Complex feelings about copyright and Disney's appalling ethics aside, it does unsettle me how quickly people jump to make and monetize the most unnerving, depraved content imaginable about characters created for children the second it hits the public domain

actually all this talk of wellness trends and health has reminded me of something.

if you're AFAB, you may or may not known what a decidual cast is. this can be useful to know, for example - one of my friends called me crying/terrified because she thought that she had internal bleeding or something else critically wrong, and by chance i happened to actually be able to look at a photo and be like ah, i think i know what's happened here.

#but also always seek medical attention and professional opinions! in this case it was just helpful to calm her down #also super freaky so useful to know #katie rambles

Nah bc why does nobody talk about the fact that Trey let Ace bring the wrong tart to Riddle on purpose?

First of all, there’s absolutely no way that Riddle, buried so deep into his toxic mindset at that point, would’ve let anyone be his second in command without knowing, minimum, 750+ of the Queen’s rules. Childhood friend status regardless, he was buried so deep in the trauma his mother left him with that he would flat out refuse to let anyone who didn’t remember the rules to assist him. Having a vice would be pointless to him otherwise outside of paperwork assistance.

You cannot convince me that he would’ve let Trey be his right hand if Trey didn’t know almost all 810 of the rules on paper.

Second, and the bigger argument here…

Why wouldn’t Trey know that chestnut tarts weren’t allowed?

Trey is the dorm’s baker. He is literally the person in charge of looking after and handling the prep behind unbirthday parties’ catering.

If anyone would know what food can and can’t be brought to those parties right after Riddle himself, it would be Trey. Because he’s fucking in charge of it.

And it doesn’t seem like this is an issue that’s happened before??? He doesn’t say “I forgot again,” or “I always forget that rule,” no, he just says “Sorry, it was my fault,” like it’s the first time he’s made the mistake????

He knew that chestnut tarts weren’t allowed. And yet, he still went out of his way to specifically have Ace work on a chestnut tart, knowing it would only get him into more trouble.

Trey was basically the main driving point that led to Riddle’s overblot. My guy, the issue wasn’t that you stood on the sidelines silently while Riddle spiraled…

It’s that you went out of your way to cause more stress for the guy you claimed you felt horrible about not doing anything for.
