Hank can’t wait to get this particular assignment over with—but luckily, he’s got a pretty simple plan. If he can tempt Connor into committing each of the seven deadly sins, that should be enough to get his boss off his back. He just needs to convince Connor to eat a box of Oreos. Get him to smoke a little weed. Try to get him laid. Easy enough. Straightforward.

Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, I have soooo many WiPs I’m not gonna be able to tag as many people on here. XD It’s not even a humble brag, I’m just a mess of a 40-year-old with too many ideas and not enough time to put them all down in writing. But I’m working on it! One idea at a time. :3 So bear with me, everyone. Moar HankCon (and other pairings) will be in all our futures.

The Kamski Experience - When a team of struggling documentary filmmakers get an invitation to the secret location of Elijah Kamski's newest stab at hospitality, they expect an exclusive peek into the mind of the reclusive genius.

But when the work weekend turns into a deadly game of chess with a masked serial killer, they must each pass a personally customized death trap in order to escape - or die trying.

Wayfarer - AU take on the movie Passengers, but if it were a thriller and the main character and love interest were more equal partners right from the start.

When You’re a Stranger - AU take on the movie Deliver us Fom Evil, in which Connor is a homicide investigator with a psychic streak, and Hank is a (derobed) Lutheran priest now working as freelancing exorcist.

Heart/Soul - set five months after the end of the game. Starting with Connor taking a leap of faith on stage, declaring his love for Hank with an old power ballad from the '80s.

Monochromat - a story set a few months after my first massive HankCon fic, Metamorph; When androids first start disappearing for no apparent reason, there’s no obvious signs of foul play, but then android bodies start showing up all over Detroit. Android life and death semantics aside, it would seem there is a serial killer on the prowl.

Then, to make matters worse, one of the original leaders of Jericho suddenly goes missing without a word. Hank and Connors Mark I and II find themselves racing against the clock, with too much evidence and too little time.

Gambit - another what-if kind of fic branching off a chapter of Metamorph.

DBH x Dragon Age Inquisition AU, in which Hank is a former Templar and Connor is a mage on the run. Set right after the botched Conclave.

Mr Stern’s Criminal Conundrums - a silly, fun Ms Fisher’s Murder Mysteries AU in which the honorable Mr Connor Stern is an elegant bachelor by day and all-out flapper fabulosity at night. Solving crime and making men swoon all hours of the live-long day. His ever present adversary-cum-ally is Lieutenant Hank Anderson, who doesn't need this kitten heel/fancy frock BS in his life (but secretly loves it).

Plotbunny Hank/60: At CyberLife Tower, Hank shoots the wrong Connor and completely breaks down. As a direct result, Connor-60 begins questioning everything he thought he knew.

Runaway Man - A The Fugitive (movie) AU, in which Hank is wrongfully accused of killing his ex, and Connor is tasked with hunting him down.

The Mummy AU - with Librarian!Connor and Pilot!Hank tracking down an ancient ruin to retrieve an heirloom of Hank’s (or something far, far worse ;) ). Something he lost a veritable lifetime ago. Featuring ridiculously rich Elijah Kamski headed to the same ancient site in order to find something far more interesting - an artifact promising eternal life; and the Jericho Four as a gang of troublemakers who may or may not be out for the same thing (or just stopping Kamski). Everyone has secrets, and nobody’s safe from whatever lies waiting in the depths of the ruin.

I have woefully neglected two raffle fics I started as well, but more on them in a different post. <3

Last but not least, I have a whole sentence of a PWP that never went anywhere (yet): “One of Connor’s favorite things to do in the bedroom, was watching Hank fuck himself using one of his dildos.”

Not hate as such, but critical comments are always a downer. The worst is actually in bookmark comments, I think, because it’s like - why have you singled this out in a way I can’t even respond to? Why even bookmark something you don’t like in the first place??

Once, way back in LJ/FFN days, somebody sent me a really long email to say my fic - I was writing mostly young adult stuff at the time - had given them the confidence to come out to their parents. I still have a print out of it somewhere. ♥

★ Have you ever had a fic stolen?  

Some have been reposted in full to random Wattpad collections and stuff, which I always find kind of baffling, but I don’t think I’m ever gonna be high enough BNF status for someone to straight up steal a fic!

★ How many fics do you have marked as incomplete?

I very rarely write multi chapter pieces because, well, my attention span isn’t long enough and I know I won’t finish it. It just stays in drafts until it’s done.

★ Which of the WIPS will most likely be finished first?

Any of them. Seriously though, inspiration to finish anything is a win in my book.

I wrote a Priest AU for Gotham which I’m still really proud of. Mostly because all I knew about priests past like the 15th century before I started writing was that they traditionally wore some very aesthetically pleasing clothing. Anyway, all the research reignited my interest in religious history and I’ve been doing bits of work on early Celtic Christianity and the links between Welsh Methodism and socialism ever since. So, yeah, double win.

Antichrist!Nines and Priest!Gavin AU. Slighlty nsfw under the cut so proceed with caution.

