The Opera Ghost

Because the Fate series left me severely disappointed, I made up lore for a Phantom of the Opera servant who I could say would be a boon to any Master's lineup.

Name: The Opera Ghost

Rarity: Five Stars, due to his relative elusive nature in the novel and other adaptations, it is extremely difficult to summon this version of the Phantom of the Opera.

Aliases: Erik, Angel of Music, The Red Death, The Phantom of the Opera

Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral

Class: Assassin-class

Appearance: Attire typical of a mid-Victorian gentleman; dark cloak, wears a dark wig with a black domino mask that covers most of his face save for his mouth. Where a sword would traditionally be, his punjab lasso is for easy access. Strengths: A master of trap doors and secret passages, he will rarely have to appear and directly kill those unlucky enough to run afoul of him. He's cunning, manipulative, and tactical; using his brilliant genius in order to get people to do his bidding. He is not above using bribery, threats, or even occasional torture if needed. He is also brilliant with a rapier; should the need arise, there is a possibility that he could be summoned as a saber-class servant, but it is generally admitted that the assassin class is better suited for his strengths.

Weaknesses: He can be blinded by possession; almost suffocating in his desire for human contact. Having been denied the basic comfort and warmth of a mother's care in childhood, he now seeks it where he can. Those who summon him must also contend with his jealous outbursts. On occasion, he will slip up and call his master, no matter the gender, the "reincarnation of his beloved Christine" or even outright call them by the name of the beautiful soprano. Assassin-Class Abilities: Unlike most servants (exception being an archer-class servant), assassins are capable of going long distances away from their masters; this is a huge advantage among the class because they are able to sneak around and get away with a lot without putting their master in harm's way.

His other, specific skills include...:

Serenade of the Damned: A song that is as horrifying as it mesmerizing, and any opponents who hear it find themselves frozen with fear. They are paralyzed for one round, or an hour or more, depending on how close they were. Guidance from the Angel of Music: A skill that works only when the phantom is at the end of a lineup; if he is at the very end of a specific lineup, then all allies receive the following benefits: buffs for stamina, attack, defense, and their noble phantasm's success rate increases, plus they receive a debuff resist of about 40% for up to five rounds. However, any allies who might be behind the phantom of the opera are cursed instead of receiving the boon, which diminishes their health slightly every round. This is due to his face and deformities.

The Lonely Wail of the Devil's Child: More effective the less health the opera ghost has, this wail is worse than Serenade of the Damned because this wail will instantly stun all opponents and temporarily seal their noble phantasms. This is incredibly useful against powerful bosses.

Noble Phantasm: The Opera Ghost and His Magical Lasso

Buster, Quick, or Arts: Arts

Description: Using his environment to his advantage, the Opera Ghost sneaks around, weaving in and out of his opponent's view. When they least expect it, he drops his garrotte-his magical lassso-around their throat and tightens. Any non-servants are decapitated, and any divine beings or servants experience discomfort and about a 30% chance of experiencing instant death. The noble phantasm also increases the Opera Ghost's influence over the entire enemy party and those who weren't targeted by the attack are stunned for two turns and are unable to use noble phantasms or skills.

The Achaean Empire

An ancient civilization that makes a conglomerate of solar systems in a faraway galaxy. They're said to be among the first civilizations of the universe as we know it, and has persisted despite the passing of time and war with other empires of the same galaxy. Among the solar systems that make the empire, stand out: Athína, Spárti, Kórinthos, Thíva, Ródos, Árgos and Siracusa.

Technology-advanced and strict, the Achaean empire has ruled itself for eons of years with the Four Cardinal Virtues: Prudence/Wisdom, Fortitude/Courage, Justice, and Temperance/Moderation. All Achaean citizens should aspire to display these virtues in the public eye, just like in their private life. Various forms of art and war, philosophy, government, science and medicine that are widespread across the universe are part of the Achaean legacy. With such a remarkable past, nothing less than excellence is to be expected from its citizens.

