Hux's "Type"

Hux is one of those people that thinks they have a very specific type, but falls in love with everyone that isn't that.

He thinks he likes people who are down to earth, strict, rule-followers, hold high positions and have a lot to determination to go farther.

He ends up with people who are dreamy, nervous, lack ambition, reckless, stubborn, follow rules only when they think they apply, etc.

And he loves them for it. He doesn't see these things as flaws, because he hates perfect. He's been trying to be perfect for so long, it's what he expects. But being comfortable with someone else's flaws helps him actually live, enjoy life. That what his partner does.

He still likes certain qualities in a person, he likes ambition and people who are down to earth, but he also loves when they're not those things. When he has variety from everyday life.

Government Dog AU

The US Government has a very strong, very unknown meta that they use to threaten the Justice League when they feel the Justice League goes too far.

He is rarely brought out, he's taller than Superman, and every time the League thinks they know what he can do, they're surprised by more.

He's got white hair, green eyes, and can literally possess any leaguer and force them to do what the government said anyways.

They suspect something is off, but any attempts to reason with the meta are rebuffed with a punch.

Impulse sees him once, and while he hovers behind the General threatening Superman, Impulse zeroes in on one thing.

That meta is wearing a collar. It's well disguised, but that's a collar. He'd recognize one anywhere, being as recognizing one meant surviving in the Future.

He glances at Red Robin.

Red Robin nods subtly back.

Impulse launches forward and attaches himself to the big, scary meta's front.

The meta's hands dart out to grab him, and Impulse dodges, tricking the meta into crushing his own collar.

Everyone goes quiet.

The meta holds the crumpled collar in his hands.

"...I'm...free?"

when developing Lili's job as a sex worker, I had a comic planned where Sera and Lili do talk about her job and Sera offers to "save" Lili, but Lili tells her she doesn't want to be saved and doesn't want her job to be viewed as this burden that ruined her life. She likes it, and thats all there is to it.

But, as someone who is not a sex worker himself (despite doing some research and even asking sex workers for feedback), I felt like it came off too preachy and soapbox-y. I also notice that whenever the topic of sex work gets mentioned in my work, a lot people get really upset at the topic. I'll never forget being told that Sera and Lili's relationship was "less wholesome" after finding out that Lili is a sex worker. And the last thing I want is for my reply section to turn into a warzone.

At the same time, I still want to represent sex work as a normal thing. Not just for hell denizens but in general. The fact that sex work is still a poorly represented profession in media, and that I have people assume Lili was "forced" to do her job because that's just assumed at this point is disappointing. I hope the dialogue can make it clear that its normal, and its fine. And please stop saying "poor Sera" she literally summoned Lili, she knows what she got into.

truthfully, shouto doesn't spend long "celebrating". there's already too much that's required of him, hardly enough time to even scarf down a few bites of the banquet laid out before he's being chartered off into discussions on foreign relations and infrastructure development. maybe once or twice does he look back to check on you, chatting pleasantly with his mother and sister at the front of the great hall, and that's satisfying enough.

it's not until much later that he sees you again; freshly bathed and wearing something sheer and long and white, atop his bed.

or his marriage bed, he must remind himself.

enji didn't spend long going over consummation, with him or either of his brothers—natsuo, red-faced and annoyed at the very subject, always storming off, and touya had seemed well-aware of the process, at the time (back before he'd been ex-communicated). it had sounded simple: strip off your dress, get his cock out and into you, and only retreat once he was sure his seed had been spilled.

shouto almost can't get the words out when he feels your hands ghosting up the inside of his shirt, nails tickling over his ribs. "a-am i?"

you wrap your arms around his waist in what could be a hug, scooting forward to look up at him with your chin against his chest. "yes," you smile and—it's familiar in a way, how touya would whenever he was teasing. "you're my husband, you're meant to kiss me whenever i want."

that—was not something his father had ever said, he was sure, and it was a too-rare exchange between his own parents. now that he thinks about it—and he does, then, because he's faced with the reality that he doesn't know as much as he should—he's not sure the former king and queen even sleep in the same room, much less the same bed.

much less hug and touch and even smile, the way you do now.

there's no argument he can make against it, aside from finding keigo to find his father to verify the truth to such a statement, and he's only meant to retreat from this bed on one condition.

and if this is what it takes to meet that—then shouto supposes he'll have to do it, for now. he's a brand new king, after all, and it would seem he still has much to learn.

Mhmm I sure love thinking of the reality where we did get more time to really know Karai and her dynamics with the bros. Losing her hit hard in the finale, but it would’ve hit much, much harder had we known Karai longer and really saw her relationships develop with everyone.

I especially would have been interested in her dynamic with Leo, as past iterations often have the two of them clash in ideals and the like while still sharing many characteristics. Two sides of the same coin, and all that. Her specifically being the bros’ Gram-Gram also adds a whole new dynamic as well.

Imagine how interesting it would be, to have Karai start off on Leo’s side for once, showing wholly just how alike the two are at their cores and bonding as family without the worry of betrayal or animosity that other iterations suffer through, only to have Karai die anyway. Their parting hug and the desperate look of horror Leo wears later on would have hit that much harder, I feel.
