I got this idea to draw the most fucked up warped shit ever and post it, purposely letting AI scape it. I can't use Nightshade so I'll do what I can. If anyone else would like to contribute please do!

Edit: fair warning this might not work at all, but I'm having fun with it and if enough people join in it means AI will have less actual art to scrape from (on Tumblr at least)

Edit 2: I'll add a list of names on this pinned post. Any name mentioned has argued in support of AI or made the false claim it doesn't invade copyright or steal from us. We can defend the good parts of AI when its not being used to steal from us and replace us. Until then, we only protest in this house. Shitty movies with shitty plots and shitty voice acting still actually have some effort in them (even if they're knock-offs), often some are so bad that they're good and give people some laughs. Now I just saw someone mention a bad movie made by AI and that makes me sad and pissed off. Like where would be the cringe human element? The creative time saving methods that may ultimately look really bad but still give the movie a unique look? (Don't you dare say being generated by AI is unique in itself, it may look "new" right now but its gonna get old real soon and start looking pretty much the same.)

Knowing that most bad movies in the future may just be made by AI just makes me sad because the reason I like to watch shitty movies is just to see what human creativity and ideas, especially the "bad" ones, entail. The mistakes, the over used tropes or straight up off the rails plots, the bad animations and visual effects and cringey voice acting. I ate that shit up.

Like velocipastor??? COME ON

I'm afraid that as time goes on, more and more art will become this randomized yet homogenous glob, the opposite of what I (and hopefully most people) want to see.

Cool you love the character and my baby boy. He isn't yours. You do not have my permission to put him onto an ai app and use my writing to do this.

You don't have permission from any writer. No writer wants.

Thank you for asking but the answer is and will remain no.

If you done this, shame on you. You have no right to do this to writers and feed a machine our shit. We work hard on it and typically we do it for a passion.

This applies for artists.

P.S: Raven's Rising has already been fed to AI because someone wanted to see wtf would happen. I am so pissed off because that was a project between me and friends. Absolutely fascinated by all the people who claim that AI and fanfiction are legally and conceptually indistinguishable, and advocating against one means advocating against the other. Can't tell if they actually think human work is inseparable from that created by machines or if they want us to believe they think that so they have an excuse to keep using AI to steal from living, breathing writers (including fanfic writers) and spew their endless garbage. Just so y'all know, the fuck AI art sentiment goes for music, too. Don't listen to any music created/composed by a program. Putting your own compositions into a program to see how they would sound isn't the same thing because it's your own work played on MIDI instruments, but 'pieces' composed by AI are just the same as 'artwork' created by AI. Bad and fake and putting real people out of jobs

There is not a single upside to AI generated art/videos. We need regulations on this shit and FAST. It’s not impressive, it’s not “the future of storytelling and content creation”, it’s utterly soulless and an insult to artists like myself who have dedicated the entirety of their lives to art.

If it brings anyone any comfort at all, this “Sora” thing is FAR from perfect. There are still plenty of ways to differentiate something AI generated from something real. Please do not let the supposed “advancements” of AI discourage your journey as an artist. Keep drawing. Keep writing. There is nothing out there that will be able to fully replace the beauty of real, genuine human expression.

The fact that more and more people are becoming so casual with ai fucking disgusts me. Like so many places has included ai and people who use it just don’t understand why people are against it and why it basically says to artists, writers, voice actors etc that their work does not matter and a robot could do better. I think ai could be used for good things but the normalisation of it has, in my mind, ruined any chance ai should ever be used in place of human work. I don’t care if you post ai art passing it off as your own, openly state it’s ai or just send a picture just to friends just NEVER FEED THE AI MACHINE

It’s never worth it, either do it yourself, get someone to make it for you or don’t do it.