Theos Klironomia

Also known as the 'legacy of the gods', the Klironomia are nanomachines made of Orichalcum (a refined combination of rare metals only found on a hidden water planet: Atlantis) used to greatly enhance or restore the strength and performance of an individual.

The Klironomia plays a prominent role in the life of every Achaean citizen as it is given immediately after birth, even before the newborns are given to their mother to held for the first time. The nanomachines are the greatest difference between the Achaean citizens and individuals from other solar systems and galaxies. If anyone that isn't of Achaean descent tried to use the Klironomia for themselves, their internal organs would liquify and shut down. To be able to withstand the powerful effects of the Klironomia, the empire's citizens have been adapting and developing resistance to the negative effects for countless thousands of years. There are various imitations of the Klironomia all over the universe, but none of them are made of Orichalcum.

Even though all Achaean citizens have been blessed with the Theos Klironomia, its effects aren't the same on everyone, as some more are far more apt than others. How suited one is to the blessing of the nanomachines depends on the individual and how suited were their ancestors.

Twelve Machine Gods

Aside from the standard Theos Klironomia, specific variations exist for each of the Twelve Machine Gods, the revered founders of the Achaean Empire, with their own unique characteristics:

Zeus Klironomia: Increases all abilities of the user.

Hera Klironomia: Grants protection to the user in the form of an unbreakable shield or armor.

Poseidon Klironomia: Provides sea-related abilities to user. Used mostly by workers in charge of the mining of the Orichalcum.

Hades Klironomia: Grants pseudo-immortality to the user.

Demeter Klironomia: Provides enhanced regenerative capabilities.

Apollo Klironomia: Grants clairvoyance to the user.

Artemis Klironomia: A long-distance weapon of any shape, capable of throwing a projectile that can cut down even diamonds and return to the user.

Ares Klironomia: Increases physical strength and attack, reducing all damage by a certain percent.

Athena Klironomia: Increases all combat abilities and enhances the user's skills.

Hephaestus Klironomia: A short-distance weapon that can take any shape, known for cutting even diamonds.

Aphrodite Klironomia: Grants an enhanced power of persuasion to the user. Used mostly by generals, diplomats and politicians.

Hermes Klironomia: Vehicles known for their speed and hardness, from a bike to combat-ship, and are surprisingly light.

Dionysus Klironomia: A new type of nanomachines meant to replace the Hestia Klironomia. Still in development.

Final Notes

Just like the Theos Klironomia, the 12 (11 available) variations are injected on the body, which is what allows the user to freely materialize, modify, change shape, etc. of the nanomachines. Even if they take the shape of a shield, a weapon or a vehicle, the nanomachines are part of the individual.

The Klironomia variations aren't given as freely as the Theos Klironomia. Only those who have proved themselves worthy and have a good suitability to the nanomachines are granted the variations.

It still is impossible for an individual to have all Klironomia variations due to the limitations of the human body. It might take dozens of thousands of years for it to happen. The most an Achaean citizen (Heracles) has been registered to have is 7.

Likewise, some variations cannot be given if the citizen already has others, as the combination would have a deathly effect on the user: Hephaestus & Artemis. Athena & Ares. Aphrodite & Apollo. Hades & Demeter.

Hermes Klironomia is one of the most difficult to absorb and takes a toll on the body because of its higher concentration of nanomachines.

Guy who was the one who said ideally if Iori yadayada, I get what you mean. Just was throwing out an idea on 3 hours of sleep. Hypothetically, if Nasu himself came to your house, and said you have to give an explanation for how Iori is a Servant (or living person, whatev) in FGO, how would you go about it?

I wouldn't.

Like I said before, you need a sufficiently cool reason to be able to forgive completely ignoring or even retconning the original themes of a work, and no matter what Iori would appear in FGO for the sake of fanservice, and I don't find FGO's brand of fanservice to be cool at all. The very act of making him a summonable character would be stepping on his original arc, which I could probably forgive if it was for something other than FGO—a fighting game, a pseudo-sequel like CCC, I may even forgive FGO Arcade (if he has to be there for fanservice, let it be on the version of FGO with actual gameplay), but not the mobile game.

