Do you believe you have a lot of artistic potential, but get intimidated by the idea of failure/not meeting all those expectations, so you end up not doing anything bc that's easier to deal than all the introspective stuff that comes with trying? Maybe I'm just projecting bc it's something that I personally deal with, but based on your previous ask, it sounds like you're going through a similar thing :X

Howdy! This is Dynjir (mod) speaking!

First of all, a giant thank you to everyone who follows and keeps up with this blog! This is my first time ever making a blog like this and so far it's been so much fun!! I've been drawing CoN stuff for nearly 4 months straight now (which is still pretty nuts to me), but now, I'm afraid I'm reaching a limit!

Not only has my physical health not been great lately, there's some projects related to my career that I want to focus on, and I need to take some things off my plate until they're done.

Announcing a break like this will also help me mentally so that I don't feel a never-ending pressure to keep updating all the time. Even if the blog's just for fun, I am very task driven, and despite having enough content queued up for weeks on advance, I'll still feel like I have to constantly make/find more content to post. If I don't do this, I'll feel like I'm always on a timer that only ticks down @-@;;

So things will be quiet around here for a bit bc I won't be queueing anything either during the break (for the reason stated above). I also won't be giving out a time on when I'll be coming back, but hopefully, it won't be for too long (bc I still have ideas I wanna draw out)!

Dude, is it me, or did Sandy single-handedly ruin Mike's entire social life? From the moment she came, her presence forced Lucy to repress/deny her feelings for Mike and vice-versa for YEARS. She turned Mike's love for Lucy into such a potent resentment that it drove Lucy to attempt suicide. And recently, Sandy's neglect and selfishness not only destroyed his self-esteem, but fostered such a deep frustration and inferiority complex that he lashed out to all his close friends to a breaking point.

MMMM.............. this is such a like. tasty drama-filled way to look at it, i love it. but i personally think it’s like... a mix? like Sandy WAS a huge influence on how Mike interacted with other people from a very young age, but definitely Mike has his own idiot actions that contributed to the various issues. same with Lucy -- Sandy coalesced many of the issues between Lucy & Mike into one point that was easy to identify/feel resentment towards, but there were things outside of Just Her. still, she has represented or caused many of the Breaking Points as it were

Favourite colours: I tend to slide up and down the cool spectrum. Right now I’m favoring the red/purple end of it with violent pinks.

Lipstick or chapstick: Chapstick, preferably Carmex. The closest I come to Lipsticks are lipstains, maybe once or twice a year. I actually really like the color of my lips.

Last song: Last song I listened to obsessively or last one I listens to at all? Praying by Kesha for the first, for reasons I can not fathom, and I’m still here from the Steven Universe soundtrack, as a wind down song.

Last movie: Does AMV Hell count? hmmmm? it’s been a while actually since I sat down for a movie..... I’m moderately sure is was the 2016 Trolls movie. I dig it.

Top 3 shows: Ever? Are you trying to kill me? not my all time faves, but my my go to anime right now is Princess Tutu and Food Wars, in 3D animated shows my attention is being split between the train wreck that is Trollhunters and the masterpiece that is Miraculous Ladybug, and I’ve been obsessively watching OK KO: Let’s be heroes for the last week (it’s excellent, definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about it)

Honorable mention: after 4 seasons South Park caught my attention with the gays and I haven’t forgiven it yet.

OTP: GAM<>KAR I am a dirty filthy homestuck and I will go down with this disaster. legit cried like a baby at work when they broke up in the bad timeline.

Other than that I am actually a pretty fluid multi shipper. A more accurate question would be “Top 3 ships for a particular fandom”

honorable mentions: South Park dragged me kicking and screaming back in with it’s canonical Creek (CraigxTweek) and so did OK KO with Voxman (Professor Venomous x Lord Boxman...there’s something happening there there were WAY TO MANY muscle definition shots and bishi sparkles for there not to be) I for one, am all in favor of using queer representation to reach to a bigger audience, as I probably wouldn’t have given OK KO a chance without it and that ended up fantastic.
