Chapter seven
After Erik drove away Israel came in to the house grinning even though he low key pissed her off.
She was still happy that she got to spend time with him, Erik was actually bringing happiness and excitement to her dull life and she couldn't be happier about it.
Israel walked right passed her brothers and into the kitchen, not even noticing all her brothers and their friends sitting in the living room looking at her like she lost her mind.
She grabbed a water bottle and began to chug it. Until she heard someone clear their throat. She turned around and started choking on the cold water. Noah got up from the floor and made his way over to pat her on the back.
When she got her choking under Control, she waved at them giving her best smile trying not to look suspicious.
"Who the fuck was that nigga you was wit'?" Her smile dropped.
"What are you talking about I-" Jay cut his eyes at her, daring her to lie to his face. Israel rolled her eyes trying to play it off. "He's Just one of my friends jay, relax."
"Since when do you have guy friends?" He asked walking into the kitchen. Everyone now quiet like he was some sort of king.
"Since when did I have to answer to you?" Israel spit back, looking him up and down. Jay was a bit taken back from her tone because it wasn't like her to get go smart mouth with him.
"Since you were born fuck you mean when? You forgetting that you the youngest?" He said cocking his head back like she just said the most stupidest shit ever. "no but You keep forgetting I'm grown. I can do as I please." She hissed slamming the freighter door shut. "I'm not no damn baby anymore, stop trying to tell me what I can and can't do I'm grown rather you like it or not, the fuck" she said stepping up to him as if he wasn't 6'0 and bulky grown man. not even realizing that she had raised her tone with him...or that she was cussing.
"Girl-" she quickly held her hand up to hush him. "No! I'm so done with this shit! Y'all three get to do whatever y'all want and y'all still live in mom and dads house and don't nobody say shit to y'all but when I hang out with someone of the opposite gender it's a problem? as if you did just sneak that girl In your room not to long ago, as if y'all wasn't fucking in there while mom was downstairs right under your room." She spit out dropping her head down a bit to give him a death stare. She was so irritated and had so much adrenaline running through her, she was shaking.
"You really can't say shit to me jay!" She said slapping her hand on the counter, and her other hand in her hip. Looking like a middle aged black mama yelling at her disobedient child while jay just stood there staring wildly at her but there wasn't much he could say. It was all true. She cut him up and now he was stuck not knowing what to say.
It was quiet in the living room and kitchen.
Jays friends didn't say a thing but they were fully entertained with the argument going on between the two Sibling.
"So what you just fucking random niggas now? Huh? That's where you was last night? At that niggas house being a hoe?" He shouted, veins popping out the side of his head. Israel face dropped at his words and they stung more then she thought they would.
You could hear a pin drop nobody made a move or spoke a word. Just a silent staring contest between the two. Jays fists balled, shoulders squared looking like he was ready to fight while Israel on the other hand was her eyes were getting glossy and her breathing heavy. She could feel the lump in her throat getting harder to swallow.
She cleared her throat and turn to walk back to get her bag by the front door. And heading up stairs, there was nothing else to be said. Israel now knew that her big brother saw her as nothing more then just a hoe, he has made it very clear today.
Israel waited until she was 18 just to talk to men and now he was calling her a hoe not even knowing that she only stayed for the night, And that was all. But there was no point in arguing with jay, he was stubborn and a asshole. if that's what he thought that's what he thought.
She shut her bedroom door and headed straight to her bed, stuffing her face in her pillow tears coming down like a waterfall.
She was Tempted to call Erik just so he could come get her of the hell hole she called home.
Maybe that was over dramatic but she hated it here, she loved her family but being with them 24/7 wasn't something she planned on doing once she turned eighteen. She honestly thought she would have been treated like her brothers were but then again she was never given a fraction of the freedom her brothers has. She was never treated like her feelings mattered, everything has always been about the boys.
You would think that since she's the only daughter her father has she would be treated like a princess and get away with everything but that definitely wasn't the case with her father. She was always the one to get yelled at first, she was always the first one to get blamed for something she didn't do and was always the first to get it the worst of her siblings.
Her father was a strict, mean military man that had no Sympathy for anyone and he clearly passed that down to his oldest son.
She was so sick of crying over them, she was so sick of being mistreated.
With tears still running down her face she sat up and took a deep breath feeling like she was dropping down into that deep hole she liked to hide herself in when she was feeling down.
His words replaying in her head like a broken record. She wasn't a hoe and she knew that and she knew that she didn't sleep with Erik but some how his words sank into her skin so deep that she felt dirty. Like she had committed some sort of sin.
She was only having fun, and finally getting the teenage experience she never got to have when she was younger.
Israel was tired of crying over things her family has said to her it was time for her to stop letting their words hurt her and effort her mental health.
She stood up from her bed and decided that she wanted to take a flower bath and just pray her troubles away.
-
Erik parked his black Mercedes-Benz G-Class outside of the were house he owned. This was the place he kept all of his weapons, books, important papers and information he had collected over the years of him being in college and the navy.
He and ten of his close friends that he met in the navy had formed a elite group of former navy seals. Their jobs were to Take down small governments and expose them. They also would kill small amounts of police officers and clans men which 9 times outta 10 were the same group of men.
About six months age they made a little mistake that almost got them caught which would've cost them their lives which is why they took a break to regroup to better themselves. Erik and three of his boys ace, zeik and Rae all trained the hardest they ever have far as fighting techniques, Brent, rocky and von all worked with weapons and the rest of the boys were hackers.
Today was their first meeting in six months. Erik has changed Plans and moved things from the original date so this meeting is important.
Erik walked to the side door of the warehouse and slide up the side  paneling to reveal the handprint scanner, that was the only way to get into it up less you climb to the very top and through the window but the chances of that happening was slim. Once he was into he went to the corner of the large warehouse and behind the staircase that lead you to go upstairs which was empty.
He walked into the staircase little door where there was a another door that used Voice activation to open. "State your name please." a robotic voice said as it Scanned his face. "Erik Stevens."
"Face scan complete, welcome back erik." The voice said as the heavy Metal door opened to Reveal his underground lab.  "Feels good to be back." Erik Chuckled as he walked down the steps. All of his boys turned their heads from the game of pool to Erik. "Ayo Erik where you been at motherfucka you was supposed to be here a hour and a half ago." Erik grin as he dubed ace up ignoring zeik interrogation. "Right and you be the main one mad if Someone else late to the meetings." Rae butted in.
Erik rolled his eyes.
"If y'all don't shut the fuck up, I gotta life to I just got caught up." He shrugged them off as he walked over to his desk. Rae eyebrows raised as he looked at the rest of them and they all were just as confused as him. Erik and "personal" just didn't go together in the same sentence, if he wasn't working out he was working. Erik was always work, work, work.
Brent smirked as he grabbed his water  bottle and took a sip "him must got a new bitch or sum'" ace snorted "nigga yeah right that nigga ain't been in a relationship in years, Erik fucks and dips." It was true. That just wasn't like Erik.
"All I hear is you motherfuckas being worried about me let's get to work!" Erik clap his hands exactly as he went into the meeting room with the rest of the men following.
