Only when you are completely broken can you rise again.

And yet they both want me.
But something dark is unfolding inside me.
A horrific event forces its way into my consciousness.
And even if the situation between us changes, it is these memories that could doom us all.

When Sigyn's parents suddenly die, she is left penniless and alone on the streets of Asgard.

Outcast and hunted, all she has left is a special coin as a glimmer of hope, which can gain her entry into the famous Magic Academy, the recognized center of magical and martial training in the Asgard.
But her joy is short-lived when she learns that the magicians refuse to teach her. And so their desperate eyes wander down to the ruins at the foot of the Storm Rocks, hoping to find something there and thus a future for themselves...
Caught in her own darkness, she meets a young sorceress who takes care of her. With all the time that passes and stones in their path, they get closer and their adventure and love story together begins.
They lost 3 years by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
They lost three years
After the battle of Ragnarok, Loki and Sigyn had agreed. No more crowns, or thrones, or Tessaract. Who cared about birthrights, when it was destroying their family and tearing them apart?
So once everyone was safe, they ran away, very, very far. Thor knew, of course, and had given them his blessing. Though they had not needed it, they had appreciated it.
They found refuge on a little watery planet, with lots of sunny islands and beautiful waterfalls, that reminded Sigyn of Vanaheim. What a lovely place to start their lives and raise their children!
But alas, it did not last long. One day, while they were having dinner, Loki felt suddenly sick. Sigyn rushed to his side, asking him what was wrong with him, but he could not answer. Instead, he turned into dust in front of her helpless eyes.
She screamed, cried, begged for him to come back, but it was in vain.
Loki was gone.
She contacted Thor and he explained that Thanos had won and that there was nothing they could do.
Sigyn refused.
She would get him back.
By any means. Had she to force the Norns to change their fates, she would.
Had she to sell her soul to all the demons of Muspell to bring him back, she would.
During three years, she looked for Karmilla, their Queen, but she seemed to have disappeared. All the Norns seemed to have died, vanished into thin air, and she wondered if it was also the design of the Purple monster, or some other dark, unknown threat.
Finally, she arrived at the roots of Yggdrassil and admired its beauty for a long time, before she heard a very familiar voice.
“Oh, what do we have here? Hello little one”
That’s when she saw him.
Loki.
Loki was inside of the tree!
What in Helheim was he doing there?
“My love!”, she called, but he stopped her.
“Not your love, I’m afraid, dear”, he corrected her, “Only one of their variants”
“Variants?”, she asked, confused at the whole situation.
“Your husband will come back in two more years”, he said, “But I can bring him back now, if you’d prefer”
Sigyn let a little cry escape her lips, and she breathe again for the first time in three years.
“Yes, please, my Lord”, she wailed, “I beg you, bring him back to me”
And so the God of stories did.
Loki and Sigyn woke up, in their little house, on the planet they called home, in the arms of each other. Loki did not remember what had happened, but was relieved he was back with his wife, once again. They might have lost three years, but they had the rest of eternity to enjoy their happy ending.
At the end of time
Tumblr media
Loki hadn't noticed Sigyn running after him and through the protective door. When he turned around and saw her, he pushed her against the nearest wall with the help of his magic. "I have to do this alone," he said and looked over at Loki and Sylvie, who were standing behind the protective door and giving him worried looks.
Loki opened the floodgate "Finally knows what kind of god I must be, for you" he said and smiled at her and went outside.
While he was still grasping all the threads of fate, a hand fell into his. It was Sigyn who picked herself up shortly after Loki magically threw her against the wall and went after him. He starts it.
"I told you that I would stay with you until the end and if I followed you to the end of all things. "I will stay by your side no matter what happens," she said with a determination and love in her voice that made Loki, who was already very close to tears, now stream down his face. How much he loved the woman, how much he always surprised him and how much he sometimes just drove her stubborn head crazy.
"I'm right behind you," and released Loki's hand and summoned her magical bowl. And they both walked towards the throne where Loki sat down and wove destinies with one another, becoming the god of history. His wife at his side who, with the help of her bowl, let healing and help run through all the threads. United together for all eternity and never alone.

The scandalous mix-up
Tumblr media
Sigyn is running out of time, because if she doesn't decide on a suitable husband soon, she will be married to the next best dwarf in Nidavellir. But then her mother can find someone for Sigyn to choose. As the wife of a war, she will be able to lead a simple life without big commitments and a big stage. Everything Sigyn wants for her future life. But soon arriving in Asgard, her future husband is not there, worse, everyone thinks she is the bride for Loki Odin's youngest son.
The Trickster’s Sword story by @roruna
Tumblr media
Even in a warrior culture, nobility have guards. Odin himself had an elite team called the Crimson Hawks. All of Queen Frigga’s ladies in waiting were training in the art of the blade as well as magic. Lady Sif and the Warriors Three weren’t assigned to guard Thor but they joined him on all his more dangerous adventures so it amounted to the same thing. Only the trickster prince, Loki, didn’t have a sword of his own.
If Asgard’s people didn’t wholly trust Loki, the feeling was entirely mutual. At first, Odin tried to assign one of his Crimson Hawks as Loki’s personal bodyguard. It was seen as a great honor that the All-Father himself would trust anyone with the well being of one of his heirs. Loki got rid of the chosen warrior easily enough. It was simply a matter of pitting the Crimson Hawk’s loyalty to Odin against his loyalty to his protectorate.
Loki snuck out of the palace with only his guard, to steal some artifact from the trolls in the southern mountains of Asgard. Odin demanded to know where Loki had gone. The Crimson Hawk betrayed Loki’s trust immediately and told the All-Father everything. He didn’t lose his position as a Crimson Hawk but he would no longer have the honor of protecting the All-Father’s son for allowing Loki to endanger himself. You can’t trust anyone who fights for honor.
Then Queen Frigga hired a mercenary and paid an eye-watering amount of gold to keep Lokialive and well. A decent disguise, a clandestine meeting in a shady tavern and offering more money to assassinate Loki was all it took to get rid of that man. You can’t trust anyone who fights for money.
Watching Thor and his companions, Loki knew what he needed in a bodyguard. Sif and the Warriors Three committed treason and discarded priceless treasures on a regular basis. So did Loki. All out of love for Thor. But since it was hard enough to get his own family and friends to feel any love for him, Loki could at least find someone who wouldn’t be motivated by honor or money.
He went to Vanaheim. Specifically, to Sessrumnir, Freya’s hall. She and her Valkyries fought at Odin’s side centuries ago. They were Asgard’s allies but they were not of Asgard. They respected Odin but they didn’t serve him. Among Valkyries he was sure to find someone who wouldn’t fight for Asgard’s honor. And hopefully, since Freya was his grandfather’s sister, there could be at least a little bit of familial affection.
Freya refused to release any of her Valkyries from her service to guard Loki. They were warriors not nursemaids, she said. She left Loki sitting in her hall, ordering her son to play host until her troublemaking guest was gone. Sigurd Iwaldison was Freya’s only son. He didn’t quite fit in Nidavellir among his dwarven brothers. He stood out several feet in fact. And he didn’t fit in with his mother and sisters any better in Vanaheim. As far as Freya was concerned, men weren’t for talking to.
“Asgard has many great warriors, your highness. Surely you didn’t need to come all this way for a personal guard,” Sigurd said.
“There are no warriors in Asgard that meet my standards,” Loki said. “I cannot trust someone who fights for honor, I’m not honorable enough for that. And I cannot trust someone who fights for wealth, I’m wealthy enough to know that.”
“So you came to Valkyries because they do not fight for wealth, nor do they care what Asgard thinks of them,” Sigurd said.
“Precisely,” Loki said and with a smirk that made Sigurd’s back sweat, he asked, “Are you a warrior too, Iwaldison?”
No self respecting dwarf wouldn’t know how to wield an ax and Freya would not have any of her children, even if he was a son, not skilled in wielding a sword. So Loki offered him the position.
“You’d be an ideal guard,” Loki said. “You have no loyalty to Asgard or Odin and your father is rich even by dwarf standards. I can trust you not to betray me for honor or money.”
“Are you sure that would be enough, your highness?” Sigurd asked.
“I suppose there is one detail I nearly overlooked,” Loki said.
Loki leaned forward until his face was only a couple of inches from Sigurd’s. He held his face with both hands and gave Sigurd his most charming smile.
“Sigurd Iwaldison, fall in love with me,” Loki ordered. That should not have worked. Sigurd swore it hadn’t worked. Even as he followed Loki back to Asgard like a puppy, he insisted that hadn’t worked. He believed himself until Loki went on another adventure with his brother, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three. Loki used magic and illusions and deception to keep his brother and their companions alive. He used every trick he had to ensure that their adventure was a success.
Thor, Sif and the Warriors Three all teased Loki for his underhanded ways. And as much as Loki wanted to act like he didn’t care about this friendly mockery, Sigurd could see when Loki let the mask slip.
Sigurd fell in love with Loki when he saw that Loki was willing to risk his life and sacrifice his own pride so that his older brother could shine like the sun. There was nothing Loki wouldn’t give for his family’s, for Asgard’s, sake.
How did no one see that?
How did Thor and Odin not realize that everything Loki did was for their sake? No one saw him. No one heard him. But Sigurd saw Loki, he watched him all the time. Sigurd heard Loki, he listened for him all the time. He was Loki’s personal guard and he loved Loki better than Loki’s own kin did. Once, in the early days of serving Loki, Sigurd was given three orders.
“These will be your standing orders,” Loki told him. “If I give you no other instructions, these orders are always in place.”
“Yes, your highness,” Sigurd said.
“Protect me,” Loki said.
“This may seem self-evident because you are my personal guard but you must keep in mind that you don’t serve Odin and you don’t serve Asgard. You work for me. So do try not to let some sense of conscience or fair play or something interfere with your duty to keep me alive and unharmed.”
“Yes, your highness. I will protect you.”
“My next order is for you to protect yourself,” Loki said. He raised his chin haughtily.
“I’m notasking you this for your sake, if you take stupid risks and get hurt or killed, you’re no good to me.”
“Yes, your highness. I will protect myself.”
“And my final order is for you to protect yourself,” he said. With a gentle smile and speaking
more softly, he said, “This time I am asking you this for your own sake. I don’t want to see you get hurt.”
“Yes, your highness,” Sigurd replied, his heart beating faster.
And then Odin declared that Thor would be crowned king.
Loki shared his concerns for Thor’s suitability as king and only Sigurd heard him. When Loki devised a plan that would surely prove that Thor was eager for any excuse to declare war with Jotunheim, only Sigurd saw Loki sneak a pair of frost giants into Asgard. He didn’t say anything when Thor demanded to go to Jotunheim to investigate. He didn’t say anything after Thor was banished and Sif and the Warriors Three became suspicious of Loki.
Sigurd didn’t object or try to stop Loki doing what he wanted and he didn’t betray his trust
because he knew it could lead to Loki’s arrest. He didn’t even voice disapproval when Loki sent the Destroyer to kill Thor, his friends and whatever mortals might get caught in the crossfire.
When Thor went after Loki to stop him using the bifrost to destroy Jotunheim, of course Sigurd went after Thor. He had to protect Loki from his brother’s wrath, however justified.
Sigurd was no match against a Thor who had proven himself worthy of wielding Mjolnir. And when Sigurd regained consciousness, the bifrost was already destroyed, Odin was awake and Loki had already let go of Gungnir. Even if his beloved lord had committed suicide, Sigurd knew who was truly to blame. Odin always favored Thor and Thor treated Loki little better than a servant. He had to avenge Loki. Sigurd Iwaldison died on the broken rainbow bridge when Gungnir impaled him.
Mobiu's secret
Tumblr media
As tourists flock to the city, intrigued by the legend of the curse of the three sisters, bodies are found along the shore.
200 years ago, in a small coastal town, the three sisters Lorelei, Aurora and Sigyn were convicted as witches. Stones were tied to their feet and thrown into the sea.
Since then, their spirits have risen from their watery grave every summer to exact revenge on the townsfolk. They drive into the bodies of young women and lure men to their deaths.
15-year-old Sig takes care of the old lighthouse. Like many locals, she has resigned herself to the city's fate. She knows that the sea will again wash three bodies onto the shore this year. But only Sig sees what others don't see... And when Mobius shows up, she knows he has to go, but murders get worse. Mobiu's companion will become the hunted itself, and mystery will no longer remain a mystery.
curses and other disasters

When Loki abandons Sigyn, she does what any young witch would have done in her place: run a bath, mix herself a decent drink, and curse the bastard who broke her heart. Nine years later, Sigyn is still not over Loki, and when he returns to Vanaheim for the annual Fall Festival, she chooses to ignore him. Easier said than done, because Sigyn's old curse only unfolds its full effect with Loki's visit, and suddenly both their lives are in danger. Loki, so angry at Sigyn's inability to control herself as she has never really mastered her magic, curses her back causing Sigyn's appearance to transform into that of a classic witch. But in order to break both curses, Loki and Sigyn must - reluctantly at first - work together. But soon the two realize that the sparks aren't just flying... Not to mention a suppressed desire

By my son's life! (inspired story by the fairy tale Rumpelstilzchen) by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Once upon a time in the realm of Asgard, there lived a humble smith named Iwaldi. He toiled day and night in his workshop, creating magnificent weapons and armor for the warriors of the land. Iwaldi had a daughter named Sigyn, who possessed a gentle spirit and a kind heart. Sigyn had inherited her father's craftsmanship and spent her days helping him with his work, finding solace in the sound of hammer on metal.
Sigyn's mother, Freya, was a woman with ambitious dreams. She yearned for Sigyn to marry a prince, someone of noble birth who would elevate their family's status. Freya knew that Odin, the mighty king of Asgard, had a son of marriable age named Thor. With cunning intent, she boasted about Sigyn's beauty and talents, hoping to catch the king's attention.
Curiosity piqued, Odin summoned Freya and inquired about the young maiden. Intrigued by the prospect of a union between their families, he asked what Sigyn could do. Unbeknownst to her mother's machinations, Sigyn did not wish to marry Thor, for her heart yearned for a different path. In a moment of quick thinking, she decided to jest and said, "I can turn wheat into gold."
Odin, wise and perceptive, saw through her falsehood. Realizing that Sigyn was lying, he grew furious with the attempt to deceive him. Determined to teach her a lesson, he imprisoned Sigyn within a tall tower and declared that she would only be released when she fulfilled her claim of turning wheat into gold, or else she would face dire consequences.
Alone in the tower, Sigyn's heart sank. She knew it was an impossible task, and tears streamed down her face as she mourned her fate. Little did she know, a mysterious magician appeared before her. He was tall and enigmatic, dressed in dark robes, and emanated an air of otherworldly power. The magician offered Sigyn a lifeline, promising to turn the wheat into gold, but at a price.
"I can help you, Sigyn," the magician whispered, his voice carrying a hint of danger. "But first, you must discover my true name. Solve that riddle, and I shall grant your wish."
Sigyn's curiosity was piqued, and the magician's presence fascinated her. She agreed to his proposition, for her desire to be free from the tower was overpowering. With a wave of his hand, the magician transformed the wheat before her into glittering gold.
News of the miraculous feat reached Odin's ears, and he was delighted. Sigyn had proven her worth, and the king allowed her to marry Prince Thor. Freya's ambitions were fulfilled, and she reveled in the triumph.
Yet, Sigyn's heart remained heavy. In the solitude of her chamber, she wept, longing for a life of her choosing rather than one dictated by others. Desperate for solace, she called out to the magician, her heart full of longing. When he appeared, she confessed her true feelings.
"I do not wish to marry Prince Thor," Sigyn whispered, her voice trembling with sincerity.
The magician, intrigued by her honesty, asked her a single question. "Do you know my name?"
Sigyn's eyes met his, and without hesitation, she spoke the truth. "I know you are Loki."
A smile played upon Loki's lips, for he had found a kindred spirit in Sigyn. They were bound by their shared desire for freedom and authenticity. In that moment, love blossomed between them, and they shared a tender kiss.
Defying their predetermined fate, Sigyn and Loki fled Asgard, seeking refuge in a distant land. There, they lived in seclusion and were blessed with a son, whom they named Vali. The family found happiness in their newfound freedom, far away from the constraints of royal expectations.
However, the news of their escape reached Odin's ears, and his wrath knew no bounds. He ordered his warriors to capture Sigyn and Loki, for he could not bear the thought of his plans being defied.
As they were captured and brought before the king, Sigyn pleaded for mercy, promising Odin a secret in exchange for the freedom of her son and husband. Her voice carried a resolute determination as she revealed her bargain.
"I will tell you how to turn wheat into gold if you release my loved ones, my son, and my husband," Sigyn declared, her eyes filled with both desperation and courage.
Odin, his thirst for knowledge insatiable, agreed to her proposition. Loki and Vali were set free, while Sigyn remained captive, her life hanging by a thread. She knew she had no knowledge of turning wheat into gold, and her heart was burdened with the weight of her sacrifice.
Unable to bear the thought of her family suffering, Sigyn made a fateful decision. She chose to take her own life, believing that her sacrifice would set them free from Odin's grasp. In her final moments, she whispered a prayer for Loki to avenge her death and bring justice to the realm.
Loki, consumed by grief and rage, vowed to fulfill Sigyn's dying wish. He bided his time, plotting against Odin, fueled by a burning desire to avenge his beloved.
And so, the tale of Sigyn, the humble smith's daughter, and Loki, the enigmatic magician, became a tragic legend passed down through the ages. Their love had defied the boundaries set by fate, and their sacrifice would forever be remembered as a testament to the power of devotion and the price of freedom.
Gods murder
Tumblr media
Due to past crimes, Loki is in captivity in Asgard. There he is mocked, especially by the guards. The guards Ragner and Ivar, who are supposed to bring Loki his meal, fail to do so in time and help themselves to the meal. Using a ruse, Loki is able to fool the two, escape from his cell, and kill Ragner and Ivar. Consumed by hate and anger, he now tried to carry out his revenge plan, which he had harbored for a long time. He plans to destroy the Yggdrasil world tree and then replace it with a world tree in his own new image. Thus he would receive power over all worlds.
To this end, after a confrontation with Odin, he aims for the earth where his son Fenrir the giant wolf and his wife Sigyn were once abducted. Fenrir should help him destroy the world tree. He believes his wife dead, as Odin had told him, since she refused to help with banishing the wolf. Odin, who tries to stop Loki, is badly injured. Thor arrives just in time to be enlightened by his father Odin about the amulet Varga. One half of the amulet is in Loki's possession, the other half is considered lost. Odin is sure that Loki can only be stopped if you have both halves of the amulet. Knowing this, Thor rushes to Earth.
On Earth, archaeologist Dr. Quinn, her best friend Dr. Foster Doctor in Astrophysics and his assistant Darcy Lewis accidentally unearthed Fenrir's prison. Thor needs the women's help to recover the second half of the amulet. After he is able to fend off the wolf's first attack, the two women assure him of all their support. But they are the only ones who want to prevent the destruction of Yggdrasil and where the second half of the amulet is, even Loki would never have dared to dream.

