Exquisite Eggs . One of the little things I notice about the British is that they do eggs right . Whether poached, soft boiled, scrambled or fried, I never had a single egg that was over-cooked . One of the best occasions to experience great eggs is brunch and one of the great London institution’s for brunch is The Wolseley . It’s next door to the Ritz-Carlton in London’s Piccadilly and is the spot for breakfast . The signature eggs Benedict is wonderful and the variously named omelettes including the ‘Arnold Bennett’ with haddock and the ‘Adrian’ with lobster and caviar are delicious . We chose one more moderately priced afternoon tea and splurged for our second experience at one of London’s institutions: Claridge’s . Verdict? 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | After opening earlier this year, closing shortly after for return, changing their name, and reopening, @billthebutcherburger are open for business in Finsbury Park serving some of the best new burgers I’ve had this year. 🔥🔥🔥 They’ve put a LOT of thought and research into their final product and they’ve got it all so right. They’ve using top quality aged beef, throwing bone marrow in the mix, using a top supplier, and it shows. Even through the flavour of their luxury toppings, the beef shines. 🍔🍔 They have a standard cheeseburger for £8, but the menu largely comprises of premium luxury burgers priced at £14, BUT I think this is 100% backed up by the end product. You’ve got a burger with the most beautiful and perfectly cooked 12 hour cooked pork belly. You’ve got oxtail, Argentinian king prawns. or sliced steak as toppings. You are paying for absolute quality, and let’s not forget that there are burger places out there charging more than £14 for a double. Their chicken burger too, that’s amazing. It reminded me of chick n sours with the slaw. So many places get chicken burgers wrong, but they’re using a mix of thigh and leg that is then battered and deep fried. Honestly, this place is one to look out for and already has an amazing product. Their sides are great, too, and their menu is changing very soon. Also, how crazy that after nearly 2 hours of being there and talking to the owner, he remembers that we went to school together and were in the same class!