Let me give an example to illustrate my point.

One of the last servants I raised before I stopped playing FGO was my NP5 Fujino. At the time, I joked "Man it's kinda fucked up that the animations imply they gave her back her appendicitis when she became a Counter Guardian" but they really did, because it's the most obviously recognizable part of the character that can be repackaged. Never mind that Shiki choosing to save Fujino when the former was actually hired to kill the latter by Fujino's own dad was a critical part of both their character arcs. Never mind that the reason Fujino would actually be remembered as heroic is for when she would talk girls out of suicide long after she had gone blind and had learned to walk with a stick.

Fujino's noble phantasm is twisting a bridge because that was her big moment of power in Remaining Sense of Pain, even if it's kind of weird that she now (metaphorically, as I don't suppose her NP involves creating a real one) summons a bridge to twist and collapse on to enemies when they could just show a big psychic blast. It's especially a missed opportunity that FGO portrays the bridge moment as the height of her power when the whole reveal that Shiki actually saved Fujino instead of killing her is done by Shiki explaining that Fujino's only going to get even stronger as she ages. She can be way more destructive than collapsing a bridge, she just never had to when her real strength was being able to reach out to girls looking to jump off a bridge.

I think an easier one that more Fate fans can understand is Lancelot (Berserker). His NP in FGO is the chaingun he ripped out of a fighter jet in Fate/Zero, his most famous moment in the series. But his NP wasn't summoning a minigun, his NP in Fate/Zero was being able to instantly master any weaponry put into his hands. He could grab Gilgamesh's projectiles and throw them back at him. He could use modern day weaponry like automatic guns that the other servants couldn't, and he could use them with deadly efficiency.

But again when you appear in FGO it's not about the character, it's about the character's selling points. Lancelot's NP is hijacking a jetplane even if there can be no jetplane that's actually present because it's THE Lancelot moment, and FGO is a mobage with very limited game design that's unable to actually interpret Lancelot's powers within the game's scope, so a metaphorical jet hijacking is the best they can do.

But then FGO's all-encompassing popularity has knock-on effects, so when Lancelot appears in another Fate title, like Fate/Extella Link, his moves there involve him whipping out the assault rifles and the jet plane too. It's not metaphorical anymore, he's just summoning these whenever he wants to now. And while a dark knight dual wielding assault rifles like he's in a Wolfenstein game is admittedly kinda rad, I still think it's not quite rad enough to be worth having left his original concept behind.

I don't want that for Iori.

The man with the most unique colors of all the knights of the Round Table. (This reminds me of Elysia from Hon--)

This knight, who is predicted to be born in May (just like Mordred and maybe Gawain), has a uniqueness that not everyone is aware of, even his own fans.

His hobby is not teasing or hitting on women. Instead he throws lore bombs and jinxing whenever he wants. What's worse is that the jinx he unleashed almost actually happened. He almost looks like Nasu's messenger.

There is another thing, the story of Lancelot was really hidden by Nasu. This indicates that Lancelot's appearance has actually become a spoiler that greatly influences the main story of FGO, especially in Arthurian. If you complain that Saberlot has very little story compared to Zekerlot...

Where did Choco get this information?

Of course, Nasu gave Choco some materials for Mélusine's design which uses Lancelot's saint graph. Including something that is a secret archive. This doesn't happen just once. Lancelot's lore will always increase and increase through other servants related to him or from other stories such as April Fool's JP 2022. There, Gudako tells of the one-on-one duel between Lancelot and Turquine.

If Choco is given this crucial reference material, you can bet Nasu has plenty more for others in his dusty warehouse. What else? Yes, it is true.

Lancelot will most likely play a heavy role in the main story when Galahad arrives.

You know, I liked pseudo-servants. Sure, I always thought that it would’ve been nice to get designs for the heroic spirit separate from their host as a bonus, but I generally was a fan of seeing Fate characters implemented and being given cool designs in the process.

Regrettably, FGO’s recent declaration that they will make more female Hindu gods into Sakurafaces was the last straw.