Queen of destiny

After the blood magic has destroyed Sigyn's entire life, she too sits on the throne as Queen of Vanaheim while Jotunheim declares war on her. She is determined to save her people and stop Jotunheim from taking the cities of Atlantia and Solis. But the fight against Jotunheim is just the beginning: Ancient powers have awakened in the shadows, bringing with them the horrors of times long past. Now the hour has come when Sigyn must accept her destiny and fulfill the prophecy. And she has to use her blood magic, but with that her secret is no longer safe either.
The witch's curse story by @roruna
Tumblr media
Sigyn sat alone in her chambers. She hadn't left in days. At first, she was despondent, racking her brain for a way to get him back. But the sadness gradually reshaped itself into rage. Now she daydreamed of revenge, to get him back.
She arranged candles in a circle on her floor and sat down in the center of the circle. All the candles lit themselves at once by magic. Her heart was pounding hard and her whole body was shaking. Fresh tears grew in her eyes. She wiped them away with her index finger.
"Essence of fire, burn his skin and melt his form. Essence of air, spin him round so he loses his way, abandon him when he needs to breathe. Essence of earth, break his bones, bury him deep. Essence of water, become his tears," she said, writing the name on the floor with her wet finger.
Loki.
It wasn't a proper curse. Freya, the Vanir goddess of magic and Sigyn's mother, had taught her dozens of spells and curses. This wasn't in any of the spell books she'd read. The candles were just ordinary wax things with essential oils added so they'd fill the room with a pleasant fragrance when they burned. The air smelled of roses, vanilla, lavender and honeysuckle.
She didn't draw any runes. She didn't use any of her reserves of magic energy. She didn't even use any seidr to make his name glow dramatically on the floor. But she was crying when she lit the candles. She was crying as she spoke the words. And she was crying as she wrote his name in the circle with her tears. Intent and focus are what's important when casting spells.
Her body felt drained when put the candles out and stepped out of the circle. She wiped her face and she dropped into a dreamless sleep when her head touched the pillow. Just outside her chambers, servants were bustling about preparing Asgard's palace for Thor's coronation.
The child of a thousand wonders
Tumblr media
Sigyn returns to Asgard from Nidavellir. She is to study and live in a school for magic until her mother returns from Feuerrisen Krigen and has clarified all matters there. Meanwhile, Sara's father dies under tragic circumstances.
He dies and leaves behind her, her sisters and mother. Sigyn only survives the difficult times because she has so much imagination and imagines what it will be like when her life is back on track. What she doesn't know is that she has an unknown friend who will help her and stand by her to make her happy again.
Sigyn goddess of forbidden love by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Once upon a time in the realm of Asgard, Sigyn was not just an ordinary maiden, but a valiant Valkyrie. She possessed grace, strength, and a heart filled with compassion. Sigyn had dedicated her life to the honorable duty of guiding fallen warriors to their rightful place in Valhalla.
However, fate had a different plan for Sigyn. Unbeknownst to her fellow Valkyries, she had fallen deeply in love with Loki, the mischievous god of trickery. Their hearts intertwined in secrecy, for such love was forbidden, as Loki's actions had often caused chaos and strife among the realms.
Sigyn's love for Loki was a bittersweet torment, for she was torn between her devotion to her duty as a Valkyrie and the longing in her heart. She would watch him from a distance, her heart aching, as he played his tricks and schemes, always keeping her true feelings hidden away.
One day, as Sigyn ventured through the realms, she came across a group of fallen warriors who had perished in a battle. Her duty compelled her to gather them and lead them to Valhalla. As she approached the fallen, she noticed among them a wounded warrior, his armor tarnished and his spirit weakened. To her surprise, it was Loki himself, wounded and vulnerable.
The conflict within Sigyn reached its zenith. Her love for Loki and her duty as a Valkyrie clashed with equal force. Her fellow Valkyries watched as she stood there, torn between her heart's desire and her responsibility.
In that moment, Sigyn made a decision that would change her fate and the fate of Loki forever. She dropped her spear, a symbol of her duty, and knelt beside Loki. She cradled his battered form in her arms, ignoring the gasps of her fellow Valkyries. With each touch, her love for him grew stronger, and a wave of compassion washed over her.
Sigyn looked into Loki's weary eyes and spoke words that resonated with love and determination. "No longer will I deny my heart, Loki. I am ready to face the consequences of our forbidden love. For love knows no boundaries and can transform even the most mischievous soul."
As the Valkyries watched in astonishment, Sigyn, the Valkyrie who had forsaken her duty, rose with Loki in her arms and vanished into the unknown. The realm of Asgard fell into a state of bewilderment, for a Valkyrie had chosen love over her sacred oath.
In the realms beyond, Sigyn and Loki created a life of their own, where their love blossomed, unfettered by the laws of the gods. Their journey was not without challenges, but together they faced them with unwavering devotion.
Though Sigyn had forsaken her position as a Valkyrie, her heart remained filled with compassion. She used her newfound freedom to bring solace to those in need, offering aid and redemption to lost souls who had strayed from the path of righteousness.
The gods of Asgard, witnessing the purity and strength of Sigyn's love, reconsidered their judgments. Slowly, they began to understand that love could heal even the most broken of spirits. The forbidden love between Sigyn and Loki became a tale whispered among the gods, a reminder that the power of love could transcend all boundaries.
And so, Sigyn, once a Valkyrie bound by duty, became a symbol of love's triumph over adversity. Her story would echo through the ages, inspiring others to follow their hearts, even in the face of the greatest challenges.
Don't forget love
Tumblr media
Young Loki, an adopted son of Odin, of unknown origin and the highest magic in Asgard, receives a dangerous assignment: he and his brother Thor are to free prisoners of war from captivity on Midgard in Garda. While fleeing, he falls in love with the women of Sigyn the freed, but she is already married. Nevertheless, over the years he becomes the confidant of the young woman and wins victories over victories with Tho. And the blemish of his birth is finally revealed. Whereupon Loki leaves Asgard. But Sigyn has to realize with horror that her most dangerous enemy is far from defeated, and when she and her husband leave for Asgard for Thor's coronation, both are attacked and her husband is murdered, but that's not all, this fate will have fruitful consequences...
All good and bad things come in threes
Tumblr media
There are days that turn your entire life upside down. Do you know days like that? Even those days when you lose your job in the morning and own a magical bookshop in Ireland at night?
No?
Well, I didn't know that either.
What I learned today:
1. I am not a human, I am a goddess and no one knows what else I am.
2.I have magic, but I have no idea how it works.
3.I'm in danger, have a husband I never knew about and only the bookshop in Ireland can protect me.
This is Rose's (Sigyn) new life and this Odinson who's supposed to be her husband doesn't make it any easier for her either.

The broken promise
Tumblr media
Loki: You give every one of your belongings to even the lowest scum or upstart
Sigyn: Everyone should be heard and understood
Loki: Understood, these are Sigyn low beings. They should not be understood but mastered
Sigyn: That's exactly why many fear you, because the way you think about them makes you unpredictable
Loki: You're talking about everyone should have a say
Sigyn: What's so bad about showing them is so bad about showing them respect for your opinions and ideas?
Loki: Enough of this discussion, you are my wife and you have to stand behind me in the first place behind all my decisions!
Sigyn: I stand behind you, but I'm not your puppet
The girl at the end of time by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
In the wake of Ragnarok, the cataclysmic event that brought an end to the known universe, Sigyn found herself standing alone amidst the vast emptiness of the void. As the girl at the end of time, she witnessed the devastation that had consumed everything she had ever known. Her heart was heavy with grief and the weight of her solitude.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and Sigyn wandered through the desolate remains, searching for signs of life. But the universe seemed devoid of hope, with no trace of any other survivors. She felt the weight of the loss, mourning the fallen gods and mortals who had once inhabited the vibrant realms.
As Sigyn reached the point of despair, contemplating her existence as the solitary being at the edge of nothingness, a glimmer of light caught her attention. In the darkest corner of the void, she discovered a group of individuals huddled together, clinging to the remnants of their shattered existence.
Hope ignited within Sigyn's heart as she approached the survivors. They were a diverse group, representing different species and civilizations from across the cosmos. Their eyes held a mix of relief, wonder, and exhaustion as they saw Sigyn, the girl who had emerged unscathed from the ruins of Ragnarok.
Among the survivors, Sigyn discovered a wise elder who held the knowledge of an ancient prophecy—one that spoke of a way to restart the universe, a chance to restore life and begin anew. Though the task seemed daunting, Sigyn knew that she had been chosen for a purpose beyond her comprehension.
Gathering the remaining survivors, Sigyn shared the prophecy with them, filling their hearts with renewed hope. Together, they embarked on a perilous journey, traversing the remnants of the shattered cosmos, seeking the pieces required to restart creation.
Through trials and tribulations, the group faced countless obstacles, but their determination was unwavering. Sigyn's love for the fallen gods and mortals fueled her resolve, and she became a guiding light for the survivors, encouraging them to press onward.
At the culmination of their quest, they assembled the shattered fragments, a mosaic of cosmic energy. Sigyn stepped forward, the catalyst of their endeavor, and with a single touch, she ignited the dormant energy, sending ripples of life through the void.
A burst of vibrant light enveloped the cosmos, spreading like a celestial wave, awakening the slumbering universe from its lifeless state. Stars ignited, galaxies spiraled into motion, and planets began to form. Life bloomed once more, breathing fresh energy into the tapestry of existence.
The survivors, awestruck and filled with gratitude, witnessed the rebirth of a universe they had believed lost forever. They celebrated their triumph, vowing to honor the fallen by cherishing the newfound life granted to them.
Sigyn, once the girl at the end of time, had become the harbinger of renewal. With her unwavering love and the strength of the survivors by her side, she had rewritten destiny, restoring hope and the promise of a brighter future.
Together, they set forth to build a universe where love, compassion, and harmony thrived. And as they shaped their new reality, the echoes of the fallen reverberated within their hearts, a reminder of the resilience of life and the enduring power of unity.

