Jim Morrison: “I’d like to do a song that’s just a pure expression of uh, joy. Like, a pure celebration of uh, existence. You know? Like uh, the coming of spring.. or the sun rising. Like pure unbounded joy. I don’t think we’ve really done that yet.”

Interviewer: “What are the sort of joy’s that you want to introduce?”

Jim Morrison: “Well the feeling I get from our stuff is sort of a heavy..uh sort of a gloomy feeling. Like of someone not quite at home. Not quite relaxed. You know.. aware of a lot of things but not quite sure of anything. I’d like to do one just uh..totally feeling at home.”