I was fine with Ishtar/Ereshkigal

I was fine with Amour

I was fine with Muramasa

But almost 10 Sakurafaces is where I draw the line.

I miss being obsessed with a series that sometimes it can wash out the bad days away.

GoT was really good up until season 5 (?) I think but it's really peak at season 4. Got obsessed and read spoilers, fanfictions and theories that are way better in season 7 and 8. I wanted to re-watch it so bad after the whole series of documentary of the War of the Roses... but....hmmm...

RWBY on the other hand is really flawed, it's the time that I got fascinated by different type of animations, and it's unique and different. And it got me through my dark times until graduation. So, it's really special no matter how flawwed it was. Just that sometimes, the fandom shipping and a lot of self insert things are sometimes too much to handle. I still gonna see how it ends though, good or bad.

Well, after RWBY, I try to find something similar as a way of comfort of waiting for the next volume and I came across Houseki no Kuni or Land of the Lustrous. And damn, that got me really deep to think about the teaching of Buddhism, and hours to read theories about the meaning and symbol in the manga. Also, really fine animation. It's fucking deep and I liked it. Which got me to loving Midnight Gospel. Totally different but similar in what I craved spiritually. The message of the two shows are really great that it's hard to forget them.

Fate Series is always been there since I'm a kid, and I always love digging deeper into history that's why it made me an instant fan. Although I didn't play the other games and the original VN coz I'm poor and lived in a distant province and FGO is the only game that I could access and the anime, it led me to study about King Arthur and the legends of the round, listening to documentaries around it and reading a lot of stuff in Encarta (not the orange one, but the blue one. Forgot what it's called) back in those days. I really got a stupid love about history when I first watched fate and made me consider in what should I become once I grow up. Ehh... just a dream... But still might come though in a different form. Damn I love history so much.

Hand Jumper - I managed to find this one when I'm searching for an action manga/manhwa/webtoon that was not a cliche, and I found gold I think.

Though not really obsessed with Railgun, I like the concept of powers in it. I don't give much thought about the mother anime of it as I'm super interested with what can electrokinesis can do and how, when and where it could be applied.

Well, I hope I can find another series that I could obsessed over again.

Fan Servant/Remake: Avenger Tezcatlipoca

I've been displeased with the representation of Aztec mythology in FGO since Quetzalcoatl, and it was clear that Tezcatlipoca was going to be demonized, so I made a fan servant concept for him well before LB7 was being teased. Wanted to show how Aztec gods fit Fate perfectly if you actually do your research.

Now that LB7 happened and I'm on tumblr, figured I'd share it.

Ascensions:

First form’s art sticks close to depictions of Tezcatlipoca’s ixiptla. He has an enraged look on his face, standing in a bloodstained temple while holding a weapon.

Second form’s art has Tezcatlipoca dress as a jaguar warrior, weapons raised and covered in blood. The background is outside on a dark night.

Ascension Quote: The crimes of the enemy cannot be forgiven. My punishment will be without mercy.

Third form’s art is mostly the same as the second, just with more signs of damage.

Ascension Quote: Stand back, I don’t want you to get hurt, but clearly more of my power is needed.

Final form’s art shows Tezcatlipoca sitting in a field at night, with flowers in his hair. Weapons are strewn across the field. Tezcatlipoca is playing a flute.

Profile

Entry 1: A major Aztec god associated with smoke and mirrors. He both destroys and creates, his destruction of the past worlds paving the way for the creation of the current world, which he gave up his own foot to create. Because he loves humans, he is willing to be harsh and even kill some in order to ensure they continue growing as a whole, like a farmer tending to his crops.

Entry 2: Humans known as ixiptla would be chosen to embody gods. Tezcatlipoca’s ixiptla had a long list of requirements, and was sacrificed to himself at the festival of Toxcatl every year. Every human that has been Tezcatlipoca is part of him. Because of this, he can be summoned as a servant through his ixiptla with a minimal loss of power and authority. The one here is the one who bore witness to the Toxcatl massacre.

