She’s confirmed that the film takes place in the year 2000, with flashbacks to the 90s and 80s

Jason Blum said that the film went through 8 directors and 15 scripts!

And Foxy arm caught fire during filming once due to overheated servos. They had just finished a scene when Emma heard someone quietly inform another crew member that “Foxy’s arm is on fire”

This is one of my favourite scenes in the whole movie.

What makes William Afton such a terrifying villain is that he can BREAK people as easily as he can kill them. He's controlling, cunning, calculating, and masterful at manipulating others, and you see that on full display in this very scene.

You can just feel the oppressive power in his words as he emotionally and psychologically manipulates his own daughter. And you can see it work as Vanessa's guilt and trauma bubble to the surface!

Say what you about the movie but these two were absolutely perfect. Both the characters and the people who played them.

Five Nights at Freddy's has several sudden moments of flickering lights. There are two scenes filled with extreme strobe effects, the first of which happens at the end of the third dream sequence, and the second instance happening during the climactic action sequence. Scenes with TV screens, as well as the opening production company logos, have screen glitching effects.

All of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.

Flashing Lights: 10/10. Motion Sickness: 1/10.

TRIGGER WARNING: Some jump scares involve an image of a clown. A backstory is told that heavily implies that someone died by suicide, without stating it directly.