-
After a four hour meeting they had finally figured everything out. It was now 10:46 and Erik was tired, Israel sleeping over had him exhausted since it fucked up his sleep schedule. On a normal day Erik was in bed 11 o'clock and up at 6 o'clock in the morning. Sleep was very important to a healthy life style. It was Proven that people that get at least 7 hours of sleep they live longer.
Soon as Erik got home he took a shower and got straight in bed. he didn't even bother putting on clothes.
It's almost been a week since Erik has last spoken to Israel since he had been so busy. It's been strictly wake up, eat, work, train and work some more he didn't really have time to hang or call.
He felt a little bad for it but he knew that she knew he wasn't ignoring her intentionally...at least he hoped she knew that.
Today Erik was going to the gun range with ace just to do some training and catch up with him since they really hasn't had the chance to do that.
Since ace's car was in the shop right now so erik decided to pick him up instead of him catching a Uber. Soon as erik pulled up to aces Apartment he saw he step out of his door and jogged over to the passenger side.
"Wassup E," he said as he sat his bag down in the back seat. "Wassup bro you ready to show these niggas how to aim?" Erik said jokily as he drove off.
Erik cooked his AMT and aimed it at the head of the paper man all the way in the range and let multiple bullets fly from it giving him a slight rush. He adjusted his safety glasses and gripped the handle of the gun again before pulling the trigger but aiming at a different figure. Him and ace were both in their own little worlds before the ringtone from Erik's phone pulled him back down to earth, it caught aces attention too.
It was Israel.
Erik beamed down at the screen but Debated if he should answer it or not, he wanted to he really did but decided it would be best if he called her later since he could barely hear from all the gun shots being fired.
"Who was that? Got you smiling and shit..." ace asked with his eyebrows raised. Placing his gun down to face Erik. "Nigga why you so damn nosy?" Erik cut his eyes at him while blindly putting his phone back into his pocket.
"What you mean nigga? I'm just trying to see who making my dawg so happy is that a crime?" He said jokingly jerking his head back. Erik rolled his eyes.
"It's was one of my friends." Erik stated before grabbing his gun again trying to get off the topic. Ace put his hand out and pushed the gun down before he could pull the trigger.
"What friend? cause the last time i checked we had the same circle of friends?" Erik sigh getting annoyed with aces interrogation. Did he want to tell his best friend about Israel? Hell nah. Because he know his best friend and he knows he's going to go over bored and start doing the most with questions.
"You don't know her. Drop it nigga."
"Her? So you got a bitch or sumn'" Erik shock his head not even meaning to slip up and say anything. It was to late to take back now. "Nah she not my girl, we just been chilling." Erik shrugged, as he corrected him.
"Lemme see what she look like nigga how you know I don't know her?"
"Hell nah nigga stop being nosy-"
"Ok but if I had a bitch I would show you-"
"She not a bitch tho." Erik said sternly in their back and forth bickering. As annoyed as Erik was ace had a point and they both knew it. Ace talked to him about everything and if he was interested in a girl Erik would be the first to know about it. Erik put his gun on safety and sat it down before digging In his back pocket to grab his phone.
He scrolled through his camera until he found his favorite picture of Israel. It was one she sent to him not to long ago, her hair was wild with tiny ringlet coils. Her lips and mouth were stained red from the dumdum that hung from it. She had her white silk night gown on and a dainty rose flower necklace that hung between her collarbone.
Erik handed him the phone and watched as he brought his fist up to his mouth. "Nigga she fine as fuck damn where you find her at?"
"A party I went to not to long ago, she was shy as fuck she would barely talk to me." Erik chuckled taking his phone back to put it back in his pocket. "We been hanging out the last few weeks, she cool." Erik said nonchalantly to make it seem like he wasn't feeling shordy as much as he was. To someone like didn't know Erik as well as ace did he would've them really thinking he didn't like her and it wasn't a big deal but ace knew.
"You feeling her?" Ace asked facing Erik now, Erik shrugged.
"Like I said she cool."
"Mm." Was all ace said. Erik didn't need to answer, ace already knew the answer.

I'm very surprised with myself at what comes out of my head in One o'clock in the morning. That and the fact that I tend to get much more creative when I'm not stressed. All good things.
But, this is a second part to my original post just to clarify some things and expand on my thought process.
I see being a horsemen as being a temporal thing. It is not set in stone. Because over the years the mutants who have occupied theses roles have changed. I personally Headcanon for En Sabah Nur that the first horsemen, meant A LOT to him as they were his first friends and as devoted to Sabah Nur's cause/vision as he was himself. Not because they were forced into the role, but really believed in. However, when they died in battle or of natural causes. It hit Sabah Nur hard, but as new horsemen replaced them over the years, he cared less and less about them. Only wanted to the strongest among them.
Now, being a horsemen is an honor and privilege, it isn't a right. But, there's a catch, he only wants the strongest to be his horsemen. What happens if your not the strongest? Well...you die. Horsemen don't get a nice retirement. They either: A. Die of natural causes if they live long enough, B. Die in battle C. Die by a challenger's hand for their role or D. Sabah Nur kills them for being to uppity/perceived as weak or even wants someone new for the role.
Now Sabah Nur regulates this so a mutant just doesn't beat a horsemen on sheer luck, needs to be qualified for the role; the present horsemen may have long terms plans that they need to accomplish and finally keeping morale up and the horsemen working as a team in battle.
En Sabah Nur isn't stupid, he knows that the horsemen are some of the most powerful mutants on the Earth. What is stopping them from overthrowing him? Keeping them worried that they will be replaced and their own survival, Of Course!
So to keep Erik in line and not talking to Peter, he constantly has challenges more than any other horsemen that he has to fight off.
This is what makes Peter not as a horsemen, but as En Sabah Nur's heir/First Son/Reborn Son, so much more damning. It's so much more personal to him because it strikes a cord in him as he was abandoned by his human parents. And wants Peter to be at his side at all times; En Sabah Nur is a lonely dude and is desperate for affection.
Even if Erik de-programs Peter, which will happen eventually. It will pain Erik having to talk to a brainwashed Peter, who's utterly devoted to En Sabah Nur and consistently insists that he rejected him and En Sabah Nur, my 'real' father loves me!
For Erik's failure for failing to round up survivor or something or not killing a member of the X-Men or something evil. In his throne room, Sabah Nur takes out his anger, not on Erik, but on Peter. It's an utter gut-punch for Erik. Peter still bloody and bruised asks permission to clean himself off and Sabah Nur allows him and Erik follows Peter, and confronts him wanting to know if he's Ok or not? Peter still utterly brainwashes says it wasn't Sabah Nur who hurt him, but the Horsemen of War for his weakness. And the weakness of one, makes all of us weak. We fail ourselves, we fail each other! And asks him the question does he not feel joy when fighting and feel alive when he's killing? How he wants to join En Sabah Nur in battle. What an honor that would be! Erik shocked, before stating that's more to life to than just fighting.
Erik sees tears streaming down, Peter, the real Peter, is fighting. Erik tends to Peter's wounds and mutters over and over how sorry he is that he got Peter into this mess.
Peter is with the most powerful mutant in the world for most of the day and if Sabah Nur catches him that he isn't perfectly idolizing and worshiping as he normally would. Peter is in danger and Sabah Nur can always re-brainwash him until Peter's will breaks.
