“Did I ever tell you about the fan convention thingy? With Chuck and Becky? And the ghosts of those little boys?”
“I don’t think so, Dean.”
“You remember the Supernatural books?”
“Yes, the Winchester Gospels.”
“Whatever. Anyway, Becky that squirrely superfan that married Sam? Well she decided to hold a fan convention for the books. This was after Lucifer was free but before Sam went to hell. And then she used Chuck’s phone to get us to come, made us think it was a case.”
“That must have been surprising when it wasn’t.”
“Yeah it was… something else. Somehow not nearly as disturbing as the musical though.”
“Oh yes. I liked the musical.”
“You weren’t even there!”
“No, but Sam told me about it. And I might have had Charlie scour the internet for a recording.”
“You what?!”
“The songs were very catchy. And I thought their Castiel did an excellent job.”
“That’s our lives. That’s not the point. You know what, never mind.”
“Sorry Dean.”
“So anyway, there wasn’t a case but we stuck around because Chuck asked us to. This was before he was God. Or at least before we knew he was God. And then there was a case.”
“What kind?”
“Ghosts. Ghosts of some little boys and their babysitter or whatever. Ended up having some pretty close calls. We thought it was the babysitter who was the evil one but she was keeping the sadistic kid ghosts in check. Was a whole thing.”
“Sounds complicated.”
“Yeah well…”
“What?”
“I just keep thinking.”
“About what?”
“About the boys in the cemetery.”
“The dead boys?”
“No, not them.”
“What boys are you talking about then?”
“There were these boys. Guys. Whatever. They helped Sam and me get the ghosts. They were larping as me and Sam and they really saved our bacon. I talked to them the day after it all went down.”
“About what?”
“Tryin’ to convince them that Sam and me were the real Sam and Dean. Don’t think they believed me though.”
“So you’re thinking about two men who helped out on a case more than ten years ago because they didn’t believe you were you?”
“No. I mean, not really. That’s not what I keep thinking about.”
“What are you thinking about then?”
“Well they were together. As a couple. And they met because of the Supernatural books. And the fact that they were together as Sam and me was weird and gave me the heebie-jeebies. But…”
“But what?”
“I keep thinking about how sweet they were. That next morning. I mean they were clearly friends when they were in the cemetery the first time with us. Friends and super not used to the idea that ghosts could be really real. And then after we got trapped in the place they managed to dig the dead boys up and send them on their way and no way we woulda survived very long without them.”
“And?”
“And I don’t know. I guess I just keep thinking of how they were always in it together. Like they did the larping thing and they were dating or whatever. They saved us together.”
“Do you know what happened to them?”
“Nah.”
“Do you wish you did?”
“I don’t know man. It’s just… I was so surprised when they said they were together…”
“And now?”
“Now I wish I could say sorry. Or thank you? I mean I did thank them for stepping up. But just. I want to say thank you.”
“You could try to get Sam to search.”
“Nah. I don’t remember their names. Or where they were from.”
“Do you want to say it out loud anyway? As if they were here?”
“What, like praying?”
“No. Or maybe yes. Maybe you just need to say it out loud.”
“Not very good at that.”
“I hadn’t noticed.”
“Yeah yeah. I deserved that.”
“Yes you did.”
“Though you aren’t great at it either.”
“I was an angel. I had to learn how to be human. What’s your excuse?”
“A shitty upbringing? Coupled with living in a patriarchal society that punishes men for expressing their needs and feelings?”
“You’ve been talking with Claire.”
“Your point?”
“You’ve been listening to Claire.”
“You don’t have to make it sound so impossible.”
“It surprised me.”
“We talk all the time!”
“You talk smack all the time.”
“’Talk smack’?”
“Did I use that wrong?”
“No. But that doesn’t mean you should say it.”
“Okay.”
“What would I say? To the air or whatever.”
“Say what you want to express to the men who caught you off guard by being homosexual.”
“You know I had issues.”
“How badly did you panic?”
“I did not panic at all. I may have made it a little awkward.”
“So what would you want to say. To make it not awkward in your head anymore?”
“I… I don’t know. I mean I know, but I don’t know how to say it.”
“Would it hurt to try?”
“It might.”
“You don’t have to.”
“I think it’s the kind of hurt that might help.”
“Okay.”
“Well, here goes. Dear guys who larped as Sam and me and were a gay couple. A lot’s happened since I met you. Thanks again for ganking those ghosts in the cemetery. Saved our asses. Which we covered the next day. Sorry about being weird with you. To you. Whatever. After you said you were together. I didn’t really know how to process that because you were larping as me and my brother and that part still skeeves me out. But also, I didn’t know how to see you be that open and together. I didn’t know you could be a gay couple and just be that. Though obviously you could. I guess. I mean, it’s great for you. No that’s not what I mean, I mean it is great for you. To…to have someone. I just didn’t know how to live where people could see me. And to see you…made me have to think about a bunch of stuff I wasn’t really ready to look closely at. In my own heart. But I think about you, and I think about how good you were together. So, uh, anyway. I hope you’re still happy. And together and stuff. And like I said. Thanks.”
“How did that feel?”
“It felt…it felt okay.”
“Then I’m glad you did it.”
“Me too… Hey Cas?”
“Yes Dean?”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“Do you think it’d be weird to, you know, maybe try to find them?”
“What if they aren’t together? Or…”
“Dead? Yeah, that would be hard. But maybe that’s not what’s important.”
“Then what is important?”
“I was so thrown by the gay thing I didn’t really think about the fact that these dudes now knew that ghosts were real and they only had each other. I shoulda given them my number or looked out for them. Or something. So maybe…maybe I should try to find them. And if they’re still alive. Maybe I can…maybe we can help them. Or whatever.”
“I think that’s a great idea Dean.”
“You do?”
“I do. Come on. Let’s get some sleep. We can talk with Sam in the morning and figure out how to start the search.”
“Thanks Cas. Love you.”
“Love you too Dean. Good night.”

