💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

It's always getting better! (at least, I think so). It's a fun challenge to sit down for another fic and say, "What do I want to work on this time?" It's developing my own style of writing and it's a fun process! I am proud of my characterization and dialogue, and I'm working on imagery and general flow of the plot.

📚 Do you read your own fic?

Sometimes, yes. Especially if I'm doing a chaptered fic, I'll usually read the chapter before starting the next one. It also helps me see which words or phrases I'm overusing (apparently my current favorites are "still," "rather," and "slight.") Though sometimes I find silly little grammatical errors that make me go "grammerly, you failed me."

🍰 Name one of your fave comfort fics (doesn’t have to be your all time fave).

I got pulled into the ACOTAR series over the summer and I'm currently reading the most beautiful elriel fic called What Bloomed in the Darkgarden by @bloomingdarkgarden (ehoney). Hands down, the most beautiful prose I've read in my entire life, on par with some of my favorite novels. It gives Elain a characterization and development that fits her personality perfectly, and the romance she and Azriel share in the fic is so very them. Perhaps I relate to them more because they choose to love each other rather than having been mated, and it tickles my need for a forbidden love/ethereal romance story.

I'm currently catching up with @puolain's tactic and strategy, a twiyor arranged marriage AU that give the sweetest slow burn and makes me fall in love with Twilight and Yor over and over again. Call me a sucker for pretty prose, but I love the way it's written.

And of course, my go-to fic for long plane rides, your Let Me Love You will always remain a treasure in my heart. Thank you for being such a huge part of my writing journey since the beginning.

and also "handsome you're a mansion with a view" like???? wille's so used to mansions and palaces and fancy places, but simon is a metaphorical mansion that's beautiful and feels like a home I'm???????

simon loves running his hands through wille's hair, and that night at the football field probably felt like one of the longest nights ever for him. and like the simple end of "I like you" and "I want you" and "I know that it's delicate" like they know the relationship's going to be messy but they love and want each other and that's all that matters I'm so insane for this song fjhgkdfgk

A lot of people know me as a big Elriel writer and don't give my Elucien a chance but that story has just as much of my heart in it and I'm super proud of it. This shipwar is so stupid, people hauling vitriol daily when half of the equation is always the same. I just want Elain to be romanced and orgasmed thoroughly, you know. She's always my #1. The Boyz come second.

My Elucien fic is on pause until the summer, I will be diving back into it in June when my cottagecore brain is in full swing. IFHOEL deserves the best and want to give it my undivided attention after my longfic is finished.