So Erik and Peter has to leave before Sabah Nur catches on that Peter isn't brainwashed anymore.

Prophecy - Part 1 - part 2 - Part 3
Tchalla gave Erik a knowing look as he was buried in the soft red powdered soil. This time he wasn't nervous like he had been before.
He knew what to expect and how to conduct himself but the same could not be said for Erik.
Erik didn't really care about the formalities that came with the ritual, all he wanted was to see his father if he's lucky his mother as well but he doubted that since he was informed only Wakandan natives lived in the ancestral plane. Moments later both the men were gone, far from their human form. Erik opened his eyes, breath pulled from his chest. He witnessed a sight he never thought he would see again.
He was holding his old basketball in the old basketball court in his old neighbourhood. It was dark. The skies a deep purple and blue and the streets he knew so well were empty. On impulse, he dropped the ball and ran up to his old home upstairs. Sprinting towards his past.  The apartment was still the same. Old coach with unknown stains, box T.V, brown carpet and most importantly the hidden cupboard that was filled with Wakandan objects. Erik opened one of his favourite books from his father's collection, amused by the fact that there was a point in his life he didn't understand the written language and now he did.
"Erik.." He turned to see his father. Joy washed over his body but he didn't show it.
"It's N'Jadaka now Pops." A smile grew on N'Jobu's face.
"You used to hate that name?" Erik chuckled at the memory of his younger self- asking him to call him Erik more often
"Cause nobody could say it right. Were am at now, everybody say it correct."  N'Jobu's smile dropped.
"You..are King?" He leaned towards his son.
"Nah. Things didn't work out like that. Actually things ...l."
Erik let out a sigh as he sat down.
"Erik I thought I made it clear that you had to be King in order to let-" Erik cut him off.
"- All due respect Pops but the shit I did to them... am lucky they didn't kill me on the spot."
"So what .. you're going to save the black race with hugs and kisses?" Erik knew he would react like this.
"There isn't one way to help. Tchalla's is doing good. He's a good dude good king...When shit wasn't going my way he put me on trial. The whole counsel wanted me dead or Exiled but he fought my case. Got them to trust me, taught me so much. He likes the brother I never had."
N'Jobu didn't look impressed. He wanted radical change and he thought his son would be the answer but he wasn't. He understood that.
"I killed Zuri......" Erik looked up at his father waiting for a reaction.
"Good." Erik rolled his eyes.
"I got a girl too."
N'Jobu eyes went to Erik's
"For real?" the much-needed humor comeback
"Yeah,(Y/N)....She the total opposite of me, I love her."
"Is she from Wakanda?"  N'Jobu lifted his eyebrows in anticipation.
"Yeah, her Dad is American...Her Mom was a wardog."
"I know this is not what you wanted to hear from me but I didn't want to let you down."  N'Jobu stood up and Erik mirrored him.
"You could never disappoint me. All these books and that ring, all of this artifacts are how I saw Wakanda. You have to do it your way now even if its under His leadership. Your smart and I trust your judgement. Am proud to call you my son, never forget that. Now go ."
Erik did what he was told he gave his father one last hug and left. Falling back into a sleep like state.
On the other hand, Tchalla was having a different experience than Erik. Rather than a deep heart to heart Tchalla's father was advising him on how to run Wakanda, keep his relationship with his wife strong and telling him to take care of Shuri and Queen Mother.
What seemed like hours was only a few minutes to the Shamen and healers who waited patiently around the men's bodies. They both started shaking back to life, fighting for air as they erupted from the red soil.
"They are back, quickly help them up." One of the Shamen spoke. Erik and Tchalla were helped up, clothed and left alone in the underground cave in a manner of minutes. Erik had his eyes shut leaning against the wall due to a headache he was experiencing.
Tchalla wanted to leave take a shower and take a nap with his wife. He opened his eyes to check on Erik and see how he was doing. He couldn't wrap his mind around what he was seeing. When the blurriness went away. He thought maybe he wasn't back from the ancestral planes and he was experiencing an outer body experience.
An outer body experience.
That is the only thing that can explain why he was seeing his himself leaning against the cave wall sweaty and breathless. He felt a slight stroking motion when he turned his head to the side. He investigated and found long dreads draped to the side of his face and healed scars all over his body. That’s when he realized something went terribly wrong.
“ N'Jadaka !!” His voice sounded like Erik’s, the discovery stressed him even more.
“Ay man not right now...my shit hurt.“ He grabbed his face which technically belonged to Tchalla and let out a grunt. He slowly open his eyes to look across the cave.
“Why the hell do I sound like you and where are my locks at? wha-“ Erik stopped talking when he saw himself across the cave as well. At first there was a sense of interest in the situation that was quickly followed by panic.
Erik charged at Tchalla. Grabbing the loose clothing he had just put on.
“What the fuck did you do to me? What is this?“ Erik was not getting used to Tchalla deep and slow voice leaving his mouth and being replaced with his own voice. He wanted his body back and So did Tchalla.
“I didn't do this.“ Tchalla pushed him of his chest and tried to think of all the ways this could happen.
“This some African Freaky Friday voodoo nonsense?” Erik asked Tchalla. He could see he was deep in thought his whole face painted with worry. All thought Tchalla did hear him he didn't respond.
“This ...this is “ Tchalla for the fist time had no answer. He was lost and hopeless.
“What now? I mean How the hell are you going to run the country in my body?”
Tchalla stepped back and gave Erik a look of concern.
How was he going to run the Kingdom in Erik’s body?
The people had forgiven Erik for his past doings and actions but they would never let him Run the Country?
Was this Erik’s doing? If they changed bodies he could still go through with the planes he promised to drop.In his body he could easily ship one the vibranium Shuri has been working on to start his war!
“You did this? To take over the ....country? Didn't you?” Erik was visibly confused.
“Nigga ...come for me different. I made a whole ass promise to sever the nation and follow the rules. Am out here going to therapy and shit to better myself and you think I would go back to my old ways. Am your right hand .....man. AM ON YOUR TEAM....Man fuck you!”
Tchalla had never seen Erik this raw before maybe once before they fought at the waterfall but not like this. He felt a bit guilty.
“If it wasn't you nor I - do you think our fathers had a hand in this?”
“My Pops would do this.” He sounded so sure.
“We should hurry to Shuri so she cant help remedy this.“
On the way to the Lab all Erik could think about was you and how you would reaction. It was about 6 o'clock and he knew you would want to see him soon. So many questions were flying in his head.
What would you do?
How would you react? would you stay with him even though he looked and sounded like Tchalla now?
or maybe the opposite?
Would you want Tchalla ?
He was really worried about that one. Tchalla in Erik’s body would be the perfect man He thought to himself.
He didn't have any deep-rooted traumatic childhood stories. He was raised in a 2 parent loving home and to top it off he had his body. The one he knew you loved so much. As they made there way passing the guards who grated with a slight bow his mind drifted to all the times you would praise his body and performance in bed. He knew you liked his scars and broad shoulders He just couldn't wrap his head around the idea of losing you.
Shuri could not stop laughing. Tears had rolled down her eyes the second Tchalla and Erik explained the situation.