Who is your main cast? Describe as many of your OCs as you can cram into one post.
Character Introduction- this is by no means the entirety of our cast, not even close.
Leith and I each developed our own characters over many many years and I'm going to do my best to bring Leith’s characters to life as accurately as possible and I promise to love (torture) them like they're my own.
Andi’s characters-
Xavier Alexander Maxwell- When it comes down to it, this is Xave's story. A small pale faerie-human halfling, with a painfully tragic beginning, looking for love and family in all the wrong places. Xavier has neon, glitter, and more sexual energy coursing through his veins than he knows what to do with. A faerie half he doesn’t always have control over, and between the Fae, the Zaccardas, and his own personal demons- all fighting for a chance to control him, it’s going to be a long dark journey. It’s not ONLY pain and dark. It's just MOSTLY pain and dark. ...you know, aside from all the glitter and neon.
Alexander- I wasn't planning on adding Alex to this, I am not sure how I didn't realize he was one of the main characters till now, but he shows up as often or even more often than any of the other characters besides Xave. Alex is Xavier's fae half. They are the very first human/faerie hybrid and though they aren't completely separate, there are some strong distinctions, and they communicate with each other, so they are separate enough for Alex to have his own blurb.
But really it's very difficult to tell where one of them begins and the other ends. They are the same being, They are both magic and mundane, they are both human and fae. Xave tends to lean more human, Alex tends to lean more faerie, they are both real. They do have somewhat distinct personalities, ... Xave is 2010 Bill Kaulitz (especially the blushy giggly interviews) and Alex is Adam Lambert in For Your Entertainment. In either case there is a lot of mascara involved. It's complicated.
Rivet Dragonrail- A grown up lost girl with dark olive skin and brown eyes, she has always tried to put her clouded origins behind her, but they never seem to stay put. With freakish abilities she’d rather not have, a pervasive drinking problem she scoffs at, and an unfortunate talent for violence in the service of those for whom she is unwillingly compelled to play the role of savior, it seems like she’s always walking a path hellbent on destruction. She feels the sins she has committed are ceaselessly breathing down her neck, requiring atonement she does not know how to provide. She would like nothing more than to stand in the eye of the raging storm of the lives lived and lost around her, screaming at the sheer horror of it all, giving a big middle finger to both heaven and hell alike. But what good, really, would that do? So she plods on- her best friends are the knife on her hip, the beer in her fridge, the damn raven-shifter who has adopted her out of morbid curiosity, the damn chicken she’s adopted out of sheer respect for his will to live.... and Jaq, her ride or die that she can’t figure out her feelings for, but it doesn’t fucking matter because that just ain’t happening. Jaq is as gay as it gets.
Ember Skye Arceneaux- He’s too good to be true. No, really. His smile is like sunshine poured into your soul. Golden surfer boy good looks with sunkissed golden surfer hair tucked behind his ears, but his golden tan isn’t from the beach or the salon, it’s just his skin. Kind-hearted and generous. Plays guitar and sings like an angel with a perfect soulful raspy voice... And he loves Jaq absolutely and unconditionally, whether Jaq deserves it or not... and he’s Canadian. His only flaw seems to be that he’s maybe a little too laid back?
Luca Zaccarda- Since childhood his exceptionally ambitious mother has pushed him to leadership. She grafted her way on to the powerful Zaccarda family tree by marrying a younger son with no ambition past his next perfectly kneaded loaf of ciabatta, and then did everything in her power to see her eldest child reach the heights of power for which she believed he was destined. There’s only one problem- Luca doesn’t share her cut-throat nature. Ambition, power, and the trappings of wealth have never been the driving factors in his life and he’s set his mind to changing the status quo, mama and her scheming be damned. Oh, he’s just as capable a leader as she believes him to be. He’s no plump baker happily whistling away his hours in the kitchen like his father.. and he’s planning on taking down his own corrupt family, one... by one... by one. ...also... Mafia Werewolves anybody!?!
Teodoro Zaccarda- oh Teo, Teo, Teo. The black sheep. The playboy prince. Constantly in the tabloids, constantly in trouble, needing bailed out of this situation or that. Coming home drunk, or high, or naked. The family embarrassment. He just wishes his family wouldn’t expect so much from him. Like, the bare minimum. That’s all they expect Teo. The bare minimum.
There are about 50 other Zaccardas. I have a family tree of them. Some are more important than others, but the two listed here show up far more often than any of the others.
Leith’s characters-
Wynter Primose Dean - The physical embodiment of anxiety, standing at 6ft 9, built like a brick house, with a heart of gold and a difficult stutter. He fell in love with the right person at the wrong time, felt heartache like he had never before and after an extremely traumatic breakup he discovered his true nature, under a full moon, alone and afraid in the middle of nowhere - a werewolf. With a love for nature and all things wild, he spends a lot of his time isolated out at his cabin, crafting beautiful wooden furniture and spending more time with trees than with the people he calls family.
Jaq Knox - Dealing with childhood trauma and serious mental illness that messes up his perceptions of reality, he rarely trusts people. For the few he has let in it’s a constant battle with communication and understanding, for both parties involved. He struggles to understand the absolutes of right and wrong; he does have a moral code but often, especially in the past, he’s just been a thoughtless asshole as it was easier that way, easier to keep people at a distance. Throughout his struggles with his mind, encounters with the law and various substances, he’s been pushing boundaries in the art world and is slowly learning how to be a better person, realizing that people actually do care about him and that maybe having a found-family isn’t so bad after all.
Eden Knox - He seems perfect, standing at 6ft tall with soft, pale blonde hair and clear skin, dressing in white and pastel colors, carrying an expensive purse and smelling like a walking Bath and Bodyworks. But as with everyone he has his demons, his just happens to have a name - Jonah. He was swept off his feet at the tender age of nineteen and carried off into a life that was a very far cry from his upbringing in a group foster home. But his perfect life with his handsome husband is nothing like what it appears from the outside, and life gets very dark before it begins to get light again.
Aspen Merrill - The younger of the Merrill brothers, he started a family at a young age with a woman he didn’t truly love - after a very amicable divorce they now co-parent their two children. He was lost for a very long time, wandering between jobs he didn’t really enjoy, women he didn’t really love, friends he didn’t really like, until he met Luca and he found his calling. He is Alfred to Luca’s Batman, from straightening ties before important meetings to organizing decoy cars to get Luca out of dangerous situations, he is extremely calm and collected and a haven of stability.
Jonah Merrill - The king of his own castle, the only person that matters in his world is himself, oh and sometimes his husband, when its convenient to him of course. Never one to shy away from threats or violence to achieve a goal, he’s not only unstoppable in his personal life but in business, using his many connections to overpower and intimidate anyone who gets in his way. Once he discovers magic and the power it can bear he’s even more unstoppable than before, and uses his husbands complete loyalty for his own very dark plans.
The cast is a pride rainbow flag. We’re all queer here. Well, except for Aspen, he might be one of the only completely cishet character in sight.

Reflections sounds great. I hope you do figure out how to edit it because I’d love to read it. Why does Padma leave Theo? Also, I’d lii ok ve some headcanons on the kids.
I might look into it this week and just post the whole thing on Ao3, we’ll see.

