sunghoon would probably not notice you at first, not being fully aware of his surroundings as of yet especially when he just reached his new house.

sunghoon would offer you some food when he's taking a break from carrying boxes upon boxes. "you want some?" while sticking a watermelon slice in front of your nose, cheeks filled with tons of those slices already.

sunghoon would ring your doorbell and shyly ask you to show him around the neighbourhood.

sunghoon would probably ask you to study with him in his backyard after school, a lot of picnics and polaroids taken by him.

sunghoon would be the type to climb through your window just to give you back your pencil from your study session together.

sunghoon would walk to and back from school with you just to tell you about his day (but you're both in the same class) "did you see what X did??" "yes, sunghoon, I was literally right in front of you."

sunghoon would try to be subtle about having a crush on you but ends up writing a love letter and leaving it in your locker, as if you wouldn't suspect it was him in the first place.

sunghoon would not leave your side even when your sick but would probably tell you to get up and do things with him to feel better. or maybe he'll get you your favourite dessert if you're being stubborn ♡

sunghoon would take out your hair tie after school teasingly just because he loves how your hair flows in the wind and how it gets messed up after.

sunghoon - "I know you're feeling stressed out, let's get some ice-cream? we'll go to your favourite parlour this time, I promise."

sunghoon would play your favourite piece on the piano when he's thinking about you and you could probably hear it all the way in your room while you're trying to sleep/study. instead of getting angry like you normally would, you would just smile to yourself and continue with whatever you were doing. 'this dork...'

Heeseung who recently broke up with you and now he’s just simply going through the motions of life in pure bitterness and anger.

Him seeing the date July 15th marked with annoyingly bright neon sharpie and crudely drawn hearts around that now cursed number.

‘I gotta fix that.’ He mumbles to himself, lips tight and his words slurred. What’s the point in putting in effort to say it properly? Who cares.

Heeseung so desperately wants to rip that adorable little puppy calendar off his wall and chuck the thing into the trash can and set it all on fire. Who even uses physical calendars these days anyway? The only reason why he got the sickeningly cute thing was because of y-

There is no more you.

No more anniversary.

His shaky hands reach up to gently unpin the calendar off the wall. The bright and cheery marked box staring back at him mockingly.

His nose twitches in irritation. Frustration…grief ultimately. Though he loathes to admit it.

Sincerely hates having to admit to the fact that he’s taking this way harder than you. So torn up that this whole relationship had so much significance to him, had such an unrelenting hold on him that it’s still refusing to let him go long after you both parted ways and will never see each other again. At least..not in the same way.

His grip on the calendar tightens and the big eyed golden retriever for the current month has its face crumpled and torn, the puppy’s innocent round eyes staring up at Heeseung now is folded over and misshapen by his actions. Heh kinda funny.

He looks so ridiculous right now, such a big dude standing alone in his room crushing this cute little calendar in his hands and shaking violently. But he doesn’t care.

He lets out a bitter chuckle. Who cares? He’s so sick of being angry. At this moment he doesn’t care about hiding his true feelings behind his anger. He wipes his runny nose with the back of his hand.

And he just lets the tears cascade down his face. Let his sobs ring out in the empty space. Allows the pent up sadness to rack through his body in whatever way it wants.

Heeseung so very much wants to stop feeling this way. He wants this to be the last time he cries over you. He just wants this to end so badly.

you shift awkwardly in your seat as you watch sunghoon dance around with a woman. his hands graze against her back with each step they take, their fingers intertwined. the song continues to drone on as sunghoon glances over her shoulder at you, giving you a small smile. you let it ease your jealousy as they continue, twirling around the room.

“they’re cute together,” a woman whispers next to you. her friend hums, leaning closer to her.

“i wonder when the king will settle down. it’s hard to run a kingdom alone.”

“perhaps he just needs to find the right person.”

“maybe it’s you,” you tense up as they laugh together. “you should ask him to a dance. he never declines.”

the first woman nods, turning her attention back to sunghoon and the woman, still dancing together. “i will. after this dance.”

you jump a little when someone places a hand on your shoulder. “sorry,” ki hong chuckles a little, moving his hand down to your back. his armor is cold against your skin as he leans down to whisper in your ear. “you look a little tense. why don’t we get out of here?”

you glance back at sunghoon for a second before nodding, eager to feel some fresh air against your face. ki hong’s hand stays pressed against your lower back as he leads you outside. the night air is cooler than you expected. you shiver a little, rubbing your hands against the fabric of your shirt. ki hong glances over, hand still close ghosting against your lower back. “cold?”

you step back a little, nodding. “i didn’t really have a jacket to bring,” you laugh.