“Wait so you telling me .....You are...you.... but in him. Oh Bast..I can't“  She laughed again while both men deadpanned her
Honesty Shuri didn't believe them at first but the way Tchalla spoke gave it away. Even though the voices matched the bodies... when did Tchalla ever say Ass or Shit. She later calmed down and took the matter seriously. In 5 hours she did all the research she could while Erik and Tchalla sat and waited nervously. Tchalla wanted to call Latifa. Tell her what's going on but knowing her she was properly out in the garden helping Romonda with her plants.
Night was slowly creeping and Shuri stressed even more when she saw now way out of this.
“I need more time!“
“How much more a day, a week?“ Tchalla asked in Erik’s body
“No cousin, sorry.... I mean Brother I will need maybe a mouth to create a simulation with theories I can test out.....that’s if science can even help. I will also go to the Shamens and Witch doctors ask if there is anything they can do. But I will report back to you.”
“What are we going to do in the meantime??“ Erik asked
“Have you ever watched any America Movie ever...You switch lives until the heroin ...me ...saves you from this!“ Shuri smiled.
“You mean I’m gonna have to play king??” The way he said it didn't sit right with Tchalla...it was as if he was mocking his position.
“Latifa,(Y/N) and the kingdom must not know or they will see you both as unfit to be king and else they might appoint me to be King.”
Shuri used King on purposefully
Erik and Tchalla looked at each other. They were thinking about the same thing. The same elephant in the room that Shuri didn't see. The WAG’s
How the hell would they switch lives when most of their lives involved their partners and the Kingdom. They had to act like each other with...each others wife...and girlfriend.
“No!!...We need to leave. Come up with something and we need to go until Princess finds a solution.“ Erik was not having. He was not about to entertain the idea of Tchalla getting close with you. He knew how handsy you were sometimes and he was not about to risk anything.
“This cant be real.“ Erik said to himself.
We can't leave now. The borders are going to be opened soon and we need to allocate the outreach programmers all around the world this is not the time for our absences.“
Tchalla was deep in thought not even making eye contact with anyone.
“If we tell them. Do you think they will believe us?“ Erik asked.
“Latifa is .....No.“ he was blunt.
Tchalla didn't want Shuri and Erik to know what was happening in his marriage at the moment. Latifa and Tchalla had hit a wall in their marriage. Fights everyday. She argued that Tchalla was always busy and that he could see he had eyes for the War Dog Nakia. He had no time for her. They had a fight just before he went to the ancestral plane ritual. But he really didn't care at the moment.
Not only that but ever since Tchalla married the sweet girl from the Mining Tribe she changed. Over the years being Queen got to her and she became entitled. She was demanding and cunning and Tchalla hated that. The idea of not being with his wife for a bit sounded great and he hated that he felt that way.
“N'Jadaka we can do this ...We tell them that we are working on something important with Shuri in the lab. They wont question our obscene. If we are not at meetings or the lab we can go hang out the Mbaku.”
“If you really think that this will work you are out of your mind.“ Erik said through his hands knowing the plane might not work.
“This will be so easy...you have known each other for about a year now. You two know each other better than you think.“ Shuri sounded optimistic. Erik was starting to buying her optimism. If Erik was being honest Shuri was his favorite. He had a bias towards her so he stood up and agreed.
“Fuck it. Let's do it. get this shit over and down with.“
Shuri smiled and retreated something from her desk.
“Use this.....These are my new Earbud  Wireless  Mini Earpieces Devices i've been working on. You can talk to Tchalla without even lifting a finger and no will be able to see them because of their camouflage technology to camouflage and blind into your skin.. “ She gave them the ear pieces and they installed them effortlessly. They then turned color to match each man.
“This is impressive Shuri.“ Tchalla stood up to leave and Erik followed.
“”See you tomorrow Princess“
They walked out the lab but Erik stopped Tchalla midway to the the side of the palace that had their rooms.
“Look T ...Am not playing. Don’t touch her, if she getting dressed dont look at her, if she tries to touch you smack her hand off ..I dont care what she does but dont touch her. You go in you get bed and you leave in the morning. Am  dead ass right now T. I will whip your ass.“ Erik’s eyes were wide open as he semi yelled at him.
There was a pause as Tchalla agreed. Erik was waiting for Tchalla to give him the same warning for Latifa but nothing Tchalla said nothing. This worried Erik. It was very odd.
Or maybe Tchalla trusted that Erik wouldn't try anything with her?
Or maybe he didn't care if he did try anything with her?
They both went to the others bedroom and wife/girlfriend.
Tchalla was nervous. You and Tchalla were on good terms but he had never really seen you outside of being Eriks Girlfriend. This experience was going to be tricky for him. He was more afraid of seeing a side of you Erik was more familiar with. That side you was only for Erik to see and Tchalla felt a bit guilty that he might see it tonight.
Tchalla opened the double door entrance to your suite type room. His Heightened scenes picked up of the Vanilla and rose water scents in the air. The lights were dimmed with the curtains wide open to the view of the east side of Wakanda. Tchalla was shocked at how different and beautifully your living space was to his. The mix of African and American modern decor mixed well. Crystal glasses, mirrors with the Ebony wood and the dark ceiling. Tchalla eyes were too busy admiring the large room to notice you standing at the bathroom door.
“Baby you good?“ Your voice was laced with concern but still sweet.
“Am fine.“ Your eyebrows pulled together. He was acting weird, standing in the middle of the room his arms at the back of his body. You looked him up and down examining him.
You quickly remembered that he had the ancestral ritual that you and Latifa could not attend.
“How was it?.....“ You walked over to him, took his hand and sitting of the soft bed. He tried to pull his hand out of your  soft grip but he liked how it felt.
“Not much happened.... “ You wanted for him to continue
“Come on you were wanting for this months. You were so happy to meet your dad, to tell him about everything that happened. You were going to tell him about Tchalla and...me. Come on don’t hold back now. What happened?“”
“What was he going to say about me??“ You were confused
“Sorry...I mean what was I going to say about...Tchalla?“
“You know ....How he helped and that he is king and his doing a fantastic job. Even though Mbaku thought he wouldn't.“
Tchalla smiled and felt his heart race when you pushed back the locks behind his ear.
Latifa had stopped treating Tchalla like this. The cute small meaningful gestures since the fights. Okay to be honest he felt like there wasn't any effort anymore in their marriage and no one knew about it. And that is why he enjoyed living this lie. Saying what he felt and having someone to really listen to him and someone who really seemed to care.
“Okay maybe you will tell me the full story another day about your ‘super secret ritual’“
Another thump hit his heart when you smiled and Eriks Words echoed in his head
Don’t touch her, if she getting dressed dont look at her, if she tries to touch you smack her hand of ..I dont care what she does but dont touch her.
Tchalla pulled his hand from yours and stood up.
“I should go to bed am not feeling .....So great.“
“Oh Do you have a headache, a cold ?” On your toes felt his forehead. He loved how concerned you were, even though he know you were worrying about Erik not him really but he liked it.
“Don’t worry (Y/N) i'll be fine”
“Nigga what did you call me?” He stood still.
“(Y/N) ...”