Devansh “Devon” Theodore:
Born August 30, 2000
He pushes Padma and Theodore together
Padma moved in with Theodore when she was about halfway through her pregnancy
Devansh is a really clingy baby and Padma adores him, he is a complete Amma’s boy
Dean and Parvati are his godparents
He’s really upset when Padma and Theodore break up, he doesn’t like his parents fighting
When they get back together and he finds out about Anamika, he is so excited
He didn’t think he would get anymore younger siblings and he loves being an older brother
He’s really close to Hajari and also Anamika and Minali
They were all born before he went to Hogwarts
He’s sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts and Padma is so proud
He feels a bit disjointed from his three younger siblings because he was at school when they were born, also because he’s so much older than them
He has a great relationship with his older cousin Naveen and his too younger cousins Sasha (same age as Hajari) and Anika (three years younger than Hajari)
The five of them get along really well and make time to hang out while at Hogwarts
Devansh is really worried when Anamika starts at Hogwarts, but he keeps an eye on her as Head Boy
He decided when he was fourteen that he wanted to be an Auror after Harry and Ron came to speak in his DADA class that year
Hajari “Jared” Raavi:
Born January 19, 2002
Padma and Theodore were barely talking when he was born, but it changed how the co-parented Devansh
He’s their troublemaker
Pansy and Gregory are his godparents and it honestly adds into his chaotic nature
They all kind of expected Sam and Hajari to get together, so it was a bit of a shock when it was Devansh and Sam
He is very easy going and part of that is growing up between homes for his first five years or so of life
His best friends are Sam and Sasha, they keep him from causing too much trouble
He loves being an older brother, especially to his baby sisters, he loves them soooo much
He’s sorted into Gryffindor and it’s a bit conflicting to Theodore, but he knows that Hajari will do well there
He starts up a rivalry between himself and Veronica Finnigan, though it’s sort of half rivalry/half friendship depending on how much they annoy each other
Seventh year they’re made Head Boy and Girl and they hook up quite a bit
Mutual attraction, stress of being heads and leaving that year, and the added family pressure
Hajari has always loved visiting St. Mungo’s, and having so many younger siblings becomes very familiar with the maternity ward
He becomes an OBGYN/Pediatrician Healer after graduating
He helps deliver Ernika!! His goddaughter!!
After a few years he sees Veronica in a pub and they drink and have some fun and hook up again
Veronica gets pregnant
With triplets
TRIPLETS!!!!
Hajari doesn’t even know what to do or say, and he just shuts down
Luckily he can’t be her Healer
He’s always known that he loved Veronica, but more in a friendship way, not in a really romantic way (denial at its finest)
They both mature though and Hajari realizes that she is what he wants in life
They get married when the triplets are four and their next daughter is two
They have one more baby, a little boy when the triplets are eleven and their daughter is nine (they are not happy about it, but grow to love him)
Anamika “Mia” Parvati:
Born July 29, 2007
The first Nott daughter to be born (and survive) in seven(?) generations
Theodore cries so much when he holds her for the first time, he never imagined that he would get to have a daughter
She looks just like Padma and Parvati when she’s older, she could pass off as their triplet if they were the same age, but she has Theodore’s green eyes
She’s exactly 22 days older than her best friend (and godsister) Lyla Zabini
Their godparents are Draco and Astoria
Because Anamika and Lyla are so close, they count Lyla as their second daughter and she is the first honorary Nott child
She is the oldest of the younger five and the one who always bridges the gap between the older brothers and the younger siblings
She and Lyla are sorted into Slytherin and share a dormitory room together
She’s very shy around new people and it makes most think that she’s standoffish or judge mental, but she’s really not
She starts writing for the health and beauty section of the the school paper her first year and is welcomed back the next year
Her seventh year, she and Louis Weasley are asked to be co-head Editors and it’s not what either wants, but they are a great team
They both have strengths the other doesn’t have
Anamika kisses him one night while their working and Louis is just shocked that she felt the same way he did
They get very close after that (they have “relations” on the Editor’s desk)
When they graduate, they move into a little cottage in the middle of nowhere by the water
Louis stays home and works on his art while Anamika works at the Prophet as an editor on the health and beauty section
They elope when their nineteen and have their first baby about a year later
They have three kids and then twins nine years after their youngest
Louis actually becomes quite successful after doing a few portraits of different Ministry officials, but landscapes are his real speciality
Anamika though, is always his favorite subject and he never tires of drawing or painting her
Minali “Ali” Theresa:
Born February 3, 2011
She is born nine months after Padma and Theodore get married
Millie is her godmother and she makes sure this kid is independent
All three of her older siblings couldn’t wait for her to be born!!
Devansh cried when he left for Hogwarts because he knew he would miss so many of her firsts
But Padma and Theodore take so many photos to send to him (and you know, to keep for themselves)
She an Appa’s girl, she loves Theodore and follows after him everywhere (and he loves it)
She is his first child to actually look like him (like it’s eerily similar, more than either of the boys) and he loves seeing himself reflected in someone
She grows up very independent, but she also loves and adores her family and falls on them when she needs too
She’s sorted into Slytherin and doesn’t take shit from anyone
When Anamika graduates and moves out, Minali takes Vee under her wing as Anamika did for her at school
She is Navya (Anamika and Louis’ first daughter) godmother

She has a long talk with her cousin Sasha (who is out) and comes to realize that she’s very attracted to girls, more than she could pretend to be to boys
She comes out to her family in stages, first to Minali who she’s closest too, then her younger siblings, then all of her three oldest siblings (she had been most scared of what Devansh and Anamika would think of her, not so much Hajari) and finally her parents (they knew)
It’s such a relief to finally admit this to herself
You know who has known that they were gay since they were thirteen and was in love with Vee?? Ellie Davies!
She’s not out to her parents, but Cho catches them snogging in a broom cupboard and Ellie cries while Vee comforts her
Cho makes sure that her daughter knows that she loves her, Rodger kicks her out of his life, so does her oldest brother Conrad, her other brother Mason showers her in love
Ellie gets signed on to play for the Tornadoes!! Her favorite team!! And Vee becomes a writer for Quidditch Weekly and follows the Tornadoes everywhere
Vee has both of their daughters (thanks to Mason) and they just live a happy little life

She is really close to Hajari though, especially when he has the triplets, even if she’s at school for the first few months of their life

When she graduates, she gets a job writing about new/up and coming Quidditch players
It’s how she meets Ollie Jay
He’s the new Keeper for the Magpies and the attraction is instant
About five months into the relationship, Tarika decides that she wants a baby, and Ollie Jay is so for it
Exactly a year after they meet, they get married while Tarika is six months pregnant
They’re really happy together, despite both of their families concerns
And the bridge the Nott and Wood families, which means that their kids have soooo many cousins

Padma gets postpartum depression after having the twins and it takes a few months (and some therapy) to break out of it
She had been so happy to have them, but knowing that they were her last babies (after accepting that Vee would be her last baby) was really difficult for her to accept
Theodore is really supportive, but it’s not easy to care for the four youngest kids by himself
Rishi’s godfather is Cassius Warrington and he is so happy to even be considered let alone actually a godfather
Rishi struggles a little being the youngest and with such a big age difference between him and his brothers
Theodore sees this and they often go out just the pair of them, and it’s really good for both of them to not only get time together but also away from all the girls
He is so happy when Ernika is born because he thinks that makes him not the baby of the family, but it’s not how that works
He’s sorted into Hufflepuff at Hogwarts and he likes that he’s completely by himself and none of his siblings
When he’s fourteen, a new family moves into their building, and Rishi meets Eliza Russ
She’s a year younger than him and they start as friends, but they are so in love within hours of meeting each other
Padma and Theodore know that something is up within two days and they’re happy to meet Eliza
(It was not complaining when Tarika teased him about being the baby, the usual bait)
When he graduates, he starts his training at St. Mungo’s and it’s interesting working with his Appa and brother (at least in the same building)
He goes into Oncology (cancer treatment)
When Eliza graduates he proposes and they move in together
They get pregnant within a year with triplets
Eliza wasn’t very happy at her job at the Ministry and is just happy to be home with their kids
They adopt a little girl after struggling to get pregnant again, and a month later Eliza finds out she’s pregnant
They have three more kids
I just love Padma and Theodore and their big happy family!!

