Okay so I have plans for the blog

I'm gonna replay Xenoblade 1-3, with screenshots on this blog completely since i deleted my old blog with the screenshots on. and document my bid to get 100% completion on all of them, including all the dlcs

I'm gonna be doing some diamond painting the next few days and watching more Star Wars and stuff, so if you dont wanna see my reactions to star wars, block the tag "scarlett watches star wars for the first time"

I'm gonna work on Heaven's Fallen and With God As My Witness, so feel free to ask questions about those wips @cryscal and anyone else interested

finn (star wars) - i mean what more can i say about finn that hasn't already been said. truly one of my favorite characters ever, even with all the wasted potential he had, john's performance was just so great to watch and really made finn THE shining star of the sequel trilogy

neytiri (avatar) - my @'s namesake, a defining character in my bisexual awakening, mother to MANY! i absolutely adore neytiri and all of the parts that make her such a beautiful, broken, hopeful character <3

samwise gamgee (lotr) - i can't think about sam without wanting to cry. i see so much of myself in him but also he is the ideal friend!! loyal to no end, kindhearted, strong, samwise is just so beloved to me

essun (the broken earth trilogy) - it's been a while since i read the trilogy but i remember essun being such a wonderfully written but depressing character, from her childhood to her as an adult and so on. she has stuck with me ever since i finished that series a few years ago and i think about her so often 😭

recently finished a star wars prequel rewatch and I can't stop thinking about ages ago in the tags of a star war post you mentioned battled droid religion and I wanna know moree. would you please share the droid religion

you're actually the second person to ask this but i forgot to reply so anonymous if ur out there sorry xx

anyway i dont have much in the way of a defined theology but i will just say that it is interesting that battle droids say "oh my god" and seem to have an idea of the divine quite different to and distinct from the force, which while you can call jedis a religious order to a degree i dont think they speak about the force as if its divine, per se. i dont know enough to really speak to that, but i do know that c3p0 says "by the maker" which is hella faithy if you ask meeeeeeee and also why do they programme droids to scream when they feel pain??? why not programme them to perceive the divine???

Hey everyone is coming in with their hot star wars take let me join in

Ok so rey and kylos forcebond is genuinely a compelling plot device for two characters on completely different sides with a tangled family history (especially in a series that looves to look at legacy) the thing is that we have two movies backing us up on the fact that kylo is a fucking monstrous asshole. Then we're to believe rey has fallen in love with him despite how he's treated her and the heinous things he did. Simply ludicrous. Sharing a head will make you feel for a person but that's not the same thing as love!

All I'm saying is kyle and rey should have been metaphorical siblings thank you for coming to my ted talk

Currently reading: Fanfiction lol. Im terrible at reading books… but there are a few on my list. However when the Star Wars: Brotherhood book comes out next month I suspect I will read that!

Last Song: The Chain - Fleetwood Mac. Lol, guess what show I’ve been watching?

Before this tho it was probably something by Tom Cardy. He’s a hilarious comedic Australian musician and his silly songs give me life and are so catchy. Here's one of my faves.

Last Movie: The Bubble. Watched it with my roommate around a week ago, had no idea what to expect other than i recognized some of the actors in it… he liked it, but I’m sorry I hated this movie bahshejsjdvsbeisksjHAHAHAHAH

Last Series: i guess you don’t have to guess lol OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH!!! This is probably my favourite show ever 👀 it’s just so good, wild, SO original and so wholesome!! The show i expected to not like but didn’t know I needed lol.

Gonna put the rest under a cut so this post isn’t terribly long lol.

Sweet, spicy, or savoury?: Def savoury! I dont mind sweets(though there is a limit) and i dont mind spice(also a limit) but you can never go wrong with savoury?

Coffee or Tea: Tea! Strong coffee gives me a headache, and im not always the biggest fan of the taste… so yes tea 👀 especially black tea!

Three Ships: Cody & Obi-Wan, Stede and Ed, and… hmmmmm… I don’t actually get into shipping a whole lot… and I can't think of a third off the top of my head that I ship really hard right now lol.

First ship: Probably Zelda and Link

Currently working on: Some commissions, some ofmd fan art, and getting my drivers license 👀

Favourite Piece of Clothing: My high waisted black button up jeans, this purple fleece puffy turtleneck sweater, or my God of War hoodie 👀

Comfort food: Spaghetti with this specific sauce my dad makes.

Fav time of year: Fall!! Love the colourful trees, not super hot weather, rain, and then we also start to get snow too which is always exciting.

Fav Fanfiction: I read too many to have just one lol!! I made a compilation of some of my favourites a little while back though, Here. However I have read many more since ...maybe I will make another list sometime soon.

I read some of your more recent posts on the topic, and wanted to ask: what do the terms "proship" and "antiship" mean to you? Half the discourse is from what these two mean, as like every nebulous internet term, multiple definitions exist. "We're trying to prevent the return of all the censorship that targeted queer circles in the name of "the children!" or "We're trying to make people aware fiction does affect reality via one's subconscious bias!" Just wanna prevent any future misunderstanding

in general anon, a "pro ship" is someone who allows any and all kinds of ships in the name of personal enjoyment and "it's fiction it's not real". the censorship thing is secondary because they'd know that most of the censorship that goes on today is from a government or other hegemonic system against an oppressed class, i.e. racial equality groups, gender equality groups, queerness or other things being taken out of media, etc. so like being called a freak on twitter (and with a notable lack of actual action against the proshipper) is not censorship.

An "anti" is a bit more broad as a term cause simply not liking a ship can get one labeled an anti. There's no limit, maximum or minimum, to the number of ships one opposes that'll get them labeled an "anti" by a proship. So back before these words existed, me being only aware of Rexsoka as a ship and being against that would have gotten me labeled an anti. Someone could be pro every ship in the world but Rexsoka and still be labeled an "anti". I dont use anti and I dont label myself one.

Proships do jump to censorship/thinly veiled "freedom of speech!" arguments when they encounter anything they deem "anti behavior", although that censorship comes in the form of (perhaps) finnpoe not being canon and poe being forced into a weird romantic history with that lady in tros. Shipping what is, by definition, a pedophilic relationship does not combat censorship.

antis are too broad and varied as a group to really pin down a set philosophy other than "stop jacking it to things that are pedohphilic and/or straight up bigotry". Proships insist its not any of those because it's fiction (which? lol). I use the following logic:

- You could ship Finn and Poe. That is a gay couple. The word "Gay" might not exist in star wars, but it applies despite finnpoe being fictional.

- you could ship finnrey. That is a hetereosexual interracial couple. The above is also an interracial couple. Nobody denies that the characters are different ethnicities despite star wars not being real.

- you could ship Yoda and Jar Jar. Nobody denies that that's interspecies and also an age gap. In fact, proships will tag all of the above with the relevant tag (gay, agegap, etc)

- God forbid you use this logic to point out that a ship is pedophilic. They jump from its just fiction to "that doesn't make me a bad person because i'd never act on it" (even though we know that actions are not the only determiners of being a good person, and also like closet fucked up people exist and socially they are shunned)

Sorry to turn this into an essay anon, but I really have no patience for them and this started out as a mostly neutral "definition" on what proship and anti mean.