“Since when  do you call me by my name.” your hand on your hip. You were placing with him but Tchalla was freaking out.
“I...i..i “ You laughed at his stuttering
“Joking babe. Come let's take this off.” You pulled of his hoody and white T admiring his body.
The way he was acting didn't go unnoticed but you didn't want to worry yourself too much about it. All you wanted was to have a beautiful glow for the next morning and there was only way one you could get it.
Without warning, you pushed him on the bed and straddled his hips. Tchalla Adrenaline was pumping. His instinct was telling his hands to grip your ass. In his defence It looked so soft and round. Your chubbiness was all over his lap and he was so overwhelmed.
“I think this is not a good idea.“ His voice was low.
“why...Don't you want me tonight?“
“Am very tired and I think slumber would best suit us tonight.“ He gave you an innocent smile.
You grabbed his shoulder tighter trying to play off the confusion and embarrassment running through your veins.
“Is there something you ...want to tell me. Like why your speaking like this....and why am taking an L from you right now?“
He picks you up and places you on the bed  without an answer.
“Erik the second  you come back tonight your been acting weird, calling me by my name,Not making eye contact, refusing to talk to me normally. Refusing my touches? I dont know but your acting like a guilty child right now. So are you going to tell me what you did or are you ready to playing this game.“
“..Please dont read into my actions too much..am just tired.“ You rolled your eyes
“I know tired Erik ...this is not tired Erik. Tired Erik drinks wine and cuddles with me in front of the fireplace and plays his Sza, Drake and Frank ocean playlist so... not this...“ You point at him ”...is not tired erik. Maybe Guilty Erik or Crusty Erik.”
He let out a sigh“....Let me go to the kitchen and I can grab something to eat.“ He put his Shirt back on and headed out the door.
“You lucky I love your E. Don't forget my Hot cheetos. Your tomfoolery just made me hungry.“
Tchala left you and headed to the downstairs kitchen. He needed to cool down. He was nervous and quite frankly he was horny as well. He needed ice cold water so he could calm down. At the moment his heart rate stated slowing down W’kabi walked in the kitchen with his robe on. Tchala prepaid himself for the W”kabi’s presence.
“Oh Erik What are doing here so late at night?“ He got a glass of water and drank it up.
“Erik?..me Yes am just getting some snakes for ....(Y/N)“ saying your name was a struggle. Given the context.
“Nice..well I should be going okoye is waiting. I hope you have a bliss evening Erik.“ He put the glassed down and patted Eriks shoulder as he walked by.
Tchalla was feeling a different energy from W’kabi he noticed how W’kabi was more carefree and at ease when speaking to him. It didn't go unnoticed how even the guards at the door room or th Dora were more friendlier to him or ‘erik’.
He did notice how people’s treatment to him changed when his Father died and he became king, he was to busy trying to stay sane with all the heartbreak he was facing.
Tchalla closed the cupboard and headed back. With so much running through his mind he made his was to his own room. He entered the code at the double doors and saw Latifa on the couch with a book. She looked beautiful. Her dreads tied up in a messy bun. Glowing skin and her nightgown and socks. She looked peaceful until she looked up saw him.
“Erik! Can I help you? “
I dont have a tag list ...Please tell me if you want to be on Part 2s tag list

Time will set us free: A Cherik fanfic
Dedicated to @the-charles-to-my-erik Chapter 13 Charles didn't sleep that well that night, he played with the ring on his finger as he tried to close his eyes. Nothing was more painful then losing Erik after all they have done but maybe this was the right decision. The bed was empty that night and the emptiness was somehow worst for Erik wasn't there for Charles had always feared that and so the loneliness would consume him, pulling him into the darkness and somehow this fear had come true and it sacred him. Charles had fallen asleep around midnight where the photo of him and Erik was still clenched in his arms. Erik slept with his head on the pillow in the dimly lit living room where his only comfort was the blanket to over his cold body. By five o'clock in the morning Erik still hasn't gotten any sleep and by six o'clock he stretched and yawned, he didn't bother freshening up but instead he took his bag and creeped inside the room he used to share with Charles and sat on the edge of the bed. Erik moved closer and as he did he gently stroked Charles' face and kissed him on the lips one last time. A last kiss to say goodbye. He walked away without saying another word. Erik didn't look back nor did he tried to shed a tear but he couldn't help himself for he didn't know where to go, who will he seek help to as he can't ask Raven but there is one that might help. "Hello Emma, sorry to bother you but could you pick me up" Chocked out Erik from his end of the phone. Emma Frost who had just woken up from her slumber had picked up her phone and muttered the answer. "Erik... Erik it's early. Aren't you.." Her muttering was cut short as Erik spoke through the phone. "I.. We are on a break... Just pick me up okay" "Alright" said Emma still sleepy but was happy to help a friend out. It wasn't long before Emma had driven to where Erik stood and parked right in front of him. Erik got in next to Emma and she drove away without any questions, as she drove away Emma yawned. "Sorry to bother you up so early... I just... I just need a break" said Erik his face not looking at Emma's trying to avoid eye contact. Emma notices but didn't ask until they it to her place as as she parked they got out and Emma helped with his bag. "Thank you" said Erik weakly as he took a seat by the fire place, he watched the fire dance as they moved where they stood. He watched it hard as thought of all those days in the winter where he and Charles sleep by their fireplace, hot chocolates in there hands warmed by the blanket over them. Emma sat down on the opposite direction of Erik as she handed him his cup of coffee. Erik took it politely as he took a sip of the warm drink in his hands. They say there in silence with the only sound was the sipping of coffee, the silence was only broken when Emma had to ask an important question, a question that consisted of the word 'why'. "Why did you leave?" She asked trying her hardest to not make the situation more intense, she didn't want to make Erik feel uncomfortable. "Um... It's complicated, me and Charles had and... It's nothing" said Erik sipping his coffee. Emma struggled this off as what some couples did and carried on sipping her own coffee but the concern for her friend was more then just relationship problems. She got up and sat next to Erik placing her cup down on the glass table. "What's wrong? And don't lie to me I'm telepathic also you know" she said tapping her temple with her finger. Erik nodded but it was weak and barely full of energy that Emma knew something was bothering him. "What's wrong? Just tell me" said Emma trying to stay as calm as possible. Erik took a deep breath before answering Emma. "Charles found out" "Found out what?" "Found out that I owe Shaw over 10,000 million dollars" said Erik as he leaned his head back, his eyes facing the patterned ceiling above him. Emma was still in shock unable to produce words in order to make out sentences from her mouth. "10,000 million dollars! Are you crazy?" Said Emma her calm state vanishing a little. Erik groaned in despair at her reaction as he knew this would happened, something inside of him knew that already and it pain him hard. ~ Three Years ago Erik sat at his desk ready to home home from a long day from work. He packed his things and as he got ready to go home he stopped and looked at a photo of him and Charles on the desk. He smiled and picked up the photo frame into his hands as he tried to imagine him back home with his Charles, he boyfriend to go back to bed as dream sweetly that night. "Wait for me, I'm coming home" he said as he replaced the photo back into his desk smiled wider this time. The night fell quickly and Erik just wanted to go home until the door to his office opened and there entered Sebastian Shaw. "What do you want Shaw?" Erik said firmly as he stood still, rooted to the ground unable to move but his jaws clenched. Sebastian Shaw was lean and taller than Erik, he walked with heavy strides as he an his fellow companions. "Oh Erik, you have nothing to fear" he smirked moving forward now