Kurt could not bring myself to regret transferring, out of Mckinley High School. He would miss the glee club. He would miss his friends and his favorite teacher, Mr. Shuester, but he was no longer safe on campus. The bullying had gotten worse over the last year, and after his father’s heart attack, he did not want to worry him. After Burt married Carol, Kurt felt like he could leave, and they could have time to themselves, as newlyweds. Finn and Kurt did the research and found Dalton Academy. They had a strict no bullying policy and Kurt qualified for a scholarship. They presented it to their father and he reluctantly agreed. A month later, the teen was unpacking my largest suitcases, in the new dorm.
“Well, Buddy. It looks like you are all set.” Burt looked around the room smiling. “I guess I should let you get settled.” That was the thing about the man. He was not one to get sentimental, in public. He patted his son’s shoulder and sighed. “You know, you can come home anytime. I’m only two hours away.”
Kurt smiled and nodded at the man. “I know Dad. I’ll miss you too.” He turned and hugged his father. He knew that he would miss the man, and would worry nonstop. Burt’s heart attack really scared him but he had to trust that Carol would take care of him. He turned to look around the room again as his brother Finn walked into the room, carrying the last box.
“Alright man, that’s everything.” Finn tossed Kurt the keys to his navigator and patted his shoulder.
Kurt chuckled and shrugged as he caught the keys. “Thanks for driving him up for me.” He gave his brother an awkward side hug.
Finn grinned at him. “No problem. I figured it’s be the only time you’ll let me drive it.”
“Well that’s true.” He shrugged and took a long breath, looking at two of the men in his life. He was never really good at saying goodbyes. “I guess you guys should get on the road, if your going to get home before rush hour.”
Burt nodded and clapped his hands. “We’ll call you when we get home.”
“Thanks Dad.” Kurt smiled hugging his father, one more time.
“Anytime.” Burt nodded as he guided Finn out of the dorm room. Kurt watched them go until he witnessed them climbing into the elevator. He missed them already. He wiped away a tear and began unpacking the boxes, before heading down to get dinner.

Kurt grabbed his trey and looked around the cafeteria. He smiled nervously watching the students eating their dinner. Other than the mass of uniforms, it was not much different than the McKinley cafeteria. It was a little harder to decipher between cliques, but Kurt figured, he’s figure it out quickly. He found an empty table at the far corner and started heading over to grab a seat.
He jumped slightly as blond boy bounced over to him. “Hey,” The boy started. “I’m Jeff. My math teacher said we’d be getting a new student, and I’m guessing that’s you.” Kurt stood shocked for a moment at the boy’s infectious bubbleness. He had not really expected anyone to notice his presence, but he guessed they did not get many mid-semester transfers. Jeff looked at him expectantly. “Um, I guess, I just wanted to invite you to sit with us, for dinner.” He pointed at a table with another boy, watching the exchange.
Kurt smiled at Jeff and nodded. “Um yes, sure.” He bit his lip as he walked over to the table, sitting across from the darker haired boy. “Um, Hi.”
The boy reached across offering his hand. “I’m Nick. Nice to meet you.”
Kurt smiled and shook his hand. “Kurt.” He smiled at the two as Jeff sat next to him. “Thank you for the invitation.” He placed his napkin in his lap as he began to eat.
Jeff took a bit of his pizza before he started talking again. “So what brings you to Dalton?”
Kurt looked up at him raising an eyebrow. “I really don’t want to talk about it.”
Nick nodded. “Jeff, don’t talk with your mouth full. And you don’t have to. That was a rude question.” He smiled and took a sip from his soda. “So, How are you tonight? Are you liking your dorm?”
Kurt smiled thankfully and nodded. “It is a nice room, and the RA said I could decorate it, as long as I don’t do any permanent damage.” He looked down and began eating his own dinner. He decided he liked the two boys. Jeff reminded him of Sam a bit.
Jeff grinned as he ate. “Are you thinking about joining any clubs? I guess you're going to be in my math Class, seeing that my teacher told us you were coming. Oh what’s your favorite class?”
Kurt laughed and shook his head. It was going to be fun trying to keep up with Jeff’s excitement. “Um, I don’t know. I have not looked at the list of clubs, that the counselor gave me yet.” He sipped his medium drip and looked up at his new puppy like companion. “My favorite class is French. I have that 5th block.” He shrugged. “I guess I’ll be in your math class. I’m a junior.” He shrugged trying to think. Had he answered all of Jeff’s question. “You are a bit of a ball of excitement, aren’t you?”
Jeff giggled. “Yeah, my friends say that I exude sugar.” He finished his pizza and began guzzling his soda.
Nick looked at Jeff, rolling his eyes and looked back at Kurt, smiling. “Yeah, my boyfriend can be a little overwhelming at times.” He shrugged eating a fry. “So, are you nervous about starting class tomorrow?”
Kurt gawked at him a moment before answering his question. “Um, yeah, a little. The dean said that the classes will be more advanced than what I’m used to.” He gulped. “Did you say, boyfriend?”
Nick nodded nervously. He did not want to scare the boy away, but he never hid that he and Jeff were together. “Uh, yeah. Is that a problem?”
Kurt shook his head. “No, not at all. It’s just that it… Um how do I say this? At my old school, it would be dangerous for someone to admit to being gay.” He looked at his tray blushing. He did not want to insult Nick and Jeff.
Nick laughed, shocking Kurt, to look back up. “No Bully policy. There are quite a number of out students here. Jeffy, here, is Gay. I’m bisexual.” He shrugged, showing that it really did not matter to him. “So classes? They are a bit tougher, but we have study groups that meet almost every night.” Nick grinned at him. Jeff and I are juniors, so you can join ours.”
Kurt smile, thankfully. He was glad for the subject change, as well as the offer. “Yeah, that would be great. I would hate to flunk out my first semester.”
Jeff grinned at him. “We would not let that happen. You’re going to be my new best friend.”
Kurt just chuckled shaking his head. Jeff was going to be a handful but he was thankful that the blond had asked him over. He finished his food thinking. He really could grow to like being here, if he had friends like Jeff and Nick. He looked at the pair and smiled. “Um, I think maybe it’s time for me to head back to my room. I still have unpacking to do, and I need to get my uniform ready, for tomorrow.”
Nick nodded and wrote his and Jeff’s numbers, on a napkin. “Text, of you need anything. Jeff and I always have our phone on.”
Kurt nodded thankfully. “Thanks. I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.” He blushed and got up, taking his tray to the trash.