Entry 3: The Toxcatl Massacre was a turning point in the conquest of Mexico, where worshipers were massacred by the conquistadors. Tezcatlipoca carries with him not just the vengeance of a profaned sacred rite, but the vengeance of those who saw their way of life trampled upon by the Spanish. 

Because he carries the rage of an entire culture, Tezcatlipoca’s Oblivion Correction surpasses the scale of any one individual. His is the grudge of one culture against the other, thus it could be said that he embodies prejudice rather than merely being prejudiced. To him Christians and Spaniards are monsters, not humans. All monsters must be slain.

Entry 4: Protection of the Faith EX: The ixiptla blend the line between man and god, Tezcatlipoca is both the worshiped and the worshiper. He believes in himself and his fellow gods as a human who revered them. As an existence bound in religious practice this manifestation of Tezcatlipoca is an aspect of religion itself. Therefore, it is impossible to place his version of Protection of the Faith on a scale.

Entry 5: The Victorious Night: Tezcatlipoca’s Noble Phantasm, a reality marble that forms a recreation of the Aztec retaliation against the Spainards after the Toxcatl Massacre, casting Tezcatlipoca’s enemies as the Spainards. 

Since it is a recreation those cast as the Spanish will always lose, unless they can escape the reality marble. Additionally, the activation of this Noble Phantasm summons every ixiptla of Tezcatlipoca from across time to slay the monsters in the name of humanity. 

Bonus Entry (requires start of Cosmos in Lostbelt): World Destroyer A: Tezcatlipoca is one associated with the end of worlds, clearing the way for Pan Human History. This skill facilitates the destruction of things that must be removed for the current world to exist. Tezcatlipoca destroyed many timelines like the Lostbelts.

“You have no need to bear the responsibility of destroying a world. A human can’t act on such a broad scale. I will destroy these stagnant worlds to plant the seeds of one where you can grow. That is a god’s love of humanity.”

My Room Lines

Random Line: Every manifestation of mine is different in some way, but they are all ‘me.’ If you are seeking a true Tezcatlipoca, you seek what does not exist.

Random Line: An evil god? That’s nonsensical propaganda spread by the monsters. Quetzalcoatl and I are opposing forces, do not simplify us into ‘good’ or ‘evil.’

Random Line: Avengers can’t forgive, it is in our nature. The monsters were the ones who refused to coexist, do not insult me by implying peace with them is possible.

Bond 1: The energy needed to maintain this form is enough of an offering to me, you need not give more. 

Bond 2: Say, do you have any interest in ballgames? Perhaps I’ll show you the great game of my people. It is far superior to any that those monsters play.

Bond 3: If you have any relationship troubles, feel free to request my help. I had four wives, we would renew our marriage every year a little before… apologies, I need to go unleash my rage on one of the monsters who deserve it, rather than you.

Bond 4: Why did I appear as a corpse with its heart showing in your room last night? That was a test, you passed it, so don’t worry. As the last hope of humanity, I can’t let you be weak. Now, do you have a wish for me to grant?

Bond 5: You don’t meet every one of my requirements, but I wouldn’t complain if you became the next ixiptla of mine. Perhaps you will become a me who is not an Avenger, who is free of this hatred.

Thoughts on Master-Servant relationship: I dislike both the terms master and servant for our relationship. My identity is no secret, call me by name, contractor.

Thoughts on Holy Grail: The world is movement, it is always changing. So rather than undo their crimes I will destroy the monsters, so something new can be made from their remains.

Birthday: Happy birthday. Now, what was the precise date of your birth? I hope it was a day that I govern, it’ll make protecting you from the monsters easier.

During Events: Oh, something lively is going on? It’s no Toxcatl, but perhaps it will do. Toxcatl… if only those monsters hadn’t appeared.

To John Dee: You have something that is mine. Return it, and your death will be swift and painless rather than the slow painful one you’d otherwise deserve.

To Cortez: I won’t let you tarnish this place. Your death will bring much joy, I’ll make sure you die again and again until I bore of killing you. Then it will be Quetzalcoatl’s turn to kill you.

To Chistian servants: Monster, invader, your day of judgment has come.