“you could always come back up to my room with me.” the innuendo to his words makes you shift uncomfortably. you wrap your arms further around yourself, taking another step back.

“no, i think i’ll just head back inside. sunghoon should be done with the dances anyways-”

you freeze when ki hong reaches out to grab your arm, pulling you back. “y/n,” he steps closer, slowly forcing you back against the wall. “come on, you’re seriously still with him? you could do so much better.”

you swallow nervously. the concrete of the castle digs into your skin. “i love sunghoon. you know that.”

“you’re his consort. you’re nothing to him. he keeps you around because you’re an easy fuck,” ki hong lets out a bitter laugh. you tense up as he leans a little closer. “he’s the king, y/n. he doesn’t even bring you to advisory meetings anymore. what were you expecting?”

you bite your tongue, cursing yourself for being so sensitive. tears sting your eyes, threatening to fall, but you blink them away, forcing them back. a pit grows in your stomach. what if he’s right?

“y/n,” ki hong’s voice drops back to a whisper. he softly smiles at you, almost sympathetic. his hand brushes against your cheek, wiping away a stray tear. “i can treat you better. you know i can.”

you grit your teeth, pushing him away. “no. i love sunghoon.”

ki hong’s face drops. he sighs, shaking his head as if he’s disappointed in you. “you were always so naive. he’s going to leave and you’ll end up alone.” he steps back, looking down at you. “again.”

“ki hong,” sunghoon’s voice is a welcome distraction from the uncertainty running through your mind. his hands clench at his side as he walks closer. ki hong stammers a little before sunghoon interrupts. “i don’t want to see you around him again.”

he nervously bows, mumbling a quick ‘yes, your majesty’ before he rushes off. sunghoon sighs, relaxing his shoulders. you push yourself off of the wall, almost jumping into his arms. he wraps his arms around your waist as you bury your face into his chest. fresh tears threaten to fall before you blink them away. “you’re okay,” he murmurs, hand rubbing your back. he presses a kiss to your forehead, coaxing your face away from his chest. “what did he say to you?”

you take a shaky breath, looking down at your feet. “he said i don’t mean anything to you.”

“oh, baby,” sunghoon pulls you back against his chest, wiping away the tears that run down your face. his grip around your waist tightens a little. “i love you. you mean everything to me.” you nod, wiping your face. sunghoon traces your jawline with his finger, lifting your face so you’re looking at him. “come on, let’s go to bed.”

you ignore the questioning glances from the servants and guards you pass as you rush back through the castle to your room. sunghoon’s arm stays firmly wrapped around your waist.

his hands are gentle as they carefully untie the knots on your clothing, hands gently running against your sides as he stips you. he’s quick to join you underneath the blankets, pulling you in closer so your head is resting on his chest. he rubs your back as you relax against him. he pulls your hand up to rest against his skin, over his heart. “do you feel that?” he whispers. “it beats for you. only for you.” you shift to press a kiss against his skin.

“i love you, hoon. so, so much.”

“i love you too. never forget that.”

“nishi, look at this shell! isnt it pretty? !”

“yeah! but i think you're even more pretty....” your friend, riki, said before handing you a small yet freshly picked out rose with seemingly absent thorns. “here, um, have it.. i already removed the thorns, so you wouldn't get pricked by any of them!” he said enthusiastically, not minding the small cuts on the palm of his fingers. saving you to catch the little reds seeping through the cuts and bits.

“gasp riki! your fingers, i think theres blood on it! are you okay?” quickly giving the rose that riki gave you to your mom who was alongside with his mother, giggling softly. while videoing the scene occuring in front of them. both of your mothers wanted you two to be the bestest of friends while growing up, but oh well, looks like destiny has other plans, with you both being two lovebirds already at such a young age! ehem, now grabbing the right hand of riki and swiftly swiping away the blood going out the cuts.

“im okay, those are just cuts! their nothing compared to a big boy like me! that's what momma said.” riki reassured you, earning a laughter that felt like sweet music to him and a smile which made his heart flutter like there we're butterflies flying both inside and outside of it. but riki did not know why he felt like this way, the way he would always be looking forward on waiting for you and seeing you before pre-school, the way he would always beg his mom and yours to let you both hang out, the way he would steal you away from your mother's grasp to instead get ahold of your warm and welcoming hands... and the way he wanted to just say-

“can i be yours?” silence. both mothers looked up from the camera to stare shockingly at riki, who was looking at you with those loved-filled eyes, waiting for your answer patiently. then to you, staring back at him with those confused-yet unfazed eyes, seemingly not knowing what he meant by that. looking back at your mother to eye-tell her what he meant.