Kurt looked around as he stepped into his math class. He walked over and introduced himself to the teacher. He found a seat in the back, after the man handed him a book and a work packet. Jeff and Nick waved at him as he took his seat, to look through the packet. Everything did look a bit more complicated than he was used too, and he was glad that he had been invited into the study group. He looked up when his teacher said his name. Everyone was looking at him expently.. “Uh, what?”
The man chuckled softly. “Would you like to introduce yourself?”
Kurt nodded and went to stand in front of the class. “Hi, I’m Kurt Hummel. I’m from Lima, Ohio.” He blushed looking at everyone. “Um, thank you.” He smiled at the group and then headed back to his seat. He hated being put on the spot like that. He breathed a sigh of relief as class started.
As soon as class ended, Kurt gathered his stuff in bag. He was approached by another student and smiled. “Hi.” He chewed his lip as he put his book away.
The boy held his hand out for him. “Hi, I’m David. I write for the school paper. I was wondering if you would not mind me writing a short piece on you?”
Kurt was taken aback a bit but took his hand. “Oh, It’s nice to meet you. I guess I really don’t mind. Can we meet after school?”
David nodded and gave him his number. “I have lacrosse practice and than Warblers rehearsal but I can meet after that.”
Kurt nodded raising a brow at him. “What are the Warblers?”
David laughed softly. “They are the glee club here. We are kind of rock stars.” He grinned. “I saw you with Jeff and Nick. They are members as well.”
Kurt grinned widely and swayed on his feet excitedly. “Oh cool. I was on my glee club, back home. Do you think they’d let me audition?”
David nodded and softly punched his shoulder. “Yeah , totally. What school did you go to? I’m might of already seen you perform.”
Kurt chuckled rubbing the back of his neck. “Mckinley High School. They are the New Directions.”
David grinned at him. “Oh yeah, you guys went all the way to nationals last year.”
Kurt blushed and nodded. “Yeah, we did. I really thought we had a shot. So, what time is rehearsal?”
David wrote down the time for him and waved as he started to leave. “I’ll see you there.”
Kurt nodded putting the paper in his vest pocket. He was smiling as he headed to class. Maybe it would not be so bad here. He was already going through song selections, for his audition.

Kurt was already a little worn when the lunch bell rang. He quickly grabbed his lunch and walked over to sit with Nick and Jeff. David was sitting with them as well, and he was not really sure if he was still welcome. “Um, is it alright if I join you guys again?”
Jeff looked up with bright excite eyes. “Yeah, of course.” He was practically bouncing with excitement. “How has your first day been?”
Kurt grinned at him as he sat down. He could not help but smiled with the boy. “It was alright. You were right about me needing to join a study group.” He shrugged opening his soda.
Nick looked up at him and nodded. “Yeah, we all really need it. The classes here are tough and the professors don’t take any excuses.” He shifted his food on his plate. “So, David says you’re thinking of joining the warblers?”
Kurt nodded as he started eating his sandwich. He hoped that his new friends would not be upset but he was really excited. “Yes. I was part of the Glee club at my last school and I would really like to join.”
Nick chuckled. “I can’t wait to hear your audition.” He shrugged and chewed his lip. “We’ve already talked to the council and they are excited to have a new member.”
Kurt raised a brow at him., wiping the corner of his mouth. “The council?”
David nodded. “Yeah, we don’t really have a choir director. The dean trusts us to handle the group on our own. Instead we have a council of three members, elected at the start of every year.” He shrugged. “We actually have two juniors and a senior.” Blaine, Wes, and Sebastian” He shrugged as he listed them off. “They are kind of strange, but they are doing a great job.”
“Wow, that is pretty cool, actually. What do you mean by strange?” Kurt questioned.
“Oh nothing really. They just don’t really socialize outside of the Warbler rehearsals.” David shrugged. “They transferred in my freshman year. They pretty much stay in the dorms, when they’re not in class or performing.”
Kurt nodded and thought about it for a moment. “Oh okay. Well anyway. I can’t really decide what to sing for my audition.” Kurt blushed contemplating his options.
“Oh, Can I help?” Jeff grinned and moved over to Kurt’s side, pulling out his Ipod. “I have like so many ideas.”
Kurt laughed and shook his head. “Maybe during free period?”
Jeff just nodded going through his song option. “Okay. I’ll meet you here.”
Nick just shook his head at his boyfriend. “You’ll have to reign him in, or you’ll never get through all his ideas. Remember to keep it simple. We are not looking for a show stopper. Just be yourself.”
“Thank you.” Kurt smiled at him. He was really starting to like these boys.

Kurt walked into his biology class and introduced himself to the professor. “There is only one seat left. You’ll have to sit next to Sebastian.” The man smiled and handed him a textbook, after pointing to the back table.”
Kurt looked at table and smiled as he walked over. “Hello, I’m Kurt.” He offered his hand to the boy, but was surprised to see him flinch away from him. “Um, Okay.” He put his hand back down and sat in the empty seat.
Sebastian sighed and moved his chair as far away from him as possible. He looked quickly as him and then looked away. It almost sounded like he growled, a little. The behavior only irritated Kurt. How could anyone be so rude. He really hoped this was not the same Sebastian that was over seeing his audition this afternoon.
He waved at Jeff as he walked into the room, and sat next to Nick. Jeff waved back but looked a little confused. Are you okay? He mouthed at him.
Kurt nodded as their teacher began to speak. “Okay, class. Tomorrow we will be starting on a project. It will take a couple weeks of research and out of class work. You’ll be in partners and your partner is sitting next to you.” Kurt let out a small groan. He could tell Sebastian really did not like him and he really did not want to get stuck with all the work.
Sebastian let out a sigh and pushed a piece of paper over with his phone number. Underneath it just read, Text me and we’ll set up a work schedule.
”Whatever.” Kurt rolled his eyes and tore off the bottom of the sheet before writing his own number and passing it back to Sebastian. The rest of the class was spent in silence, as Kurt listened to the teacher. He could feel the tension coming off Sebastian and he could not understand how the guy could hate him so much, already. He really hoped he did not just transfer school, just to find a new bully.

“Hey, what did you do to Sebastian?” Jeff asked as they walked into the common. “Did you stab him or something? I mean the guys an ass but…” He shrugged grinning.
Kurt shook his head and raised a brow at him. “I swear, all I did was introduce myself. Is he always so put off?” He put his bag next to a chair and sat down. “I he acted like my very presence offended him.”
Jeff shook his head. “No, he usually has a smirk plastered on his face and he tries to fuck anything that is on two legs. I can’t tell you how many times he’s propositioned me.”
Kurt sighed and shrugged. “Maybe it’s better he does not like me. I have a boyfriend back in Lima.” He sighed pulling out his sheet music. “I decided to sing “Lost in your eyes,” by Debbie Gibson.” He handed the music to Jeff who sat at the piano.
Jeff looked it over before spreading it out. “Are you sure? It’s a woman’s song?”
Kurt grinned and stood up to, dusting off his uniform. “Trust me.”
Jeff nodded as he started playing the song.
Kurt walked over to the piano as he began to sing.

Jeff looked up at Kurt with surprise and wonder in his eyes. Kurt had a beautiful voice. He had never heard anything like it.

Kurt smiled as he sat next to Jeff on the piano, playing an octave lower than his friend. He always loved the look people gave him when he sang. It’s what made him love performing.