Sigyn the bride who doesn't dare
Tumblr media
Earth 8899
Raised with seven brothers, the confident Sigyn can wield a sword, swear and ride horses as well as a man. Smiling well and keeping their mouths shut aren't really their strengths. Nor is she keen on becoming a man's obedient wife until she catches a glimpse of the naked Loki King of Jotunheim. The well-built demigod makes her weak for the first time and awakens a passion in her like she hasn't known before. And Loki is also completely controlled by the beautiful, albeit scratchy Sigyn and willing to do anything to win her heart. But Sigyn lets him down, but Loki is not impressed by that and froze in her family's marriage. With that, Sigyn has to get married whether she wants to or not, but she can't, so she runs away not knowing her husband is always 3 steps ahead.
The Blood Curse of the Valkyrie
Tumblr media
Welcome to Earth 823:
What are you doing to prevent the Valkyries from ever giving one and thus remaining pure warriors? Odin's mother Bestla had only one sane solution after she betrayed her husband in his bed with a Valkyrie, a blood curse. Any woman who wanted to become a Valkyrie had to take a blood oath and be a virgin. If this was no longer the case, she was not allowed to become a Valkyrie!
The blood curse is activated when a Valkyrie lost her virginity without first resigning from her duties, only then would the curse be lifted. If this was not the case, her blood turned to pure gold and the Valkyrie froze to her full size and was publicly displayed as a memorial. You will speak Verbatim to Golden Statue.
Sigyn knows about all this and became a Valkyrie. But she is chosen as the victim of a fatal bet and soon she faces the consequences and becomes Golden Statue. And Loki guilty of that... will he shatter on his own vanity or finally get a heart of ice?
Vanaheim's secret
Tumblr media
Vanaheim once had a ruling family that was destroyed by wars and internal divisions. The last descendant of this family is Sigyn, but she does not live royally, but rather modestly and withdrawn in her somewhat larger estate and cultivated fields. She has said two diners dying by her side are rather well-paid farmhands. A man and his wife with their 4 children. They live in their own house near Sigyn's Gut's estate. They work together and Ingrid helps Sigyn with the housework. They lead a modest but happy life.
One day when Sigyn is out on the market selling crops, she meets a man. He introduces her as Theoric who is looking for work, Sigyn who could need additional help with the grain harvest asks him to work with her on the farm. In return, he asks her to take care of her horses, which he gratefully accepts. And he moves to her farm as a harvest helper. But the truth is that behind this is the form of Theoric Loki, who escaped from Asgard after faking his death. He turned his back on Asgard and everyone else when he found out what his true heritage was.
Over time, the two get closer, Loki only fights against it because he knows that nobody would get involved with an Ice Risen. But the feeling of attraction is stronger and the two fell into their passion so much that they can hardly keep their hands on each other. Nevertheless, all good things come to an end at some point and hers came half a year later. Because Loki, whom everyone only knows as Theoric, leaves Vanaheim overnight without saying a word. And Sigyn keeps an unexpected gift that will see the light of day 9 months later. But she's broken, she loves Theoric and he just left her before she knew she was pregnant, let alone telling him he was going to be a father. But worse was to come.
The Stolen Smile story by @roruna
Tumblr media
Sigyn fell through an unseen portal in Vanaheim and landed in Midgard long ago. It could've
been worse, she supposed. She could've ended up in Muspelheim or Jotunheim. But she was still stuck in a primitive realm with no way to get home.
At first, she tried to reach out to the magic users of this realm but… it never went well. Either
they were too weak to see the portals or they were charlatans or they got arrested for witchcraft.
At first, she hid in convents. They were more than happy to accept a young woman with no past so long as she said the right things.
But every decade it got harder and harder to hide. Universities were useful. No one stuck
around for long and so long as she "enrolled" with a new name, even the professors didn't
notice. They didn't look much at students' faces.
For the next few years, Sigyn would be Darcy Lewis, political science major. She'd majored in a vast number of subjects over the years. It was something to do and she hoped that in time, the most learned mortals would find a way to create portals to other realms or even just detect them.
She'd almost forgotten about this hope when she saw an announcement from Dr Jane Foster, astrophysicist, looking for an intern. She applied immediately and hacked into the school's computer network to delete every other application.
Listening to Jane talk, she never felt more hopeful. She knew! Even if her fellow mortals were skeptical and everything Jane said was "purely theoretical", she was right. Dr Foster, Dr Selvig and Darcy Lewis went to New Mexico.
Darcy recognized the bifrost when it dumped Thor practically at their feet. She couldn't let Thor slip from her grip. So rather than risk Jane getting back in the van and driving away scared, Darcy tased the god of thunder.
Darcy kept her distance and just watched when Thor broke into SHIELD's quarantine area. She
watched Thor barrel through Midgard's most highly trained warriors. She watched him find
Mjolnir. She watched him fail to lift his hammer. She watched Thor let himself be arrested.
She was trying to devise a plan to get Thor out of SHIELD custody when she saw something else. She saw a man in black suit who looked more like a better class of crime boss than an underpaid government enforcer. She watched him walk into the quarantine area and stroll through its plastic corridors and try his own hand at picking up Mjolnir.
She was the only one who saw him. Even Thor didn't see the man until he allowed himself to be seen. She followed him into the darkness of the desert until they were well away from the SHIELD floodlights.
"Yes?" he asked as if they were strangers on the same train.
"Um…" she said, caught off guard.
She straightened up and walked over to him. He watched her, a hint of a grin on his face.
"How did-?" She began.
"I could hear you trying to breathe quietly," he said.
Which was strangely embarrassing.
"And you weren't worried?" She asked. He shrugged.
"Thieves and assassins are very good at sneaking around. If you were any kind of threat, I wouldn't have noticed you," he said.
"I saw you well enough," she said, trying not to sound huffy.
"Yes, that was curious," he said. "I didn't think I'd encounter magic users among the mortals."
"Well, I'm not mortal," she said. "I'm Vanir. From Vanaheim."
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Darcy Lewis," she answered automatically.
"Want to try again?" He asked.
"Sigyn Freyadottir," she said. "You?"
"Loki…" he said and sounded like he was going to say more but stopped. "I'm the acting king of Asgard."
"Loki Odinson," she said. "How did you get here without using the bifrost?" He just grinned. Without thinking, she ran to him. She grabbed the lapels of his jacket and looked at him desperately.
"Your majesty, please," she begged. "I've been trapped on this rock for centuries. If you can get me back to Vanaheim, I'll do whatever you want." And just to skip over the coy smirk and him asking "anything?", she kissed him. She certainly didn't kiss him because she was so attracted to him that it was scary, of course not.
The kiss caught him completely by surprise. She wiped the smug grin from his face. Suddenly he was staring in shock and his pale face was pink. One kiss was all it took to steal his smile.
"Please take me home," she pleaded.
After taking her through the portal to Vanaheim, Loki thought of nothing else but Sigyn Freyadottir. It should be embarrassing. Was a kiss from a pretty girl really all it took to
completely derail Loki's plans? He thought of that builder and old King Thrym and the scores of frost giants who were desperate for Freya's hand in marriage.
He always thought the idea of everyone falling in love with Freya was slightly ridiculous but maybe there was something to it. As if he didn't need another reason to hate being a frost giant.
A curse that made him obsessed with Freya and her kin was just rude.
After being gone for centuries and presumed dead, Sigyn fit in back in Vanaheim about as well as she did on Midgard. She was surrounded by strangers with faces she barely remembered.
Her mother and sisters weren't happy to have her back once the initial euphoria wore off.
She could feel their resentment whenever they had to make space for her. For her part, it took all her willpower not to ask why no one ever bothered to look for her in the first place. She felt anxious and bitter all the time. Loki stole her smile just by doing what she asked.
Loki could've confronted Heimdall when he snuck Sif and the warriors three to Midgard. He could've lured Laufey into a trap and gained Odin's favor. He could've sent soldiers or the
Destroyer to eliminate Thor and everyone else who'd betrayed him.
He didn't know how he ended up going to Vanaheim instead. The ceremonial armor with horned helm stayed on Asgard. He was back in his black and green leather armor. His feet took him to Sessrumnir, Freya's hall. Sigyn was in the garden looking more lost at home than she'd looked back on Midgard.
"How does it feel to be home?" He asked.
"Fine, I guess. How does it feel to be king of Asgard?" She asked.
"Fine, I guess," he said.
They shared a brief smile.
"I don't… know what I'm doing here," he said, fidgeting with his fingers.
"Me neither. I don't know what you're doing here, I mean. I know what I'm doing here," she lied.
"Aren't you supposed to be kinging back on Asgard?"
"It's all about to fall apart," he said with a snort. "All I'll have waiting for me on Asgard is a dungeon cell."
"That sucks," she said. "What happened?"
"I'm a frost giant," Loki said.
"Uh huh?" She said after a long silence.
"You've been on Midgard too long," he chuckled. More solemnly, he said, "I suppose that I came here to say goodbye."
"Where are you going?" She asked, ignoring the knot in her stomach.
"I don't know. I just know I can't stay on Asgard. I don't belong there," he said. "I don't belong anywhere."
Why did the thought of never seeing Loki again terrify her more than the thought of never seeing her family again?
"You're going to think I'm nuts," she said. "I don't even know you."
"That makes two of us," he said. "I'm not… a nice person."
He was nicer than he realized but she wasn't going to say so just yet.
"I'm not nice either," she said grinning.
He took her hand and for a while they just stood in silence, just staring at their clasped hands.
"You plague my thoughts, Freyadottir," he said.
"Sorry," she said and shrugged.
"Come with me," he said, suddenly.
"Yeah, took you long enough," she said. She glanced back at her mother's hall. "But I need to
leave a note. Don't want Mom to freak out when she notices I'm gone." Loki moved his hands with a flourish, conjuring a pen and piece of paper.
"That," she said, taking the pen and paper. "Was really cool."
"I can teach you," he said. He stepped closer and gave her a mischievous smile. "There are so many things I could teach you."
"Says the guy who went beet red and can't focus on kinging anymore because of a little peck," she replied grinning.
Loki pouted. She had to kiss him again. He turned what should've been another little peck into the sort of kiss that stole her breath.
"Okay, you know more than I thought," she said.
He winked at her. She tucked her goodbye note under the door. Holding hands and smiling, they stole away.
The Blacksmith of a Thousand Keys
Tumblr media
At first glance, Loki is a normal young woman: she is enjoying life, studying magic in Asgard and Midgard, and has been staunchly single since the tragic loss of her first love. Few of her friends know that Loki belongs to a great order of Midgard mages that protect people from supernatural beings of the dimension. One day, Loki is attacked by one of these creatures and seriously injured. It quickly becomes clear that the attack couldn't have happened properly, so Asgard, Vanaheim and Nidavellir sends his elite man Sig to Midgard to clarify the matter together with Loki. Sig is not only attractive, arrogant and flirty - but also one of the best blacksmiths in all 9 worlds - all things that really get on Loki's nerves. But he's also so forbidden sexy that soon she won't be able to resist him anymore...
The enemy who knew too much
Tumblr media
In a shipwreck, the only 3-year-old Sigyn falls into the clutches of human traffickers. She is abducted to a strange world and trained as an assassin there. As a young woman, she seeks her roots and makes the long journey to Nidavellir, where a bitter war is raging between the clans and the dwarves. When Sigyn is badly injured in an attack, they were saved by the Asgardians of all people. She regains her strength in one of Asgard's great mansions. But their rescue is not free. In Asgard, she is led before Odin, who does not reveal the origin of her goods to her, but also tells her as a high-ranking noble who keeps her captive in one of his great houses. She becomes Asgard's plaything in the Dwarf War and even if Sigyn does everything to prevent this - she has no idea that the games about her person have only just begun. Although she makes powerful enemies with it: the king of Jotunheim, who would like to see her dead...
Desire in the darkness
Tumblr media
Would you choose love if you knew how it would end?
Since childhood, Loki has lived as a loner who doesn't let anyone into his heart. Because Loki has dreams that show him the future of the people he loves. He often knows years in advance what will happen to everyone around him. But he can't tell anyone.
Sigyn dreams of the most beautiful places in the world, but after the death of her mother, she only takes part in life's exciting moments as a silent observer. That is about to change when she meets Loki and the two fall madly in love.
Until Loki dreams of Sigyn's future... And he seeks help from the person who betrayed him before.
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman
Tumblr media
Signy is small. Unfortunately somehow too small. And she wishes for nothing more than a few inches more height. However, these are the least of their problems at the moment, because Sigyn hates snow, can't ski and thinks ski instructors are arrogant machos who want to tow away everything with a breast. But she of all people is persuaded to swap the crocuses for ice flowers for a week and to accompany her mother Skadi's best friend on her skiing holiday. There it turns out that in truth... everything is much worse!
Instead of the promised relaxation, Sigyn expects a lot of bruises, an unwanted blind date and eccentric pensioners who apparently have something to hide. And Loki. Loki who can ski so perfectly and embodies all of Sigyn's prejudices. Unfortunately, he's also insanely charming and hot...

She refused to belong to any man, as she was perfectly happy on her own, loved and cherished by her parents. This story will soon become a fanfiction 😊 See you on AO3 in a few weeks!
A dangerous longing
Tumblr media
A look at the naked corpse of a woman found in the Asgard River, and no one else, Sigyn the daughter of Frayers is a princess of Vanaheim that begins to riddle "whom she wears a bridal dress". The dead woman lies on a white cloth. A silver ring is on his left hand. The words "48 hours, 12 minutes, 38 seconds" are scratched into her torso. Who is the killer who directed Frayer's daughter to? Who was "the groom"? This conspiracy leads into the ranks of Asgard and Iduna will do everything to solve the murder of her sister to bring about justice!
Wagner Sigyn Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Freya was in trouble, and once again, Odin had sent him, Loki, to find a solution. Well, not any solution, truly. The giants wanted a bride, and not any bride, of course, they wanted the Goddess of love and Beauty, Freya. No other shared her looks, her charms, her grace and refinement… Well, maybe he did, but that was another story.
Loki knew the Giants would not accept any other maiden, yet, he still had to roam the roads of Midgard in the foolish hope he would find some worthy substitute for Freya.
Midgard was pointless. Mortals might be charming, but their beauty was fleeting. Vanaheim was the realm who had witnessed the birth of Freya, yet none of its flowers shared her radiance. Light Elves from Alfheim could have done the trick, but none would accept such bargain.
Maybe he could offer the Giants some treasures from the Dwarves mines? Loki pondered the question for some time before realizing that in the whole wide world, there are nothing more valuable than the love of a worthy woman, her beauty, her delight. They would never accept anything else, would they?
Wandering the streets of Nidavellir gloomily, he mournfully tried to imagine himself in front of Odin, Freya, Feyr and the rest, admitting his defeat. The task Odin had given him was truly impossible! No other goddess would do!
Then, when he had lost all hope, he heard a voice, and felt a warm hand on his back.
“Sir?”, the melodious voice asked, “Are you quite well? You look so sad. May I help you?”
And there she was, his impossible treasure!
Long wavy reddish hair, eyes bluer than the Vanir seas, a sweet demeanor, and a smile that would have melted the Jotun mountains. Yes, she was perfect. The Giants would love her!
“The sight of you gives me health and joy, my sweet”, the God of Mischief cooed, “Please, tell me your name”
The maiden blushed prettily, visibly charmed by his words. Gods, she was adorable. Loki felt desire rising inside of him, however he had to ignore it. She was not for him, but for the giants. Yes, that gentle little lady was a perfect replacement for Freya, and the Giants would be all over her, their dirty hands soiling her ivory skin. That thought alone made Loki feel nauseous and furious…. Yet, he did not have the choice, did he?
“My name is Sigyn”, the maiden replied, curtsying to him, as if he were a Prince or a King. So courteous and polite! What a tragedy to sacrifice her to those brutes!
They talked a little, and the more they did, the more charmed Loki was by her wit and her intelligence. And the more he did not want to let her go.
The more he wanted her for himself.
The Hel with Freya and the Asgardian gods! He would not let the Giants take his Sigyn. For she would be his, from then on.
While the Gods thought he was looking for Freya’s replacement, Loki courted Sigyn, and married her. He found a quiet, lovely place by the river, and build a comfortable home for himself and his bride, and the children he was sure she would give him. Ah, the things a man would do for the love of a charming woman! Thanks to a spell, he hid Sigyn’s existence from Odin and Heimdall. They would never find her, and so, never give her to those awful giants.
Freya would have to go, but better her than Sigyn.
When the Gods left for Valhalla, Loki stayed behind. Many wondered why, others thought it was because he hated the Aesirs, but in truth, he had a family waiting for him, and for whom he would have sacrificed Heaven itself.

Nobody was allowed to see her story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Freya had three great treasures she hid from everyone’s eyes in Sessrumnir. The first one was a coat of falcon feathers that allowed you to turn into a bird and fly in the sky. The second one was a magnificent necklace, manufactured by the Dwarves. And last but not least, there was Freya’s most precious treasure. No one knew what it was, though everyone had their theory, and tried to guess.
Another jewel? Another magical item? So many gods and proud warriors had tried to penetrate into Freya’s castle to discover the nature of this “most precious treasure”. However none had succeed. Nobody was allowed to see it…
Actually, nobody was allowed to see her.
Yes, the treasure was actually a person, and not any person. This was the daughter of Freya herself, Sigyn. No one knew Freya had a child with the dwarf Iwaldi, except for the Vanir queen’s closest friends and family. So, of course, no one could have guessed the identity of this treasure.
Freya simply adored her daughter. Some might have said she loved her too much, and her fear of one day losing her, made the queen excessively careful, surrounding her child with care, and love, but also smothering her with her terror someone would take Sigyn from her, or hurt her.
The young princess grew up alone, with no friend to play with, or talk to, as Freya trusted no one enough to allow them to meet her beloved child.
Sigyn loved her mother, but was tired of this loneliness. Of course, she had her books, for which she was grateful, yet, she yearned for something more. She longed for a companion who would understand her, who would talk to her, make her smile, make her laugh. How happy she would be to spend time with them!
Her mother did not trust gods and mortals, but she might not be so wary of pets and other animals. During one of the few walks outside her mother had granted her, Sigyn saw from afar the most beautiful mare. She wished to approach and feed her some carrots, and the queen, foreseeing some danger had first refused. However, after seeing the pain in her daughter’s eyes, she agreed.
“Don’t stay too long, and don’t go too near… She could hurt you!”, Freya warned her.
But Sigyn was enchanted by the animal, caressing her, whispering sweet things into her ear, feeding her all the carrots she could conjure.
Freya sighed in defeat, and let the horse into her stables, where Sigyn could visit her whenever she wanted.
“She is pregnant”, Sigyn had cried in delight, “Soon, we shall have a little one!”
When the foal turned out to have eight legs, Freya screamed in horror, while Sigyn was delighted.
“He shall be so fast”, she said in wonder, while her mother looked at the mare with growing suspicion.
With her most powerful seidr, Freya gave the mare back her original form, and Loki appeared. The Queen was furious, ready to slay the intruder, but it was too late. Sigyn was in love with the God of Mischief.
She prayed, and begged her mother to spare her lover.
Eventually, Freya granted her wish, and though she hated Loki, she agreed to marry them.
And this is how Freya’s most precious treasure, became Loki’s very own treasure and delight.
The Secret of the Library Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Sigyn had always loved books. Even before she learned to read, she loved their shape, their smell, and the pretty illustrations. Her grandfather, Njord, used to tell her all about their stories: how the dashing hero saved the beautiful princess, while slaying ugly, terrifying monsters.
That soon became a very good reason and source of motivation to learn and read by herself, discovering worlds and realms she had never dared to dream of.
She read a lot of novels, but also many volumes on Geography, History and Mathematics. People now called her the “Scholar princess”, and Sigyn did not mind. She took pride in every new thing she learned, opening schools in Vanaheim, so her passion for knowledge could be shared with the rest of the Vanirs.
She wished she could stay home, among her books forever, but soon, the Queen of Asgard, Frigga, started looking for brides for her sons. And so, Sigyn and her sisters had to go to the Golden realm to be officially presented to the royal family.
The first thing she did after their arrival was to look for the royal library. Who cared about those princelings, when she could be devouring new books?
All she desired in the Nine worlds was to stay there, at least for the duration of their visit. Truthfully, no one really needed her. The princes would find fine brides with her sisters, all beautiful and accomplished. They were perfect queen candidates, while Sigyn only ever loved her books.
Sigyn was rather surprised to find another avid reader, enjoying some volume on Seidr, under the staircase. She had willingly avoided the Princes, and yet, one of them had crossed her path, their common interest bringing them together in a way that she could never have imagined.
For weeks, Sigyn and Prince Loki exchanged opinions on the books they had read, laughing together at scenes that they had found excessively humorous, or mourning characters they had liked.
Her last night in Asgard arrived much too quickly, and Sigyn’s heart started to weep at the idea of leaving her friend. Who would she talk to about books, and share her love for all those epic stories and fascinating discoveries with, once she was back in Vanaheim?
“I need to show you something”, Loki said on their last encounter.
Sigyn followed him in a part of the library she had not yet explored, and gasped in wonder when her friend opened a secret passage, dark and sinuous. But Sigyn’s sense of adventure was not to be doubted. She was a Valkyrie’s daughter, after all. When Loki grabbed her hand, she giggled and went with him without any hesitation.
The passage led to another library, hidden from the other gods, only known by the AllFather himself.
“I found out its existence by accident”, Loki explained, “All those books are forbidden, but now, we can read them!”
The young Vanir shared her friend’s enthusiasm, barely able to focus on which side of the room, which selves she wanted to explore first. There were so many precious volumes, some nearly legendary, as she had heard of them, but thought them lost forever in the fires of war. Some were from Alfheim, other from Jotunheim, and of course, others from Vanaheim. Odin must have had them stolen when he conquered the other realms, all those centuries ago.
Sigyn felt a little angry that all those treasures were now out of reach for their own people, hidden away, with no one but Glad of War to read and enjoy them. Did he even read them? Probably. The AllFather was known to enjoy a good book from time to time, but he could never give those volumes the care and time and interest they deserved.
All of these should have been sent back to their previous owners, it would have been the fair and just thing to do. Yet, to protest and demand the books’ restitution, would have meant to admit she knew of this secret library’s existence.
She would be in deep trouble, and so would Loki.
Sigyn sighed in defeat. Odin was all powerful, and Vanaheim was too weak to lose Asgard’s protection. This was a battle they could not win.
Suddenly, she felt Loki’s arms snake themselves around her waist, and his lisps caress the skin of her neck.
“Stay with me”, he pleaded, “Don’t go back to Vanaheim. Be my wife, Sigyn”
The young princess turned around and smiled at her beloved, letting him kiss her as much as he pleased.
She did not like the AllFather, but she did love Loki. And maybe as a Princess of Asgard, she could one day free those books, and let them find their rightful owners? This was her hope and ambition. But this would be for another day…

Part 19
So many different universes, so many different possibilities. And in some loves Sigyn and their different stories. Pictures and brief information have been written about some of these possibilities.
But what is her full story, we don't know. But we can spin them further in our thoughts ^^
The whole project here serves to show the possibilities and potential that Sigyn would have had within the Marvel Universe. How she could have been reintroduced, her story made new and more exciting. #JusticeForSigyn stands for creating Sigyn content because Marvel doesn't give us any.

