I love how after the first Hunger Games movie they just stopped bleaching Josh Hutcherson's brows. It's so stupid, but it's one of those little things that just tickle the fuck out of me, like it changed his look so much I feel. I just- I wanna know who was the leading force behind that. Like was Josh himself just like "I look like an actual blonde, this is a hate crime." Or was the hair department like "okay, we went the monstrous One Singular Hair Color™️ (No Depth) route, can we please make him look human this time?" Or did the director just decide Peeta needed a Me Moment after finding out Katniss wasn't into him like that so he got his brows done and had his roots dyed for depth?? Is this a hint that man saw Coriolanus 'Purple Shampoo' Snow and said "not me, y'all stay safe tho." ??

(No because you can tell they really were bickering over what the fuck to do with his hair. He goes from straight 16 year old box bleaching for the first time with no toner in the first movie to his hair being different levels of bleached on a scene to scene basis in Catching Fire until they finally figure out what the fuck they're doing in Mockingjay and find a balance with the brown-blonde ratio, and even then he still doesn't really have the right skin tone to pull off natual blond. No wonder he says he hated the hair process. Say less my guy)

Does anyone else have a hard time taking Baela and Rhaena seriously on that show?

They have no personalities, they barely speak and are overall insignificant. They just stand there.

Wasn’t Baela supposed to have short cropped hair? Wasn’t she supposed to wear pants and act all boyish?

Why is she wearing dresses, acting all proper and her hair is all long? Is there some kind of rule that black women on screen can’t be boyish? Am I missing something?

Instead of catering to “political correctness” and “imposed diversity”, they could have made the effort to actually give them the personalities they were so clearly described to have in the book!

i was reading a gendrya fanfic (what else huh) and actually read "arya watched gendry put his hand in his brown hair" and it really took me out, dear writer, that's joe dempsie's hair colour and not gendry's hair colour. you know gendry, one of a lot of baratheon's bastards, which are known to have blue eyes and hair black as coal. the damage that got and d&d did to the asoiaf community even if is something as minimum as this, will never end

Here's my take on Effie Trinket and yes, I wanted her to look a bit off-putting. 😝

I added the rose theme towards the end on a whim - I'm not really good at drawing flowers, especially roses but it it fit the pink vibe so well. The lips are based on the movie make-up but instead of no eyebrows, I went with the highly arched, over-dramatic, thin eyebrows sported by 1930s Hollywood divas.

It was definitely fun to draw her because of the over-the-top fashion and hair. I'll probably draw her some more just because it's so much fun coming up with those outrageous styles. 😄

one thing i LOVE about lockwood & co cast interviews is that the three of them seem like totally normal young people, especially in the way they speak.

none of them have been majorly in the spotlight from a very young age so were potentially subjected to slightly less rigorous media training, meaning they say things like "i see the vision" or make pop culture references like "do you wear wigs?" (the iconic elijah wood interview).

it's just extremely refreshing to hear them talk exactly like so many young people do nowadays and it makes them even more relatable and honestly likeable.

(and it helps that the people who edit the videos generally seem to emphasise that aspect, too!)