Jeff got up and hugged Kurt as he finished the song. “Oh my god. That was beautiful.” He giggled and let the man go. “You did not tell us you were a countertenor. We have not had one in years, and you’ll bring us up an octave, in a good way.”
Kurt laughed and blushed. Jeff really could light up a room. “No one really asked. Do you think the others will like it?”
Jeff rolled his eyes. “Well, duh. You’re amazing and I can’t wait to see you wipe that smirk off Sebastian’s face.”
Kurt laughed and hugged Jeff. He just hoped that Jeff was right.

Kurt was shaking with excitement as Jeff and Nick led him to the choir room, for his audition. He had been waiting outside while they got ready for him. He gulped as he looked around at all the eyes staring at him. He has not really expected to be so many member.
“Kurt Hummel, welcome.” A tall asian boy smiled at him and motioned for him to stand in front of the room. He looked over the three boys set apart from the rest of the group. “Kurt, I am Wes. You’ve met Sebastian, and this is Blaine.”
Kurt looked into Blaine’s eyes and his heart stuttered. He had the most beautiful golden eyes, he had ever seen. “Um, Hi. I’m Kurt.” He coughed and shook his head. “Of course you already know that.” He could hear Blaine laughing softly.
Wes nodded and chuckled. “When you are ready.”
Kurt nodded as Jeff began playing the music, for him. He kept his eyes closed as he sang the song. As the song ended he heard the entire room erupt in applause. Kurt opened his eyes and looked around. The only ones not clapping were Sebastian and Blaine. Sebastian looked furious and Blaine looked into Kurt’s eyes with wonder.
Blaine stood up and walked over to him. “Welcome to the Warblers Kurt.” he spoke softly.
Kurt smiled unable to tear his eyes away from Blaine’s. “Thank you.”

Heya, after reading don’t stand so close me I have a big thing for younger alpha!dean and older Omega!cas—was wondering if you had any recs for that (or if any other bottom cas lover do haha) thanks!
I haven’t read the fic you mentioned (was it switching? I don’t recall) but I’ve read a couple of older!Cas and younger!Dean fics. I often actually prefer that to younger!Cas and older!Dean :DD
But I actually can’t really think of much for the a/b/o trope… I think some of them might have been PWPs and those are quick to slip my mind…! >w
I have three items to put on a short list, but maybe someone can help me with more!
So far I have:
Coming to Terms by Unforth which was written for this year’s DCBB. It features trans omega!Cas, who spends most of the story learning about and then coming to terms with the fact that he’s an omega and not an alpha. Dean’s quite a bit younger than him, a college kid with ambitions and an enjoyment of sex, which is why he’s also a sex worker. (Word of warning: he does bottom with everyone but Cas. It’s mentioned often, but never happens on screen)
Honeydew by SillyBlue (me) which doesn’t explicitly work with the age difference, but Dean’s out of college and Cas is the boss. It’s PWP with a bit of plot, so don’t expect too much ;D
Subway Beat by Bellacatbee which I haven’t read in a while but it does feature Cas being defended by Dean from the advances from a handsy Alpha. Dean is in his early 20s and Cas is 30.