The light of the silent Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
It had all started in darkness. Darkness, not silence, though. There were sounds, some melodious, some terrible. The drops of poison falling into her bowl were terrible. The screams of her husband as they burnt his skin and eyes were pure torture for the both of them. To soothe his pains and grief, Sigyn would sing to him old lullabies she used to hum to Vali and Narvi before they fell asleep in her arms. Such sweet burden, they were. They would coo and giggle as their mother tended to their needs, and bring so much joy to their parents and older siblings.
All gone now, but their guts Odin used to make Loki’s chains.
Sigyn’s heart was forever broken, she knew there was no coming back from such despair. One could be swallowed by it, or let hatred consume their heart as they swore revenge. She knew her spouse had chosen the later, the fires of rancor and resentment burning in his green eyes. She, on the other hand, felt lost. She had always been so trusting and naïve, thinking the Aesirs were her family, and that, even if they disliked Loki, they would never hurt her children.
She had been wrong. Oh so wrong… And her sons had paid for her childish gullibility.
Then Odin came, taunting them, offering to release her from her task.
“Ragnarok will soon come”, the AllFather declared, “And I need all my Valkyries by my side, most of all the Friend of Victory. Leave Loki’s side, and come do your duty, Sigyn”
Sigyn blinked, before exchanging a look with her husband. Loki seemed concerned for a moment, but she just laughed.
“Odin, are you serious?”, the goddess asked bitterly, “you killed my children, tortured my husband, and you expect me to follow you loyally and serve you, as if nothing happened? How dare you!”
But the king of the gods took her refusal badly. Suddenly, the Einherjars took her from her husband’s side, and forced her mouth open.
“You have insulted me too many times, woman”, Odin cursed, “Your punishment shall be no more songs or soothing words for your husband. You shall be silent.”
And with a knife forged by her own father, the guard cut off Sigyn’s tongue, throwing it at Odin’s feet.
They all went away, as quickly as they had come. Sigyn stayed on the ground for the longest time, crying, in pain, trying not to choke on her own blood.
She wanted to scream, but no sound came from her mouth. She would be silent from now on, as the AllFather had ordered it. However, if they thought this would stop her from helping her beloved, they were wrong.
Despite her own agony, she found back her bowl, and took back her place besides Loki, shielding him from the snake’s poison, her light appeasing his torment and faithfully guiding him out of the darkness.
Tudor Sigyn (AU) story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Tudor Sigyn
Lady Sigyn of Vanaheim had never been anywhere in her entire life. Her mother being a widower, she had more freedom than most women ever dreamed to have. Yet, she knew her daughters had to be virtuous and have an impeccable reputation if they wanted to marry men of noble birth. Vanaheim, centuries ago, had been a little kingdom, and their mother was very proud of this fact, even though they had lost their royal crown and had to bend the knee to neighboring high lords. Still, Lady Freya hoped her girls would marry princes or very important noblemen, and therefore, their behavior had to be faultless.
Her sisters had already found worthy matches, but Sigyn still remained a spinster. In her dreams, she had found a handsome knight who would carry her very far from her mother’s castle. He would love her and accept her as she was, and never let her go. However, she knew that life was not a dream, and full of responsibilities. The lord her mother would eventually pick for her would not be as pleasant as the one in her dreams, and she would have to be his dutiful and obedient wife, giving him as many male heirs as her weak body could bear, whether she liked it or not.
So, when her old friend, Anna von Jülich-Kleve-Berg, asked her for a favor, she knew this was her only way out of this dire fate. Anna had been chosen to become King Henry VIII’s new wife and seemed excited at the idea of becoming his queen. Sigyn, at the news, was more concerned.
Terrible rumours were circulating about the king, and how he had broken his first wife’s heart so badly she had died, how he had executed the second on false accusations, and how he had let the third die after she had finally given him his precious male heir. Sigyn was no tattletale, but she could not let her friend marry such a man without knowing what to except from such a dreadful match.
But Anna knew all of this, and still wanted to go to England.
“Better being Queen of England than staying here, a burden to my family, don’t you agree?”, she said, with a sad smile, before adding, “That portrait Sir Holbein made of me was so beautiful! I am sure the king will love it… and me.”
Sigyn sighed, trying to repress a shiver running down her spine, thinking of all the king’s brides, and how they had probably thought the same.
The journey was long and arduous, but when they reached Dover, the future Queen’s lady-in-waiting breathe England’s air for the first time and laughed to herself. She had always wanted to travel, well, her wish had been granted. She only hoped her friend’s happiness would blossom at the king’s court.
Around New Year’s Eve, they reached Rochester Abbey and stopped there to refresh themselves before meeting the king. There, a few gentlemen were waiting for them, to greet them on English soil. One of them was the most handsome man Sigyn had ever laid eyes on, wearing a ruff, doublet, leather jerkin green with golden snakes embroidered on his sleeves and on his chest, and rubies encrusted as the reptiles’ eyes. He was so elegant and refined the lady felt her breath had been stolen away. She could hear other people talking around her, but she was mesmerized by this striking vision. When the man in question caught her staring, the lady gasped and blushed, trying to hide her embarrass, but he laughed and came to meet his lovely admirer.
“Good morrow to thee, sweet lady”, he started offering his hand to her, “I am Lord Loki Laufeyson. What art thou called?”
“My name is Lady Sigyn Freyadottir, my Lord”, she responded, while offering him her most courteous curtsey.
After a small collation, the future queen went into her apartments, Lady Sigyn stayed in the gardens with her suave suitor. She could feel her heart beating only for him, and knew she would belong to him, heart body and soul, hoping this was an honorable gentleman that would not play with her honor or her virtue, sending her back to Vanaheim in tears and in shame.
That is when the worst happened. Suddenly, they heard screams and shouts coming from the abbey. A man, huge and obese, was running down the stairs, shouting, his eyes mad with fury.
“I like her not!”, he howled loudly, “She looks like a horse!”
Sigyn felt her companion freeze next to her, before seeing him rush to the older man’s side.
“Ah there thou are, Laufeyson!”, he called Lord Loki in quite a familiar fashion.
Her suitor bowed to him with the utmost respect, and Sigyn felt her blood becoming ice in her veins.
She had seen a portrait of the king once, but it had been a poor quality reproduction. Tall, heavy, with a voice that could summon the thunders of war…. Was this her friend’s future husband?
But then…
Forgetting about the handsome lord, Sigyn ran to Anna’s room, finding her in tears, whiter than the sheets.
“I did not know it was him”, she sobbed, “He came into my rooms. I thought it was some rude stranger…”
Her lady-in-waiting nodded and tried to comfort her. She was impressed with Anna’s dignity and gravitas. A true queen, whatever that awful, ugly king said.
“He is disgusting”, Anna admitted, “His smell is awful and his temper short.”
Sigyn took her friend’s hands into hers and looked into her eyes, ready to follow whatever order her future queen would give her.
“Do you want to go home?”, she asked, her voice shaking, knowing the consequences of running away would be ghastly, but maybe better than staying and marrying this king, in a court full of snakes.
“No”, Anne replied bravely, “Everyone excepts me to do my duty, and so I shall”
And so she did. And the king despised her for it, insulting her and humiliating her publicly.
Sigyn tried to give her as much support as she could, but being a foreign lady at the English court was not easy. She needed allies of her own but only found scorn and mockery. Cromwell, the King’s man who had organized the union between Anna – who was now called Anne of Cleves- and the King, was becoming more and more anxious and impatient. He knew his head was about to fall, and from time to time, the tone he used showed how much he blamed the new queen for his failures.
Pitiful man.
Another man was hanging around the Queen’s chambers, and at first, Sigyn thought he was just keeping watch of the new queen for the king. But it turned out, the “Green snake”, Lord Loki Laufeyson, had another prey in mind.
“How farest thou, sweet Lady Sigyn?”, he asked, brushing his long fingers on her sleeve, making her hear beat much too loud, “What ails thee? May I be of service to thee?”
Sigyn let herself cross his green gaze and sighed. Who could resist such courteous manners and gentle words? His voice was softer than the velvet of his doublet, and mesmerized you in a matter of seconds. Some ladies of the court said he was a sorcerer, and something at the back of Sigyn’s mind wondered if they were not right.
Still, she was there to help her queen, not being courted by the men of the evil, ruthless king.
“By your leave”, the lady said, trying to escape Lord Loki’s hold on her, but he was not letting her go.
“My sweet lady”, he called her, “I am enamoured of thee”
Sigyn looked at him, and scoffed. She had let him distract her on the fateful day at Rochester abbey. She should have been with Anna, but instead, she had been in the gardens with him.
“No, my Lord, I shall not hear thee devious, treacherous words”, she answered, holding her head high.
“Are thou deaf to the song of love, dear Sigyn?”, he cooed into her ear, before making his grip on her arm harder, “Or are thou enjoined to another?”
She knew that a Sir Theoric was looking at her in a certain way, but how could she have agreed to marry him, when she knew her heart belonged to Lord Loki… even though she could not trust him.
“I have no lover”, Sigyn whispered, as the man she loved caressed her cheek softly.
“Good. Preserve thy maidenhood”, he declared, “and be my beloved”
“I shall protect thee”, he promised, “and help thee as much as I can”
He pointed the Queen’s rooms and smiled at his beloved, taking her hands in his.
“Wilt thou favour me with thy hand?”, he asked. Sigyn stood a moment, speechless, as she knew she was gambling with her life in this affair. Lord Loki Laufeyson was powerful at court, the descendant of some Norse king, and richer than the king, some said. Why would he pick someone as unimportant and ordinary as she was?
“Everyone says the Queen will be dismissed soon”, Sigyn muttered, “She will accept divorce, and when she goes, I will go with her. Thou know this as well as I do. This match is not advantageous to thee, my lord”
Lord Loki snaked his arms around her waist, and when his lady gasped, he claimed her mouth with a kiss. Sigyn was shocked and afraid someone would see them. Yet, the Queen’s apartments were deserted these days, so they were all alone. Sigyn feared for her reputation, yet, how could she want to free herself from such a sweet embrace?
“My loyal, sweet lady. Marry me”, Loki repeated, kissing her neck, then her collarbone, whispering words of love on her skin.
“Yes”, Sigyn finally answered.
A few months later, the King divorced the Queen, as she became his “beloved sister”, and she was gifted with the castles of Richmond and Ever manor. Sigyn followed her in her exile, and her husband came with her too.

The heir to the throne Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
To no one’s surprise, Princess Sigyn Freyadottir had been chosen as the next queen of Vanaheim, and therefore, as her mother’s heir.
The princess, however, was not sure she liked it. She accepted the title of crown princess, as it was her duty to do so, but she did with a heavy heart. Becoming heir to the throne of Vanaheim meant she would lose all her freedom. No more travelling with her friends and going on reckless adventures. No more practicing dangerous spells with the witches and Loki… No more… Loki.
She knew her handsome, charming prince wanted to be king of Asgard. As a princess of Vanaheim, she would have been an advantageous match. But as the future Vanir queen, it became impossible. She could not be queen of both Asgard and Vanaheim – so many treaties had seen to this.
So she had to renounce him. Renounce their love. She would not ask him to forget about Asgard’s crown and be her consort, she knew what it meant for him. It was not about his father’s throne, but his father’s love. To be chosen by him as heir to the crown of Asgard would mean Odin finally saw him, out of his brother’s shadow. It would mean he loved him.
As for Sigyn, she knew none of her sisters would be fit for the part of queen. They were all lovely, and hated responsibilities. Her uncle Feyr always praised them for their beauty, and Sigyn for her intelligence and common sense. The Vanir council had insisted she was the best choice for the good of the realm, and she unfortunately had to agree.
She had to let Loki go, forget her heart and do her duty, as she was sure her Prince of Asgard would do his.
But then, one day, something incredible and heartbreaking happened.
As she retired to her rooms, she was surprised to find some man sitting on her bed, his head low, and his face full of tears. It took her a moment to realize it was Loki, as his pain seemed to have transformed his appearance. Where was her prince, so full of charm and mischief? He was now but only the shadow of the man he once was. However Sigyn’s heart still recognized him and shattered at seeing him in such a state. Why was he in her rooms instead of Asgard? Had something terrible happened to the royal family? She ran to his side and knelt in front of him, gently caressing his wet cheek.
“My love”, she started gently, “who dared hurt you?”
Loki took notice of her and kissed softly her fingers, before pulling her into his arms, nestling his face into her neck, breathing the perfume of her hair.
“I needed this”, he whispered, “I needed you”
Sigyn felt lost, torn between her love and desire for Loki, and her duty as heir to the throne of Vanaheim.
“You know I will always be here for you if you need me”, she reminded him, “Vanaheim and Asgard have always been allies, after all”
But Loki laughed, and cried, and laughed again, leaving her arms and standing up, his gaze lost in some terrible dream.
“But I am not Asgardian”, his voice broke and Sigyn gasped, as he revealed to her his true nature. Now, a Jotun was standing in her rooms, his blue skin marred with sacred runes, and his eyes shining like the most precious rubies.
“Would you still love a beast, Sweet Sigyn?”, he asked, as a challenge.
However, there was no challenge for Sigyn, as she knew she would always love Loki, whatever his nature or the circumstances.
“I am the son of Laufey. Odin only adopted me. Thor is his heir, not me… I was never going to be his heir”, he recounted, stammering a little on the last part, under the weight of this terrible reveal.
Sigyn crossed the little distance there was between them and kissed him, showing him she accepted him as he was, and that he was still king and master of her heart.
Loki would not be King of Asgard, and did not want of Jotunheim. But here, in Vanaheim, he would be happy, Sigyn promised, she would make sure of it.

WandaVision Sigyn Story by @roruna
Tumblr media
Agatha Harkness wasn't the only person who felt when Wanda hexed the town of Westview, New Jersey. While everyone else in New Asgard were reuniting with the loved ones they'd lost in the Snap, Sigyn was quietly resenting them.
It wasn't fair. Loki was her joy and Thanos took him from her in such a way that she'd never get him back. Her husband was dead and there was nothing in New Asgard worth staying for.
She told herself she was investigating that huge surge of chaos magic because she wanted to protect the realm of Midgard. But most of her hoped that all that magic would tear her body or mind apart.
She recognized Vision, the Avengers' construct, first. Thanos had slain him too. Or so she thought. Once she saw Wanda, radiating love and chaos magic, Sigyn understood. She understood not only what was happening in Westview but she also understood Wanda.
Wanda's grief, love and desire to unmake her loss mirrored Sigyn's own. And what this mortal had done through sheer power, Sigyn could mirror with mastery of Vanir magic, a tiny bit of borrowed chaos magic and one of Loki's old daggers.
Sigyn recognized Agatha Harkness as a fellow "magical girl" and she was certain that Agatha recognized her as one as well. So while "Agnes Bohner" lived in the house on Wanda's left, "Penelope and Lawrence Lacroix" moved into the house on Wanda's right.
"Penny and Larry are new to the neighborhood too," Agnes announced cheerfully when Sigyn went to introduce herself to Wanda.
The nicknames stuck like gum in her hair and Sigyn decided that this was the first shot fired in this magical cold war. She didn't know what Agatha wanted with Wanda. Her concern was to keep the Hex going. If the mortal witch became a threat to that goal then Sigyn would slay her. "Penny" and "Agnes" watched each other like hawks and exchanged vicious zingers, creating a dynamic that parodied a love triangle with Agnes as the "fun, quirky" friend and Penny as the "boring but dependable" one. Their open rivalry for Wanda's attention was fertile soil for many hijinks and shenanigans.
Agnes hosted a barbeque on the same day Wanda had promised to watch Penny perform Shakespeare in the park. Wanda used magic to try and be both places at once and eventually, the bowl of Agnes' State Fair Blue Ribbon chilli ruined Penny's historically accurate Tudor gown during her big soliloquy.
Agnes and Penny ran against each other for treasurer of the Westview Ladies' Society with
Agnes as the incumbent. Penny won the election but it turned out that the only members of the Ladies' Society were actually Anges, Penny and Wanda so the group was dissolved.
Agnes and Penny competed viciously but whoever won, they both lost. This dynamic played
itself in the end. Wanda realized she was holding the town hostage. Agatha tried to take all her power.
Sigyn tried to enchant her into rehexing the town. Wanda stripped Agatha of her magic and trapped her in her Agnes persona. The resurrected Loki crumbled to dust in Sigyn's arms. Good triumphed over evil. Wanda sacrificed her selfish happiness to free the innocent mortals of Westview. Agatha was imprisoned so she could harm no one. Sigyn swore revenge on the Scarlet Witch.
The Mystery of a Cold Murder story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
It had only taken Amora a thousand years to realize the one she loved and wanted was Loki. For centuries, she had craved Thor, but one day, the penny dropped: Thor was boring and they had nothing in common, while Loki was her soulmate and her equal in good looks, intelligence, magical powers and ruthlessness. They understood each other in a way the Golden Prince never could.
There was an inconvenience though. Loki believed himself in love with another, some meek little princess, uninteresting and dull, pie-baking and without a doubt, the most annoying woman in the Nine realms.
And Loki had chosen THAT as his bride? Of course, he had only married her because she had refused herself to him before having his ring on her finger. She was a foolish goose, but not that stupid apparently. Now, her true love was stuck in a loveless union with that half-dwarf tart. He said he loved her, but it was obviously only to keep up appearances, and not look like he had been played and forced to marry some pig-faced virgin to get her into his bed.
Amora waited for Loki to get rid of her, mock her, cast her away, but the longer she waited, the more impatient she grew. Every time she was at court, she saw Sigyn by Loki’s side, her small, graceless hands on his arm. It took the Enchantress all the strength in the Nine realms not to throw herself at the Princess and grab that dull little girl by her unruly blondish hair, and threw her from the Bifrost, with hope and prayers they would never hear from her ever again.
That’s when the idea came into her head. Loki could be an untrustworthy snake, but he was hers. Yet, it was obvious something was stopping him from getting rid of this cumbersome wife. Maybe Frigga had taken the girl under her wing, and he did not want to break his mother’s heart? Or was this a political alliance, as she was daughter to the Vanir queen and niece to the King of Nidavellir? Well, if he did not act, she would have to.
And throwing her rival from the Bifrost seemed like a wonderful idea, and a marvelous way to unleash her anger and frustration.
Tricking Sigyn into following her was so easy Amora could have cried. THIS was supposed to be the Trickster’s wife? Poor Loki bound to such an idiot for the rest of time! Heimdall was madly in love with the Enchantress, so when she asked him a favor and to bring her some flowers, he obeyed and deserted his post for a minute. That was more than enough to stab the goddess of Fidelity and push her into the void, as she had planned.
For months, people wondered what had happened, before eventually finding the rotting corpse of that “poor, dear Sigyn we all miss so very much”, to quote the AllMother.
Loki had found solace into her arms, so Amora smiled, enjoying her lover’s kisses, until suddenly, she felt a deep pain in her stomach. The Enchantress gasped at the sight of her green dress stained with blood, and a soiled blade coming out of her belly.
“This is for Sigyn”, her Prince said, coldly.
And then, there was nothing but the darkness.

