Bucky and Buck get married and have their first fight the same day, when they start argue about who should carry the other one across the threshold bridal style – Buck insists that it must be him because he's the one who popped the question, Bucky protests that it's not fair because Buck only beat him by a few seconds.

He tells Buck, "There's no way you can pick me up and carry me like that, I am too big."

And Buck of course takes it as a challenge and wrestle Bucky until he manages to pick him up – not actually bridal style, more like a sack of potatoes thrown on a shoulder, but a win is a win right?

Except he can't actually hold Bucky's weight like that so they fall in a heap across the threshold, piled one over the other, and once they've assessed that no one's hurt they laugh about it and kiss, right there in the middle of their door without a care in the world because hey, they officially made it! They're husband and husband, and nothing else really matters.

Headcanon Time:

both elden and chris were born and raised in old town, and had been attending the same high school together, so naturally they were each other's gay awakening (being one of the few lesbians in school and all that jazz). unfortunately, it kinda ended when elden realised that he wasn't a woman after all. him and chris had been trying to compromise for a while, until they eventually decided that it would be best for them to break up and remain as friends.

after they were done with school, chris left the town to pursue her dream career as a model in simcity and elden remained living with his ma and their dogs. he'd never thought that she would come back someday, but here she is, seven years later with her new city girlfriend, melissa, while elden remained single, working at the local car repair shop. but it's not all that bad for him, since he had been eyeing the one particular charming lady for a while...

i am NOT linking this bloated offensive and trite “kids these days” “wahh snowflakes” pandering march in lockstep bullshit from a glorified fashion reporter infamous for her idiotic and offensive characterizations of women and feminism. but i have to say. in these difficult times, it sure is wonderful that our great legacy media institutions like the new york times, cnn, nbc, the wall street journal, etc, can take time out of their tireless work (once again) parroting the official line of the united states’ (and israel’s) military and intelligence establishment to take college students to task for…protesting and criticizing university administration. what would we do if these brave journalistic mainstays did not take the brave stances of “major institutions should never be challenged about their role in upholding the political status quo in this country and globally,” and “universities (infamously and unprecedentedly expensive) should not be expected to provide for the students they gouge for money and then gouge for donations as alumni,” and lastly, “only Elite Effete Liberal Private School Babies care about current events, while state school meatheads only care to pound a keg and watch football.” though in fairness that last was one more implied by the article (but outright stated in the comments, lest you expected the elitist old white curmudgeons that make up commentariat of the new york times to ever be fair)

decided to treat myself with the rotation of the kat family (mostly).

since i didn't know what should i do with ginia, and elden had already left the nest durning the hick rotation leaving mama with bobo and duke (he took leroy with him), i decided to pair those two lonely ladies up.

i'm always forgetting that my sims can actually have a same-sex marriage in my game, so i didn't buy them any distinctive bridal dresses :(

ginia was fired from her work, but it's fine since mama had brought a lot of money with her thanks to elden's gnome business, lol. also, mama became quite succsessful at her job anyway, so she could cover the bills and the house renovation costs, while ginia can finally enjoy doing gardening and writing children's books.

so yeah, i have the old women yuri in my nbhood now.