circuitry around Erik. The room was silence again and only the found sound was the small footsteps made what Erik could tell we're coming from Azazel and Janos. They stood by leaning against one of the walls of the room as Shaw stood in front of Erik. "I'm not afraid of you" snarled Erik as he straightened up his eyes meeting Shaw's. "Let me explain Lehnsherr, you have no control over me so here's the deal you hand over your company to me and we'll never meet our paths again" said Shaw his hand clasping onto Erik's shoulders. Erik shuffled out of his grasp and grunted at the slight pain from Shaw's hand. "I said before and the day before that the answer is no" said Erik with more force trying to make sure he was the bigger man out of the two of them. Shaw just laughed, his cold laugh sending Erik's spin to freeze at the touch. By this point Erik just wanted to go home, back to Charles; they shared an apartment they rented in the first day they graduated college. Erik's business was slow and not going anywhere and he hadn't had much money to support Charles not when he needed him the most. "No matter how much money or deals you make I'll never agree" said Erik as he tried to push pass Sebastian but he was pushed back. "Oh, Lehnsherr you never learn do you. I know you need my help and you will accept unless you want your precious Charles to get hurt, we won't want that now do we Lehnsherr" said Shaw still as sinister as their college years. Erik wanted to lash out at Shaw but he was only thinking of Charles. He can't let Shaw use his Charles against him not like this for he will protect Charles no matter what. "No" Shaw's smile dropped and was replaced with a straight line. He's brows forming a frown. "What did you say?" He voice smooth an collected, his cold eyes penetrating Erik's body, hitting his heart and crashing it. "I said no" repeated Erik his hands turning into fist, his nails digging into his palms of his hands. Shaw stepped even closer and waved over to Azazel and Janos as they joined Shaw by his side, they stopped and they too looked at Erik with the same expression as Shaw. Shaw took Erik to the scruff of his jacket collar so they were faced to face. "Listen, you will never speak to me like that. Listen you are not in charge here not when I'm in charge" he snapped as he pushed Erik down to the ground sending him and his bag to land on the floor and this is were Shaw smiled and with a nod of his head Azazel and Janos pulled Erik off his feet gripping at his arms making sure that Erik won't escape. Shaw walked over his desk and took the photographs from the table, he stared the it for awhile and chuckled. "How adorable, you do make a good couple" he said still holding on to the photo frame. Erik struggled at the grasps of Shaw's companions as he wanted to fight Shaw there and then. "Leave that alone!" Screamed Erik but his voice was shorted as Janos threw a punch to Erik's stomach. Erik's groaned in pain. Shaw laughed and smiled at Erik's suffering. "You are so pathetic aren't you but you know if you don't accept my favour then consider your relationship let's just say...ruined" Shaw said as he threw the photo frame across the room and with such force the frame shattered on impact. Erik screamed, tears streaming down his face and the pain from his stomach was still hurting but he couldn't hold back the tears. "Please...p...please, don't" cried Erik his body trying to break free but all was made useless. Shaw just smiled walking over to where the photo laid with the broken pieces of the frame. He picked it up and held it in his hand, the photo of Charles and Erik were still intact and as though nothing happened he strolled back to where Erik still was being held and made sure he face Erik once last time. "This... This is your last chance to make our deal. You can give your company over to me or watch your life burn before you" he said as he held the photo in his hand in front of Erik. By this point he had no choice but to nod in agreement as the tears slowly rolled down his face. Shaw smile again and order Azazel and Janos to let him go and so they do. "Please... Please give it back to me" he muttered the pain still aching him but Shaw wasn't having it. "Thank you for doing business with you, I'll send you your first 100 dollar check tomorrow. Treat your Charles something special." He said. "and who said I was giving this back" and with his usual sinful smile he ripped the photo in pieces into the bin setting it a light. Erik wanted to scream harder then he had ever been able to do before but his throat was beginning to hurt. The pain was a burden to Erik but an an entertainment for Shaw and his companions, the stood and laughed at Erik's pain. "Thank you Erik for your service" Shaw said and off they went leaving Erik alone and almost bleeding from his wounds as he watched the flames burn, burning the memories of what was apart of him. He loves Charles and he did this for him even if it caused him his own life. ~ Emma couldn't believe what Erik had told her. "He blackmailed you and used Charles to threaten you to take over tor business" repeated Emma as she rested a caring hand on his shoulders. "Yeah, now he's got what he wanted... I don't know what to do Emma" said Erik before the tears started to drown his words. Emma pulled Erik into a hug comforting him in his most vulnerable time. Erik smiled a little before lifting his head and at once he noticed a photo on her mantle piece. The photo was of her and... "Is that Shaw?" He asks getting up whipping the tears from his eyes. "Yes... I know that was years ago before he became a jerk" Emma said getting up to join him by he's side. "He was a family friend and so our parents wanted to meet so yeah.." Erik moved an inch closer before he began to turn his hands into a fist and had storm off towards the door. "Where are you going?" Said Emma. "Going back, back to Charles, he needs me and I won't let Shaw get to him" "But you live all the way down town" "I know but if I run now I can make it" said Erik and he was gone out of the door without even saying goodbye. Emma ran out of the door after him as she saw Erik already going back down the street, she smiled shaking her head. Erik ran and ran until he was out of breath. He wanted Charles by his side and to never leave him for he do love Charles and wanted to explain everything. Charles was his life and death for it was only Harley's who understood him. Without Charles who would be there to see the good in him. He ran and ran until he was out of breath thinking of nothing else but Charles. "Until death do us part"

What Occurs If You Fail A History Look For A Gun?
His wife, Debi Reed, selected him to the hearing and said in an interview that she had actually been shocked at how easily his civil liberties were brought back. " We were having problems with courts that weren't going to bring back civil liberties regardless of what," he stated. Although it attracted little notice at the time, the regulations additionally consisted of a growth of what had actually been really restricted eligibility for restoration of weapons civil liberties. He relinquished his tools to buddies however at some point got them back, sometimes hiding them in an old car in his backyard, according to good friends. At some time afterwards, though, he became worried that the cops could follow him once more as well as turned over the weapons-- two lengthy guns as well as a Glock pistol-- to a friend, Tom Williams. Not long after the court's ruling, Mr. Hairston acquired a hidden tools permit from a surrounding area and bought a 9-millimeter semiautomatic hand gun. florida criminal background checks -- whether the remediations pose a danger to public safety and security-- has gotten little research, partly since information can be hard to find by. " If it's a constitutional right, you treat it with equal dignity with various other legal rights," he stated. " If he hadn't had his civil liberties brought back, in this particular instance, it most likely would have conserved the life of the other individual," claimed Denis Tracy, the prosecutor in Whitman Region, that managed the murder situation. After a short fight, Mr. Zettergren fired him in the holy place at point-blank array with a Glock-17 semiautomatic hand gun. The Dark Side of the Global Tea Industry
https://healthandfitnessrecipes.com/?p=8373
By Dr. Mercola
Aside from pure water, drinking high quality tea can be a healthy beverage option. Many teas contain polyphenol antioxidants recognized for their disease prevention and antiaging properties. For example, research1,2 has shown long-term tea intake can improve your blood pressure.