The Lost Crown story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Loki had enough, and was furious. The AllFather, and even his own mother!, had decided to marry him off to some boring, stupid little princess from Vanaheim. Sigyn was her name, and if Amora, her cousin, was to be believed, she was the most insipid girl that had ever lived in the Nine realms.
When he had announced the blonde Enchantress he would have to marry the Vanir princess, she had laughed and mocked him, before actually showing him so pity. That last thing infuriated him the most.
“Oh, and she’s full of neuroses, crying all the time, from dawn to sunset, always whining about her poor nerves, when she’s not cackling like a chicken about the last gossip with her loud friends”
The Prince felt panic overflowing him, picturing himself trying to read or take a nap, while his legally bound companion got on HIS nerves, for the rest of time. Ragnarök would be a sweet relief… Well, he could find a way to make it happen quicker, if she was really that annoying.
“She is obsessed with two things”, Amora continued, counting his betrothed’s many faults on her elegantly manicured hands, “First, baking pies. Forget about your hall being clean and neat. It will be filled with fruits peelings, and flour, and eggs shells… all day long! You’ll get so tired of pies, you’ll become sick at the smell of pastries!”
He could actually feel himself a little nauseous, only thinking about it… and he used to love pies! Damn that foolish girl for spoiling one of his favorite desserts!
“And the second”, the Enchantress smiled, and pointed at him, “Well, it’s you, dear friend. Sigyn is absolutely, completely, obsessed with you!”
“Me?”, Loki asked, totally bewildered by the news.
“Oh yes!”, his former magic teacher replied, “She is gaga over you, has a collection of little statues and paintings of you in her room, makes dolls to your liking out of wool or any cloth that falls into her hands, writes you poems, talks about you all the time. So pathetic!”
She laughed again, and then cooed mockingly, “She is going to be even worse now that you’ll be hers. She’ll be so clingy and needy, you will never get rid of this nuisance!”
The Prince felt sickened at the thought, and frustrated. That was his luck. For centuries, he had hoped a fair maiden or handsome lord, would take notice of him and pick him over Thor. He had hoped he would be desired and loved by someone… And when that finally happened, it had to be by some mad, delusional, neurotic princess? How unfair!
The day arrived when he had to meet his betrothed, despite trying to avoid it at any cost. He had pretended to be sick, then tried to go far, far away… He had even attempted to get kidnapped by some alien threat, so he would not be there when Sigyn arrived.
His father could not seriously consider marrying him off to that nutcase! It was out of the question.
But his mother insisted, and asked him personally, as a favor, to meet the girl and be civil. So now, he was stuck on Asgard, having to obey and be bounded forever to that loony princess. Why him? Why not Thor? He was the oldest! He should have married first!
Besides, wouldn’t it have been funny to have Thor’s wife completely in love with him? It would have been a pretty revenge for all the times girls had been throwing themselves at his brother’s feet, while ignoring him.
The girl in question was now standing in front of him. At least, she was not ugly. She had blue eyes, and blonde hair… She was pretty, but there were many pretty girls in Asgard and Vanaheim, and none of them were crazy, whiny, obsessive, nervous wrecks.
And he had to marry her… Norns, why?
His betrothed smiled to him, and for a short moment, Loki felt his heart skip a beat, as if he was warming to the idea of this pretty princess in his arms. But then, Amora’s words came back into his mind, burning his brain with pictures of this sweet-looking harpy glued to his side, spying on his every move and questioning them, harassing him, stalking him, making his life a living Hel.
No! Absolutely not! This was not happening! The Prince closed his heart firmly to the Princess, and laughed cruelly at her.
“Do you think for a moment I would actually want you as my wife? Please”, Loki sneered, “I might be forced to marry you, but I will never love you. Plain, boring and tiresome as you are, I fear no one ever will…”
Sigyn gasped and trembled at his words, her eyes suddenly full with tears. The little crown on her head, set with emeralds, diamonds and pearls, oscillated before falling on the ground, as the lady ran away from the throne room.
The Prince looked at the lost crown, his heart feeling all of a sudden heavy with regrets and remorse. He had been especially harsh, hadn’t he? He had wanted to break their engagement and crush her foolish infatuation on him… If she hated him, she would not want to wed him, and he would be free. And that’s what he wanted, didn’t he?
Yes. He wanted nothing but to be free of this dull, disturbed girl. That’s what he wanted… didn’t he?
Suddenly, he was not so sure about it. Grabbing the crown, he ran after his betrothed, hoping he could at least give her back her headpiece … and talk to her.
But when he reached the Bifrost, it was too late.
Sigyn had already jumped, falling into the void, to her death.
Loki stayed a long moment aghast, with the little crown in his hands, last reminder of the one who had loved him, a little too much, loved him to madness, loved him enough to lose her life over him…

The name of the victory bringer
Tumblr media
Born as a girl, she was already a disappointment to her father Vé (Actually Odin's brother in Norse mythology, here in this story they are not siblings!) and was to be cursed by him as four days after her birth her mother died. Vé forbade that his wife's name and daughter's name should never be spoken. And from then on, the little girl who was actually called Sigyn was only called Lumiel (the shadow daughter).
After 8 years, Vé remarries and presents Lumiel as the daughter of a servant who died and was allowed to stay in the house for goodness sake.
Vé new wife Gefion gave birth to 4 sons and Vè overshadowed his new family with appreciation and love. Only for his daughter he had no love and she didn't even know that he was her father. Since, like all servants, she lived and worked in the house.
Until she was old enough and couldn't stand the cold and humiliation anymore and left the house forever. And this is exactly where her journey begins, which in the end should bring her the title Goddess of Victory.
Fairytale Sigyn (Sigyn inspired the Brothers Grimm) Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
While roaming the roads of Midgard in the 19th century, Loki got tired and thirsty, and stopped by a tavern in Germany. His interest got slightly aroused when he saw two men, approximatively the same height, one with blonde hair, the other with brown hair, but with similar features, long noses, small eyes, thin lips… Brothers, probably. What fascinated the God of Mischief was not the two men’s rather common appearance, but the crowd surrounding them. An old lady, with rather fancy clothes, was finishing telling them a story of a princess falling asleep and being awoken by some charming prince. How very unoriginal! Yet, the two brothers were taking notes, hung on her every word.
This strangely annoyed Loki, as he needed to be the center of attention, at all times.
“I have a story!”, the Jotun said, a malicious smile on his lips.
“Do you, Mein Herr?”, the Blonde brother said, “In this case, we would like to hear it”
The crowd agreed, and Loki sat on the most comfortable chair, ready to start his tale…
“Well”, the God began, “It goes like this…”
Once upon a time, in the dwarven kingdom, there was a Princess so beautiful and so sweet even the hardest, gruffest men could not help but love her. Her name was Sigyn. Her father, Iwaldi, was the brother of the King, Eitri, and her mother was Freya, the Goddess of Beauty. Many princes and noblemen asked for her hand, but her mother refused them all, as none were good enough for her daughter.
One day, though, Eitri’s wife died, leaving him without an heir. His subjects all wondered what pained him the most: the death of his spouse or the fact he did not have a son. For weeks, the king was quite depressed, but eventually he came out of his grief. His queen had made him promise he would find another woman, one more beautiful and more accomplished than she was. Did such treasure even exist? His messengers travelled through the Nine realms, looking for their master’s new bride. They came back with paintings of numerous ladies and princesses, from Alfheim, Asgard, Midgard and even Muspelheim, but none seemed to satisfy the king. Freya, however, seemed discontented by her brother-in-law’s quest. With the Queen’s death, she was now the most important lady in the Dwarven realm. She had acquired much more power in Nidavellir than she ever had, and she was not keen on the idea to relinquish it. She could not marry Eitri herself, as Iwaldi still lived. If only she could find some white goose, pure and naïve, that might become her puppet?
Freya smiled as she looked at her daughter. Yes, Sigyn would have to do.
Eitri at first was reluctant to marry his own niece: incest was such a Vanir thing to do, but when he saw the princess, he became hopelessly smitten, and decided she had to become his queen.
Sigyn was sickened at the mere thought of marrying her uncle. She had to find a way to escape before the wedding. However, her mother nagged, and nagged, and nagged, so much that she had to obey her every word.
Seeing Eitri so enamored, Freya demanded from Sigyn she would ask her uncle to grant her any fanciful whims that might cross her mind. The dwarf king was so taken with his niece that he conceded to anything she might ask.
Dresses color of the Sun? Not a problem! Jewels made from his most precious mines? Why of course! Weapons he had forged himself? Well, as his queen, it was only natural …
Sigyn was tired of all of it. The wedding was getting closer, and she did not want it. Yes, of course, his gifts were more than generous… but at a price she refused to pay.
She thought of a way to anger the king, so he would lose interest, and found one, though she felt extremely guilty.
Eitri had this dragon, a gigantic beast, terrifying, man-eating, fire-breathing, “dragons do not sow”, that kept a cave full of his gold.
So she asked for his skin, firmly certain the king would refuse and finally realize she was just some capricious little girl, unworthy of him.
However, the same night, Eitri’s men came to her room, bringing her the dragon’s skin.
He would never let her go… Time to run!
She turned the dragon’s skin into a disguise, making herself unrecognizable. From a princess of two realms, she was now a peasant girl no one would notice. She could not stay in Nidavellir, of course, or go to Vanaheim, as her mother would force her to marry her uncle.
Asgard seemed like the best place to hide. So many people, of all origins, wandered the land of heroes. A sloven like her would not catch the eye of a prince, but she could still have a quiet life, free from her family.
And so, Sigyn started working in a farm, drawing water from the well, cleaning up the stables, under the insults and the despise of the commonfolk. It was not nice, but better than being married to her uncle, she decided.
She lived in a small shed, deep in the forest, which gave her some well-earned privacy. From time to time, she would get out of her disguise and wear one of the many dresses Eitri had given to her, admiring her real appearance in her mirror. Ah, to be herself again! How wonderful! Would she ever been allowed to walk proudly in the sun, as the princess she was born to be? Well, maybe not… But at least, this poor life was incest-free… So that was something to be thankful for.
One morning, as she had not yet dressed into her magical dragon skin, she heard a noise coming from outside. Maybe some beast?
Forgetting her disguise, Sigyn took one of her axes and adventured herself carefully on her threshold. She saw no animal, but a young man, leaning against a tree, watching her with interest.
“I was told a witch was living in this forest, not a beautiful princess”, he mused to himself, with a smile.
Sigyn felt herself blushing at his words, but did not let go of her weapon. Sometimes, monsters took a beautiful appearance to charm you, before devouring you, and looking at her visitor, the princess was not sure what his intentions were.
“I am Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard, my Lady”, he greeted her, leaving a kiss on her hand, “May I ask for your name?”
Sigyn hesitated a moment. A prince! A very handsome prince, charming and gentle, coming to her door, just like in the tales! If they were in such stories, Prince Loki would fall in love with her, marry her, save her from this unspeakable fate, and they would live happily ever after.
However, this was not a tale, but the real world.
So she fled from the scene, turning herself into a sparrow. It was quite a surprise to her when her prince mirrored her spell, becoming a hawk, ready to swoop down on its prey. But Sigyn was smart and quick. She found a way to escape, and hid in the lowest trees. It was her forest, after all, she knew it by now, while the prince did not, the tick branches protecting her from him.
She could not go back to her shed, so she kept on travelling. A spell had allowed her to take back all her things, including her dresses and dragon skin, however, she had lost one of her rings, and missed it. She also thought more and more of her handsome prince, and how wonderful it would have been to be betrothed to him instead of her uncle.
Yet, this was not to be.
Or was it?
As she reached a new village, she heard some interesting news. Prince Loki had decreed that he would marry the woman whose finger would fit the ring he had found… Her ring! From what she had heard, Thor was the most popular prince and every girl in the Golden realm wanted to marry him. However, many ladies would not refuse a title of princess, and being married to Loki would allow them to be closer to Thor and see him every day.
How shameless! Her prince surely deserved better than those slatterns! He deserved true love, he deserved someone who would truly love him, care for him, be devoted to him… and not to his brother.
Would her prince protect her against her mother and uncle, if she became his bride? Sigyn’s heart was torn and shattered with doubt. She was terrified he would betray her, that it was all a trap to give her back to Eitri…
Still, if she kept on hiding, would she truly ever live? She had to take a risk… after all, her prince was worth it.
She knew no other maiden could wear her ring as it was magical. So she presented herself to King Odin’s palace, wearing her dragon skin, everyone disgusted with her appearance, ready to shoo her away from the throne room.
However, the moment Loki saw her, he smiled, knelt in front of her, while the courtiers gasped in shock and horror. When he slid the ring to her finger, some fainted, other screamed in protestation.
So, Sigyn let down her dragon skin, revealing her brightest, shiniest dress, color of the sun, with green embroideries. Loki smiled at his bride, before introducing her to his parents, and just like in the tales, they both lived happily ever after, Freya and Eitri eventually accepting the match, as one of their sons would become King of Nidavellir.
Loki stopped, and looked at his audience. Some seemed mesmerized by his story, others not all. One man, a giant the size of Thor snickered, and spat, very rudely: “Loki? Sigyn? Freya? Those are forgotten gods from the old days! There are no gods in fairytales, Dummkopf!”
“Yes”, the old lady who had been telling the Sleeping princess story continued, “Also, I know that tale! It’s not a dragon skin! It’s supposed to be a donkey skin!”
“Meh”, Loki sighed, “A dragon skin is much more interesting. And it was a dragon skin in the original story”
“Lies!”, the crowd chanted, while throwing goblets and glasses at the storyteller’s face, so much that he eventually decided to leave the tavern, his beautiful coat now soiled with beer and various kinds of cheap alcohols.
Those Midgardians used to be so much more welcoming, adoring the stories, made-up or not, he told them.
Was this story true?
Well, dear reader, it is up to you to decide.
The woman in the shadow Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Vanaheim had fallen. King Njord had been executed, and the rest of the royal family sold as slaves. Odin could have used Feyr in his armies, as a soldier, but he was not sure he could trust the son of a traitor with a sword, so he made him work in his farms, his feet and hands deep in the mud and manure. Freya could have become a servant in the palace, but once again, the AllFather did not trust her enough, so he had sold her to some lowly brothel, far from court.
And so, the glorious royal Vanir family lost its power … but not its pride, or its magic. King Njord had cursed Odin before dying, and all his descendants over seven generations. Until now, it did not seem to work, but Sigyn, after seeing her uncle being beaten by some soldiers, as if he was some slave and not the son of a king, decided she had enough.
Enough with the misery, the insults, the humiliation, while Odin sat on his throne, looking at the Vanirs as if they were some puny ants. They were not. They might look weak, but their revenge would swallow him and his House down.
She just needed the right spell to make her grandfather’s curse work. She soon found it: dark blood magic, but it was worth the risk. She would pay any price for Odin to die in the worst agony, after seeing all his children share the same fate. She would be the revenge in the shadows, enjoying their downfall, hoping her grandfather would take pleasure in it too, wherever he was.
It started with Hod. He was a brilliant warrior and Odin could not stop gloating about his archery. However, a terrible accident happened… and the archer lost his sight. How tragic! All of a sudden, he became bitter and enraged. His brother Baldur, one of Odin’s favorites, was betrothed to the beautiful Nanna, whom Hod had loved and craved after for centuries. Hod was blinded by his jealousy so much that he eventually killed Baldur.
Sigyn smiled. Odin cried.
This was going splendidly.
Hermod tried asking the Goddess of Death for his brother’s soul, but it was in vain. He too died on his way back to Asgard. A very foolish fight with a passer-by that could have been easily avoided… but the curse was merciless with Odin’s blood.
Thor was next, but his end was sweeter than most. He fell in love with a mortal from Midgard, Jane, and was exiled by Odin, becoming mortal to live with rest of his days with his beloved. Odin was enraged after losing one of his best warriors.
Vali and Vidur started becoming delusional, losing their minds, crying ‘witches’ and ‘curses’ all around Asgard. The few courtiers who had witnessed Njord’s execution remembered his last words, but said nothing. Odin’s two last sons would not have listened anyway. As far as they were concerned, this had to be the work of the Jotuns, and of their new king, Loki. So they went to the Frozen realm, cries of war following them. However, they were promptly crushed by the enemy, Loki avenging the two brothers he had lost, sending Odin the dismembered corpses of his two sons.
Odin could not move anymore. He was struck by grief, unable to speak, let alone scream. He only longed for the sweet relief of death.
Sigyn granted it to him, slitting his throat, before sending his head as a gift to King Loki.
Her grandfather was now avenged, she could come out of the shadow, and reclaim Vanaheim as her birthright, with the help of her Jotun allies.