Michael x Alex x Maria
So, after tonight's episode of Rosewell, I have some thoughts and feelings about the relationship between Michael, Alex, and Maria. Since the episode's airing, a lot of people (i.e. Malex stans) have been complaining about the threesome that took place between the three of them tonight. I read that the threesome and Miluca being together by the end of the episode is somehow an example of "queerbaiting" and a "disservice to the queer community". I've also read that Maria apparently manipulated and coerced Alex into the threesome and how Alex participating makes him weak or whatever because he's gay and not attracted to Maria sexually and what not.
First and foremost speaking for myself personally, I don't see how Michael and Maria getting into a relationship is queerbaiting. Going off of the definition of what queerbaiting is; a marketing technique for fiction and entertainment in which creators hint at, but then do not actually depict, same-sex romance or other forms of LGBTQ representation. Michael and Alex are canon highschool sweethearts who we've seen multiple sex scenes and other forms intimacy from and who unquestionably still love each other. Whether or not Michael and Alex every get back together it doesn't change their history or the shared love between them. Now to me, queerbaiting is the ship of destiel (Dean Winchester & Castiel from the show Supernatural) or the character of Stiles from Teen Wolf who although there were scenes of him sprinkled throughout the series that implied he could be bisexual he was never canonically made bisexual.
Speaking of bisexual, for those who haven't been paying attention, Michael Guerin is canonically an open and proud bisexual man and in the event that the series doesn't end with him being with a man it won't somehow invalidate his sexuality. Michael being in a relationship with Maria doesn't suddenly make him straight no more than him being in a relationship with Alex made him gay. He isn't either. Michael is bi and thus he is attracted to and can fall in love with people of both genders as he clearly has. Trying to make it seem like Michael being with a woman somehow takes away his place in the LGBTQ to me is a prime example of bi-erasure and incredibly biphobia.
I've also seen a few people say that Michael falling for two people at the same time plays into the trope that bisexuals are unable to commit and lust after everyone is wrong as I see Michael's love life to have more to do with his abandonment issues and longing for connection than it does to his sexuality. Max and Isabel being adopted and raised together as siblings while Michael was bounced around multiple abusive homes as a child was certainly a traumatic experience for Michael that left him with all kinds of damage that have affected his personal relationships. He attempts to keep people at arm's length but he always craves love and human connection. According to Alex ( in 1x09), although they've loved each other they've never known each other that well. Personally, I feel like both Alex and Michael were so deprived of love during their childhood that when they found each other they latched onto each other so easily because they just both needed and craved connection and affection. Michael fell for Alex because (outside of Max and Isabel) he was the first person to show him genuine kindness (allowing him to stay in his family's shed because of him being homeless) and them having a commonality and their shitty home lives. I feel like Michael grew to love Maria out of a friendship that evolved into caring that really cemented when Maria's mom was missing. He met two people that he cared for and tried to push away (Alex with the angst, Maria by making out with that random chick at her bar) but deep down Michael does truly want to love/be loved by someone which is why it's so hard for him to push either one of them away permanently.
Getting to the threesome that took place in the episode; Alex was not manipulated into the threesome. Or at this very least I didn't interpret the scene that way. From my point of view; Alex, Michael, and Maria went through a terribly horrifying experience together that left them all feeling shaken and in need of comfort. Alex had been stabbed (could have died) and in the time it took him to get to his feet probably had a dozen bad scenarios take place in his head about what could have happened to Maria. Maria went through being attacked by an ax-wielding crazy man who she thought possibly killed Alex and watched assault, Michael. And Michael went through believing that he had possibly lost two people that he very much loves (which on the cusp of everything that just went down with him thinking he could have lost Max and very recently watching his mother die in a terrible explosion couldn't have been great on his psyche) and he was hit an ax (fortunately not the sharp-end of it but am sure the shit still hurt). Three people, who are all intertwined in this complex (and really beautiful) relationship filled with connection, history, and love went through this shared ordeal and after everything, they shared a profound moment of intimacy.
Now some want to say that Maria coerced Alex into it but I didn't read the scene that way. To me, when Alex was uncomfortable about being involved in the threesome because if he felt that way he would have left. When the scene first starts I feel Alex is in this process of shock still kind of reeling over everything that happened with those weird-ass twins. When Michael tells the two of them that he almost lost them and then he and Maria kissed; I feel like Alex was thrown by their intimacy as hearing about two people that love loving each other and actually witnessing it with your own eyes are two completely different things. He initially says that he should go as Michael and Maria are clearly in the midst of sharing a very intimate moment but when Maria extends that moment to Alex and gives him an open invitation to stay and be with them he does.
Now we have no idea what the hell transpired once things went to black. People saying that because Alex is gay this is fucked up and what not and him sleeping with a woman is a disservice to his character and a whole bunch of other things to which I again don't agree with. For one, Alex dick probably went nowhere near Maria's vagina that whole interaction. More than likely there was at most a lot of heavy petting on their parts and all the actual intercourse was involved Michael living his greatest bisexual wet dream out. I don't know. No one knows. The point is that while Alex has stated he is gay, he has also said in this episode that kissing Maria was the first time he ever enjoyed touching another person. He is comfortable with Maria and however a person chooses to interpret their love you cannot deny that there is love there. Even if that love doesn't translate to a mutual sexual attraction they do both love each other deeply. Hell, if Alex was straight they've both made it clear that they'd be married and living happily ever after. It was a complicated situation mixed with high emotions and three consenting adults made a choice. That is what happened. It was all that happened. Alex was raped or forced to do anything that he didn't want to do. Maria clearly didn't want any of them to be alone but if Alex had been adamant about wanting to go she wouldn't have forced him to stay. More than likely she would have probably ended up leaving with him because dammit they started that trip together and her being the kind of person that she is she would have chosen her relationship with Alex over boning Michael.
The fact that they had Alex (according to himself) say that he had never been in a relationship before during the car ride with him and Maria earlier on says a lot about why he chose to end things with Michael the morning after. While he isn't ashamed of who he is, his relationship with Michael is messy at best and for all the good memories he has with him there are just as many bad if not more so. The night the three of them shared together was probably the most loved any of them have ever felt. It was special but it doesn't change all the messiness between Alex and Michael and I think Alex just needs time to find himself and discover what he likes and wants. In his 20+ years of life, Alex would say that he's dated no one, been in love with one guy, and the only other sexual/romantic moment he's ever felt is with his best friend he kissed once during seven minutes in heaven. Between his father being a dick and all the years spent in the military, Alex hasn't really had an opportunity to figure out what he wants and likes in a romantic partner. Which coming back home and immediately falling back into things with Michael probably hasn't helped.
This is where I think the new guy with the green-hair comes in. A fresh clean slate that I think will help him discover things about himself when it comes to those aspects of his life. While I definitely don't see this relationship being endgame, I do think it may play an integral part in Alex's character growth and development. Personally, my dream scenario by the series end would be a blissful throuple between Alex, Michael, and Maria. I've never seen the original Rosewell so whether or not my alien babies are meant to one day go back to their home planet is a mystery to me but if not am down with this show taking a page out of Siren's playbook and bringing on the polygamy. Now I know a lot of people will be like that ain't gonna work because Alex is gay but who's to say Alex can't be a biromantic homosexual. He could be sexually attracted and getting his back blown out by Michael while still feeling a deep love and connection to Maria that allows my throuple ship to sail. Don't come for my dreams!
Anyways, I ship Malex, Miluca and whatever the ship name between the three of them would be because quite frankly am down for Michael getting as much love as he can get and the relationship between the three of them is just amazing and wonderful and all my babies deserve nice things. So, that is my stance on it all. Am hoping that this threesome doesn't lead to ship wars or people acting the actors because it's always instances like this that bring out the ugly side of fandoms that I hate so much. No matter what you think of the current storylines going on I hope everyone remembers that everything going on right now is fiction. None of these people exist and with a very real global pandemic going on right now the last thing these actors need is people forgetting the fact that they are not they're characters and spewing hate at them for acting out someone else's vision. They are just characters in another person's story and even if you don't agree with the story being told it's no reason to be a dick. So please don't be a dick to real people over fictional characters.
(Fair warning and apologizes to anyone who makes it to the end of my rambles. It was incredibly earlier (and or late depending on how you see it) when I wrote this all out thus there is likely a crazy amount of grammatical errors throughout this post. I had just seen so much negativity surrounding my three most favorite characters in this show and the fact that so many people hated something that I loved seeing so much just made it hard for me to shut off my brain and go to sleep. WASHINGTON — Judge Brett Kavanaugh‘s life seems as carefully constructed as the Supreme Court arguments he will hear if he is confirmed to the high court. He checks all the boxes of the ways of Washington, or at least the way Washington used to be.
He’s a team player — the conservative team — stepping up to make a play at key moments in politics, government and the law dating to the Bill Clinton era and the salacious dramas of that time.
Yet in a capital and a country where politics has become poisonously tribal, Kavanaugh has tried to cover his bases, as Washington insiders have long done. He’s got liberal friends, associates and role models. He was a complicated figure in the scandal-ridden 1990s, by turns zealous and restrained as an investigator.
If he wins confirmation, he’ll be seated with Justice Elena Kagan, the Obama-era solicitor general who hired him to teach at Harvard when she was dean of the law school, as well as with his prep school mate, Justice Neil Gorsuch. Kavanaugh’s law clerks have gone on to work for liberal justices. He’s served with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in mock trials of characters in Shakespeare plays, a night out from the real-life dramas.
Amateur athlete, doer of Catholic good works, basketball-coaching dad, Yale degrees, progression from lawyer to White House aide to judge — it’s all there in a rarefied life of talent and privilege, though strikingly not one of great personal wealth.
The only skeleton in Kavanaugh’s closet that the White House has owned up to is as American as apple pie.
Spending on baseball games helped drive him into debt one year, the White House said. He’s also been ribbed for hoarding gummy bears when he worked as an aide to President George W. Bush. Because Republicans are not releasing critical documents for the Senate hearings that begin Tuesday, it remains to be seen if anything else is rattling around.
To critics, like Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee lining up to question him, Kavanaugh’s collegial disposition is “Much Ado About Nothing” (Kavanaugh’s 2012 mock trial for Washington’s Shakespeare Theatre Company, Ginsburg presiding).
“From the notorious Starr report, to the Florida recount, to the president’s secrecy and privilege claims to post-9/11 legislative battles including the Victims Compensation Fund, to ideological judicial nomination fights, if there has been a partisan political fight that needed a very bright legal foot soldier in the last decade, Brett Kavanaugh was probably there,” New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, now Senate Democratic leader, said in 2006 hearings that preceded Kavanaugh’s confirmation as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
His judicial record since? With some ideological mashup, it’s been conservative in the main, reflecting views that could swing the court right on abortion, gay rights, executive power and more for decades to come.
Kavanaugh heads into the hothouse of confirmation hearings representing the hopes of President Donald Trump and the right that he will do just that. One question from senators, whether expressed or implied, will be how far the apple fell from the tree.