To Quetzalcoatl: Brother we should keep our distance, for the sake of our contractor. Call upon me if you’re fighting a monster or Beast however.

To Jaguar Warrior: Quit slacking off. Go back to your training or be punished. Humanity itself is on the line you idiot.

To Spartacus: Forced to fight to the death for mere entertainment? Mistreated slaves like you have my protection, continue your rebellion. Destroy the empire that will become a center of that detestable religion.

To Geronimo: You suffered at the hands of the monsters as well. Normally I don’t have allies, but I will always side with humans against monsters. We march together.

To King Hassan: Kill for the sake of killing? You must mean someone else. Every death has meaning, each act of destruction makes the path to an act of creation. What have you created through your death dealing, assassin?

To Ozymandias: Pharaoh? That’s the first I’ve been called that. Certainly not the worst title foreigners have given me, but it still does not suit me.

NP Chant

Gameplay/Interludes

I don’t care enough about FGO gameplay for a full kit theory craft, but Tezcatlipoca would have a specific anti Christian niche like Boudicca for the Romans. To make this not suck he’d be able to stick that trait on all enemies, either with a normal skill or as part of his NP before the damage part. His NP would be an AOE attack.

Tezcatlipoca’s interlude would have him talk about the story of the five suns as it relates to the Lostbelts. He and Quetzalcoatl would bicker over whose fault the first four worlds being destroyed really was, but they both agree that they can’t afford any real infighting while the Lostbelts remain.

Max Bond Craft Essence

Obsidian Mirror (art is of a handheld mirror): An item sacred to Tezcatlipoca. With these one could see and be seen by him. So long as this is kept close, Tezcatlipoca will always be near. For the last master of humanity, for the sake of humanity, just this once he will only be the enemy of one side.

Valentine’s Craft Essence

A Lost Song (art is of a flute): Not all knowledge is preserved, some is destroyed. There are many songs that will never be heard again. To cause such circumstances is unforgivable, but for this night that does not matter. For this night one of those songs is remembered, it is played to you. More than a song, it is a sign of trust, and as you listen, the avenger of the night wind smiles in a way avengers rarely do.

Five Guys was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell. Jerry and the couple's sons Jim, Matt, Chad, and Ben were the original "Five Guys". The Murrells had a fifth son, Tyler, two years later. Hi anon, thank you for the ask! Whoa this is cool. I've never gotten a Kirei request before. This will make for a good challenge as I don't know quite so much about this guy.

Edit: This was so difficult. I am so satisfied with canon Kirei that I haven't got many headcanons for him at all...

Sexuality Headcanon: I have no clue to be honest, though he did attempt a happy(?) marriage with his now deceased wife Claudia Hortensia, had his interesting obsession with Kiritsugu- and whatever spicy shenanigans he had going on with Gilgamesh during the fourth to fifth grail wars.... I cannot determine a clear sexuality headcanon for Kotomine Kirei.

I admit, I did assume he was more on the asexual spectrum when I first saw him in Fate/Zero, but after seeing some more fate stuff I legit have no clue anymore. I feel like there is so many complex nuances to what draws Kirei to certain types that I am not quite sure what his sexuality could be headcanoned as.

Gender Headcanon: I don't have any gender headcanons for Kirei, I feel like Kirei is very much who he is; especially by the dawn of Fate Stay Night in which he seems very comfortable as to how he identifies himself.

A ship: oooh Kotogil that ship is evil men supreme, absolutely hedonistic and sadistic ship where all desires converge and meld together into a thrilling rhapsody of pleasure! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT DYNAMIC! Also I ship him with Kiritsugu mainly because I loved their final battle in Fate/Zero, as well as their contrasting ideals. That fight was incredible, one of my favorites of all time. Posts that call Kiritsugu Kirei's 'manic pixie dream bf' make me chuckle so hard because Kirei really was searching for something in that guy, and I feel like in a ship, that would be incredible to explore in further detail.

I don't have many Kirei ships, but I'm open to others as well! Like him and Kariya can be interesting to see just for the multilayered chaos that can be unleashed from such a pairing.

