This blog is an unapologetically transmasc and transneutral safe space. Transfem are very and extremely valid (AND! are allowed here too!) , I'm just mostly focused on the other two for this blog because there are very little safe spaces from what I know /g
if you think you can be a terf and bitch to my people? impolitely
fuck off

BINDING TIPS!
Guys, guys, these things are so important:
- Starting with a classic: NEVER USE BANDAGES OR TAPE. So dangerous! Can cause so many issues! (Note: KT/TransTape, as long as it is used and removed safely, is fine and safe, providing you are not allergic to the glue or anything used, and you make sure your nipples are covered beforehand.)
- If you can not get a proper binder, sports bras (no more than two at a time) can be worn!
- Wearing a t-shirt under a binder makes it so much easier to wear! It stops it from slipping or riding up too much.
- Black clothing is amazing for hiding the shape of your body, guys!
- Make sure it fits! A smaller/bigger binder than your size (measure whatever part of your chest sticks out the most) will not actually work! You gain nothing from it.
- gc2b binders are the best out there! Made for trans people by trans people.
- Do not get a binder with velcro/clasps/hooks; binders that you pull over your head work so much better!
- Something I did not realise: Most binders (like gc2b binders) are made so your chest is forward facing! Don't push your ~chesticles~ down, or to the side, or any other unnatural positions! Make sure to adjust 'em so that your nips are front-facing under the binder, and the tissue is evenly distributed. It really makes a difference.
- Do not bind for more than twelve hours. Not under any circumstances. Everyone has their own limits, and twelve hours is a big no-no. Six hours is fine. Ten, maybe. But KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Do not push yourself.
- Take breaks from binding for a couple of days.
- NEVER EXERCISE WHILE BINDING!
- Expect back pain! Expect to be short of breath! You will be winded from walking up the stairs! You will be panting from running down the hallway! Expect chest sagging and acne, and make sure you take good care of your skin!
- If you start having trouble breathing, stop binding.
- If anything starts hurting stop binding immediately!
- Remember to drink lots of water, and to take frequent breaks.
- Do not bind if you have lung/heart issues!
- Do not sleep in your binder! It hurts so friggin' much when you take it off!
- Do not bind if you are ill.
- If you play a woodwind/brass instrument (or any instrument that requires you to take big gulps of breath), do not play it while binding!
- Wash your binder very frequently. But do not put a binder in the dryer! Drip-drying or air-drying works fine.
- A flat chest is not always the goal! Bind for your body type! Lots of people who are AMAB have naturally non-flat chests.
- Do not wear a binder when your skin is wet/dirty. It does not make for a good experience.
Hope this helps y'all out!

Gender can be tough to navigate. Sometimes the words aren’t quite there, maybe you haven’t found them, maybe they don’t exist yet. There’s something amazing about finding a word that describes how you feel/who you are. You can make up the words you want to describe yourself. And if you don’t want words, that’s okay too. Words are limited. It’s amazing we all exist on this little world with so many possibilities of how this one species can be. It’s a shame some don’t or won’t understand. You are awesome. You are valid. You deserve to be happy.

Can someone help?
I'm a dysphoric non-binary trans person, (My sex is female, incase that matters). I want to transition, but I don't want to go on T, because I don't want all the big changes it will cause. I've been doing my best to dress androgynous, leaning a bit more on the masculine side. I've cut my hair short and I don't have an actual chest binder, (yet. I'm currently saving up money to buy one) so instead I layer sports bras and wear baggy hoodies. I've been doing research, seeing what foods have testosterone in them, how much, and seeing how they change the body. I'm looking into different brands of binders, making sure they're safe. (I've heard there's one brand called 'Underworks', and you can find them in Amazon, so That's gonna be fun). I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips on how I can transition, successfully appear as androgynous,(again, a bit more leaning towards the masculine side. Not too much, just a little) or any ways that could make my dysphoria a bit more bearable, without going on T.

Ftx and mtx in this case could mean anything, so including ftm and mtf and not just being alternatives to ftn and mtn

Hello! Ik you've mentioned that you don't write for mcyt's anymore, but I still often come across your fics. And something I've repeatedly seen is you stating "you can just replace them in your head" after stating the pronouns. And it hurts honestly. As a trans person, to see you say that feels like you're trying to undermine mine, and others efforts. I particularly have a problem with when you say it for she/her pronouns, but that's just because I'm ftnb(female to non-binary) and she/her pronouns give me dysphoria. And you can just say "don't read my fics that use she/her pronouns" but you saying "you can just replace them in your head" is kind of saying, "you can read this you're just sensitive." But another thing is, for trans people especially, and cis people(not as much because while cis people can still experience some gender dysphoria it's definitely not as much as trans people), seeing the pronouns you used to go by, or what strangers assume you use, its like a stab to the chest every time, and I understand that for cis people it can be easy to ignore, and easy to change in your head, but that experience is very different for trans people, because we try so hard to change what we are perceived as.
A whole other point is, I use fanfiction as a sort of safe space, and I know many others do as well, and you know, seeing that, the phrase you use, devalues that for me, it's telling me that I am not valid in my own safe space, and idk if I'm alone in this, but idk.
You haven’t done anything wrong, please don't misunderstand. Your work is amazing and I love the fics that I've read. I just wanted to kind of, bring this to your attention? Because you might just be unaware of it? Which is fine! And I don't blame you, I'm certainly don't know the entire workings of minorities I'm not apart of. Anyways lol, this wasn't meant to hold any malice, and I'm definitely not angry, I did get emotional lmao. I cried while writing this hahaha.
Anyways, have a great day/night <3
okay this is the second time its been brought up so i want to address this-
i, under no way had any intentions of making ppl uncomfortable- at the time i wrote my fics, it was common for others to tell me they just replaced it. fanfic and boundaries have definitely evolved a bit in the way its been placed in fics since then so i apologize.
before, i have asked in my posts for gender neutral terms or ways to fix problems that may arise like these- and have received answers that ppl have just replaced them. thus i followed that format but i can see why its an issue now.
i might not have the time to go back and fix then at the moment, but if you continue to see it, please tell me which fics so i can edit them. the purpose of the pronouns at the tol are for you to decide whether to read them or not
i appreciate that you did this kindly and im so sorry i didnt mean to make u cry! this is how u handle situations tho and its all in communication! ive gotten angry cusses before and this is a much nicer change :)