HIS FATHER’S SON?
E. Edward Kavanaugh, 77, was a fixture in the Washington influence game years before Trump began calling it a swamp. Brett Kavanaugh’s dad lobbied for the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association, the national trade group for companies making personal care products.
He fought against government regulation and advocates who wanted cosmetics-testing stopped on animals, calling those activists “zealots who cannot comprehend that a child’s life is more important than a dog’s.”
“He is known by my colleagues in Congress as a straight shooter,” Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch said of Brett Kavanaugh’s father in supporting the son’s confirmation as a federal judge in 2006. “In this case, the apple did not fall far from the tree.”
Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, who tangled with the dad in hearings over potential health risks of cosmetics, finds the son’s record on regulation also troubling. “You don’t have to look at his genes,” Wyden told The Associated Press. “Just look at his record.”
An AP review of Kavanaugh’s dozen years on the D.C. appeals court and his wider public record shows him opposed to a variety of regulations, on greenhouse gases and more, as well as to the structure of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau established after the 2008 financial crisis, and to administration policies that circumvent Congress and risk “a runaway executive branch.” Yet he is deferential to the presidency, an approach that raises questions about whether he would protect special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible coordination between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia if that matter came before the high court.
His mother, Martha Kavanaugh, went on to become a prosecutor and state judge in Maryland, where Kavanaugh was raised as an only child, attending Georgetown Preparatory School as Gorsuch did.

UP THE LADDER
Brett Michael Kavanaugh’s career progression: law clerk for federal appeals judges, fellowship with then-Solicitor General Kenneth Starr, law clerk for Justice Anthony Kennedy (with high-school classmate Gorsuch), associate counsel in the Starr investigation, law-firm partner, Bush White House associate counsel, White House staff secretary, judge. He first dated Ashley Estes, then Bush’s personal secretary, on Sept. 10, 2001; they married in 2004 and have two daughters.
He’s from a wealthy family. In 2005 his father earned just over $13 million in compensation and a send-off retirement package as the cosmetic group’s president. But his own family’s finances are apparently modest.
Public disclosure forms for 2017 showed only two investments, together worth a maximum of $65,000, along with the balance on a loan of up to $15,000. As well, the White House said he had $45,000 to $150,000 of credit card debt in 2016, some of it from buying season tickets to the Washington Nationals for himself and several friends. That debt was paid off by last year, the White House said, and Kavanaugh was reimbursed for the friends’ tickets.

THE MILLION-PAGE MAN
The National Archives has millions of pages of records concerning Kavanaugh and he’s only 53. That’s how plugged in he was in Washington even before becoming a federal judge.
Kavanaugh put his stamp on investigations of the 1993 suicide of Clinton aide Vince Foster and the late 1990s Clinton-Lewinsky impeachment episode as a member of special counsel Starr’s team, served on the Republican legal team in the Bush v. Gore election stalemate of 2000 and had a quiet hand in White House national security and terrorism policy in the crucible of 9/11 and the wars that followed.
Archivists couldn’t process so many records for release in time for the hearings as Republican lawmakers push to get him confirmed before the November elections that could switch Senate control to Democrats.
Altogether, a mountain of material on the Zelig-like Washington player has emerged and an even larger mountain is yet to be revealed.
In a vast collection of released emails from his days as a White House aide, humdrum rules. They reveal little more than long nights at the office and the fact that other aides counted on him to advise when Bush’s travel costs should be billed to the Treasury and when they were too political to ding taxpayers.
AP’s review of Kavanaugh’s judicial record and decades of his writings and speeches does not illuminate whether he would vote to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision establishing the right to abortion.
But his record suggests he would vote to support restrictions.
He’s spoken admiringly of Justice William Rehnquist’s dissent in the 1973 Roe v. Wade case, yet recently told a senator that Roe is settled law. In a dissent, Kavanaugh accepted that a 17-year-old in immigration custody had a right to the abortion she wanted. Yet he indicated the Trump administration could delay her abortion while they tried to identify U.S. sponsors with whom she could live and who could counsel her on the abortion decision.

AN EVOLUTION ON ‘DASTARDLY’ DEEDS
A more in-your-face — yet still nuanced— figure emerges in a recently released August 1998 memo to Starr urging that Clinton be asked blushingly explicit questions about his sexual interactions with intern Monica Lewinsky so as to understand a “pattern of revolting behavior” and give Congress more information to decide whether Clinton should remain president. As a lead investigator of the Republican-sparked investigation, Kavanaugh also floated expansive grounds for impeaching a president, a trigger of some concern to Republicans now should an appetite in Congress grow for Trump’s impeachment.
But in a memo later in 1998, he recommended the Starr investigation be brought to a close and its findings turned over to the next president. “We believe an indictment should not be pursued while the President is in Office,” Kavanaugh wrote, suggesting this conclusion be reached by his colleagues.
The Starr report did bring on Clinton’s impeachment by the House, for perjury and obstruction of justice. The Senate acquitted Clinton and he served out his term.
Kavanaugh was also at the center of one of Starr’s many tangents, the investigation of the death of Foster, Clinton’s deputy White House counsel. In one way, Kavanaugh was a moderating force in that investigation. His ultimate finding, embraced by Starr, was that Foster indeed killed himself, and nothing was found connecting that self-inflicted shot in a Washington-area park nefariously to the Clintons, as the conspiracy theories had it. Yet the mere fact Starr took on that matter and Kavanaugh pursued it gave those conspiracy theories enough credence to persist, which they still do.
A decade later, in his 2006 confirmation hearings, Kavanaugh said he came to realize it was a mistake for a special counsel investigation to grow so broad, as if “Judge Starr was somehow the permanent special investigator of the administration.” Such prosecutorial reports, he said, can damage people’s reputations and the credibility of the investigation itself.
And in 2009, he wrote in the Minnesota Law Review that the country would have been better off if investigators such as Starr and himself had let Clinton focus on Osama bin Laden and other issues of the day rather than become entangled in a criminal probe. Put off criminal investigation until a president is out of office, he suggested.
“If the President does something dastardly, the impeachment process is available.”
Said Schumer: “Seems exactly like the kind of man President Trump would want on the Supreme Court if legal issues from the Mueller probe arise.”

Sonny: Well, will Melanie have anyone else besides Abigail and Gabi? Because one will be the maid of honor, and the only one will be the bridesmaid.
Chad: No, that definitely-- definitely won't happen.

Will: Why not? Melanie doesn't want a big wedding?

Will: Yeah, me neither. That's crazy. Well, I guess maybe--maybe I'd miss it because I'm pretty dense at sensing people's... signals and things.

Sonny: It might be the supplier I've been waiting for all day to call me.

Will: I'm not. You know, the funny thing was I thought that you guys were... together.

Will: No. The opposite, actually. Um, I forced him. This is embarrassing. But I forced him. I had some middle-school blackmail material... um, some photos.
Sonny: I don't even want to know.
Will: Won't get into it. But basically, he told me that, you know, you and Brian aren't together.
Sonny: Did he--did he say anything else? Well, of course he didn't say anything else, 'cause I don't have a love life. [Clears throat]
Will: Yeah, so I've heard. You know, the funny thing is that you don't have a love life for the same reason that I don't have a love life.

Will: Yeah. So I think we have more in common together than we thought.