as your mother whispered to your ear what he means, your eyes became a bit wide, once the meaning was out. before looking back at riki, who was still waiting patiently for an answer. “oh.. um, how about, when we are older?..” you rejected, in your well thought mind, dating was supposed to be for adults to worry about, and your not an adult, both of you are not yet adults! so it was only reasonable to say that ..right? well based on riki's reaction, simply smilling wider and giving you a thumbs up. “it's okay! i'll wait!”

quickly pausing the eight year old video that was saved on riki's mother memory card. “woah-ho-ho.. i did not remember that!” you said as you leaned back on your chair, avoiding riki's stare at you. few seconds passed by with an awkward silence before riki's simply chuckled, unpausing and replaying the video to the part where he gave you a rose. “not gonna lie, i forgot about this too..”

he said with that deep voice of his that was far from his younger and more gentle voice that was playing on the video. “can i be yours?” .... “oh.. um, maybe when we are older— riki adruptly paused that part, almost like slamming down the pause button. before rising and turning to you. “so... now that we're older, let me repeat this, um... can i be yours?”

an annoyed huff pierced the quiet, midnight air of the dance studio. you stood in front of the mirror, trying to perfect a move for about 20 minutes now, but you just couldn’t get it.

you groaned dramatically before falling to the floor, grabbing your phone to replay the video, hoping to retain some information and maybe just get the dance correct this time.

“who knew trying to surprise riki would be so hard?” you mumbled to yourself, nodding your head along to the beat of the song as you continued watching the recording of the dance.

a chuckle from the back of the room snapped you out of your daze; you turned around to see none other than the reason you put yourself through the misery of trying to learn a dance.

“riki!” you snapped, your eyebrows furrowed and your cheeks slightly flushed pink in embarrassment. “how long were you there, spying on me?”

“i wasn’t spying on you!” riki gasped at such an accusation. “besides, there’s mirrors all around this room, it’s not my fault you didn’t notice me.” riki walked closer to you and stood over you; you just continued to sit on the floor, staring up at the boy.

“gosh, it was supposed to be a surprise, i wanted to impress you…” you mumbled, finally getting up to your feet. “it was going to be super cute and everything.”

riki felt the small, teasing smirk on his face morph into a smile. how did he manage to end up with someone so adorable?

taking your hand, riki pulled you back in front of the mirror. “hey, don’t be sad baby. we can still have a super cute moment together.” riki stared at your confused face through the mirror while he adjusted your hand to the correct placement. “i mean i’ll teach you the choreography, silly.”

“wow ki, you’re such a romantic!” you teased with a giggle.

“i know, right! you have such an amazing boyfriend, y/n.”

after the small banter, riki stepped behind you, placing his right arm around your waist , his slender and somewhat chilly fingers held your stomach gently so you wouldn’t fall out of place. “1, 2, 3, and. . . turn.” riki recited the counts while teaching you how to move, his words were filled with nothing but softness and patience.

your eyes glanced at riki through the mirror, he looked so focus on mentoring you and you silently hoped that he wouldn’t notice how fast your heart was beating, or the redness which colored your cheeks, or the half nervous, giddy smile on your face; all side of effects of riki being so close to you

“great! now try without me.” riki stepped a few steps back, and you pouted at the warmth and closeness of his body suddenly abandoning you; nevertheless, you nodded.

you took a shot at the dance, executing it clumsily off a vague memory. (yes, riki might’ve taught you the dance just a few seconds ago, but your attention was placed completely on his cute, calculated expression, and you didn’t really learn much.)

“was that good?” you muttered, and riki’s eyes scanned you for a few seconds before he smiled. “way off, pretty girl.”

riki demonstrated slowly. “try to move your right leg closer to your left one, that way you can do the next step without falling.”

you nodded, taking in everything he had to say. “i think you’ve got it, try again baby.” riki instructed, and you did as said.

you started off a bit hesitant, but quickly understood the pace and grinned as you finally understood the move completely.

“i did it correctly, riki! did you see?” you said with excitement, looking back towards riki, only to see him already staring at you with adoration in his eyes and a smile which was matching your proud one.

“perfect, baby,” riki mumbled, walking closer to you and staring down into your eyes.

“mhm, because of you.” you said happily.

