happy 2nd birthday to my silly little blog that was only supposed to exist for eight weeks and that i didn't think i ought to tell many people about since i was only going to be here for a short time...i am so unbelievably lucky and grateful that we got a bit of a reprieve and that time was extended for a while. i never expected to build a following or community here like i did before, especially since this blog initially came from such a broken place, but somehow it happened anyway (or, to borrow a phrase, something different bloomed, writing in my room). some of you have been through a lot of emotions and shifts with me, whether we've known each other for a decade+ or across these two years or more recently, and yet through fixations and passions and varying favorite characters and sadness and joy, the looming fears and stresses in real life or the pure excitement of stories and music, if you've chosen to stay, i'm always thankful and happy you're here, and i love you and am glad you are part of this wide world with me. 💖

Do you know Isabel Allende? Chilean writer, acclaimed novelist, has had several novels adapted to cinema and TV, highly recommend... and also all of her novels (or at least all I've read) have one character that is BLATANTLY a self-insert. There is always one badass lady with short hair and a sharp tongue, and the archetype's age almost always corresponds to the age she was when she wrote the novel. She even was commissioned a story about Zorro and she gave him a badass secret sidekick who was a girl called Isabel!

guys ive been trying to get into birds lately. bc I wanna learn what the common birds I see outside in the yard are right. i even checked out 2 books from the library abt them (even tho google has so far been the best resource sdhkfjkh im TRYING) and GUESS WHAT. I went outside to sit and watch them and instead of JUST BIRDS i saw two lil chipmunks AND. a BNUNY!!! (i've been seeing this bunny for a While when ive been walking my dog, but I always have seen it at night and could never get a decent picture before now)