“Forgive me father for I have sinned, it has been… too long since my last confession.”

Gavin recognises the voice, having heard it throughout his childhood and teens before joining the monastery. It’s even deeper now than when they’d fooled around as clueless teens, a slight rasp behind it, and Gavin closes his eyes to ward off the memories. He knew this would happen when he made the decision to move back. Then again… he’d always been an avid believer in facing his demons head on, even if it rarely worked out in his favour. And now, when he’d chosen the coward’s path, it had done him little good. Case in point, the man separated from him by thin wood and cloth; a man who he’d been avoiding for close to two months.

He still haunted Gavin years later. The first glimpse of him in the pews had nearly stolen his voice from him. Yet Gavin had persevered and powered through the sermon with not even the slightest waver to his tone. Pale blue eyes, piercing and glowing like butane flames, would follow his every movement. The man they belonged to always stayed behind to watch Gavin flitter from person to person when offering his gratitude.

The priest always retreated the moment Niles would begin to approach and every time the skies would darken with thunder rumbling overhead. 

“What troubles you, my child?” he replies and opens his eyes again to stare straight ahead in the dark enclosed space of the confessional.

“I’ve been having impure thoughts.”

The reply feels like a punch to the gut but what follows is so much worse. More so for the way as has Gavin’s heart pounding.

“Dreams too, actually. I suppose it wouldn’t be so bad if they hadn’t featured a man of God,” Niles chuckles on the other side of the barrier, light and breathy and wrong. “I just can’t seem to help myself, you know? Do you wish to know the scope of the depravity?” Niles asks and continues before Gavin can find words to stop him. “I think of his hands. What they’d feel like grabbing at my shoulders and hair when I take him. I think of his lips and how much I’d like to see them stretched around my cock. I think about what he’s hiding beneath his robes.” 

Gavin hears Niles knock his head gently against the wood and sees the shadow of him with his head tilted upwards and back. “This isn’t-”

“I wonder what it would be like to re-explore a body I once knew as well as my own,” Niles interrupts and Gavin hears the rustling of fabric.

The rosary he has clasped in his hand burns him. It’s wrong, sinful just listening to the filth dripping from Niles’ lips, and yet Gavin flounders for a way to put an end to it. His brain stalls upon hearing a familiar sound, though it’s one he’s denied himself of for years. It’s the sound of skin sliding against skin. “Niles-”

“Yes. That’s close to how I’d imagine you’d sound. Helpless.”

“For the love of God, stop! This is blasphemy!” Gavin hisses, voice cracking a little around the syllables, and his words are greeted with a slight laugh. It tapers off in a quiet moan and Gavin fights not to clasp his hands over his ears to avoid listening to this- this. Just this. Whatever game Niles has now decided to play with him.

“If that is what you wish,” Niles says smoothly, sounding not even the slightest bit out of breath. “But I don’t think I’m the only one here with a… problem to take care of. I can see where your hands rest, Father.”

Gavin startles and looks down to see his own hands resting in his lap. He couldn’t remember moving them and yet the heel of his palm is pressed into his straining cock as if to force it back down. The next words come out feeble. “Why are you doing this?” 

“Confessing my sins is the first step towards forgiveness.”

“Do you feel remorse? Are you haunted by these thoughts?” Gavin asks and the silence on the other side is telling. “I cannot in good conscience absolve you of your sin if you do not.”

“Are my feelings truly immoral? Will God condemn me for who I love when I had no part in choosing them?”

"No, no of course not. However, projecting lust onto an unwilling recipient without their consent is."

There is silence for a moment. “Are you? Unwilling that is?”

“I have taken my vows.” Gavin closes his eyes. “I will honor them.”

“And if you hadn’t?”

“Don’t- please, don’t ask me that.”

It is quiet again and Gavin doesn’t hear Niles leave. A white lie allows him to escape his duties for the afternoon and he nearly stumbles towards his chambers to collapse on his knees by the bed. Temptation had always been Niles’ favourite weapon to wield, though now it felt more dangerous than ever. 

How was he to resist? A man whose fate was already fraying at the seams, whose vows stemmed not from a love of God but as a means to escape his own inadequacies. 

Thunder roiled outside and Gavin’s dreams were filled with visions of pale skin and scorching eyes.

I don't know which prompt you'd prefer, a church one or a vampire one, but maybe you could pick one for a simarkus drabble if you wanted? Like the werewolf one?

I was reminded of a particular drawing that fits both categories, so here's both in one very short drabble!

The world was a cold dark place, often full to the brim with the cruel and perverse nature of those who'd long since fallen out of grace with the Lord.

Men, women, and neither.

Sometimes human, sometimes something uniquely profane.

It was difficult to find the light of true devotion within the eyes of those that came to pray in the church he served but Markus, being the optimist that he was, liked to believe that each person who came and tried, could one day really come to believe the words they recited after confessing their burdenous sins. For now they sought only to clear their minds of the weighting guilt of commiting the pettiest of acts, but one day they'd see, truly see, and be absolved of their sin so as to be allowed passage to the holy resting place beyond golden gates.