“no, not the dance, silly.” riki muttered, his voice shrunk close to a whisper, so that only you could hear. “i meant you’re perfect.”

riki’s hand traced over your cheeks, then slowly over your jawline, and you watched as he moved his soft yet calloused fingers delicately all over your face. your eyes soon moved from his hands to his face, only to see that riki was already staring at you.

riki moved his hand one final time to pat your hair lovingly. slowly, he connected the small space between your lips and his, pulling you infinitely closer to him as you lost yourself in the taste of his lips, relishing his touch while hoping that this perfect moment would never end.

Summary: You and Heeseung have been best friends for a while now. However, this time the two of you were in his room while you consoled him about his recent breakup.

Warning: , cheating, secret curses , fluff(?).

Note: After a long time I got inspiration, I will try to be more active. It won't be such a nice chapter, keep that in mind.

"Heeseung? What's wr-" Your words were cut off instantly since the raven man opened the door to his room and as he hugged you with great force, he would close it with his foot. Your hands began to caress his back after having felt a big heavy sigh on your neck, Heeseung had been crying for more than two hours and you needed to know the reason for the problem. As soon as he pulled away, you found your way to his bed to sit down and take a wider view of him pacing around the center of his room.

"I'm an idiot, M/N. I should have listened to you." He exclaimed in a dull tone unsure of what to say.

"Did she do something to you? Did you guys argue again?" You sat up straight on the bed and now your eyes can't stop looking at him.

The next scene was that boy throwing his phone next to you, you managed to see that his gallery was open and there were a couple of screenshots that he himself sent you to read. Your eyes would now begin to let out a couple of tears after reading several messages where you could clearly see his girlfriend being unfaithful, you did not hesitate to turn off the phone and direct your body towards the brunette, seeking to at least give him a hug.

"I loved her, M/N, I loved her more than anything else. Why doesn't she love me the same way? Did I do something wrong?" He said after avoiding your interaction and lying part of his body on the bed.

"Heeseung, you didn't do anything wrong, you should understand that she is the one who is wrong. She is letting go of the best person in the world, you are so attentive and so cute when you fall in love..." You quickly ran your hand over your cheek as you felt a tear run down it. You sat down gently next to the beautiful boy with doe eyes and left one of your hands on his leg, patting it once in a while.

"You must understand that if you already know this, the best thing you should do is break u-..." Your lips were silenced by a dry kiss that the taller one gave you, your eyes were completely open after feeling that taste of beer that was all over his lips. You couldn't believe this was really happening so you decided to push him away but your struggle was in vain after the boy wrapped both hands around your body. You had liked him for a long time, you could say since you confessed to him that you were openly gay and he did nothing but hug you and tell you that it didn't matter, after all you would still be his friend, his best friend.

You closed your eyes as you let yourself be carried away by the kiss after a few minutes where he continued moving his lips against yours; You responded to his kiss after placing both hands on the sides of his cheeks, caressing and squeezing them a little. He would begin to put his hands under your sweater and caress your exposed skin with his cold hands. This action would make you frown slightly. frown, you didn't give it any importance after a few seconds.

After a few seconds the boy would leave a wet trail that started from your lips and ended on your neck.

"I love you, Wony, I can be better... I can do my best."

What? Wony? Did he really say that? Your heart broke in two when you realized that you were only being used by him, you were being his way of release. You pushed his body as far as you could and ran out of his room with tears running down your cheeks and down your neck, the only thing you could hear between your sea of thoughts and curses was his mother asking you why you were leaving so suddenly and so much. More like that, crying.

bf!niki who loves to see you and cuddle up to you after a long day at dance practice. He just loves coming up to you after he goes over to your place and showers and cuddling up to you. He even has his own little corner in your closet so he doesn’t have to go over all the way to the dorms and then all the way over to your place.

you often find yourself entranced by heeseung. you silently watch as he prepares dinner, hands flexing with every movement. he falls into silence as he concentrates on his task. his eyes narrow as he focuses, jaw clenching just slightly as he continues.

you don’t notice how long you’ve been watching him until he stops, smirking as he looks at you. “you’re staring,” he looks down with a light flush on his face, failing to hide a smile.

“i love it when you do that.”

“do what?”

“smile.” you can see heeseung’s ears burn as he becomes even more flustered, but you ignore it, walking over to where he’s standing. “i love when you smile like you’re the happiest person alive.” you wrap your arms around his waist, leaning against his back. “because that’s how you make me feel.”

“shut up,” heeseung mumbles underneath his breath. you chuckle, tightening your grip around him a little.

“i love you too.”

“babe, come here,” jay calls. you wipe your eyes, hissing at the sting from the onion. jay chuckles as you press the sleeves of your hoodie against your eyes, blindly walking over to where he stands at the stove. “my sweet boy, let me cut the onions next time,” he chuckles. you blink a couple times, trying to clear the blurriness from your eyes.