The florist Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Sigyn was a pretty peasant girl with flowers in her hair
She loved flowers so much she woke at dawn to collect them
And sell them on the market place during the day.
She did not expect much from life, expect to enjoy her flowers:
Their beauty, their sweet perfume, their delicacy.
One day, she met a prince. Handsome, charming, fascinating.
Even more captivating than her flowers.
Instead of spending her days admiring her roses, and lilies, and carnations
She devoted all of her time to her handsome beloved
He took her to his palace, where all the flowers were tamed captive
The King did not welcome her, as she was a commoner, not a princess
He found her unworthy of his son, a simple homely peasant girl
And accused her of distracting him from his glorious purpose.
One day, at dawn, Sigyn received a lovely bouquet
Of roses, lilies, carnations, violets, and daisies.
She smiled happily, thinking this gift came from her lover
Yet, once she smelled their sweet perfume, she fell ill
Her Prince travelled the Nine realms, in search of a cure
He finally found a rare flower that restored her health
The King was enraged, as he was the one who had poisoned her
So the Prince and his beloved flew from the palace, never to return
And lived the rest of their days, happy and free, surrounded by flowers.
Déjà vu by cascadesfiction

Nightmares and dreams haunt her, drenched in sadness and longing. She lies awake, wide awake, and she thinks of her husband. She misses him terribly, missing every minute of each day that passes without him by her side. Every night when she closes her eyes and lets herself fall into slumber, his name is the first one that comes to mind. The dead cannot be brought back to life. But perhaps, someday, she'll find the strength to forgive him for abandoning her, forsaking the gods for her. Perhaps, sometime tomorrow or the day after that, the gods will be merciful enough to make his promise come true.
"I'll wait for you," she whispers. "And find you, where ever you are, even if it was another universe,
even if it were another lifetime..." She smiles sadly to herself in her bed, "...you will always be my love." She waits for him day and night, every moment she sleeps is torture. Her heart aches. Her blood boils. She wants nothing more than for them both to return together. The worst part about living every day alone is that the emptiness is always there, waiting for him, craving his touch.

If love was easy, you were already my wife Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
King Loki was old, yes, but he was not a fool. Karnilla had told him of his terrible fate, of the excruciating punishment that was waiting for him, in all the timelines. She also said that he could not escape it, or he would have to face even worse consequences.
Worse consequences? What could be worse than being chained to a rock, while a snake dripped venom on your face?
No, no, no, no, no! He had to do everything he could to avoid it!
Some wise person might have told him to ditch the plots and intrigues and become some irreproachable citizen. It had worked for Odin, after all. He could marry some Vanir princess, have her bear him two sons, and play the enlightened monarch, everyone suddenly forgetting the faults of his past. Yet, some terror came over Loki’s brain at the thought. The moment he showed an inch of weakness, they would come for his head, wouldn’t they? Yes, they would. They would free Thor and reinstate him and Odin’s line on the throne of Asgard.
And then, Karnilla’s prophecy would become true. He would have to endure such abominable torment, while his “devoted lady” the only one by his side, failing to help him. Useless women, in truth!
He did not need her, if it was to have his face running with poison at some point.
He wondered who she was. He never had anyone “devoted” to him before. Sif had loved Thor. As for Amora… No, not devoted at all. She would leave him to his fate and laugh at him. Maybe it was the Vanir princess he had just thought about marrying… Did Freya have any daughter to marry? Or maybe she could be a daughter of his – whether he had her with one of his mistresses or a potential wife in the future.
Whoever she was, it seemed she was a common feature in this nightmare. Loki paused a moment, smiling to himself. Karnilla had said she was always with him for his punishment…
Well, if he removed the devoted lady, surely, the whole scene would disappear too. If the snake and the rock kept on waiting for him, the lady in question was of flesh and blood – she could very easily cease to exist. And when she did, so would the rest, and he would be free of the whole thing.
Easy, truly! And at such a small cost. He did not need devotion or love. He needed power and obedient subjects.
So, with a spell, he conjured Karnilla’s vision and focused on the hooded form sitting next to him, holding the bowl over his head. Was she so ugly that she hid her face from him? Oh well, it did not matter. Even if she had been the true essence of beauty, she still would have to go. Under no circumstances would he have endured that punishment. Not even for the most beautiful, devoted lady in the Nine realms.
And so, King Loki obliterated the lady from all existence, from all the timelines. He would never meet her, as she would never exist, but if that meant he escaped the rock and the snake, then, good riddance!
King Loki did escape his punishment, as Thor was freed and killed him. However, in other timelines, other Lokis were not so lucky.
With no devoted lady to hold the bowl, they had to endure the poison, all alone, no one caring for them, no one taking pity on them, no one loving them.
In their dreams, there was a lady, beautiful, kind, with a gentle heart and a soft voice. She would jump into their arms, answer the passion in their kiss with all the love in the Nine realms, and shield them from the venom.
Loki did not understand why he could not find her. If she was in his dreams, then, she had to exist… Why was she out of his reach?
Only King Loki could have answered that… By trying to escape his fate, he had erased his wife and his true and only love from the timelines… And now, Loki was all alone…

Lake of Oblivion Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Loki grew up listening to thousands of stories. But his favorite was the one of the Lady in the Lake of Oblivion. People said that thousands of years ago, a lovely princess from Vanaheim had come to Asgard with her mother, father and sisters. Her name was Sigyn. Everyone loved her, and admire her beauty and kindness. However, one day, her mother decided to marry her to some noble warrior. But the princess did not want it. She dreamed of true love and would not settle for less. The more her parents insisted she married the man of their choice, the more the young lady got depressed. She wanted to forget and be forgotten. So, on the day that was supposed to be her wedding day, she went to the lake, desperate and in tears. Some people said that if you drank the water of that lake, you forgot all your troubles and fell into a peaceful oblivion. But when Sigyn leaned to drink, the legend says she did not see her own reflection, but the one of a handsome prince. She fell in love with him at first sight, and stared at him for so long, that she fell into the dark waters and was never seen again. From time to time, Loki walked down the calm shores of the lake and would sit on a little bench, the closest to the waters. He sang and read poetry to the lake, hoping the lady would hear his voice and come meet him. Yet, she never did…. Until one day. After learning he was not Odin’s son but Laufey’s, Loki felt angry and screamed, shouted, ready to burn Asgard and Jotunheim to the ground. His feet led him to the lake and he laughed when he realized where he was. He decided to look at the waters one more time, but instead of his own reflection, he saw a beautiful lady, smiling at him, holding her hand to him. Loki closed his eyes and let her take him with her into the depth of the lake.
A daughter of queens
Tumblr media
"And here you think you're different than most women out there," Loki said, laughing. "Yes," Sigyn said, standing very close to Loki, she could already feel his ways on her face. "That's why you're standing. You're the same, wanted to be conquered and thrown away." Loki leaned in to kiss Sigyn, underscoring how easy Sigyn was, just like other women.
Sigyn stepped even closer, bent her head as if she wanted to kiss Loki and then just walked past him. Her look of scorn on him "I will never be one of your whores. So look elsewhere for vulgarity and simplicity your highness".
Loki narrowed his eyes had that simple princess just tricked the god of mischief?
The Gardener of Healing
Tumblr media
Sigyn is Eir's daughter who lives in the Garden of Healing. It is Asgard's second largest garden complex next to the Gardens of Iduna and the private Gardens of the All-Mother. Iduna's Gardens are the largest in Asgard. Attached to Eir's garden is a simple house it is not really a manor house more like a larger cottage with three floors and a small tower on the right side. While Eir and her two sons always attend Odin's banquets, Sigyn does not. She prefers to stay at home and just wants to spend time with teachers and tending the garden. But even if she is well on the way to becoming a good healer like her mother. Does fate still have something in hand that turns everything upside down.

New Asgard Sigyn Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Sigyn had lived her whole life in the shadow of her mother and her sisters. She was a little shy and did not like to be the center of attention. Every time her parents had guests, she would run into her rooms and not leave them before they were gone. Of course, she realized her behavior was rather rude, but wasn’t it better than being unable to talk to anyone or look at them in the eye? People would have seen her as an idiot or a simple-minded fool. Better being in her rooms than humiliating herself. Yet, the man she loved dearly was her clear opposite. Prince Loki was handsome, charming and enjoyed the light and the attention. And he was right too: how could anyone not love or admire him when he was so charismatic and elegant. It would have been a crime to hide in the shadows as she did. When she heard about Prince Loki’s death, she cried for days. The first time, then the second time, then the third and final time. After Ragnarok, she decided not to go back to Vanaheim and live on Midgard, in New Asgard, and try to be as happy as possible. When two very stupid for Einherjars decided to open a “Thanos Ice cream parlor”, Sigyn went mad. She screamed and complained, petitioning the new King every time she could. She used to be so shy and discreet, once upon a time. Yet, her anger made her bold. She had to denounce this injustice and make it stop. “It’s a free country, my lady”, the former Valkyrie said, “They can do as they please” Sigyn bit her tongue and tried to contain her anger, not to make a scene in front of the whole court. “But Thanos was a monster!”, the former princess reminded the warrior, “He killed so many people! One of them a Prince of Asgard! Doesn’t this matter?” The King sighed and shrugged away her protestations, clearly exasperated by the whole affair. “Maybe so”, she replied, “But not many people liked Loki, anyway” But I did, Sigyn nearly said, before remembering her place. She had been no one to the Prince. He had not even known of her existence. Crying for him in public would have only raised questions on her virtue or her mental health. The crazy lady in love with a dead fallen prince. People would laugh or pity her. Still, Sigyn would sit in front of the parlor with huge signs, and create online petitions against the scandalous, heartless existence of such an unworthy place. A few people joined her quest and would help her throw rotten tomatoes at the owners whenever they saw them. One day, Prince Thor saw her and her friends and smiled. He approached them and thanked them for their good heart. “Besides”, he added, “I think Loki would have appreciated the feeling” And that made Sigyn the happiest of all.
The Serpent and The Liar by RedGold
Tumblr media
This one for the Serpent and the Liar:
Loki Odison is a showoff, a performer in need of an audience, Sigyn has always known this. When one of his tricks goes awry, they both become trapped in a cave that even Heimdall's vision cannot see. Surrounded by Skathi, the prince is gravely wounded and Sigyn must protect him until help arrives. Through this trial, a bond forms between them that could be her salvation, if it doesn't ruin her life.
And it begs the question: who the Serpent and who is the Liar?
This is a retelling of the mythological Loki/Sigyn serpent story (and other stories) to be compliant to the MCU and explains who/where Sigyn is in the movies.
The game of power and love story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Princess Sigyn of Vanaheim had married Prince Loki of Asgard when she was very young. For centuries, their union had been a happy one, and all the bards in the Nine realms sang and celebrated their love. However, when Sigyn’s mother, Queen Freya, died, everything changed. Sigyn became Queen of Vanaheim, inheriting her mother’s crown. At first, everything was fine, Loki smiled and applauded his wife’s coronation, and drank to her health during the feast that followed. But things were different now. Sigyn was a queen, while he was but her consort. People were bowing to her respectfully, taking her orders… while he was in her shadow. He was always in someone’s shadow, wasn’t he? First his brother Thor, and now his own wife. Sigyn loved him, and showered with praises and gifts, and had given him two lovely sons. But what was this all worth in comparison to a crown? Nothing. Loki felt frustration rising inside him, eating away his heart, poisoning his soul. He did love his wife, however now the sight of her, mostly when she was wearing the crown, was unbearable. So he started drinking, drowning his pettiness away… But the drunker he got, the meaner he was with Sigyn and their children. One day, Amora visited him, and they laughed, and drank together. Everything seemed so much easier in her arms, forgetting about Sigyn, and his duties, and the Vanir throne. When he woke up in his bed, naked, with Amora, he saw Sigyn looking at him, crying, speechless. He did not say a word either, as his wife left his rooms, so they could dress. Loki left Vanaheim a few hours later, and never went back again. And, clearly, it was for the best.

The Realm’s delight by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Princess Sigyn Freyadottir of Vanaheim had been blessed with a happy life since her childhood. Her parents loved her and cherished her. She was beautiful, always smiling and laughing, and singing, and everyone called her the Realm’s delight.
One day, as she was walking by the river, she heard some strange noises coming from a cave not too far from her path. Her parents and the servants from the palace had warned her not to wander off, however, her curiosity won over carefulness. She had to know what was going on. The closer she got to the cave, the cleared the sounds were. She realized those were no random noises, but the lamentation from some hurt beast. She hurried, hoping she would be able to help the wounded animal.
In the cave, she found a little green dragon who seemed quite sick. The poor little fellow whined when he saw her, but let her pet him and take care of him.
Thanks to her magic, Sigyn cured him and soon, he was back on his feet, flying around his gracious savior. The Princess had expected her new friend to leave her side once he would be able to, yet, he did not, preferring to cuddle her side until she would take him into her arms and pet him again.
Unable to resist such cuteness, she dropped a kiss on his forehead. Suddenly, a green mist surrounded them both, and the dragon turned into a handsome young man, with the greenest eyes she had ever seen.
“Who are you?”, Sigyn asked, worried and intrigued at the same time.
“Fear not, fair maiden”, the dragon reassured her, “my name is Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard. A witch had turned me into a magical creature, but your kiss freed me of her enchantment.”
He took her hands into his, his lips gracing lightly her fingers , before taking her into his arms, kissing her with all the passion in the world.
The news of their betrothal was welcomed by both their families with happiness and excitement, and their life together was, from that moment on, pure bliss, delight and contentment, until the end of time.
The Promise Bride
Tumblr media
Sigyn, the younger half-sister of Iduna the Queen of Vanaheim, becomes aware of Thor's younger brother, Prince Loki, during a wrestling match at court. At her suggestion, Iduna lets Loki compete against her own husband's brother, but Loki, who sees no point in such games, makes a bet that if the winner wins, he should marry the woman who can make one of them first within 6 weeks to theto bring laughter. None of the ladies present dare even consider it.
Loki is more than happy with that, his big dream is to travel to the New World and not worry about a demanding wife. While Sigyn slowly realizes that she is attracted to Loki, she doesn't realize that a Duke of Asgard is also courting her.
A grave without a name
Tumblr media
it was a girl, she loved a boy ever since she could remember... Roughly speaking 10 years they had seen each other regularly as children at school, at festivals, he had always only annoyed them and how they reacted to it as children was, ugh a boy go away" but actually Sigyn never meant it that way.. . she was happy because he had given her his attention. the years passed and they didn't see each other anymore, the contact broke off every time she saw him then she had tears in her eyes and she wished so much that he "noticed" her because he was "motivated to play"... and she was pretty but she didn't see it that way.. the boy had once been shy and loving and he was beautiful... Yes, he was really beautiful, but his shyness left a lot of space for his classmates to attack, who took advantage of it, insulted him, hit him, tormented him.
He changed, beautiful as he was, and her eyes made him more and more "perfect".
However, for Sigyn, she had and would only have loved him no matter what. When she was 15 she met him and he smiled at her.
But he was with another woman and still wanted contact with her .. but he had done too much to her, she adored him but he didn't bother.
She always thought they were made for each other, she felt a connection had loved and suffered.... only to see his smile that wasn't dedicated to her.. but to another he didn't really love.
He broke her heart and she turned to ice. Until Theoric came and her heart started to thaw... But only that one would have melted the core because Loki started to forget her because she thought that nothing would ever happen but only started to give her his attention when he saw that she loved Theoric.
Sigyn had behaved immaculately over the years and never let bad things come to good. So he more or less made something up and told his beloved Theoric to break them up.
But it didn't work! Den Theoric loved Sigyn so sincerely that Loki's lies would never break his love for Sigyn!
What does Loki do now? he dumped the one he was with....
What if he's sitting on a bench now and he's sorry ... Loki, who had to admit more and more how much he loved Sigyn then as now!
Sigyn can't admit to herself that she still loves him but is too hurt... and she loves Theoric too...
But when Loki began his deeds, 10 years after she married Theoric and all events unfolded, Sigyn couldn't help it. She defended Loki in front of everyone else and was punished by being excluded from everyone.
Even after her tragedies on the Fateful Day of Ragnarok, she was laid to her final resting place with little effort. Into a grave without a stone, without a memory, without a line of remembrance!
For her family she had become a Nienad and Theoric had long ago been killed by Loki's own hand.
Loki and I (Inspired story by legally blonde)
Tumblr media
Sigyn's goal is to become the chief sorceress in Vanaheim, and while she's still missing some of the basics of magic, she remains single-minded. But that's the only thing she wants, Sigyn hopes for a proposal from her friend Theoric Bjornson III, the second commander in chief of magic warrior units in Asgard, but is dismissed by him, citing his career plans. Spontaneously she applies to the magician's guild in Asgard and gets a place despite some missing basics of magic, although she is Vanin and the daughter of Frayer and a dwarf and thus fits into the image of the erlite magician of Asgard.
Sigyn is thrown out of her first seminar because of a lack of preparation and her background. When she meets Theoric, who is now engaged to Lorelei, Amora's younger sister who got kicked out of seminary, she decides to impress him with good performances and thereby win him back.
Frigga, however, who believes in the young Vanin, asks Loki to help her, which Loki picks up on starting to play nasty pranks on Sigyn. Amora supports Loki in his jokes with Sigyn, but she just can't be beaten and only a massive impact causes Amora to give Sigyn the chances she deserves. While the Kanz and Maus game between Loki and Sigyn continues.

