Ted is an ex-insurance investigator who was able to get his son life-saving medical treatment because his first, original Crime Pal Beard was like ‘Ted if your company doesn’t come through with the coverage, we’re doing things my way.’

The company did not come through. The company did let him go due to suspicion of Ted’s involvement in the incident, but Ted will happily remind folks that no charges were formally pressed. Henry is alive and healthy and living with Michelle, who divorced Ted shortly thereafter (not just because of pre-existing marital problems, but because Ted wouldn’t tell her anything about why the doctors “””suddenly decided to do the procedure for free”””). Shortly thereafter, Ted fled the country.

What Ted learned from the whole experience is that there’s a lot of people out there, good people just trying to live by the rules, but sometimes things happen that are just out of their control. And well- if we’ve got the means to help the good people out when no one else will, then shouldn’t we try?

“We’ve got means,” Beard agrees. “And motives.”

Jaune returns with his team to Beacon after a long mission. Ruby and Blake are already there waiting for him to greet him. They try to forget Bleiss and Taupe implications that they have crushes on Jaune... so not true! However they are surprised at his two new companions. They are Shantae and Elphlet and while he considers them just friends... the other two ladies consider him something more. How does that go?

(First Meeting)

The R and B of Team RWBY were at the docking yard where they was waiting for Jaune Arc leader of their sister-team JNPR after a long mission that took him out of Vale to uncertain parts which made Team RWBY and the rest of JNPR worried about him especially to those who hold romantic feeling for him.

"Is he almost here?" The high-pitched voice of Ruby Rose, leader of Team RWBY asked Blake who was reading the latest book of Ninjas of Love.

"He texted me saying he's going about 2 minutes," Blake replied looking up from her book to look at the silver-eyed young woman with a slight smile.

Ruby and Blake would admit they were excited to see Jaune after a long time. As a FRIEND to him and not because they got feelings for him. No matter a certain pair of perverted stalker say otherwise about their very very platonic feeling toward Jaune.

Their thought of their platonic feeling toward Jaune was put in the backburner when the sound of airship landed and the hissing of door open and stepped out of the ship was the tall, bulky form of Jaune Arc smiling big and wide with his signature goofball charm that made their heart flutters with platonic feelings...

...which died out when they saw a pair of women holding on each arms speaking at Jaune with bright smiles on their pretty doll-like faces, a smile that was far from wholesome and platonic in their eyes.

"Hiya guys. Let me introduce you guys to my new friends. Elphelt Valentine and Shantae."

...Ruby and Blake never felt the urge to kill a bitch.

Oliver is the changeling boy

This movie has been On My Mind!! So, in the script Oliver is said to be dressed up as the changeling child for his birthday party. In Midsummer nights dream the changeling child has a minor role. The queen of the fae has stolen an Indian prince and is lavishing him with adoration which is pissing off her husband.

I read this as an in-world dig from the cattons making light of what Felix is doing for Oliver and indirectly expressing how they feel. This may be his party, yes. He may be Felix's favorite boy, yes. But he's a nusicnce and the affections of their royal doesn't make him one of them. He is an outsider.

BUT. In the context of the movie at large Oliver IS the changeling boy in more ways than one. He's not the human among the fae , the way the cattons think. He's not the lad that gets taken back, to the fantastic fairy world. He's the weird human-like thing that gets left behind. He's the freak! the one who's " trying to pass as a real boy", the one who studies the way others act to mimic , the one with uncanny insight and intelligence , the one who is always clocked as different no matter where he is - Oxford or saltburn. He is the changeling boy , and the cattons are the unsuspecting humans about to get drained dry.