“maybe i should let you do everything yourself next time,” you whine. “what did you need?”

“try this,” jay holds out a piece of chicken coated in sauce. you take a small bite from it, nodding at the taste.

“it’s good.”

“good.” jay leans forward to pull you into a quick kiss, licking some sauce from the corner of your lip. you freeze when he pulls away, debating for a minute. “it is good.” he hums.

jake gasps, tugging on your hand as he leads you over to a claw machine. “look! they have claw machines!” you laugh, watching as he eagerly swipes the arcade card to play the game. he turns to you, gesturing to the various prizes inside of the machine. “which one do you want?”

“are you really gonna win me an arcade prize?” you ask.

“you don’t believe in me?” jake cocks his head, pulling you over to stand in front of the machine with him. “come on, pick one.”

you shake your head put point out a small fox plush. “there. the fox is cute.”

you lean against the wall as you watch jake eagerly move the claw, pausing every now and then to adjust its position over the toy. finally, he presses the button, lowering the claw down. to your surprise, he wins on his first try. he kneels down to grab the plush, handing it to you.

“nice job,” you smile, wrapping your arms around the fox. “thank you.”

“do i get a prize for winning?” you pull him into a quick kiss that jake deepens when he moves to hold your jaw in place. when he pulls away, he presses a peck against your forehead.

“thank you for the fox,” you smile. “i love you.”

“i love you too.”

“congratulations… (group name)!” you share a glance with your leader as you make your way to the stage. you take the trophy with shaky hands, staring at the audience in disbelief. next to you, one of your members nudges you, gesturing for you to walk to the microphone to say something.

“ah, thank you so much for everything,” you start. “i especially want to thank park sunghoon. you’re the light of my life. i couldn’t have done this without you.”

you leave the stage with a small bow, clutching the trophy as you return to your seats. you anxiously wait for the rest of the awards to be given out, sharing small glances with sunghoon every now and then.

“y/n!” sunghoon cheers, wrapping his arms around you and twirling you around. you laugh, hiding your face into his neck as he sets you down. sunghoon leans forward to press his lips against yours. “congratulations, baby.”

“thank you,” you laugh. sunghoon pushes a strand of hair out of your eyes, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

“i’m so proud of you.” you bite back a smile, pulling him into another sweet kiss.

“i couldn’t have done it without you.”

“okay,” you whisper, pulling the blankets up over him. “why don’t you pick out a movie?” sunoo nods, moving so his back is pressed against your chest. you wrap your arm around him, resting your hand on his waist.

after a few minutes, sunoo sighs, relaxing into your hold. “i love you.” he whispers.

you press a kiss to his neck, tucking his head underneath your chin. “i love you too.”

jungwon curls further into your arms, laying his head against your chest. you tighten your grip around him, leaning down to press a kiss against his forehead. you can hear jay shuffling around in the kitchen as he makes dinner. sunghoon places a cup of tea down onto the coffee table before sitting on the couch next to you.

“how is he?” sunghoon asks.

“his cough is still pretty bad but he’s been keeping some more food down.” sunghoon nods, adjusting the blanket so it wraps further around jungwon’s body.

“that’s good,” he hums. “you know, he’s not usually like this.”

you brush a hand through jungwon’s hair when he stirs a little, trying to lull him back to sleep.

“like what?”

“all… relaxed. he doesn’t really let us take care of him. i’m glad he has you.” you bite back a small smile, continuing to play with the strands of jungwon’s hair.

niki wraps his arms around your waist, holding you against his chest as he continues to play. you’ve been watching him for hours as he skillfully navigates between the different buttons on his controller. you wait for him to finish the round before turning back to look at him.

“niki?”

“hm?”

“can i play a round?” niki nods, leaning over your shoulder as he hands you the controller.

“you’re really gonna let him play on your rank?” jake raises an eyebrow from his spot on the couch. niki shrugs, looking back at him.

“why not?”

sunghoon scoffs from next to jake. “you don’t even let us log onto your account in case we drop your rank at all.”

“y/n’s my boyfriend. if he wants to play on my account then he can.”

“are you sure?” you ask. niki moves so his chin is on your shoulder, hands hovering over yours. “i’m fine not playing.”

niki shakes his head. “i don’t care about the rank. i love you. if you want to play a round then go ahead.”

you hope niki doesn’t notice how flustered you are as you lean over to press a quick kiss against his cheek before turning back to the screen. his hands move from yours to rest on your waist as he watches you join a round. “thank you.”

niki leans down to press a kiss against your shoulder. “anything for you.”
