grasp, wielding the blade high above his head, breathing hard.

And then Dream looked up at him, and he—stopped.

Dream’s eyes may be wide, but they weren't seeing. Twin scars ran down the sides of his face like railway tracks, slicing through iris and pupil, straight down to his chin. Sapnap’s heart folded in on itself.

“What the fuck,” he breathed.

Dream jerked up—a desperate grab for the axe—but Sapnap slammed him back down. Dream’s face was a horrible blend of fury and pain and terror, but all of that quickly melted away into a manic grin, a laugh bubbling up from low in his throat. “Something wrong?” he wheezed.

Sapnap tried to summon the rage that had fled him. “What the fuck happened? What�� Tell me what happened!”

“Ooh, that’s— Look who suddenly cares.”

“Tell me, Dream!”

“Why should I?” Dream spat, and there was nothing behind it but venom. “I mean— to be fair, it's pretty obvious. What— are you blind?”

Dream flinched hard as Sapnap brought the blade down to rest against his throat, but the grin remained—even if its sincerity flickered.

“I'm not fucking kidding, Dream,” said Sapnap. “What game are you playing? What did you do?”

“You’re not gonna kill me. So why don't you just hurry up and let me go, so I can— like, figure out how to get home.”

“You don’t fucking know what I’ll do. You don't know me, Dream.”

“But I do, though. I do. I always have.” It was spoken with the certainty of one claiming that the sky was blue. “We’re friends, remember?”

Late into the night, when Sapnap was back in Kinoko, he would find it in himself to hate Dream again—to hate him because he was right—and to hate himself, for so monumentally failing his brother.

This time featuring Gild (cpunz) of the icewings and the current design for csapnap, leaning towards calling him brimstone atm.

Sapnap is a Skywing-Nightwing hybrid and I'm working on the details but he technically has a form of less extreme firescales!

I honestly love the dynamic between these two and that they're sort of foils to one another especially later in the story.

ok and another thing: adult demons tend to be between 8 and 10 feet tall, are well built and powerful, with long, sharp tails

cSapnap is just over half the height of an average demon, he has the power and muscle but it's nothing compared to other members of his species, and his tail is thin and small and missing it's necessary sharp barb at the end. He's a certified Little Guy.

Part of this is from him being a runt, obviously, but runts that end up living are usually at least 7ish feet tall. His growth was halted weird because he was removed from the nether too early and kind of came out half-baked in a sense. Demons breastfeed their young for a long time too, and so he missed out on a lot of the necessary nutrients he needed to get larger.

(cBad and cSkeppy probably fed him with some weird diy formula. because idk if cBad can breastfeed a baby. he might tho idk demon biology)