One systematic review of 25 randomized controlled trials found those who regularly drank either green or black tea for 12 weeks had an average of 2.6 mm Hg lower systolic blood pressure and 2.2 mm Hg lower diastolic pressure compared to those who did not drink tea.
Green tea provided the best results, followed by black tea. According to the authors, this reduction "would be expected to reduce stroke risk by 8 percent, coronary artery disease mortality by 5 percent and all-cause mortality by 4 percent at a population level…" Just how much tea would you need to drink to get these kinds of benefits?
Research suggests an ideal amount is around three to four cups of tea per day.3 For example, one 2007 study4 found "clear evidence" showing that three or more cups of tea — in this case black tea — reduced the risk of heart disease.
But for all their health boons, tea has its dark sides. Erik Hane's 2018 DW documentary "Bitter Cup: The Dark Side of the Tea Trade," investigates some of the lesser-known facets of India's tea industry, which is typically staffed by underpaid workers forced to live under dismal conditions.
Few are also aware of the health ramifications these workers face, as they're frequently exposed to toxic pesticides — or that most teas, including the most prized, are contaminated with these chemicals. Quality certification also has its problems, and is no guarantee that workers are paid and treated fairly.
Darjeeling — The Champagne of Tea
"What is the true cost of tea?" the film asks, "And are Indian workers the ones paying the price?" In Germany, tea appreciation is on the rise. Tea taster Henning Schmidt holds weekly lectures, teaching people about the finer aspects of tea drinking. Whereas bagged tea used to be the norm, more and more people now want a more refined experience with their tea, and are moving toward loose teas.
"Aficionados brew tea according to a very strict ritual," Hane says — techniques that help bring out the flavor and aroma of the tea. Along with this new appreciation for tea comes a willingness to pay more for high-quality tea leaves. According to Schmidt, high-quality tea costs between 20 euros and 30 euros ($23 to $35) per 100 grams. The most expensive tea available can go as high as 60 euros ($70) for 100 grams.
One of the most prized teas in the world — often referred to as "the Champagne of tea" — grows in Darjeeling in Northern India. The tea is grown high in the Himalayan mountains, and many believe it's this unique growing location that makes Darjeeling tea so special. Because of the intense sun exposure, the leaves grow slower than in lower regions, and this slower growth rate is thought to be part of the formula that gives the tea its distinctive flavor.
It's steep price tag is also due to the fact that everything has to be done by hand. The steep hillsides cannot accommodate machinery, and the physical labor that goes into every facet of the tea's production adds to the final price. That, at least, is the justification offered by vendors in the West. In reality, locals in Darjeeling do not appear to be profiting from the region's tea production. In Darjeeling City, poverty and unemployment rates are high, and migrant workers live in the slums, located in the city center.
Darjeeling Tea Pickers Fight for Living Wage
Hane interviews Suraj Subba, the leader of the local tea trade union. According to Subba, Darjeeling tea pickers get paid just 1.70 euros ($1.98) per day. The union is pushing for a living wage, which would be at least twice as much. From this meagre income, workers must pay for housing, food, clothing, school fees and educational material for their children, health care and everything else a person might need for daily living.
Picking tea is backbreaking work. Seven o'clock each morning, the workers start picking tea leaves by hand, baskets suspended from their forehead across their backs to keep both hands free. A local tea picker comments, "Picking tea might not be a very complicated job, but it's extremely tiring."
To earn their daily wage, the workers must also reach the daily quota, which can range from 8 to 20 kilos (17.6 to 44 pounds) depending on the time of the season. Here in the mountains, there are no other jobs, so there's no competition for workers. Moreover, in order to have the privilege of paying to live on the plantation, you have to work there.
The highest quality teas are whole leaf, which have the best flavor and strongest aroma, followed by broken leaf. Bagged teas typically contain the lowest grade tea. Fraud exists in the tea trade as in most others, and large quantities of tea are fraudulently sold as Darjeeling each year. This only adds to the problems facing those trying to make a living in Darjeeling, as it affects both the price and reputation of their tea.
Can You Trust Quality Seals?
There are a number of different certifications meant to assure consumers that fair trade and environmentally friendly practices are observed, including:
Fairtrade certification, which stands for fair wages and good working conditions
Rainforest Alliance, aimed at conserving biodiversity and providing "sustainable livelihoods"
UTZ certification, which stands for sustainable farming practices and better working conditions
The question is, do these seals deliver on their promises? In Assam, India's largest tea growing area, Hane visits the Tonganagaon plantation certified by all three of these organizations. As noted in the film, the higher prices consumers pay for products carrying these quality seals should translate into higher pay and better working conditions for the workers. The reality, however, does not match such expectations.
On the Tonganagaon plantation, the pickers with the highest yields in a year receive a bicycle. Of the 1,286 workers, 11 had received bicycles. The others receive nothing over and above their daily pay and a tin for holding rice. Each family is allotted a portion of rice, as they do not receive a living wage. A typical dinner is plain rice, boiled with plenty of salt and washed down with tea. The workers live in fragile huts made of bamboo and mud, and drink unpurified water from wells they themselves dug by hand.
There's no sewage system; they must use dugout latrine pits when they go to the bathroom — a situation that breeds mosquitoes and promotes malaria. These open latrines also contaminate the ground water. And yet, the tea estate is by law responsible for providing and meeting basic needs such as housing, potable water and toilets. When workers try to file a complaint with the manager, "they make us wait all day long, then say the manager doesn't have time to see us," one of the workers says.
UTZ Suspends Tonganagaon Tea Estate's Certification
As you'd expect, children are hardest hit by the poverty, malnutrition and unsanitary living conditions on these tea estates. Professor Anup Kumar Das with the Assam Medical College and Hospital treats tea workers, noting child malnutrition and mortality are very high in this area. Unsafe drinking water and lack of sanitation are primary causes of illness leading to death.
This is not the reality promised by Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and UTZ, the seals of which are supposed to ensure a living wage, social justice and humane working conditions. "How can this be?" Hane asks. In a written statement, Fairtrade replied: "Without a doubt, we are repeatedly confronted by massive problems in Assam.
But pulling out of the tea sector in Assam would only make the situation on the ground even more difficult …" Later, after the release of the film, Fairtrade withdrew its seal of approval for the Tonganagaon estate.
Rainforest Alliance responded to Hane's inquiry saying, "Insofar as they are confirmed by our own auditors, some of the grievances you depict will lead to the decertification of the plantations in question." UTZ was the only organization that took immediate action. It issued the following statement:
"Our staff in India have inspected the situation at the Tonganagaon tea estate and submitted their evaluation … As conditions there evidently remain inadequate and require further investigation, we have no option but to suspend the certification of the Tonganagaon tea estate with immediate effect."
Workers Exposed to Dangerous Pesticides
As it turns out, most tea plantations view these quality and social justice seals as little more than marketing tools, as many buyers will only purchase tea from estates with one or more of these certifications. As noted by Hane, "That's an approach that does the tea workers little good." Indeed, the plight of tea workers is not restricted to Tonganagaon. The situation is the same on most if not all quality certified tea estates in Assam.