A NOTP: I have a few but mainly because I don't really like the massive age differences that are a feature of some Kirei ships. I think Kirei is a twisted guy. Ah, I also am not a fan of Bazett x Kirei solely because of how exactly their dynamic ended; it was shocking and heartbreaking what happened between them! (I see no issue with people liking Kirei x Bazett though, it's just not for me personally).

A BROTP: I feel like there are many possible exciting BROTP for Kirei, especially with FGO Rasputin now joining the team. Yeah I don't have any specific names in mind, I'm pretty neutral on this front. Would Angra and Kirei become friends? I am very curious about that.

A random headcanon: I don't really have any for Kirei, I am not sure why but I am so content with how he is in canon that I haven't got more to suggest for him. I guess he would love events like the 'geki kara (super spicy) food festival' mainly just to horrify others and cause a massive sense of unease as they watch him suffer over all of the sulfur level hot dishes and then derive pleasure from it.

General Opinion over said character: Kotomine Kirei is INCREDIBLE. What an amazing character. He is evil in nature yet tried so hard to exemplify 'good' and be something that he was not; even being able to understand the ins and outs of the concept of good; as a man with incredible moral understanding yet who packs a nature that juxtaposes so severely with his moral wisdom that he just leaves me SPEECHLESS. And then once Kirei adopts his true self, he truly flourishes (at the cost of everyone else's sense of safety and security). And then they make his magic of a HEALING TYPE and he recites PRAYERS whilst doing fucked up things I mean to me that's one of the coolest character archetypes EVER!!! Kirei is so terrible that he goes right back round to being a top-tier, brilliant character who never ceases to surprise, shock and amaze me.

HE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV ANTAGONISTS!!! His character arcs, development and personality are just so well written. I feel like Nasu and Takeuchi really popped off when they made this guy.

To counteract this, Kadoc and a host of volunteer Servants Rayshift into Guda's mind and help reconstruct their decaying memories by playing the parts of various individuals from their old civilian life that they get subconsciously assigned as they dive deeper into Guda's head to unravel the spell affecting them, learning a lot about Guda's past in the process, for better or worse. For all their apparent normalcy, even Guda has experienced their fair share of trauma growing up, well before they got involved with Chaldea.

A mysterious enemy has attacked Chaldea, but nobody is hurt, no things are much worse, the people that the servants loved yet were unable to save all appear before them, reminding them of their failures, the sins that are ingrained in their very souls

Morgan, after getting sick and tired of Oberon’s bullshit does some REVENGE. She gets pesticides, bug sprays, anything that is able to harm insects, and when Oberon decides to fuck with her, she goes absolutely HAM with the bug repellent and going psychical. Local Oberon found dead in Chaldea hung on a wall

Smut, Barghest is determined to make sure her romance with her Master will not end in tragedy. To that end, she tries hypnotherapy, in an attempt to help control her impulses that compel her to "devour the one she loves". To everyone's surprise, it works! However, to nobody's surprise, it also involved altering the inherent definition of what Barghest considers "devouring" her beloved means. On one hand, Ritsuka is no longer in any danger whatsoever of ending up as her lunch. On the other, his pelvis may not survive the night, but that is a sacrifice he is more than willing to make.

EX isn’t always the best-est is just means it’s hard to measure (although it’s almost always above A strength). Heracles’ endurance is static, he’s immune to B rank and below attacks. While characters like Spartacus or Red Hare’s endurance fluctuates depending on if their skill and noble phantasm is activated.

yeah i mean that's what it's supposed to be for sure, but they basically just....stopped caring after a while. Like, fans have always acted like EX means "Best-est" and somewhere along the way they started doing that too. It's one of the many many many things that make FGO's worldbuilding so shit via the sheer inconsistency of everything.

Like just to use Heracles as an example, these days he would very easily be argued as EX Endurance and/or Strength because of Nine Lives being able to manifest as supernaturally strong or as defying the concept of death itself several times over. Those would be argued as "Exceptional" or "So extreme it's hard to quantify"