It was wishful thinking really, but Markus was nothing if not the most patient of priests.

He believed that no being could be truly wicked at heart and, that if offered understanding and kindness they could be redeemed, for the devil only won when those it corrupted truly believed they could not be saved.

This was why, when he'd come across the beautiful pale man, so transfixingly enchanting even in slumber, tied to a tree deep in the woods behind his church, he'd offered assistance rather than turn away and flee back into the safety of holy ground.

Markus did not believe in the slaying of vampires. Death did not resolve the evils of a kind, and the judgement of eternal damnation never quite sat well with him as a way to deter darkness in the hearts of men. What fault did a person have for seeking such forbidden nourishment, if that was truly the only way for them to survive?

What could one do but hunt, when this plight had been put upon them by a most wretched and accursed bite?

The pale man he'd found, a man who had lost all recollection of who he was before he was a vampire, was a fledgeling and a catholic man.

He knew how to recite the prayers from heart, even if he didn't remember growing up with such teachings. Even if he knew nothing else of himself, not even a name.

Simon, as Markus had christened him, was not an evil man. He was a confused but kind and loving person who meant well.

He had a terrible ailment, but this did not make him a monster, not even when he drank from Markus's veins, accepting what was offered to sustain himself.

Never too little. Never too much.

And if he ever questioned why Markus's veins ran with blue rather than red, he never once seemed bothered or even dared to ask. He was merely content with satisfying his thirst without ending someone else's life.

Markus was all the more glad to offer, as he'd served this church for centuries and knew better than to turn away a soul in need.

It'd be most unbecoming of a servant of the Lord to do such a thing.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Always! I haven't responded to comments on my latest chapter yet, but I will. It's really important to me: 1) If someone takes the time to read my work AND share their thoughts with me, that really does mean so much, saying thank you (and clumsily attempting to express the depth of my gratitude in an annoying amount of emojis) is the least I can do; and 2) This is a community! The validation is nice, yes, but I write to connect with people. I love hearing what people have to say and I love to talk with them about it! I've made friends through my ao3 comments, we're all here because we love the same thing, and if you're excited about my silly contributions OF COURSE I'm gonna want to talk to you! Your reactions to the work are just as important as the work itself imo. Art is a conversation!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably make my wish come true, just because it's an alternate POV of a scene in a different fic so the main conflict remains unresolved. But it still has a feel-good ending! Sad endings don't exist in my world

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I'm not sure! What do you guys think? Generally in my fics I try to wrap everything up in a happy little bow without everything being too perfect--we still have to work, we still make mistakes, life is still hell; but it's easier when we have each other and have found faith in ourselves.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I haven't yet...... (bracing myself for my first hate comment to come through as soon as I publish this post)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? Sure do! I write the over-the-top, too long, lots of emotion, lots of laughing/banter, taking-off-your-pants-is-awkward kind. Sex is cool but friendship is the most romantic thing to me ❤️ I enjoy writing smut the most when they really, genuinely like each other as people.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? I have not and I doubt I would. Probably the closest I would get is an au based on another piece of media (I do dream of a hankcon twin peaks au)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have never even considered that being a thing until now

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Someone requested to translate one of my fics but I don't know if it will ever come to fruition. I hope it does though, I would love that!

13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before? No but I've briefly discussed it with a friend... now that I'm done with the bb I'll need to contact them and see if they're still interested because I sure am 👀👀

14. What's your all-time favourite ship? Hankconnnnnnnnnn

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I started a fic where Connor works in a sex shop and a very vanilla Hank comes in looking for something to spice things up with his girlfriend. He gets some fuzzy handcuffs and they do their job when it comes to Hank's boner, unfortunately that has more to do with Hank fantasizing about the person who sold them to him more than anything else. He breaks up with the girlfriend and most of the fic would be Hank continuing to frequent the sex shop as an excuse to talk to Connor as he gets more and more in over his head thanks to Connor's recommendations. It was really good in my head, but when I put it to paper it just... wasn't. So I'll probably never continue it.

16. What are your writing strengths? Characterization, I think! I get a lot of compliments on it. It's the best feeling when someone falls in love with one of my characters ❤️

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Setting 😖 I like to pepper in details as I go, I really struggle when the scene calls for describing the whole-ass place at once

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? If y'all want a fic about the Duolingo characters, sure. Otherwise I'm sure I'd be abysmal at it. I'm not proficient enough in any other language to get the voice right.

19. First fandom you wrote for? DBH. I am a fic-writing newbie and also I tend to stick with one thing for 4,000 years

20. Favourite fic you've ever written? Probably long way home, it's not as popular as mall santa but there's so much of my soul in that fic. Artistically and thematically, it's very me, and it's also the story that taught me how to write. I had never written any work of fiction before I started it (Hankcon was just that strong) and now I never want to do anything else.
