An au idea.

Chris Swap Au.

The basic idea is that Steve, Thor and Peter have swapped stories.

In one variation, Steve takes Thors place as Marvels version of the norse god of war and justice, Tyr. He was made a shield by the dwarves that was unbreakable by anything known to the Aesir and would always come back to him no matter where it was thrown. In this version, Peter would take Caps place and he could have been born in the 1910s lile him but whenever it is, hes still taken from Earth at 6 and does normal Star Lord space shit for a while before eventually crashing back to Earth and being known as the first defender of Earth, before hes frozen for a while (then comes back of course). Then Thor in this, was born to a Midgardian/human mother, Ego as his father like canon Peter, only instead of the 80s he was a child in 800s-1100s CE northern europe. Taken from Earth and raised like canon Star Lord and basically just takes his place. Also you can imagine the Guardians and the Revengers (including Heimdall) swapped or not, thats on you.

In the other version, Thor would be in Caps place and was the first Avengers in the 800s-1100s, usually being thought of as a myth in places other than Scandinavia, where many if not mosr people believe he was real still, being told to have possessed a mighty hammer of justice and vibranium that couldn't be broken. One day hes frozen out of the northern ice and yea. Peter Quill is Bragi, the male norse god of poetry and in this case, music. Steve Rogers was found as an orphaned child in the 20s or early 30s and was taken by aliens and raised into Star Lord, the Avengers and Bucky probably taking the role of the Guardians.