Echoes:
It had started when he was very young. He had always felt lonely, truly. His brother was annoying and loud. Nothing like him. Their interests were further than the Sun and the Moon. And so, while he liked to read in peace and study magic, or plan elaborated pranks, Thor preferred to train and fight with other children. Loki looked at his brother and his friends, and admitted he envied him a little bit.

Witch Sigyn
Tumblr media
She lives on planets where only the outcasts live. Sigyn is one of them, born a princess and outlawed by her people, her own family, for being gifted with blood magic and chased away. But even from the outcasts, she lives vern in the forest. Others only come to her when they need her help as a healer.
One day Frigga, the queen of Asgard, appears to her and begs her to save her son Loki. Sigyn doesn't want to at first, because when Loki sees injuries, she knows exactly that he can only be saved with blood magic. But Frigga tearfully asks Sigyn to help her son. Sigyn reluctantly agrees and saves Loki's life. Eternally grateful to her, Frigga gives Sigyn valuable plants and herbs from her garden so that Sigyn can plant them herself.
Sigyn's life takes a small twist because of this, although blood mages are persecuted and despised everywhere. People come to her more often now and ask for help. Sigyn gives you this help and you are happy to do it.

Snow White Sigyn story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Once upon a time, there was a king who loved his wife very much, as she was the most beautiful of all the queens in the mortal world. However, the couple was very sad, as they did not have any children. So the Queen prayed the Goddess Frigga to grant her a child, with the skin as white as the snow, the lips as red as the blood and the hair as black as a raven’s feathers.
When the child was born, it was a true victory, and so, the happy parents called their new daughter Sigyn, the “friend of victory”. Unfortunately, the Queen got sick soon after and died.
Years later, the King decided to marry a young and beautiful lady from a foreign realm, called Amora. Her hair was like pure gold and her eyes like emeralds. Every person who laid eyes on her fell hopelessly in love with her. The king was no different and wedded her, against the advice of his ministers.
Not long after the wedding, the King died too, quite suspiciously. But by the time of his funeral, everyone at court, including the people who at first had been unsure about her, were completely under her spell.
Years passed, but the queen’s beauty remained the same.
She changed lovers often, but one did persevere and visited her from time to time. He was a sorcerer and quite charismatic, and behaved with the presence and arrogance of royalty. No one, though, knew his name.
One day, Princess Sigyn, who had grown and was now quite a beauty, much to her stepmother’s chagrin, met with the mysterious nobleman in the castle’s gardens. It was love at first sight, and soon the two young people were inseparable. They had to hide their relationship from the Queen, as they knew she would disapprove and would try to break their bond.
The sorcerer had revealed his identity to his beloved: he was Loki, the son of Odin, a god and a Prince of Asgard. Sigyn had been surprised and confused – as a mortal, she could not marry a god. But Loki reassured her. He would find a way for them to spend eternity together. He truly loved her and wanted her to be his wife. Amora was his past, she would be his future.
The lovers decided to run away from the castle and ride to Asgard. But to travel to the land of the gods, Sigyn had first to eat one of Idunn’s apples. Loki gave her one, and the princess ate it with a smile upon her face, thinking of her life with the man she loved and all the happy days ahead of them.
After one bite, Sigyn felt sick and weak. Loki, worried, took her in his arms, but there was nothing he could do. She died in a matter of seconds. The apple he had given to her was actually poisoned. Amora had known of their plans to run away together and had replaced it with a fruit of her own. The God of mischief, furious, wanted to kill his former lover on the spot. However, he decided to condemn her to a much more cruel fate: he put a pair of iron shoes into the fire until they glowed. Amora was then forced to put them on and dance in them, until death came and claimed her at last.
Iduna Sigyn
Tumblr media
When Sigyn was reborn after Ragnarök, Iduna and Sigyn became one and the same person. Nobody remembers Sigyn, nobody would remember her either. Even she has no memory and lives isolated from everyone in the vastness of her gardens.
Butterfly Sigyn
Tumblr media
On Earth 599, all Arsenic live in animal form and Sigyn the dishonest child of Odin and Frayer is a butterfly. She lives in the gardens of the rabbit goddess Easter and the badger goddess Saint Eir. She takes care of the palaces and must never be near the palace so that Frigga cannot see her. For every time Frigga's owl eyes catch sight of Sigyn, she is reminded of her husband's loyalty and of Frayer's triumph over her.
Sylvie's postman
Tumblr media
When Sylvie spoke to Loki about her postman, she actually didn't mean a postman, but her Sigyn. Which also draw the various time levels hidden so as not to be found. The TVA does not know that she exists and Sylvie does everything to ensure that it stays that way, which is why she will never be spoken of to the other Loki. Protecting her is her second most important goal and it was Sigyn who gave her the name Sylvie when she told Sigyn that she no longer wanted to be Loki and Sigyn said to her "just be Sylvie" and Loki called herself Sylvie from then on.
Her story begins with Sylvie finding Sigyn when she was supposed to be dying and Sylvie healing her. When she saw Sigyn for the first time, she immediately felt a deep connection. But the price was that Sigyn had to leave it all behind and her death had to be faked so no one would know she was alive. And so both began in exile, mostly separately from each other. But every now and then they meet in an end-time scenario. These encounters were something beguiling for Sylvie and she could laugh carefree. Whenever they met, Sylvie slept with her head on Sigyn's shoulder.
After Sylvie killed Kang, she didn't really know what she felt. So she went in search of Sigyn to get clear about her situation.
Sigyn Soldottir, daughter of the Sun Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Sol, the Goddess of the Sun one day felt lonely. Looking at the realm of the mortals, she saw there the God of the smiths, Volundr, and found him worthy of her affections. She decided she would marry him and have a child with him. Volundr was flattered and accepted.
However, Sol’s duties demanded of her to return to the skies, and so she did, leaving on Midgard her new husband and their daughter, Sigyn. Volundr did as best he could, raising their child on his own. He often brought her to work, and on his many trips to Nidavellir. It was there that Freya saw her for the first time. Hearing her name, she pondered of its meaning “friend of victory” and concluded that it was fit for a Valkyrie. She asked to buy the child from Volundr, but he refused, until he agreed that being part of the Valkyries was a great honor and would secure a glorious future for his daughter. He let Freya take her, though his heart felt heavy.
Sigyn trained to become a warrior, but, deep in her soul, she knew she was not born for this career. She soon realized Odin’s plans of conquests were against every principles she had. She wanted peace, not war. She tried to resign, but Freya refused to let the “Victory bringer” go.
After Ragnarok and the death of most gods, she survived. Baldur, reborn, was now the Kings of the remaining deities. As her birth mother was now gone, eaten by Fenrir, he decided to appoint Sigyn as the new Goddess of the Sun.

This fic is not canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Universe Earth-616 or Norse mythology, but it will beg, borrow, steal and bastardize from all three from time to time. After all, if the Poetic Edda says the first Frost Giant was licked into existence by a primeval cow and there’s an alt-Marvel universe where Captain America fights Nazi zombies alongside Howard the Duck, I should be able to do what I want.
Betrayed by fate story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Every Loki, from every timeline, will have the same fate. They will live with Odin for some time, fall in love and marry a beautiful and sweet maiden called Sigyn, kill Baldur, and endure the punishment for it, with only their wife by their side.
However, with the timelines resetting, and Kang taking over, destroying the Norns, who knew what would happen? The Conqueror had decided Loki would never meet Sigyn, so, fate might be different this time around…
Where was Sigyn, if not faithfully by her beloved spouse’s side? Well, Kang had hid her from Loki’s sight. If the God of Mischief never laid eyes on her, he would never desire her, never marry her, never have her by his side, never realize he could be loved by someone who was not family, or himself. He would become the perfect pawn on his chess board, utterly miserably, some pathetic villain, losing again and again, with no Victory in sight.
His bride was gone. Kang had manipulated the timeline so all the Valkyries but one would be die, killed by Hela. No Freya, no Sigyn. Kill the hen, there is no egg, is there?
Yet, he did keep one Sigyn variant alive, as potential blackmail material. If one of the Lokis become too cumbersome, he could still threaten their beloved spouse… though, of course, they would not know her. But one look at her was enough to make a Loki lose their heads. It had been proven before, and it would again.
Still, that silly girl had to try and escape, hearing that some variant of her husband had declared war against Kang. She probably thought she would join their side, and bring Loki victory, at least. But fate was always against them. Fate would never let Loki and Sigyn be happy for long, or at all. In this case, Fate would not even let them meet.
Before she could reach Loki, Kang had his agents catch the Goddess of Fidelity, killing her right in front her beloved’s eyes.
Of course, the Loki variant – Sylvie, as she was called now- had no idea who had just died, or why they had killed that young woman. She most likely thought that pruning had been for her, and ran as quick as she could, leaving the one who should have been her wife to her sorrowful fate, and Alioth to his delightful dinner.
And for dessert there was death and love

We are writing a story on Earth 3445 that never had a happy ending.
"Face reality Loki, in this world nothing goes as you wish. You must realize the longer you live the better you will understand that life is largely ruled by pain, emptiness and the search for answers. Believe me everything that happens in every world has a light and dark side and we alone decide which actions we take. For as long as there are winners there will be losers and the selfish desire to keep peace breeds wars and to keep love breeds hate. We Have All The Time In The World
(A possible comic story in the multiverse) story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
One day, Sigyn Iwaldidottir was at her father’s forge, helping her brothers with some delicate new project, the next, she was no more, erased from existence, from “the sacred timeline”.
But then, with no explanation, Sigyn was back, in a little room, with no windows, no furniture but a simple bed, no company but her own, trapped, without any hope of escaping.
She felt desperate, and only wanted to cry. Her food always magically appeared, so she did not even see any guard. What had she done to deserve such miserable fate?
Worst of all: there was no door! She was never going to leave this place. Maybe this was Hel. Maybe she had died and the Valkyries had judged her unworthy of Valhalla, and now she was here forever.
When she was at her lowest, however, something wonderful happened. A man, tall, very handsome, though she would have had some notes on his attire, appeared through a golden door. Sigyn rose from her bed and curtsied politely.
“My Lord”, she greeted, while the noble warrior seemed confused, but rather pleased by her welcome.
“I was told Kang had prisoners, my Lady”, he started, hesitantly, “But I had no idea they would be as courteous or lovely as you”
Sigyn smiled and blushed. He was not very elegant, but his words and manners were pleasing enough and showed he was from the higher aristocracy.
“I am Princess Sigyn Iwaldidottir, my Lord”, she introduced herself, “Are you here to free me at last from this awful dungeon?”
He bowed to her and presented her his hand for her to take.
“Prince Loki Laufeyson, your highness”, he said, his voice as smooth as velvet.
Sigyn blushed, as she had not recognized him. Of course, they had never met officially, but her mother, Queen Freya of Vanaheim, had showed her portraits of both Odinsons, and the reveal of the second prince’s true parentage had been quite the talk, both on Vanaheim and Nidavellir. Even though he was strangely dressed, she should have known who he was.
“I am pleased to make your acquaintance, your royal highness”, she curtsied, remembering Prince Loki had been king at some point, though it had not been for long.
“Pleased to meet you too”, he replied, kissing her hand lightly, before inviting her to cross the golden door.
“Let’s move this lovely conversation elsewhere, if you don’t mind, Princess”, Loki said, “after that, we will have all the time in the world”
Double trouble Sigyn Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
The universe TRN875 was fun, Loki decided. His other, female self had been great too, but of course, he was the superior Loki, no one would ever dare to contradict him. He had stolen the orb from her, and Thor had returned it to their Father’s vault… well, not for long, as he still needed it. He wanted to explore more of that other dimension, what treasures it contained.
Using the orb once again, Loki created a portal and jumped into it, wondering what he would discover this time. A rare volume of spells? Some other magical artefact he had never heard of? He could not wait!
Instead, he found a girl. A very pretty blonde girl, waiting for him in his rooms. Well, not his rooms, his other self’s rooms.
She looked at him, confused, her shining blue eyes observing him carefully before offering him the most beautiful smile in the Nine realms.
“Oh, you must be the other Loki”, she said, marching to him with confidence, and taking his hands into hers, “I am Sigyn… Do you have a Sigyn?”
Loki did not have a Sigyn, and suddenly felt very jealous of his female self. Why didn’t he have a Sigyn? He should have had a Sigyn. Now, he wanted a Sigyn. Where was his Sigyn? Well, if his world did not have one, he could still steal this one.
The Prince of Asgard opened his arms widely, and the maiden giggled joyously and jumped into them, without fear or mistrust. She trusted him? She loved him, he realized… Well, she loved her, his other self. But that did not matter, she would love him soon too, and forget all about her original world and her Loki. She would be his, and they would have terrible fun adventures together, he knew it.
But the girl did not like it. No, she did not like it at all.
“I cannot leave my Loki! She will worry if I do not come back!”, she cried, when Loki told her she was to stay with him from now on.
“She’s not worthy of you!”, Loki declared, “I am the superior Loki! I am the one who deserve your love, Gentle Sigyn”
However, the maiden would not listen to reason, and conjured an axe which she aimed at his throat.
“Listen, I like you, I really do. I will always love Loki, in any dimension, but I cannot leave my Loki”, she explained, holding her weapon tightly, “I love her and I am her betrothed. I cannot run away with someone else. Not even another version of her! That would not be fair. That would not be right. I am her Sigyn, not yours.”
Loki stood still for a moment. Betrothed? But they were much too young to be married! Though of course, with such a lovely little lady, and so faithful to them, how could they ever refuse her?
“I have to go back to my Loki, please?”, she begged so prettily Loki felt his heart fluster, and he conceded.
“Fine”, the Prince of Asgard sighed in defeat, “If you love her so much, I’ll give you back to her”
“Thank you”, Sigyn said happily, jumping back into his arms, and kissed his cheek.
Ah, if she wanted him to let her go, giving him sweet kisses was maybe not the best idea. But he had promised her he would, and so he did. He would not have wanted to harm such a lovely lady.
He would have to find his own Sigyn, though. After tasting such sweetness, how could he ever live without it? He needed her, as a traveler lost in the deserts of Muspelheim craved water. And once he had her, he would never ever let her go.
The last song of the nightingale Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
Sigyn was born the daughter of an infamous courtesan. However, she did not want to follow her mother’s footsteps. So, instead of selling her body, she sang. People from the Nine realms and beyond came to hear her voice. Sigyn hoped one day she would have enough money to gain her freedom and her mother’s, but the owner of the brothels where they lived refused to let them go, as she became more and more popular.
Everyone called her “The Nightingale”, and paid a fortune to listen to her enchanting voice. The Princes of the realm, Thor and Loki, became intrigued by the famous singer, and decided to pay her a visit. At first, the Lady Sif had not been very keen on the idea, but after a few notes, she was as taken by the music as her male companions were.
Thor and Fandral tried to win her heart, but only Loki seemed to catch her attention, as she caught his. Soon the pair became inseparable, and the Prince promised he would free his songbird from her cage.
Loki knew the owner of the brothel would never let his golden goose fly away : she had become much too valuable, bringing to his house fame and fortune.
No. He would have to steal her if he wanted to have her as his own. And so he did.
One night, after a night of songs, dances and music, after all the patrons had fallen asleep, Loki turned Sigyn into an actual nightingale, and told her to fly to the palace. There, he could protect her and make her his. Once she would be in his rooms, safe and sound, no one would dare come and claim her. Her past in the brothel would be forgotten, and she would be his and his alone.
So Sigyn flew, quick as the wind. Unfortunately, the owner had heard of the Prince’s plan, and he did not like it. If his house lost its main attraction, he would be ruined. The little bitch could not escape him, and if she did, well… her journey would lead her to Hel, not to a Prince’s bedchamber.
He took his longbow and aimed at the sky.
Sigyn fell.
Loki waited for his lover, but she never came, though every night, he could hear the ghost of one last song, haunting his dreams.