Yet another plight of tea workers is having to apply toxic pesticides without even the most basic of protective gear. Acute poisoning and long-term health effects, including generational effects, are consequences these workers must face, whilst living in inhumane poverty. Consumers may also face health risks.
Testing of tea leaves taken directly from plantations in Assam and teas sold in German grocery stores, reveal the presence of pesticides in all samples — including some that aren't licensed for use in Germany. They even found a pesticide banned in tea farming in India. Whole tea from a plantation certified by Rainforest Alliance also had eight times the German legal limit of a particular pesticide. A take-home message here is that price and quality seals do not equate to a tea being pesticide-free.
"Pesticide residues in all tested samples, and the at-best dubious benefit of quality seals, the global tea trade has many losers, including European consumers, but no one has been left more vulnerable by its success than tea workers toiling in the estates of Darjeeling and Assam," Hane says in closing.
Matcha Tea and Tulsi — Two Superior Tea Choices
While Darjeeling may be the most popular, Matcha green tea from Japan may be a better choice if you're drinking tea for its health benefits and are concerned about pesticide residues. Matcha green tea has a wonderful flavor and superior nutrient content, as it has not been damaged through processing.
The best Matcha comes from Japan and is steamed rather than roasted or pan-fried. As a result, it retains all the nutrient-rich value possible from the tea leaf. As an added boon, the chlorophyll in Matcha acts as a natural detoxifier.
The whole tea leaves are ground into a fine powder, which you stir directly into hot water, resulting in a bright green beverage. A cold version option that is perfect for summer is Matcha lemonade. Simply dissolve the powder in hot water; chill, then add lemon or lime juice. A small amount of stevia can be added for sweetness. Serve with ice. The vitamin C from the citrus juice increases the benefits of green tea, as the ascorbic acid boosts the amount of catechins available for your body to absorb more than fivefold.5
Another delicious, healthy option is Indian Tulsi tea, which contains hundreds of beneficial phytochemicals. Working together, these compounds possess potential antioxidant, adaptogenic and immune-enhancing properties that can fight stress and help promote your general health in multiple ways, including:
Bolstering your immune system
Providing you with a calming effect and relief from occasional stress
Promoting healthy metabolism
Helping maintain optimal blood sugar levels
Different Types of Tea May Offer Different Benefits
Naturally, tea connoisseurs will want to experiment with a variety of teas. Just pay close attention to their sourcing, and remember quality seals don't always deliver on their promises to protect workers. Black and green tea (as well as oolong, dark and white teas) come from the same plant, an evergreen called Camellia sinensis. It is the processing method and degree of oxidization (exposure to oxygen) that create the different tea types.
While black tea is oxidized, green tea is not oxidized at all after the leaves are harvested. This minimal oxidation may help to keep the beneficial antioxidants in green tea intact, although both green and black teas have beneficial effects. Generally speaking, the less the tea is oxidized, the lower its caffeine content and higher its antioxidants. White tea is actually the least processed of all teas, while oolong is semi-oxidized, placing it between green and black teas in terms of caffeine and antioxidant levels.
There are also herbal teas, which vary quite dramatically in flavor and health effects (herbal teas are actually not considered "true" teas, as they do not come from Camellia sinensis, but they can be beneficial and enjoyable nonetheless). What types of benefits do different types of tea offer?
Green and black tea for your gut: Both green and black tea may alter gut microbes in a way that's beneficial for preventing weight gain and obesity.6
Oolong tea for weight management and heart health: The polyphenols in oolong tea help control fat metabolism in your body by activating certain enzymes. A 2001 study7 published in the Journal of Nutrition found that participants who drank either full-strength or diluted oolong tea burned 2.9 to 3.4 percent more total calories daily.
Hibiscus tea for overall health: High in vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants, studies suggest hibiscus tea may improve blood pressure, help prevent metabolic syndrome, protect your liver and even provide anticancer effects.8
Matcha for an antioxidant boost: Studies9 indicate 1 cup of Matcha may provide the antioxidant equivalent of 3 cups of regular green tea and as much as 137 times more antioxidants than low-grade green tea.

There are a number of different certifications meant to assure consumers that fair trade and environmentally friendly practices are observed, including: Fairtrade certification, which stands for fair wages and good working conditions Rainforest Alliance, aimed at conserving biodiversity and providing "sustainable livelihoods" UTZ certification, which stands for sustainable farming practices and better working conditions The question is, do these seals deliver on their promises? UTZ Suspends Tonganagaon Tea Estate's Certification As you'd expect, children are hardest hit by the poverty, malnutrition and unsanitary living conditions on these tea estates. It issued the following statement: "Our staff in India have inspected the situation at the Tonganagaon tea estate and submitted their evaluation … As conditions there evidently remain inadequate and require further investigation, we have no option but to suspend the certification of the Tonganagaon tea estate with immediate effect." Workers Exposed to Dangerous Pesticides As it turns out, most tea plantations view these quality and social justice seals as little more than marketing tools, as many buyers will only purchase tea from estates with one or more of these certifications. Matcha Tea and Tulsi — Two Superior Tea Choices While Darjeeling may be the most popular, Matcha green tea from Japan may be a better choice if you're drinking tea for its health benefits and are concerned about pesticide residues. The vitamin C from the citrus juice increases the benefits of green tea, as the ascorbic acid boosts the amount of catechins available for your body to absorb more than fivefold.5 Another delicious, healthy option is Indian Tulsi tea, which contains hundreds of beneficial phytochemicals. Working together, these compounds possess potential antioxidant, adaptogenic and immune-enhancing properties that can fight stress and help promote your general health in multiple ways, including: Bolstering your immune system Providing you with a calming effect and relief from occasional stress Promoting healthy metabolism Helping maintain optimal blood sugar levels Different Types of Tea May Offer Different Benefits Naturally, tea connoisseurs will want to experiment with a variety of teas. Green and black tea for your gut: Both green and black tea may alter gut microbes in a way that's beneficial for preventing weight gain and obesity.6 Oolong tea for weight management and heart health: The polyphenols in oolong tea help control fat metabolism in your body by activating certain enzymes. A 2001 study7 published in the Journal of Nutrition found that participants who drank either full-strength or diluted oolong tea burned 2.9 to 3.4 percent more total calories daily. Hibiscus tea for overall health: High in vitamin C, minerals and antioxidants, studies suggest hibiscus tea may improve blood pressure, help prevent metabolic syndrome, protect your liver and even provide anticancer effects.8 Matcha for an antioxidant boost: Studies9 indicate 1 cup of Matcha may provide the antioxidant equivalent of 3 cups of regular green tea and as much as 137 times more antioxidants than low-grade green tea.

60 Things You'll Never See in the Vamp Canon.
60 Things You'll Never See in the Vamp Canon.
Background: Just random ideas I came up with at 2 o'clock in the morning. As always, if you like these ideas, feel quite free to use them. I'm kind of afraid to. Not all of the same quality. I was half asleep as I wrote them.
Warnings: Weird stuff and some implied violence, pain and slash.
