Mohamed El Muqrani is a prominent Algerian figure in the resistence against French colonialism in its early stages, the book cover attracted me right away, maybe because of its color or of how rustic it looks <3 either way, i have a feeling it'll be awesome read.

On the left are two traditional Algerian sweets (offered for the Eid) the top one is called Kaak al na9ach and originates from Bejaia and the lower one is called Charak al aryan (as opposed to mseker) and could have ottoman origins (based from its name)

On the right is traditional snack called El Mhajib which are a paste filled with a tomato sauce called chekchouka ( different kinds exist) and it is absolutely delicious, three oranges lay on the side because they are of season.
