hmmm depends on why the darling is frightened tbh are they always afraid or is this started after cerelos took them the first time? i do imagine he'd be pretty upset and even offended, though he won't outwardly show his feelings. he'd probably start ordering the servants to disappear whenever the darling is in sight, be invisible, to further isolate them, to force them either to face their loneliness and/or accept cerelos as their emperor and husband. since humans are in nature social, they'd naturally long for some form of company and possibly some skin to skin contact.

in short, since the coecrced sex doesn't seem to do enough, cerelos would've likely infict some psychological damages on his darling to force them to accept him. he wouldn't be…physically abusive, no, but he will emotionally and mentally cripple his darling without relying on cruel words and uses some amount of gaslighting.

regardless, you will only have him and you will love him. he is, after all, your emperor and husband. why wouldn't you embrace him and his power?

It was a quiet dawn, the sun rising above the horizon marking the coming of October 30, 2022. The significance of this date? Why, it’s none other than Shu Itsuki’s birthday! You called him back to Japan a night or so before under the guise of missing him, which wasn’t untrue, but you had some ulterior motives.

The plan was to give him a lovely, quiet birthday. A birthday without the stress of idol work, or other people encroaching on his personal matters. His producer wanted a party for him at CosPro, which was fine with you. It was planned for later in the evening, so you had all morning and afternoon with him!

“Rise and shine, Shu!~ The day waits for no one!”

“… what’s got you so bright this morning?”

You simply laughed and kissed his forehead. Shu always looked lovely early in the morning. He looked up at you with bleary eyes, a smile creeping onto his rosy face. Seems he’s remembered what day it is!

“ah, i see what this is about.”

“ufufu, seems like you caught on! <3”

Shu sat up and pulled you into his arms. Even if he tried to hide it, you couldn’t miss his mutterings of appreciation.

Eventually, you both shuffled out of bed. If you woke him up at about 6 AM, surely it must be around 9. You were just so excited to celebrate him. No body else, only him.

The day was filled with cooking together, shopping, and having a few strong drinks after his birthday party~~~

“my dove, you look divine…”

“and you don’t look too bad yourself, pretty boy~”

There was never an end with you two 💀

The alcohol loosened Shu up significantly, and now that his words were flowing… they wouldn’t stop! He drank much more than you, and he just babbled on about his love for you, among other things.

“You know love, getting older is something i hate to think about. If I get to age with you though, i suppose it wouldn’t be so bad.”

“Sentimental, are we? But I feel the same, sweet boy.”

He smiled sweetly but then, he paused. he stuttered. hell, he may have sobered up some. The wine he was drinking dripped down his chin as his mouth hung open in slight shock. Sweet… boy? He was used to ‘pretty boy’ or something along those lines, but sweet boy? He had to recollect himself.

“say- say that again.”

“hm? what was that, sweet boy?”

You watched him swallow harshly and wipe the wine off his chin. He always did love things like this. Shu moved so he was laying against you, resting his head on your shoulder.

“I’m far too weak for you.”

“I think I could say the same to you.”

If you asked him about it in the morning, he’d deny it with all his might… but he really enjoyed spending a few days off with you. He enjoyed it even if he embarrassed himself.

“… thank you for today, love.”

“the privilege was mine, dear.”

yes!!! i realized Too Late that i had a trend of long running pcs that were only children with a fucked up relationship to their single parent and we Dont need to read into it <3333 but my main pc rn bo has new family now!!! both in the party and also he reconnected with his bio dad and has a new adoptive sister and he's so incredibly thankful. its actually his birthday today happy birthday king!!!

17. What's your favorite thing your DM does?

okay favorite specific thing is when we / our pcs say something stupid and you know that quote from discworld thats like "granny could listen in a cutting way. she could make things sound stupid just by hearing them" simply so hollis and his npcs core. its so funny and fun. simply we are dumb!!! i love saying things to wren and theres just a few beats of silence back and then she repeats what you said to her and youre like so true queen thats the dumbest thing thats even been spoken in a human tongue !!! it really Gets me every time simply get our asses

as far as broad things though like hollis really taught me How To Do NPCs like i just wasnt sure how to do them as a dm before in the handful of games i had run and as a player had never experienced npcs who were just. People and were messy and had their own stuff going on but felt very Human and it really changed the game for me. he once was like "i figure out all the messy relationships between the npcs and Then i figure out whats going on in the plot" and i went oh. so true. Yoink. but genuinely the npcs are just so real & so so dear to me and i cannot wait to be reunited with them in the game!!! were playing again in like a week and were getting closer!!! right now were in the feywild and every new npc is Insane and its so fun. love the lensa npcs!!!!
