Something about Brasso being the kindness in this series. Warm, trustworthy, friendly, compassionate. He’s who Cassian goes to when he needs a cover, and he’s on the same page without question. He’s who takes care of Maarva the best he can while she’s still alive. He tells Bix to run the moment the Imperials are after her, no question or hesitation as he steps between her and the Imps. He’s patient with Bee when Maarva passes, encourages the old droid to help the Daughters, stays in the house with Bee when he’s asked. The first thing he does when he sees Cassian again is hug him, long and hard. He delivers Maarva’s final words, how Cassian is loved more than any wrong he could ever do. He walks Maarva’s brick down Rix road, he’s the first to start swinging at the Imps, and he drops the fight to rescue the poor kid (who’s name I can’t remember).

Something about him being the kindness in the series in the face of adversity. Loyal and compassionate. Something about how his role is crucial in this rebellion. And something about how, most importantly, he survives.

I FUCKING DID SOMETHING FOR ONCE LET'S GO!!!

ok so i was listening to this song like a week ago and i saw this animation clear as day in my mind and i knew i had to try and storyboard it out while i was thinking of it. i wanna do the full song at some point because it is So Very Them-coded but i do not have the time rn and will not for a while (i barely had the time to make this) so for now i just made sure i got the really complicated part out of the way. figured i'd post it because. why not lol

anyway. this is for my Darkest Desire AU story!! it's called Glitching Fates!! i am so normal about it and i have been for years now. it is. so far removed from the source material but i do not care it is very special to me :]

as a sort of summary for what's going on here, the night guard and Will used to be really good friends but they both ended up getting busy with their own lives so they couldn't interact as much, and then the whole Glitchtrap possession thing happens which reunites them but also drives a wedge between them since Will is blindly following Glitchtrap while the night guard is trying to find a way to stop Glitchtrap.

i am so not fucking normal about these characters you all have no idea. oh my god. they have permanent residence in my mind rn. i need people to ask me about them or else I Will Become Violent (/j)

one thing about this story is that im struggling to find the edge of how deeply fucked up a character can be before a reader starts to hate them

#the male lead is like….. DESPERATE for people to need him #his whole m.o. is to give people their deepest darkest desire #which he can do because he’s like rich and famous so he has the resources to do so #but that means he ends up enabling a bunch of really awful stuff #and doing things that are… morally dubious (at best)#right now one of his establishing chapters is about him meeting a woman at the airport on his way to where the book takes place #and she tells him about how /shes/ on her way to move in with her fiancé but she’s getting cold feet becuase she feels like she’s wasting #her life. so he’s like… well what would you be doing otherwise? let’s do it now. and she tells him that she’s always wanted to go swimming #even though she’s never done it before. she has a feeling that once she gets in the water she’ll just /know/. so they go to a hotel and #they go to the pool (it’s night so no one is there) and the woman hesitates at the deep end becuase thinking about it and being faced with #reality are two different things. and he. pushes her in. and he saves her but first he shoves her in #because that’s what she WANTED from him and he HAS to give people what they want otherwise who will care about him who will want him?#ahshdjdjdjkd he’s like….. very deeply fucked up #boat book

my cat kiwi has cancer 😔 she has a surgery lined up to remove the mass but even after that she's really just going to enter a phase of palliative care until her health starts to deteriorate. she's almost 16 years old but she still seems like a kitten to me

#she's like my child she's been here for me in my darkest times and she is sooo affectionate towards me #she sleeps on top of me almost every night and whenever i leave she's so exited for me to come home #she still seems so youthful and it's hard for me to even process but i've been breaking down every time i think about it too much #she's been through so much with her health but she's been so strong #as i was typing this she was purring and tapping my arm for me to pet her #i love her so much

obviously i’m bitter that the english musical is the best-known version of the musical for a lot of reasons but i will never stop mourning the original concept album’s l’air de la misère and la lumière. the parallels!!! the actual use of the world misère and in an incredibly relevant context!!! we could have gotten “la misère n’est mère de personne”//“la lumière est dans les cœur des hommes” but instead we’re stuck with “even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise”
