It's so funny to see people say Ed would've been perfectly safe just letting/making Izzy leave the Revenge when what actually happened on the show the second Izzy left the Revenge is him going to the British Navy to get Stede, his crew, and possibly Ed (because they ALL could've easily been killed straight off by the British firing on the ship even before Izzy had any chance to buy Ed back) murdered.