A Relative Betrayal (Sigyn in the Dark World) Story by @roruna
Tumblr media
Sigyn Freyadottir and Frigga Freyrdottir were more like sisters than cousins. Sigyn looked up to her cousin and followed her everywhere. Even after she came of age, Frigga still took time to play with her dear little cousin. Sigyn was the flower girl at Frigga and Odin's wedding. But once she was queen of Asgard, Frigga had no time for play.
After Hela decimated them, it seemed like the Valkyries were finished but Sigyn joined them as soon as she was of age. Her training kept her in Vanaheim but about a month before Frigga's first child was due, Sigyn snuck out of Valkyrie boot camp to be by her beloved cousin's side. She was punished harshly for going AWOL but Sigyn didn't care. This established the pattern
that would carry on for centuries. Sigyn served the Valkyries faithfully and visited Asgard as often as her duties allowed.
Every visit, Thor seemed to grow another two inches. Sigyn actually felt somewhat betrayed when Frigga introduced her to her second child. "Why did you not tell me when you were with child? Why didn't you send for me when you gave birth?" Sigyn asked.
"The war with Jotunheim," she explained. "Odin feared that Laufey might send assassins if he knew I was in such a vulnerable state. No one knew I was with child." "I still wish you'd told me, I would protect you to my final breath," Sigyn said.
"Auntie Sigyn!" Loki called out and offered her a bunch of wildflowers he'd picked. "Father says he gives Mother flowers because he loves her. So I'm giving these to you."
Sigyn took the little bouquet and kissed the boy's forehead.
"What a lovely boy you are," she said. "I love them." "When I grow up, I will make you my bride," he said, beaming with joy. "Will you?" She asked. "Yes, so you mustn't fall in love with anyone else," he ordered. "You must wait faithfully for me." "Of course," she laughed. "I will be fidelity itself."
Sigyn was in Vanaheim when Thor was exiled and when Loki and Thor destroyed the bifrost,
she was stuck. Asgard and its protectorates could still communicate with each other with sending spells, scrying and astral projection but there was no way to travel. Of course, she grieved over Loki's death and being so far away when Frigga needed her most, made her grieve all over again. She remembered Loki was always a shy and sensitive boy. And
when Frigga told Sigyn his true origins, she knew that he could travel no other path but
madness after such a shocking betrayal.
Sigyn couldn't return to Asgard until after Odin sentenced Loki to life in the dungeons. As
shocking and as harsh she thought that punishment was, to not allow Loki any visitors was the definition of cruelty. Frigga tried to keep a brave face, contenting herself to only astral project to see her son.
Sigyn found out that the dungeon guards had been forewarned and specifically ordered not to let Frigga enter the dungeons. But otherwise, it only took a little bit of gold to obscure the guards' vision. Bribery was how Frigga's handmaidens smuggled books, furniture and better food to the disgraced prince. And bribery was how Sigyn entered Loki's cell. "Hello Auntie Sigyn," he said with a dark edge to his voice that she'd never heard from him before.
"Hello Loki," she said.
When she hugged him, he wouldn't let her go. He held her tighter when she tried to pull back. To say Loki was touch starved was an understatement. He needed to be held more than he needed to be lectured and questioned. So when she visited him, she'd just hold him.
Sometimes he'd fall asleep in her arms but his sleep was never peaceful. He didn't talk or thrash in his sleep but he'd wince and groan faintly. Whenever she'd wake him from his nightmares, he would spend the first few seconds of consciousness with a lost, terrified look on his face. Then he'd recognize her and relax.
"What happened after you fell?" She asked him after weeks of visiting. "I saw… so many things," he said. "Great and terrible things." "Is that why you attacked Midgard?" She asked.
"I meant to conquer Midgard and rule the mortals as their God King," he said without feeling. "That doesn't sound like you," she said. "The boy I knew was gentle and sensitive. He didn't want to subjugate or bully anyone." "Loki Odinson was a timid boy and he died," Loki said. "Loki Laufeyson is a cruel man so he lived." "You still-" Loki kissed her. He pushed her down onto his bed.
"A little boy once asked you to wait for him to grow up so you could be his bride. Now this cell will be my tomb so I only have one use for a bride," he growled. Of course, she could push him back. She was a highly trained Valkyrie. And however wicked he tried to seem, he was still watching her for any hint of distress. But after whatever he went through, he needed her. He needed this. So she let him have his way with her.
"Hello Loki," Sigyn said.
"Hello Freyadottir," Loki replied.
Sigyn guessed that Loki made a point of calling her Freyadottir to distance them from the dynamic of his childhood. Or perhaps he was trying to attribute his desire to the fact that he was a frost giant because he was ashamed. Whatever the reason, she hoped it brought him comfort.
She hoped she brought him comfort.
Sigyn had her arms and her legs wrapped around Loki. She was lying back on his bed and he was on top of her and nothing else existed outside of each other. They could only hear each other's moans and look into each other's eyes.
Frigga astral projected into Loki's cell. She and Loki didn't have a scheduled visit but Odin was welcoming Thor back after his unexpected return so Frigga had some free time. She gasped at the sight of her younger son in bed with a woman.
"Mother!" Loki exclaimed. "Frigga," Sigyn gasped.
Frigga had only just started to ask herself how Loki was able to sneak some woman into his cell but recognizing who was in his bed was almost a physical blow. "What… what the Hel is this?!" Frigga screamed and the astral projection suddenly disappeared
When Frigga physically arrived in the dungeons, both Loki and Sigyn were fully dressed. Frigga stormed down the corridor, flanked by guards. She ordered the guards to remove Loki from hiscell and the queen's rage made telling the All-Father that they released a high profile prisoner seem the safer option.
The queen, the prisoner and the Valkyrie went to an antechamber away from the dungeons. "What the Hel are you doing?", "How could this happen?", "How could you do this?" were all questions the queen wanted answered but not as much as "When did this start?" "How long have you been molesting my son?!" Frigga demanded.
"Mother, I'm not some helpless child," Loki said.
"I swear it's not like that," Sigyn cried.
"I thought it was Odin's lies that hurt you so last year but if she… if she's been-" Frigga sobbed.
"Our romantic relationship started after I was put in the dungeons," Loki said, hoping this would calm his mother. "Sigyn never took advantage of me. She's not the first person I've gone to bed with. Not even close."
Frigga looked at Loki in bewilderment. When she looked at Sigyn, she could only feel rage. "We were like sisters," she hissed. "You held my hand when I gave birth to Thor. I don't care if Loki had a thousand lovers before now! I trusted you!" "I'm sorry, Frigga. I swear I didn't want to hurt you," Sigyn cried, moving to Loki's side and taking his hand. "But Loki needed-" "Don't you touch my boy, you slattern!" Frigga commanded. It wasn't long before the shouting drew the attention of the All-Father. Thor also joined them, with the mortal, Jane Foster.
"What is all this commotion?" Odin demanded.
"Mother, what's wrong?" Thor asked. "Loki, what are you doing here?" "I had to get Loki out of his cell when I found out my cousin and closest friend raped him!" She screamed.
"What?" Both Odin and Thor exclaimed.
"Mother, that's enough!" Loki snapped. "No one raped or molested anyone. Sigyn and I are adults. The past two years have been the worst of my entire life! Thor is content to pretend I don't exist while Odin made a point of keeping you away because he knew it would hurt me!" Loki wrapped his arms around Sigyn, shielding her from his mother's wrath.
"Sigyn has been there for me at my lowest. In all of Asgard, she's the only one who still cares about me," he said. "And she's the only one for whom I feel love." Sigyn gasped. Loki and Frigga watched each other.
"Loki, your family-" Sigyn began.
"My captors," he corrected. "Odin isn't my father, he stole me."
"But your mother-"
"No," he said.
Frigga's expression set itself like stone. Both her fists were clenched. She finally looked away from Loki and towards Sigyn.
"Leave Asgard at once," she ordered. "Because if I see you again, I will kill you."
A squad of Einharjar escorted Loki back to the dungeons. Sigyn followed after them, just out of sight. As they approached the dungeons, they heard shouting and the sound of fighting. All but two Einharjar stayed with Loki while the rest went ahead to bring order to the dungeons. Sigyn and Loki used this chance to overpower the two guards and free Loki.
"You need to get out of here," Sigyn said after kissing Loki several times. "Out of Asgard."
"We need to get out of Asgard," Loki corrected
They could hear screaming outside. When they looked out the window, they saw black ships shooting into the city.
"I'm a Valkyrie. I have a duty to protect the nine realms," she said. "But you deserve to be free." Loki looked torn and was thinking desperately. He kissed her suddenly.
"I'll go to Jotunheim," he said. "This time I'll wait for you."
She nodded and kissed him again.
"Alright, I'll join you as soon as I can," she said.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," she said.
"Where is the aether?" Malekith demanded.
Frigga held her head up defiantly even if she couldn't free herself from Malekith's hold.
"I'll never tell," she said.
"I believe you," he said.
There was a shout that caught everyone by surprise. Sigyn charged into the queen's chambers, sword drawn. Malekith let Frigga go to deal with this new threat. Sigyn decapitated Malekith in one swoop but she left herself open for Algrim, the Kursed elf, to impale her in the stomach.
Thor finally arrived and while he dealt with Algrim, Frigga ran to Sigyn. She'd collapsed on the floor and was bleeding out.
"Sigyn, Sigyn!" Frigga screamed, holding her face with both hands.
Sigyn put a hand over Frigga's. Already it was getting hard to breathe.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she wheezed.
"No, please, you can't just give up…" Frigga sobbed. "What about Loki?!"
"Loki," Sigyn said with her final breath.

Sigyn spends her days bouncing between anger and confusion. Anger for the marriage contract her mother forced her into, and confused by the attention Prince Loki starts paying her.

Telling a story about is difficult. And telling what happened on Earth 9088 is even harder.
Imagine living for hope, for confidence in giving a service to your people that you love so much. Only to find out in the end it was all a lie, yet you keep fighting to stand up for your beliefs. But at the end... Nobody thanks you for the sacrifices you made to save others, to protect them. This is how Sigyn lived and died on Earth 9088.

Odin loved to make his sons compete, on every occasion possible, and what better occasion than his birthday? Both his sons had to prove their valor, their resourcefulness, their intelligence and good sense, picking for their father the perfect gift.
Thor had already an idea in mind, and could not stop boasting about it. Loki listened closely to his brother, so sure of himself and of his gift. While his brother chatted joyously with his friends, the second prince retained his growing frustration. Thor was again going to win this time, wasn’t he?
The Golden son had already contacted Eitri and Brock and called in a favor. The famous smiths would win the prize for him, and once again, Thor would be victorious.
For a moment, Loki thought of finding ways to stop the dwarves, turn himself into a mosquito and bite them into their eyes, and ruin their work. But he knew his father would eventually find out, and the punishment would be memorable. In dreams, Loki had seen the same dwarves sew his lips with metal treads, and he did not want that to happen in reality.
So, what could he do?
Well, he could still go and check the competition! Iwaldi was known to be the best in his craft, and his sons were getting quite the reputation as skillful craftsmen. Maybe they would have the perfect idea for a worthy gift and would forge it within the expected delay. He would pay good money for it and would sing their praises afterwards.
But Iwaldi and his sons were absent. Instead, Loki found a young red-headed girl, who welcomed him into the shop with a kind smile.
“What can I do for you, my Lord?”, she asked politely.
Well, she was very pretty, with a gentle demeanor. Usually, the prince would have had his mind full of ways for her to help him. However, that day, he was not in the mood for love, or even lust. If Thor won once again, the crown would escape him for good. He had to focus on the task at hand, and Iwaldi and his sons were the only ones who could help him.
“Yes you can, my sweet”, he replied to the lovely girl, “Where are your masters?”
“My masters?”, the lady replied, her elegant eyebrows rising in surprise, before bursting out laughing, “You mean father and my brothers?”
That beautiful young woman was a dwarf? That could not be! Dwarf ladies had beards, and were ill-tempered. Nothing like this sweet lady. But something inside her blue eyes told him not to mess too much with her, or he would soon find out the taste of her axe.
Dwarf she was, though she did not look like it.
“You are Iwaldi’s daughter”, Loki finally guessed, “My apologies, my lady, my worries have made me blind and rude.”
Politeness was the best way to get what he wanted, and hope for a prompt return from her father and brothers.
“Worries, my lord?”, she asked, his faux-pas forgotten, “May I help you?”
Once again, Loki was very tempted to ask for a favor that had nothing to do with her father’s skills. It would be quite a nice way to pass the time while waiting for the men’s return. But if they were to find him with the lady of the house in a delicate position, they would never help him.
Yes, he would have her, but afterwards, when Iwaldi had given him what he wanted, and could not take it back. Though, of course, the lady could interfere in his favor with her family.
“What is your name, my sweet?”, Loki cooed, deciding she might be his best ally.
“Sigyn, my Lord”, she curtsied, making the prince’s heart flutter just a little. The perfect little lady, wasn’t she? He would have great fun with her, once this was all over. She would be his rewards for winning against Thor.
“Sigyn”, he echoed, her name like a sweet melody on his tongue, one he could not wait to taste, “Do you know when your father and brothers will be back?”
“Not before two months, my Lord”, she replied, killing any hope Loki had. When those cursed dwarves would be back, it would be too late.
Loki’s distress must have been obvious, as Sigyn dared to ask him again, “What troubles you, my Lord?”
Odin’s son sighed, readying himself for his unavoidable defeat, “I am Loki. My father is Odin, his birthday is coming up soon, and I wanted to commission a gift for him, as I know your father’s and brothers’ skill, but…”
Sigyn nodded, and looked at Loki with so much compassion, the prince decided he would have his reward as his consolation prize. Since he was to be defeated, at least, he would have the sweet Sigyn in his bed. That would allow him to endure the bitterness of Thor’s victory, and the venomous remarks he would get from Sif and his friends.
However, while Loki was about to make a move and seduce Iwaldi’s daughter, his lady pursed her lips, her gaze firmly directed towards her father’s forge.
“You know, your Highness, my father and brothers might be absent, but I am here. And they are not the only skilled smiths in the family”, she revealed, seemingly determined about this, before becoming much more bashful, all of a sudden, “if I were to help you, what you would give me?”
Loki laughed, surprised and relieved he might have found a worthy replacement to Iwaldi, after all.
“Whatever you desire, my sweet”, the Prince declared, and he meant to keep that promise for once.
Sigyn’s eyes were now fixed on the floor, her cheeks reddening by the second. Sweet Norns, what was she about to ask from him?
“Even if I ask you your heart?”, she whispered, shy but playful in a way. Oh, he liked this. He liked her, a lot. He ought to tell her she already had his heart in the palm of her dainty hand, to do whathever she pleased with it, but since she had named her price, there was no need to change it, mostly when he was so eager to pay it.
“Very well”, Loki said, taking her hand, his lips brushing barely her fair skin, before he drew her towards him and sealed their deal with a kiss.
It was a surprise to everyone in the Throne room, when Odin conceded the victory to Loki, as his birthday gift for his father was actually superior to Thor’s. The Golden son did not seem to mind, quite the opposite, gaping at the present and clapping his hand in excitement.
“It is so pretty”, his brother chanted again and again, and Odin seemed to agree, admiring the Golden raven Sigyn had created for the occasion. The mechanical bird, forged by Iwaldi’s daughter, seemed as real as Huginn and Muninn, except for its feathers made of pure gold, and was flying happily with his black-feathered brothers.
“Quite remarkable, indeed”, the AllFather agreed, before smiling to his younger son, a certain interest shining in his one eye.
“You did good today, my son”, the King of Asgard declared, while Loki’s heart was suddenly filled with pride and contentment.
He could not wait to go to Sigyn and tell her all about it. After all, his heart was hers now, and he had a reward to enjoy…
Miracles work miracles story by @jonquilclegane

A few centuries ago, a handsome prince saved an obscure princess no one truly cared about. Some marauders had been invading the plains of Vanaheim once again, and the princess had been helping the people, healing the wounded and cooking some soup and delicious pies to cheer everybody up. Yet, after a ruthless attack, the looters had taken a few women as their prisoners, and among them was princess Sigyn.
Prince Thor and his friends were in charge of the rescue, boasting about how they would make them pay and make sure the princess would be back soon with her mother, safe and sound.
Yet, they failed. Even with all their fancy weapons and clever plans, they were still defeated. Only a miracle could save the princess.
The miracle happened, and his name was Loki.
With his magic, the Trickster prince fooled the marauders, turning himself into a dragon, and saved the young princess and the other ladies that had been kidnapped with her.
Sigyn never forgot, and promised herself she would once day repay the Prince for saving her life. However, what would a handsome prince, who was also a powerful sorcerer, ever need? Sigyn thought and thought about it, and eventually decided that fate would help her and give her the right opportunity to help her savior.
But then the Prince died, killed by the Mad Titan, and the princess felt terrible, not having repaid her debt, and at the thought of such a kind soul, lost forever, her heart bled.
Yet, something felt wrong. For nights, she kept having the same dream, of her prince’s body, floating lifelessly into the void of space. But in her dreams, he was not dead. He still breathed, thought he was weak and so very close to his final demise.
The princess decided there was a possibility those dreams had some truth in them – after all, she did have some cunning powers. This could be the occasion she had waited for: she would be able to save the man who had saved her, all those centuries ago.
Turning herself into a little dragon so she could travel into space, Sigyn searched and searched, until finally she found Loki. Thanks to a spell, she was able to rescue him and bring him back safely to Vanaheim – since Asgard had been destroyed. She nursed him back to health, and smiled when he asked her for her name and her story.
“Well, your highness, it’s a long story, and it involves dragons”
Loki laughed, though he winced as his wounds were still painful.
“Seems like quite the tale, and we have all the time in the world”
Kiss of lies story by @jonquilclegane

Loki lied as well as he kissed, with skill and a certain playfulness that both left you breathless and heartbroken, utterly under his power, whether you liked it or not.
As they were married for thousands of years, Loki kissed Sigyn many times, and he lied to her quite as much.
Though, to Sigyn, three of those kisses of lies truly mattered.
The first one was when he was under the disguise of Theoric. It was their first kiss, and Sigyn believed him to be her fiancé, though his touch and voice were different, and made her whole soul stir in such a way she had felt dizzy and drunk with love for days after his lips had sealed her fate with a kiss.
A lie, it had been all a lie…
The second one was when they were married, and after centuries of humiliation and insults, he suddenly decided she was worthy of his love, calling her “the only one he loved in the Nine realms”, “his beloved wife”, pretending he cared… He had kissed her, and she had believed him. She had been craving for his love and attention for so long, so she took every crumb that he was willing to give her.
Had it been all a lie? Yes. Probably.
The third one… the third one had been a heartbreaking, soul-breaking mess. After coming back from death, she had been trying to get better, to forget about Loki. But then, temptation had been the strongest, and she had joined Loki’s other exes, to make him pay all of his lies.
When he had seen her, he had laughed, and had thrown her a kiss in a playful, yet mocking manner.
“My dear wife”, he had teased, “Happy to see you again”
Then he had his friends beat her up, with the rest of his scorned lovers.
A lie. Another lie. Always lies.
Kisses of lies.
